We returned after an 11-hour trip to this typical Black Forest restaurant. It's always a great pleasure. The welcome and the cuisine are perfect. Since our last visit there have been some interesting changes with a concept of small tapas-style dishes, which allows you to taste several dishes. We will come back very soon! THANKS

Simply completely surprising and simply perfect. The madness at the end: The spinach-apple-ginger sorbet is out of this world, it's extragalactic! And the rest of the food: light, exciting and modern - to share and enjoy! Worth a trip!

The food was very tasty and, contrary to our expectations, not typically hearty but light and very creative. The absolute highlight was the spinach-apple-ginger sorbet for dessert. This has addictive potential. Very attentive and nice service. Thank you for the great hospitality.

When you enter the living room you are immediately enveloped in a wonderful smell of warm wood, delicious country food and cosiness. The food is served in small bowls - and in each of these small bowls (called Tempers) a wonderful world of taste opens up to you. Really tasty, beautifully prepared and served in such a nice and well-positioned manner. A great experience - we'll be back.

Very welcoming hosts, a cozy, traditional atmosphere, an innovative menu concept (you can put together a dozen delicious tastings), excellent cooking, and extremely fair prices. We'll definitely stop by again on our next trip to Badenweiler.

Heute wurden wir von dem genialen Konzept mit badischen Tapas (Versucherle) überrascht und waren ganz begeistert. Aus der großen Auswahl fanden wir Alles, was wir probiert haben, besonders gut. Ob Feldsalat mit Walnusspesto, Salatschüsselchen mit frischen Kräutern oder geschmortes Rinderbäckle. Auch für mich als Vegetarierin gab es eine super Auswahl. Total lecker war die glasierte Rote Beete mit Schmormöhren. Himmlisches Zwetschgen-Tiramisu, eine unwiderstehliche Begierde und köstliches Bourbonvanille-Eis krönten den Abend. Generell hat es uns sehr gefallen aus den verschiedenen Schälchen zu teilen, weshalb wir auf jeden Fall nicht nur als Paar (für den nächsten romantischen Abend) wiederkommen werden, sondern auch unbedingt mit unseren Freunden das Wohlfühlambiente geniessen wollen. Super nettes Personal und absolut gerechtfertigte Preise, da regional, saisonal und mit viel Aufwand neue Gerichte kreiert werden. Beeindruckend ist, dass sich die Karte mehrmals im Jahr an die Geschenke der Natur anpasst. Wir freuen uns schon auf die Ingwer-Äpfel und können es nicht erwarten, weitere Überraschungen auszuprobieren. Felix&Eileen

The dishes and desserts don't taste good and are served in small bowls with little capacity. No matter what you order, it comes to the table in liquid form - including the ice cream. Very bad price-performance ratio. Do not order an apple juice spritzer, as a small jug of apple juice and a small bottle of mineral water are brought, both of which cost a total of 9.00 euros. Although the ambience is pleasant, we will not be dining here again. There are restaurants everywhere in Baden where you can eat better and cheaper.

Highly recommended. The Winzerstube has a new concept that I really like for several reasons. There are small, delicious portions that can be combined to your heart's content. This creates an almost “tapas” vibe that invites you to try your way through the menu. I really like this type of food because it is sociable and communicative. All dishes were modern, creative, seasonal and related to the region. Without exception, everything tasted very good and the service was warm, attentive and friendly. All in all just a great place. We look forward to the next visit.

Service is very courteous and the location is suitably rustic. The prices are clearly too high for the portions and presentation. Wiener-style schnitzel with Brägele for €21. Given the price, I expect at least a side salad and a slightly larger portion. Why not offer a small second helping for people who are more hungry? Many seniors eat less anyway.

The quality of the food is good. Compared to the restaurants around the Winterstube, which also offer good quality, it is rather expensive here. And with rather small portions. Example: ONE single Maultaschen with some leeks €15.80, two schnitzels with fried potatoes €18.50. And no, they are not from veal, but from pork. In addition, the service is very slow and you really don't get any attention from them. We sat in front of our empty plates for 23 minutes while the staff, including the boss, walked past our empty table several times. You don't need to say anything about the opening times.

