An absolute disaster! This McDonald's is the worst I've ever been to. The restaurant was dirty, there were leftovers everywhere, and the floor was sticky. The food was a disgrace—cold, soggy, and unappetizing, as if it had been sitting for ages. The employees were unfriendly, rude, and gave the impression that customers were just a nuisance. Anyone who eats here is really doing themselves a disservice. Save yourself the money and the hassle—go somewhere else!

I'd gladly give it zero stars! The service was completely unfriendly and lazy. The team would rather joke around than serve customers. When asked politely, they were told to order at the terminal (which was turned off). Furthermore, the work was extremely sloppy and unhygienic. They had just cleaned, but no hands were washed, and they threw the dust mop on the counter where the food was being prepared. 🤮

You simply cannot redeem coupons

The food is unfortunately very overpriced, as is typical for airports, and our food wasn't as tasty as at other McDonald's locations. The wait time was also quite long, and the self-ordering terminals are unfortunately too well hidden in the back.

Not recommended. My order was forgotten, and after I asked for it a third time, they put together the order but left out a burger and ketchup. After I pointed out that my order was incomplete, the waitress became even more unfriendly.

I asked at the cashier for a table delivery, as I was carrying two luggages and it was quite obvious that I can never carry a tray on top of those. The answer was no, even though there was an employee doing the table service in front of me. While trying to balance the tray and pulling two luggages, the expected happened and I dropped the cola. This is an airport... Everybody is with a luggage. Why cant you by default offer the table service option??

Only food comments. The burger was cold, all the ingredients were outside the bun and it was very, very dry. The burger was also poorly packaged, as if it had flown 500km and the paper was all open. Please pay attention to this and work through these mistakes with your employees.

I was there with my son, Jordan Jr. He was shocked. The fries most likely had plasmatic mold. Why are the fries green?

Terrible staff!!! Food was ICE COLD!! Ordered two small items at 9 a.m., and it took over 15 minutes! When I asked for a solution, they responded with disrespectful and unpronounceable German!!

Even though it's Germany, McDonald's breakfast doesn't have fries. The croissants are delicious. I ordered from the same machine as in Japan. I don't understand German at all. The taste is the same. What a relief.

!!! Disrespectful salespeople. They are rude and make fun of customers. When I accidentally fell, no one offered to help me, and the salespeople just started laughing loudly. When we asked for a Happy Meal, they first told us there weren't any, then that it was 10:30, then that it was 11:00, and then started laughing at us again. I've never experienced so much contempt and insults in a restaurant. It's simply awful.

The service is terrible! They are rude and insulting. Very bad.

Incredibly rude and hostile staff. I ordered with a table locator and my food didn’t arrive for over 20 minutes. I went to the counter and was shouted at by a man saying they “couldn’t find” me, throwing my receipt in my face. My locator was very visible.

I came in and just 1 whole spilled Coke was lying on the floor for more than 30 minutes

So far, everything's fine. It's a shame the sundae is no longer available in a cone, but only in a disposable paper cup.

Still on site, August 19th at 7:30 a.m. Totally filthy, pancakes probably from the day before, rock-hard, and the McMuffin completely dry, with sticky edges. Never experienced anything like this before, and at Cologne Airport.

The early shift there is very cheeky and slightly underdeveloped.

Stingy people. They won’t give you any ketchup or mayo unless you show them the receipt and pay for it!!! Fries were so old. No soda refill. Don’t eat here!

McDonald's Cologne Bonn Airport (July 12, 2025) We were at the airport with our family and wanted to eat at McDonald's before our flight. My two daughters (9 and 11 years old) were especially looking forward to nuggets and fries. At the ordering counter, we were served very friendly by a male employee who even pointed us to a coupon that made the 20-pack nuggets cheaper – truly top-notch customer service! It was very busy, and we had to wait a bit, which is understandable for an airport. I once ran ahead to the gates with my luggage while my wife got the food. Later, it turned out that the nuggets had been forgotten. So I ran back and spoke to an employee. He asked for the receipt – unfortunately, we didn't have it anymore, as it hadn't been given to us when we were handed out. Then they called the shift manager – a tall, blonde woman – who unfortunately was very rude and uncooperative. Even though the cashier confirmed that we had ordered the 20-piece nuggets, she insisted on the receipt and refused to offer any solution. When I frustrated, I said I would simply pay her again, the situation escalated completely. She refused to sell me anything else and even threatened to call the police, even though I remained polite. This was completely incomprehensible to me, especially because my two daughters were disappointed and sad. This kind of customer treatment is unacceptable to me—especially not in a branch at an international airport. The cashier was really helpful—but the shift manager's behavior was abysmal. I hope McDonald's takes this kind of thing seriously.

