Dinner here had been on our wish list for a long time. Now the time had come and we were not disappointed. We had never been greeted with such a warm smile by everyone, even the “kitchen” looked out..😉The food was beautifully prepared and tasted excellent and was a great treat. The staff were very, very nice, attentive with a smile on their faces. The (kitchen) boss also didn't miss the opportunity to say goodbye to the guests.😊

Very good fillet of beef (perfectly medium rare) and a really good dessert! We'll be back.

We were thrilled with all the dishes, which were incredibly beautifully prepared and incredibly tasty. The menu is not aimed at children (which I didn't expect) but it was absolutely no problem ordering something extra for the little one. Service staff very friendly, attentive and warm. The ambience is also beautiful! Price/performance is absolutely right! Definitely new favorite fine dining restaurant. I'm glad we discovered you. We'll be back. Definitely star cuisine ☆ My opinion! Warm and very attentive service. Very tasty and freshly prepared food, always new ideas. 3 or 4 course menu also with wine accompaniment. The dishes can also be ordered individually. Good wine list It's always a successful, delicious evening there ☆☆☆☆☆

Was here on May 31st, 2024... anyone who is ever in Lautern should visit this restaurant, it's awesome 🥰. A small, fine restaurant with attention to detail (real flowers on the table and every table has different flowers (that's my ❤️)) and fine restaurant... taste explosion included 🥰👍🏼 As a greeting from the kitchen there was rosemary cream cheese and truffle butter with baguette and lentil and zucchini salad with carrot cream. Starter: Ceviche (pulpo and crayfish in a spicy lemongrass sauce), main course: truffle pasta, monkfish on lentils with zucchini strips and monk's beard Dessert: Crème Brûlée, with dinner: Montepulciano and after dinner: Grappa Chardonnay and Grappa Prosecco. Probably one of the best restaurants in Kaiserslautern! In our opinion, everything from the starter to the main course to the dessert was well rounded and harmonious. Prepared and prepared with attention to detail. Salads, char, pork loin, risotto and the dessert variations are well done, prepared to perfection and tasty right down to the last bite. A pleasure! Wine list and other drinks are an enjoyable addition. The four of us were completely impressed and will definitely come back! Absolutely recommended!!

Exceptional dining experience. Very friendly and helpful customer service, intimate atmosphere and most importantly delicious freshly made food. Beautiful presentation and perfectly prepared soups, fish, steak and desert. Highly recommend especially for special occasions.

What an incredible dining experience, nestled in the middle of a wonderful walking mall. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting, and filled with old world charm. The staff is knowledgeable, and attentive, without being tied to a table. They were never overbearing, but our drinks and wine flowed. The seating is limited, but this just adds to the overall ambiance, and experience. The food is next, next level. Head Chef Stefan Sellin creates beautiful works of art that taste as good as they look. Goose, duck, scallops and more melt in your mouth (I am from a coastal fishing town and these were by far the best scallops I have ever eaten). The colors, textures, and flavors of each dish are crafted by a true artisan...you will not be disappointed. And if that weren't enough, vegan and vegetarian options are also expertly prepared as Chef Sellin was also head chef at the vegan restaurant Kopps in Berlin. Ultimately, Restaurant Weinhaus Stepp is a true gem. The food, the atmosphere, the attention to detail, and that fact that it is all of this without being pretentious makes this, in my opinion, the best dining experience in Kaiserslautern. If you have the opportunity to enjoy an evening at Weinhaus Stepp, do not miss it. 11/10

Nice Restaurant and Atmosphere. We had a great family dinner here. Service was ok and could have been better by being more attentive. The food was very tasty and flavorful. Will definitely try this place again.