Very traditional restaurant with regional specialties and wines from the region

Very customer-oriented service, excellent down-to-earth food that has been carefully brought into the 21st century with a twist. The tapas and brawn were first class. And a great selection of Markgräfler wines!

By far an unmissable address in Badenweiler, the service is friendly, the setting is typical and the cuisine is quality, from starter to dessert. For my part, I swear by the house’s famous Black Angus Roastbeef! Please note, reservations are strongly recommended if you hope to be able to dine there. Looking forward to returning to share a good meal there during my next visit to Badenweiler!

Pricey bill for what you get. Aperol that tastes more like wine than Aperol. Food is tasty, lots of fresh herbs used. It is a wine bar, so logically no beer available. (I forgot) Felt a bit on an assembly line. We were in and out in 45 minutes.

Good food and the kitchen is flexible, I think the service can communicate the guests' special requests well. Exchanging a few words with the boss before the big service is a privilege today... thank you. We'll be back in November...

Stubenplatte & 2 schnitzels “Viennese style” plus salad….. The food and salad were very tasty. However, there could have been a little more “hit” with the fried potatoes. The ham on the parlor plate was A+ 😋 🫣It was amusing to overhear the very loud conversation at the table next door... we know everything now 😂

Good food with Baden roots in a nice restaurant. Great wines. Update after please share more details 2024-08-27 Food 3 stars - OK... Winemaker tapas - unfortunately not typical for sharing like tapas - apart from the ham, everything was only on the plate once and only the tower of three originals was unfortunately overpowered by the topping Sausage salad - nothing out of the ordinary, too much vinegar, cucumber, too much bed of lettuce - good farmer's bread Schnitzel Viennese style - OK but the schnitzel is too thick, tightly breaded and the breading isn't nicely battered. The fried potatoes OK and very good ham. Unfortunately no vegetables or salad. Service OK - unfortunately it was extremely busy and the service was a bit too demanding. Ambience OK - very crowded and extremely loud even outside. Tables are a bit too narrow and there are no visible paths between the chairs, which means that everyone squeezes through the chair.

In der Markgrafler Winzerstube fühlt man sich gleich sehr herzlich Willkommen und wird zur hausgemachten badischen Küche und den regionalen Weinen aus ihrem eigenen Steinweinkeller top beraten. Genau was ich suchte! Sie legen ehrlichen und sehr hohen Wert auf einen regionalen Bio-Bezug ihrer Produkte und kennen ihre Produzenten/Lieferanten persönlich. Beispielsweise den naheliegenden Fischzüchter und den Bauern für das Schweine- und Rindfleisch. Das spiegelt sich in ihren Speisen, der Getränkeempfehlung und im Geschmack wieder. Genuss mit Freude!! Überraschend altehrwürdiges Haus! Bei einem Hausrundgang mit dem Wirt selbst durfte ich Einblicke in den geschichtlichen Werdegang der Winzerstuben und den wunderschönen bemalten historischen Stuben erhalten. Zu verdanken sind diese einem regionalen Künstler. Sie laden im warmen und stilvollen Ambiente zum gemeinsamen Zusammensitzen und Feiern ein. Der ehrwürdige und wohl sortierte Wein- und Likörkeller, mit all seinen kleinen Details, wie der persönlichen Tonkrugsammlung des Wirten, stimmen das heimelige Ambiente ab. Auch war ich überrascht zu erfahren, dass es Wein-, Gin- und Likör-Tastings gibt und hoffe beim nächsten Mal dabei sein zu können! Der idyllische Gastgarten lädt zum Verweilen an einem lauschigen Sommerabend ein. Für mich war der Tisch im gemütlichen Innenraum, mit offener Terrassentüre, perfekt! Je mehr ich zum Haus, der langjährigen Geschichte und den liebevollen Details erfahren habe, umso dankbarer war ich für den angenehmen und genussvollen Abend. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

This has been the culinary highlight of our trip to the Black Forest. Service was absolutely outstanding and the food was incredible. Wine was paired perfectly with dinner. Do not pass on Black Forest Tiramisu for dessert or schnapps to finish the meal! If possible, ask for a tour of the impressive 4,000 bottle wine cellar. The owner is passionate about supporting local farmers, butchers and vintners. An awesome experience from start to finish!