The food is typically good and prepared quickly, as you'd expect from McDonald's. The staff are unfriendly, and everyone is obviously dirty or smeared. Trays of trash are left on the tables because the trash cart isn't emptied.

The service was excellent, the only thing is that the nuggets are disgusting; they're so fried that they're inedible. I asked for them to be replaced, and they were replaced, but they were just as disgusting. They taste a lot like they've been fried in old oil.

The employees at this airport McDonald's were extremely incompetent. The manager boy had to come over and make sure the customers could pay because the cashier couldn't understand anything – what a pity! We had trouble getting fries and a vanilla milkshake, but the employee who gave us the shake wouldn't give us a straw. We had to ask the manager boy for that too! The vanilla milkshake didn't taste like vanilla at all; it was very icy and had a brown stain. The fries were completely oily. We were very disappointed; these employees should be fired; they have no clue!!

I ordered a McDonald's meal before the flight, and a caterpillar came out of the burger. Good thing I checked the burger. I reported it and was insulted by some Indian. I didn't get my money back. It was simply disgusting, unhygienic, and inedible. As if that wasn't enough, I wasn't even noticed! People, buy snacks for the flight, you know what I mean!

Reasonable prices for an airport, open 24 hours

why is there a huge McDonald's sign up there INSIDE the Security Restricted Area of the airport when the place itself is BEFORE the security check (and, therefore, no longer accessible once you're inside) ??

Unfriendly staff. The fries weren't even cooked all the way through, and the burger was drenched in oil. When I told them I couldn't give my child fries that weren't even cooked through, the staff didn't care and were just unfriendly, saying, "Yeah, it's none of my business. I can't change it."

Quite rare to find major fast food brands in relatively small airports so it was a welcomed surprise; especially since the places to eat before security are limited here. Plenty of seating.

We were there because of our flight and had ordered something to eat here and when the food was ready we wanted to sit down but unfortunately half of the seat belts were apparently not open or locked. When we wanted to sit down a very angry red-haired man came to me who told me why we wanted to sit here and that it was saved and the boss said so and when I tried to explain to him quietly that no boss had told me that it was saved he already opened the door other customers went off and said why the barrier was gone. The other guest simply said that who they were eating to sell here was implemented somehow. I went to the boss and asked why it was blocked. He said that the other half belonged to the airport and when I went back to the seats, they opened it against a part of me, just lazy. They don't want to clean so much here. I wanted an espresso machiato and got black coffee with some foamed milk for 3.19 euros, such a disgrace. You should do something like that at MC Café and not where the citizens sell. Next time they'll hear from me.

I can't understand the bad reviews at all. For me the best McDonald's I've ever been to. The order has just been sent via the terminal and less than 5 minutes later the food is hot!!! Delivered to the table. And that for an mces that is in the airport, I haven't even experienced that with empty, conventional mces. The only drawback: our glasses were forgotten, but now the positive: without any discussions, not even a receipt was asked for, our glasses were handed over to us in an extremely friendly manner. Huge plus point: best view you can possibly have! Keep it up and don't let it get you down, we'll be back very soon! 🫶🏼

I wanted to order something, I waited for an hour and now I have a stomach ache.

Store was practically empty but it was pure chaos, they couldn't get the order right, it took a lot longer and in the end I still didn't have the right thing but missed the train.

As has already been seen in several McDonald's branches, the employees here do not wear gloves when they serve the burgers. I find that quite unhygienic. Also, I ordered a 20 chicken nugget box and there were only 15 in it. I find that absolutely outrageous, considering that you pay €11.49 for it.

Impossibly unfriendly employees. Here the customer is not king, but nothing at all. Never again. The mcc employees have achieved nothing more than being employed by MD, but leaving the boss hanging.

I ordered ketchup, and they gave me curry (I had no time to check it before leaving). I ordered a latte macchiato, and they gave me iced tea first; when I pointed this out, they gave me café (I had no time to check it before leaving).

Unfortunately, this McDonalds at Cologne-Bonn Airport is very unkempt and dirty. The service stations are often empty and dirty tables are not cleaned. The staff is also very careless, seems disinterested and reacts very unfriendly to questions or tips. Service is definitely not practiced here. I don't need to say anything about the food, it's just McDonalds.

