I ate the most delicious pizza of my life here!!!!

It was very loud there. I didn't think the food was that great, but the service was nice.

Went there for the first time last Saturday and I have to honestly say the food was ok, but I definitely have to give the service 5 stars. The reception immediately made a very good impression. You could tell that the guy at reception really wanted his job. You don't see something like that everywhere. And even though it was very crowded that evening, they still struggled to find a place for us. Many thanks to the nice waitress named Rabella. The bartender (I think his name was Jan) also created a good atmosphere. It was definitely a nice evening🫶🏻

Well-known restaurant chain with mega pizzas. The pizza is just right, cross on the edge and soft and juicy in the middle. The size is the flagship. The location is excellent, right at the Holstentor and plenty of space to sit outside. The service was good and friendly, but seemed stressed as it was busy due to the good weather. The ambience is very plain and simple, functional. Unfortunately the toilets are a minus point. They are treated a bit neglectfully, especially when there is a lot going on, and unfortunately you can see that.

The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. But that the wine is served together with the aperitif?? I've actually never experienced that before. Maybe I'm a bit old-fashioned, but in my opinion it's separated: first the aperitif (that's why it's called that) and the wine later with the meal. Otherwise very good!

Unfortunately we had a table where the toilets go down and were bothered by the smell. The waiter was super friendly but unfortunately very slow. At first we waited for three quarters of an hour and then again to pay. The food was good, the price was okay... On the menu, the dishes are only vaguely spelled out as “vegetarian”, for example. The tea came without sugar/honey.

We were there the evening before an event. It was very loud. I booked the reservation online and it worked great. We were able to place the order quickly. But the food wasn't brought until three quarters of an hour later, after we asked again. Forgetting can happen. It tasted great. As an apology we were offered dessert on the house. Due to lack of time, we couldn't enjoy it anymore! It would certainly be delicious! We'll be back!

Disappointing service despite good food Unfortunately, our visit to L’Osteria Lübeck on March 2, 2025 around 4:30 p.m. was significantly marred by the unfriendly service of a certain waiter. He was extremely impatient when he placed the order. When we asked about the types of lemonade available, since they weren't on the menu, he responded bluntly and barely gave us time to think about it. Finally, annoyed, he asked, “So we have it now?” Later we politely asked to light the candles at the table. His very snarky answer: “A colleague is coming and is going to turn everyone on anyway.” Not an ounce of kindness or effort. When the food came, the main course was served first, but the bruschetta starter was missing. The bruschetta only followed later. Since this was done without a word and he had already appeared unfriendly, we asked if the starter doesn't normally come before the main course. His snarky reaction: “Did you order it in advance?” When we then commented that a friendlier approach to guests would be desirable, he reacted arrogantly: “What am I like?” and greeted us with a snide smile. He responded to our explanation that his manner towards us was condescending and rude with “I can only say that back.” The whole thing reached its climax when we asked for the bill. He brought it to us - but he had deliberately obscured the receipt number, his name and the table number with a black marker (see picture). Apparently he wanted to prevent us from complaining about him. The name may have been Mark and the table number was probably 14. It's a shame, because the food was really excellent and all the other service staff were extremely friendly. But unfortunately this one waiter spoiled the entire mood for us.

I often go to L'Osteria in Hamburg. Here in Lübeck for the first time. We also reserved in advance on a Sunday. Unfortunately I have to say that we spent 30 minutes. waited until the drinks were taken. The pizza arrived 15 minutes late after the other main courses and it only came as half a pizza because the other half was wrong. Zoodle's dish was soaked in broth, reminiscent of a noodle soup. Definitely understaffed and lack of experience. I would like the management to at least adhere to a certain basic restaurant standard when it comes to clearing away. Because what's not possible is that you can't stack the plates on top of each other on the table in front of the guests when clearing away! Unfortunately, I saw that at some tables, which of course devalues ​​the whole thing. Too bad.

On a Saturday we had eight people at the large table right in front of the kitchen. It was just very loud and you couldn't really have a conversation. But the food was tip top and the service was super nice!

Today I tried the Lübeck restaurant, a chain I know. Unfortunately the food today was mediocre. The service, ambience and value for money were quite good.

Store was full, ok Waited at the bar for a table for almost half an hour, ok too When, after being spoken to several times, the waitress at least came to take the order for the first drink and told us that we had been waiting for this moment for 45 minutes: "Well, better late than never, right?" Everyone can now think of their own thing. In any case, after a short discussion, 3-4 people asked us to leave the establishment. (we wanted 3 anyway) The pizzaria "Diavolo" around the corner was the better alternative with very good service and good food.

No recommendation The place was completely full and we were taken to the bar in a group of three to wait. No problem at first. After 20 minutes our group wasn't even offered a drink. Even when we asked politely at the bar, no drink orders were taken. After about 45 minutes, still no order was taken. When you asked, you were told “immediately”. After 55 minutes a waiter finally came. Our group pointed out the long waiting time. This was dismissed with a simple “well, it’s better than getting nothing.” So we decided to go. Never again. Bad and overwhelmed service.