We went here for dinner for the first time yesterday. The restaurant had been recommended to us several times before. The guest area is spread over two floors and is clear, which is very conducive to the ambience. It seems very cozy and familiar, which is underlined by the staff. You receive a friendly welcome, the staff are attentive and courteous, know the menu and can provide information about the dishes. The menu is kept very small and the selection is lovingly designed, which means that the kitchen has mastered its dishes and every course leaves the kitchen beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. It's also been a while since I last found a medium-rare Rumspeak on my plate in this condition. The quality of the ingredients also seems to be high, and after the greeting from the kitchen at the beginning, there was also a small dessert at the end. The prices are appropriate for the good level, which is why I can only highly recommend the restaurant. We will definitely come here again

Beautiful restaurant tucked away in downtown Kaiserslautern. When the weather is nice they have outdoor seating, but the indoor seating is beautiful, too. The service is amazing and even the chef comes out to check on people. The food is high quality. And, they have an extensive wine menu. You even get a small appetizer on the house before your meal. We will definitely be back. Edit: went back for lunch and it was just as good! The pumpkin soup is the best that I’ve ever had and I have tried many. The scallops with a carrot purée were excellent and the risotto and shrimp were flavorful. The server was prompt.

Update Nov 2023: A few weeks ago, went to the same restaurant again and had the same experience as reviewed above. Also, want to add the chef changes the courses on the menu which enhances the dining experience.The music is really good to compliment the atmosphere of the restaurant. Definitely the best restaurant in Kasierslautern!!! One of the best restaurants in Kaiserslautern. I highly recommended trying the course menu because it is well priced for the quality of food served. The food is definitely a notch or two higher than other restaurants. The staff service is really good and friendly. The head chef is extremely nice and likes to talk to customers.

Das Weinhaus Stepp ist in jeder Hinsicht einen Stopp wert. Die raffinierte Küche und ein zuvorkommender Service bereiteten uns einen schönen Aufenthalt, den wir so schnell nicht vergessen werden. Wir kommen wieder!

Super lecker und definitiv weiterzuempfehlen! Das Menü ist für Kaiserslautern schon hochpreisig aber ganz klar seinen Preis Wert. Personal und Chef sind alle sehr sympathisch! Unter meinen Top 3 Restaurants in Kaiserslautern.

Wie schön, dass es in Kaiserslautern ein so hervorragendes Restaurant gibt! Der Chef und all seine Mitarbeiter sind ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Essen qualitativ sehr hochwertig und sehr lecker. Sämtliche Gänge (sowohl à la carte als auch das vegetarische Menü) waren auf den Punkt und geschmacklich sehr hochwertig. Die kleine Karte spricht für die ausgelesenen Speisen und ist äusserst ansprechend. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top! Ich war heute zum ersten Mal Gast und werde wiederkommen! Uneingeschränkte Weiterempfehlung!

Essen sowie Service sehr gut. Teil bissel flach gewürzt aber das ist absolute Geschmackssache. Handwerklich einwandfrei gekocht. Service locker aber sehr aufmerksam. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Abend. Danke

An und für sich hervorragendes Essen, jedoch hält die à la carte Speisekarte so gut wie keine vegetarischen Gerichte zur Auswahl bereit, noch weniger vegane Gerichte. Allerdings kann man mittags lediglich von der à la carte Speisekarte bestellen: Salat und 1 Hauptgericht, zu unserer Zeit ein Zitronen Risotto mit Zucchini - Also nichts sonderlich ausgefallenes und auch nicht unbedingt meine Favoriten. Man kann sich jedoch mit den Beilagen zu den Fleisch-/Fischgerichten behelfen. Desserts sind ebenfalls nur bedingt möglich, da einige mit Gelatine zubereitet werden. Hervorzuheben und zu loben ist jedoch das gebotene vegetarische 4-Gang-Menü am Abend. Die Speisen sind appetitlich angerichtet und die Gänge schmeckten hervorragend. Individuelle kleinere Anpassungen wurden übrigens problemlos entgegengenommen und umgesetzt. Für mich persönlich waren die Portionsgrößen jedoch etwas zu klein oder aber der Preis zu hoch. Die à la carte Gerichte meiner Begleitung waren größer und sättigender aus, was womöglich einfach auch logisch ist, da bei mehrgängigen Menüs klassischerweise die Portionsgrößen angepasst werden. Trotzdem war es für mich zu wenig und ich war stets schneller/als Erste mit meinem Gericht fertig. Nicht alkoholische Getränkeauswahl etwas langweilig. Servicekraft war sehr freundlich. Ambiente ist auch angenehm, wenn auch ich keine hellen, weißen, sterile Räume/Wände mag, aber das ist vollkommen subjektiv (wie alles andere auch im Grunde). Die Stühle sind sehr bequem, allerdings die Tische viel zu klein. Mehre Gerichte zum Teilen unterzubringen ist nicht möglich. Qualität der Produkte und Handwerk sind hervorragend. Aber wegen der spärlichen Auswahl an vegetarischen Speisen (finde ich nicht zeitgemäß) und den Portionsgrößen im Allgemeinen bzw. den hohen Preisen, ziehe ich 1 Stern ab. Alles im allem empfehlenswert.