Unfortunately it was one of the worst Big Tastys ever. Dripping with fat. I've never experienced anything like this before. Everything was very dirty and untidy. You feel grubby

Super slow service, no care in the world, it taken about 30min to order 3 meals, with a bunch of people who order after me getting there stuff before me, and those people didn’t have big meals either, also no apology for the slow service from the staff or manger on shift, which I was shocked by, ridiculous what a joke. Food wasn’t that good either. Also only got two out of the 3 items I order because of the slow service, I also only got refunded the crossiabt I didn’t have, not sure why that took so long, also it wasn’t clear if I was gonna get anything back at first. Do not order here unless you want to wait a ridiculous time and have not so friendly staff take orders

The food is generally up to standard, but unfortunately the service here really wasn't great. Unfortunately, food preparation and serving seemed quite disorganized and overwhelmed.

Tried a mcsundae again, forget it! Either the ice cream machine is broken or you forgot to fill the cups, see for yourself!

Today we went to McDonalds with 7 kids after a tour of the airport. We ordered 7 Happy Meals with nuggets, 6x apple spritzer, 1x water. In a rather harsh tone we were asked to announce and reserve such a large order in advance next time. Apart from this irritating announcement, everything was great! You can see the planes taking off and landing from the table.

McDonald's as usual but more expensive makes no sense. 2 big mac menu small 25 euros!! Scammers

Service was quite slow and it was very unclear exactly what products were available, but the food itself was very good. Lots of seating and everything pretty neat.

I regularly visit this McDonald's and it is my favourite. Quick service and always friendly! If you get a window seat, you have a nice overview of terminal 2 waiting zone and the airplanes. Always nice to stop by here.

This isn't the first time I've visited this store, but this time it was the absolute highlight. After waiting for 20 minutes, I was delivered a Mc Rib without sauce, the meat was burnt black, and when I asked, half a liter of BBQ sauce was smeared on it. However, such amounts give you stomach upset. Never again! Please rely on decent employees when looking for personnel!

The food is like any McDonalds, you can't complain. The food came very quickly, the staff was really friendly and you could have a good chat about where you were, what your holiday was like, etc. For a McDonalds at the airport, this one is incredibly good👍

This is not my first time visiting this McDonald’s. Unfortunately, it's not the first time I've experienced the employees' careless and even rude attitude towards guests. It seems like it's a burden for them to work. They call loudly to each other. If you come with a smile and place an order, they seem grumpy and unfriendly. When you pick up your order, say thank you and have a nice day, they look at you (sorry) like you're a piece of trash. It's very uncomfortable. The McCafe was once again closed, even though there were enough people there. It's a real shame that such a dismissive staff works in such a good location.

On the side where you want to be as quickly as possible without stress, they were not available to order something. It might be a point to include these guests as well.

Located on the top floor in terminal 2 this is very busy. Visited at 2140. Ordered on touchscreen. Good prepared fairly quickly. Burger and fries hot and drink ice cold. Perfect. The atmosphere on the eating area is poor. Rubbish trays not cleared from the racks so overflowing and tables dirty. It’s the only thing giving a bad experience. Hygiene here should he improved

Access is before security. Pretty much exactly what you’d expect. Unusually the self serve kiosks are at the opposite end of the restaurant to the counter, so most people queue without seeing them. Service was super quick, location was clean and there were plenty of available tables. Food - well, as you’d expect.

Honestly? Worst MC's ever. Extremely overwhelmed staff (everyone!), hygiene is subpar, from too many crumbs in the cracks of the sofa to the staff themselves. I then helped the employee with an order in English (his English was “broken,” as he said himself) — the fact that an MA at an airport doesn't speak English is something to really think about in my opinion. Afterwards, when it was our turn to order and I talked about sharing a large Fanta with my friend since we still have water for the return trip, the employee became extremely unpleasantly loud and Strange and my “no third-party drinks allowed!!! “ - okay, we didn’t plan on drinking in the “restaurant”. Another employee was cleaning up, then suddenly swept the fries off the floor next to us (that kicks up dust that we then eat?!?!), and he himself had some hair hanging on his top. So hygiene is really UNDERGROUND & extremely disgusting. In addition, during the waiting time there were 3 complaints about missing food or something similar, which we heard at such a volume that one could only feel embarrassed.

