Good Indian restaurant with good taste

Ordered three items Dal Makhani, Paneer Tikka masala and Garlic Naan. A very disappointing experience. I specially mentioned about usage of oil and to use either minimum to no oil and if possible replace with ghee or butter but the dal makhani was full of oil and I literally had to use multiple tissue papers to absorb the excess oil and it was not the taste of Dal Makhani as it was on the sweeter side and didn't feel good. if you name Mataji's kitchen atleast respect the request and health of people. My mataji would feed me with this much oil in a week. Paneer Tikka masala was not grilled or marinated and it was also on the sweet side. Who the hell makes tikka masala as sweet. It was actually butter paneer masala but the taste was not super disappointing although the paneer was quite hard. Naan was really hard by the time it reached me. Maybe it taste ok if I order it in the restaurant. The quantity of the rice was too less and it was not enough even for a kid I assume.

The food was really excellent, and the lunch selection was also very tempting at €8.90 per main course ;-)

The best indian food I have ever tasted in EUROPE, I recommend it very hard, waiters are very helpful and friendly food was delicious and fresh 👌 BIG thanks from kuwaiti family 🇰🇼 I strongly recommend the restaurant, very delicious. Very tasty dishes. Food is usually very spicy but if you ask they make the food just as mild as you want it. Waiter very attentive. The owner takes very good care of his guests and brings a nice personal touch atmosphere.

Extremely good food at reasonable prices. However, you have to bring some time, the kitchen seemed a bit overwhelmed. But the food was so good that the wait was worth it. Service was very attentive and extremely friendly. Recommended!

We have only been here twice (once in a large group and once as a couple) and we are very impressed. The food is extremely tasty and the price is also really good. There is a large menu with lots of choice. The service is attentive and very nice. Above all, the manager of the restaurant welcomes you very warmly and advises you on your choice of food in a nice and humorous way. You sit comfortably in a medium-sized room. The toilets are also perfectly fine. This restaurant is one of our absolute favorite Indian restaurants, especially because of the really friendly service, and we will definitely come here often

Great place. We were there for a birthday dinner. We were warmly welcomed with birthday decorations at our table. The food was excellent. Very tasty, incredibly fresh and diverse. The tandoori duck and chicken (chicken tikka) were tender and tasted excellent. The Hugo was prepared with love with lots of fresh mint and lime. We even got champagne on the house as a birthday greeting. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. I can recommend the restaurant to everyone and will definitely come back. Thanks for this lovely meal!

I went for the lunch menu, just to try the food, and it was good. Chicken jalfrezi was tasty and the sauce was delicious. A salt lassi was also very nice. I will go back again, as there are probably other good things to try.

The service was friendly and accommodating. The menu is huge, you can choose from so many different types of meat. We had mango chicken once and lamb tikka masala once. We also had 2x naan bread, one normal and one with garlic. Everything tasted great. I had also ordered a Mango Lassi, the standard version, which was also very tasty. Priced in the middle range, but definitely okay for the quality. I can only recommend!

Being Indian, I was surprised by the authenticity, taste, and quality of food served here. The restaurant had plenty of seating, the staff were quite polite, and hygiene was top-notch. Their portion size was ample for two, and the taste was top-notch. Their dal soup was amongst the best I've had, and the naans were delicious. I would love to visit them again. Overall a must recommend for anyone craving Indian food in Munich.

After the very good reviews, I went with my friends last Friday. The food was initially mixed up, then an extremely spicy meal was served instead of a mild one. The spicy food gave me extreme bloating and stomach cramps. At the end the waitress just rudely said that what I had eaten was typical non-connoisseur food and that it therefore didn't matter how it tasted. I am very disappointed with this Indian.

We often love going out for Indian food and have therefore visited many restaurants... But this Mataji's Restaurant is really something special....!!!!❤️ The three of us each had a soup, a mixed starter plate and a total of 3 desserts. Really EVERY dish tasted excellent 👍 (everyone tried everyone) and was mostly presented completely differently than you are used to in most Indian restaurants... REALLY GREAT...!!!! The service was also extremely attentive and very friendly... You feel very welcome there...👌 Ambiance is small but FINE.... Conclusion: An ABSOLUTE MUST (!) for EVERYONE, who loves Indian food...👍 TOP.....!!!!!👌

Yesterday, ten of us were guests at Mataji's Kitchen and spent a wonderful evening there. The range of dishes was very diverse, with plenty of vegetarian and meat dishes to choose from. The service staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious! We'd love to come back! :)

Friendly, tasty, recommended. The team also cooks some Indian dishes in a “modern” interpretation; the starters include lentils, sweet potatoes are used and Indian bowls are offered. Tip: Reservations are definitely recommended on the weekend, the dining room is quite compact and the restaurant is very popular.

Real secret tip, I had a “wow” moment when serving it as it was visually pleasing and fascinating in terms of taste ☺️ Great staff, extremely friendly and accommodating :) Including explanations of the preparation I can really recommend Matajis Kitchen to anyone who wants to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff for a meal ✌️

Kleines verstecktes Restaurant direkt an der Schleißheimer Straße in der Nähe vom Nordbad. Der Gastraum ist recht klein, daher würde ich eine Reservierung empfehlen. Service war schnell und aufmerksam. Uns haben sowohl die Vorspeisen (wir hatten drei verschiedene) als auch die Hauptgerichte sehr gut geschmeckt. Mango Lassi und auch das Naan waren ausgezeichnet. Preislich auch völlig in Ordnung.

Ich habe gestern über die Website bestellt. Das Butter Chicken war sehr gut, das Knoblauch Naan Brot war leider etwas angebrannt und hart. Nicht so weich und fluffig wie ich es kenne

Wir bestellen ein mal die Woche und waren noch nie enttäuscht. Das Essen ist super lecker, merklich selbst gemacht und nicht Großhandel-Wahre. Beispielsweise sind die Dips variabel in Farbe und Konsistenz, weil die Köche sie frisch hergestellt haben anstatt sie aus dem Tetrapack aufzufüllen. Das heißt aber auch, dass das Essen unterschiedlich schmeckt, je nach Koch des Tages. Die Auswahl vegetarischer Gerichte ist super. Das Shai Baigan bestellen wir fast immer und es ist rauchig-würzig oder auch tomatig-fruchtig, je nach Koch. Wir mögen beide Varianten und waren sehr enttäuscht, als wir in einem anderen indischen Restaurant nicht ansatzweise die Qualität von Mataji bekommen haben, bei den gleichen Gerichten. Außerdem gibt es immer saisonale Gerichte und ab und an neue Experimente. Hier wird mit Liebe und Leidenschaft gekocht. selbst die Lieferanten begegnen einen mit Freundlichkeit und Begeisterung. Vollumfänglich empfehlenswert.