We went to dinner last night with our VBT group and had the most amazing experience at Markgraefler Winzerstuben . From the food, to the service and tour of the building and wine cellar. It was by far our favorite restaurant on our trip! Highly recommend ! The owner and team truly care about the integrity of the ingredient and supporting the local community .

Amazing experience ! It is very clear the owner and team have a passion for food and celebrating the local culture . We were part of a VBT group and the owner took the time to walkthrough the history of the building and toured us through the wine cellar. It was my favorite experience . Authentic German cuisine that delighted my tastebuds paired with local wines recommended by the owner himself. The owner, York, was engaging and shared his passion for local cuisine and wine. He also shared the history of Markgräfler Winzerstuben followed by a tour of the restaurant. Fantastic!

If you are looking for a delicious meal in a suitable atmosphere, this is the right place for you. The restaurant is typically furnished for the part of the country and the menu is appropriate. The staff, including the boss, are very relaxed and open, always friendly and helpful 👍👍 And should you expect a beer bar to be served in a wine bar? Even I, as an absolute beer drinker from Northern Germany, didn't expect that 😏 Little tip: If you don't want to leave the restaurant hungry, you should make a reservation!!!! Word gets around about good cuisine...

Bravo for the accuracy and mastery of the dishes. Impeccable cuisine, French-speaking staff, a beautiful cellar, a place of rest and dreams. I recommend the cherry tiramisu and the local specialty cheese. We will come back very soon.

All in all satisfactory - the point deduction is based on two things A. 0.5 l water 4.80 euros - box price!! B. 0.1 l sparkling wine 7.10 euros The problem is that almost all restaurants in Badenweiler charge these prices. Which family with children should pay that? Badenweiler has to reinvent itself - the magic of the old health resort is being lost. The hotel and catering industry suffer as a result..

Great! Regional accents with organic products and wines at a first-class price-performance ratio. We were exhausted from a hike and were very happy that we were given a reserved table in the backyard for a good hour. Salad with goat cheese/smoky bacon wrap and fine dried herbs with lettuce: dill note, celery and seeds are ideal in the summer heat. Finally, two types of fine organic hay milk cheese made from natural raw milk. Clearly: top rating!

Definitely a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately we were disappointed by the food served, also considering the many good reviews that suggested otherwise. In the “Klemmbach plate” we ordered, sausage salad was just a small side dish, while it mainly consisted of fried potatoes and quark. The bacon in the fried potatoes was only marginally present. Unfortunately the schnitzel was dry. Summary: Fried potato-heavy, simple cuisine at exorbitant prices.

Such a wonderful find. A traditional restaurant serving traditional meals in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff could not be more helpful. I am vegan and even though there was nothing vegan on the menu the staff went out of their way to make something fantastic for me. Highly recommend.

This is what my Baden homeland tastes like 😍 You can sit nicely in the courtyard. When we arrived here around 8 p.m., it was still quite full, but we got a free table in the corner for our dog and us (two people). This was perfect for us. For dinner I had a large mixed salad and Brägele (vegetarian), my husband had Winzerwürste (two bratwursts) and Brägele with bacon. It tasted really delicious. The service was also great. My husband's only criticism: "There is no beer." 😅 But we are also in a Markgräfler winery here, so everything is good. If we are back in my homeland, we would definitely come here again.

A must visit spot to eat when in the area… super atmosphere, food and service. The slow cooked roast beef, the frozen wine slushy and the flamble apple tart were the highlights.

The local cuisine is delicious, the waiter speaks perfect French recommending magnificent local wines. It’s a must to enjoy perfectly mastered local cuisine.

We ate something here during our passage from Italy to Belgium. We were tired and hungry, but the visit to this restaurant gave us the energy and cheerfulness we needed. Tasty food, good portions, nice atmosphere and fantastic service. We will definitely come back next time!

We were there with our dog, which wasn't a problem. The food itself and the service were very good. Beautifully located beer garden, but it is very full of tables, so you have the feeling of sitting at a table with strangers. We would have expected more for a dessert for €9.5.