Went here to quickly eat 2 fries. They were pretty much everywhere at McDonald’s The checkout staff argued during a tour, which was really embarrassing, so that the (presumably) shift manager had to ask several times to concentrate on work. Employee Philipp wiped the sweat from his face with his shirt. I was allowed to look at his stomach. Very appetizing. His colleague at the checkout was completely incompetent, I had to point out 4 times that I wanted 2 fries. Seriously, that was an order of 2 fries, 2x mayo and 1x ketchup. He didn't understand.

I have never seen such an untrained team. If I order a Big Mac Bacon TS without bacon, then it goes without saying that the citizen has to be remade. Basically, you can't just remove the bacon. What happened, half of the bacon was removed and the other half was still there. Unfortunately I have to give one star, otherwise I wouldn't have given one at all. Please eat somewhere else but not here, unfortunately very unhygienic.

First they gave me an already melted mcsundae and then when I opened my chicken burger I noticed that it was already pretty flattened and there wasn't much sauce or toppings in it. I went back to the counter and complained, to which they responded professionally but were still annoyed as if it was my fault, but sorry that I just have to spend MONEY on something like that. I just got a new mcsundae that wasn't melted and my chicken burger was also completely complete. Still, it's pretty bad that you give something like that to customers. Am disappointed.

We ate here out of necessity. Tables were dirty and the food, with all due respect, I don't expect much here, but the burgers tasted slightly sour and the fries tasted like stale fat. Couldn't finish it!

I've just come from McDonald's, Cologne Bonn Airport, I ordered two burgers. I'm standing in front of the TK and then I see my colleague. How does the burger almost all the time without gloves, burger and at the same time his body so he grabs his stomach and so the time from his back and then the burger almost does the burger without gloves that's really disgusting. The guy with the bald head should look for a new job. The store is run like hell. Oh and the fries are salted very briefly in one place and not even mixed through. They taste limp, unsalted and the fat is stale. The burgers are dry and the meat smells funny. I've never experienced anything like that at McDonald's. Better poison yourself with something else instead of eating here. DISGUSTING STORE!!!!

Racism and discrimination Rude and impolite, uneducated shift manager and discriminant shift manager who come and shouted to tourist without any reason more than one time. Tall one. He came and shouted without any reason told that if tourist will not leave immediately he will call police. When I asked his name and surname to complain he was afraid and did not tell. It’s beauce 20-30 min ago I told that I’m mix of Jewish, Polish and Muslim ancestors. Hope he will be fired asap I’m pretty sure that even if there were something out of rules only way is not shouting and threatening foreigner in that way

We didn't let the bad reviews put us off and went to McDonalds at Cologne-Bonn Airport for breakfast. The view is of the gates of the non-Schengen area and you can also see the tarmac and planes landing. We ordered via the app and it was served in no time by a friendly employee. Overall there was little going on in the early morning. The bacon & eggs we ordered tasted good, as did the café and latte macchiato.

This McDonalds has changed my mind about McDonald’s. It is very clean and staff are friendly. Food is very fresh and nuggets are also freshly fried! Very happy with it!

We were there early in the morning on April 18th with our child as we had an early flight. Our daughter fell asleep while we were sitting there in the quiet area with the remaining food and drinks. The shift manager was very rude to us because he wanted to do the cleaning. He didn't introduce himself and, without discussing the situation, directly threatened consequences instead of showing understanding. Since McDonalds presents itself as family-oriented, we were very negatively surprised.

Unfortunately, I was recently disappointed with my experience at your restaurant at Cologne/Bonn Airport. I wanted to take a quick break before my flight to Dubai, so I ordered a coffee. However, I was very disappointed when I asked for a coffee in a glass cup and was treated with contempt. The employee explained that this was not possible due to a damaged dishwasher, although cups were clearly stacked on the coffee machine. After insisting, I was told to return the cups as staff were worried they might be stolen. This degrading treatment has greatly affected my trust in your restaurant and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. Everything is overcooked and tasteless, the burger is small and looks old, the coffee is bitter, flies are flying.

Screens for order are partially broken and not maintained. When reported to service personal (Shichtleiterin) she reacted negatively and was quite rude. Overall bad impressions and McDonalds should consider follow-up action with Mr Hans-Otto Westphal.

You try to order via the terminal and then at the end the device stops. Then go to the answer switch there. Yes, bad luck then you have to wait. That's not possible, sorry Mc, that's nonsense

For breakfast, you can only order 2 of the 4 products offered because everything is sold out. When you give the order to the lady you have to repeat everything twice because she keeps turning around and having conversations about her free time.

What could be difficult about making a burger right? I wish the McDonalds staff in this branch to stay working here until they retire!