Zu wenig/fast keine vegetarische und vegane Gericht auf der à la carte Speisekarte mittags, die als solches auch nicht ausgewiesen sind. Dafür abends vegetarisches 4-Gangmenü. Dieses hat mich jedoch nicht angesprochen, daher fragte ich bevorzugt die Beilagen an von den Fleisch-/Fischgerichten. Geschmacklich absolut nichts auszusetzen, betrifft auch die Speisepräsentation. Tische leider sehr klein und beengend.

The food is delicious. Enjoyed the 4 course menu with wine pairing. The only suggestion is to reduce portion sizes. We left feeling overfull instead of comfortably full. Could have reduced portions by almost half.

Die kulinarische Superlative in K‘lautern schlechthin. Absoluter Wohlfühlfaktor, exzellente und perfekt angerichtete Speisen, ein mega sympathischer und kompetenter Chef. Selbst nach einem harten Arbeitstag nimmt er sich für jeden Gast Zeit und spendiert gerne mal ein Schnäpschen zur Verdauung. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Köstliches und sehr schön angerichtetes Essen, sehr schönes Ambiente und herzliche Restaurantleiterin und -leiter :) Es wurde auf Wunsch sogar glutenfreies Brot zur Verfügung gestellt -Toll! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

So Stelle ich mir Gastronomie vor: Vom Gruß aus der Küche bis zum abschließenden Espresso, war alles rundum perfekt. Die Karte ist sehr übersichtlich, was ich persönlich jedoch sehr gut finde, zumal es zusätzlich eine aktuelle Tageskarte gibt. Der Service war gut, das Essen hervorragend. Es gibt nur sehr wenige Restaurants in Kaiserslautern, die hier mithalten können. Die Preise sind gehoben, aber durchaus angemessen.

Kleines gemütliches Restaurant. Schmackvolle Speisen. Gute Getränkeauswahl. Vernünftiges Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Service sehr freundlich und kompetent. Ein Lokal das sich von vielen anderen abhebt und in Kaiserslautern mit zu den besten seiner Kategorie gehört. Für mich und meine Frau immer wieder einen Besuch Wert.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Weinhaus Stepp essen. Das Essen war mal wieder eine Geschmacks Explosion pur , angefangen über den Gruß aus der Küche , die Vorspeise, das Hauptgericht und die Nachspeise. In diesem Restaurant passt einfach alles ,das freundliche Service Team , das Essen sowie das Ambiente.

Simply perfect! The staff went above and beyond to make our large group feel comfortable and welcomed. We shut the place down but not before eating a delicious dinner, paired with the best wines, and the dessert…chef’s kiss. It felt like a family dinner in the most beautiful place, tucked away, intimate, and the best place for a date night or girls’ night out.

Ein ausgesprochen gastfreundlicher Chef, gutes Personal. Service wie man Ihn sich wünscht aber selten findet. Und nicht zuletzt ist das Essen spitze. Wir hatten ein 4-Gang Menü mit Weinbegleitung, toll abgestimmt und sehr lecker. Kein schnell schnell sondern gute Gastronomie.
