Magic Kumpir in Kaiserslautern

I was disappointed with my visit to Magic Kumper, as many of the dishes I wanted to try were unavailable. The lack of consistency in the offerings severely impacted my dining experience, and I'm hesitant to return in the future.

Very delicious and unique food. Our favorite is Qabuli Palau. The smoothies are also great.

Great Restaurant. The food was perfect, came out fast, and was more than we could eat. As we were paying my wife asked to use the bathroom and was told no. That is the reason for the 4 stars.

the kumpir is very yummy and prices unbeatable

I ordered rice with chicken breast but only got rice with vegetables! After contacting the restaurant I was told that the chicken was out and instead they had given me eggplant. My number was left instead of calling and finding an alternative such as minced meat used the cheapest option and showed no understanding on the phone and called into the phone and now and now?? Absolute impudence rip off

It's super tasty there and there are also many vegan options. We recommend. You should go to food festivals.

To be honest, I had no idea what Afghan cuisine tasted like until then. Now: Really, really great - great food in a really great and friendly restaurant. Exciting and super-tasty mix of flatbreads and rice dishes, “feels” a bit Arabic, a bit Persian and a bit Indian. Many many thanks!

Very good food and freshly prepared plus very well made lemonades. Very good price-performance ratio. We were served in a more than friendly and courteous manner. I can only recommend Magic Kumpir, you can get something completely different to eat here.

In the last few weeks I have often been traveling to Kaiserslautern on business and discovered the Magic Kumpir there. The food tasted excellent. Whether Kumpir, rice or meat, everything is freshly prepared and tastes divine and there is a very large selection of vegan food. The Bolanis are AMAZING and the cherry lemonade is simply incredibly delicious. You really get very large portions for little money. The employee is super friendly and accommodating. A clear recommendation!!! I'd love to come back😊

We ate there often, the employees Mustafa and Ali were very nice and friendly, and the food always tasted very good. The day before yesterday we ate there again and surprisingly the employees weren't there anymore and the food didn't taste good either, the meat was very dry. We are 4 people.

Hello, the restaurant has wonderful Afghan halal food. We were very happy to come for lunch. The service was fast and wonderful, the food was good, the samosas were delicious, the lentils and meatballs, and the coffee was delicious and fresh. I highly recommend it.

We ordered to be picked up once and were there for the first time today. The owner was very friendly, the food was freshly prepared. Everything was to our complete satisfaction. Attention: Do not order for pickup via Lieferando, but rather call the restaurant directly. This saves time and is cheaper for both parties. The cucumber and mint lemonade is homemade and is a great alternative to Cola etc., especially on hot days 👍🏼

Absolutely excellent as always. Favorite place to go for your lunch break Update April 2024: Complete disaster with new cast. The food is no longer well seasoned and is presented in a disgusting manner. Previously 5 stars, now 1 star. Long waiting time

We were there with a group of American and German friends, the service personnel behaviour was not professional and very rude to our female colleagues. The Kabuli Palaw we ordered was not even near to a Kabuli Palaw, the Cola was not carbonated at all. Absolutely a waste of time and money, not recommended at all.

I was a bit skeptical because the restaurant was rated almost too well. However, the food and service are simply great. There are many homemade drinks (e.g. saffron lemonade) and food. There is also a large selection of vegan dishes.

Homemade, large, delicious lemonades and smoothies at fair prices. I really liked the "I want to try everything plate" for about €12.50, just the right thing for those who are reluctant to make decisions like me.

Even if the restaurant looks more like a take-away from the outside, you can eat very well here in a pleasant atmosphere. Whether vegetarian, vegan or with meat, everything is offered. In addition, there is extremely courteous service. A good start to a pleasant evening.

The address in Kaiserslautern for Afghan food! The restaurant is right in the pedestrian zone. Hardly any restaurant/snack bar is so cheap and tasty. Often the music coming from the small Bluetooth box is set so loud that you get a headache after 2 minutes, but if you ask nicely, the nice gentlemen will immediately turn the device on a little quieter. Many vegetarian dishes at a really reasonable price and the exceptional drinks are also absolutely fairly priced for the taste and size offered. The portions are always more than large enough. We go there almost every week on our lunch break and haven't been disappointed once, which is really rare these days.

Himmlisch! Das beste Essen, Kumpir, Kartoffeln in der Schale mit leckersten Beilagen. In meinem Fall Okra und Kichererbsen, Auberginen mit Paprika. Alles auf Wunsch vegan möglich. Fantastischer Geschmack! Dazu selbst gemachte Limonade, ein Gedicht.

Hatten ein vegetarisches "Ich will alles probieren" mit Reis und eine Kumpir. Wir waren echt entrüstet, wie mega gut das war. Absolute Empfehlung! Wir kommen wieder:)

Mega lecker und ausreichend große Portionen, frisch zubereitete Limonaden und Smoothies, und man wird immer unfassbar freundlich bedient und muss auch nicht lange warten. Egal ob mit Fleisch, vegetarisch oder vegan, für jeden Geschmack ist was dabei. Auch unsere achtjährige Tochter mag es sehr, obwohl es keine Chicken Nuggets gibt. Wir kommen immer wieder sehr sehr gerne. Eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants in Kaiserslautern!!!

Mehr durch Zufall auf das Restaurant gestoßen waren wir jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal dort. Die Auswahl an veganen Gerichten ist super, wir wurden unheimlich lieb und zügig bedient und ausnahmslos alles was wir probiert haben war absolut köstlich.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis, schmeckt super, die Getränkenauswahl ist auch hervorragend. Kann nur weiter empfehlen :)

Heute mit einem Freund zum Restaurant Magic Kumpir gekommen. Hab mir nicht gedacht was mich erwartet solange Sie Halal servieren. Ich bin sehr überrascht worden. Service klasse, mit guter Bedienung, die uns auch einige Dinge über die afganischen Gerichte erzählt hat. Das Essen war wirklich gut. Magic Kumpir kann ich jeden empfehlen, der mal etwas neues ausprobieren möchte und noch nie afganische Küche probiert hat.

Ich war mit meinem Essen sehr zufrieden, es war ein Mix aus der Afghanischen Küche. Wenn wir wieder einmal in Kaiserslautern sind kommen wir wieder.

nachdem ich nur Positives von Magic Kumpir gehört hatte, gestern mal was to go mitgenommen. War leider nur mittel. Könnte für mich viel mehr gewürzt sein. Salat war mir dagegen zu süß. Den Hype um das Essen verstehe ich nicht. Leider.

I had the Qabuli Palau Menu set, which comes with the meal and a drink of choice (I had the coconut lassi). The lassi was delicious (and a very generous size too boot) nice and sweet without being overly sweet. The main course was amazing, simple yet satisfying flavors with an amazing puree sauce (if you love spicy food). Lamb was good, and the meat wasn't dry (fell right of the bone). Price for the quality and amount was superb; service was outstanding. It's definitely a place you should try at least once, but no one will blame you for wanting to come back.