Nice restaurant. Quality and standards as you would expect from this chain. The pizzas were again large and tasty. Always worth a visit every now and then. The staff was very nice.

Food is quite good Unfortunately we were kicked out halfway through. We were only there for 45 minutes (including ordering and waiting time) and had just had the last bite of pizza in our mouths when our table was already cleared and wiped down. The reason was that a reservation for a large group was missed...unfortunately at our expense. The large group was already standing around us as we took our last bites < super uncomfortable When we made our reservation we specified a high chair, unfortunately all were taken. We won't come again

The service was so-so. Waited outside, then stood at the entrance until we finally went to the reserved table. Unfortunately, it wasn't particularly special either. The pizzas were limp and the calzones were tasteless. Cutlery was in short supply. There was neither sugar nor biscuits with the espresso. All in all one of the worse pizza experiences. Then prefer delivery service.

The food is absolutely delicious 😋 The staff is very friendly and attentive. When it comes to the ambience, I didn't find the high volume quite as pleasant. But on the one hand that is my personal opinion and on the other hand it is an Osteria. Definitely again and again.

Wir hatten einen netten Abend mit absolut solidem Essen - das Einzige, was den Abend perfekt gemacht hätte, wären Chicken Nuggets mit Ketchup und Pommes gewesen. So musste der Gruppenälteste sich mit einer Pizza zufrieden geben, welche jedoch so rasch kam, dass wir einem Tobsuchtsanfall gerade noch aus dem Weg gehen konnten. Vielen Dank und ein vierfaches Hurra an dieser Stelle an Luigi, der die Stimmung am Tisch immer dann aufheizen konnte, wenn wir drohten, in andauerndes Schwiegen zu verfallen. Normalerweise sind wir etwas lebhafter… Die Salate würde ich safe jederzeit wieder so bestellen.

Arrived less than an hour before closing time, received a very friendly welcome and had a good meal. Food like in every restaurant in the chain, the staff particularly stand out.

We reserved the table for two people online - there was an immediate automated reply email confirming the reservation. We then arrived at the restaurant to make a reservation and were immediately seated at a table. The service was extremely friendly. As always, the food was very tasty and delicious. All in all: that's what a good evening in the restaurant should be like - we'll definitely be back. :-)

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes until the restaurant manager was comfortable serving the line of people (all with reservations). There was no obvious reason why we had to wait either - there were still free tables. When it was our turn, the extremely unfriendly restaurant manager showed us a table that was much too small. When we told him that we had reserved a table for four, he replied that he could fit five pizzas at that table (he later had difficulty fitting the salad among the four huge pizzas). But he said that if the table was too small for us, we could leave. We were close too, but the hunger was stronger. Luckily, we were served at ours by a very friendly waitress (Rabella) who was extremely reliable and accommodating. The food was good value for money and the ambience was okay - a bit too loud for my taste. If this had been an unfriendly restaurant manager there would certainly be a 5 star review, but this behavior towards guests is unacceptable. A service worker in a managerial position must be a positive role model and not a deterrent example. That's why there is only one star.

Highly recommended. Oversized pizzas that are very tasty. However, it would be nice if the pizzas were already cut or if you got pizza scissors instead of a blunt knife. Ambiance is nice but a bit noisy.

Not sure where the restaurant got their new manager from but he should definitely not work in the service industry. He’s probably one of the rudest restaurant managers I have ever come across. Arrogant, rude, no customer service or relationship management skills, he speaks with a “delegating and telling” voice to clients, shows zero empathy, doesn’t try to fulfil special food requests, doesn’t listen and on top of that he’s super slow and inefficient. If I wouldn’t have had a table reservation with my friends, I would have walked out straight away. Luckily, our waitress Rabella saved the night. She was super nice and accommodated all of our requests. Thank you for looking after us. We feel sorry for the staff who have to work for such a manager. Only one star because of the behaviour and attitude of the manager. Your restaurant would be better off without him. Good luck! 🤞🏻

Typical L'Osteria. Great staff, delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. Even received a birthday serenade and tasty treats.

The food doesn't taste good, the pizzas are as thin as paper and in the end you get ripped off. If you want to pay in cash, you won't get any money back because they say they don't have change. So either pay with a card or give an involuntary tip!

The three of us had dinner there today on Saturday at 6 p.m. Unfortunately, we can't understand all the 5 star reviews. We were squeezed onto a small table that barely fit our pizzas. The service was good and tried to cope with the rush of orders, because unfortunately it's all about throughput. It was very loud and quite cold. Every little corner is filled with a table, which of course makes it very tight and you get bumped into quite often. The pizzas were OK, but nothing more. There is still a lot of room for improvement. In the case of the Hawaiian, the pineapple was woody and the vegetarian one was quite mushy from the ungrilled vegetables. Not to mention the absolutely uncomfortable chairs where you're happy when you can stand up. The very loud Brazilian carnival music was also quite inappropriate for an Italian. You couldn't call it a cozy evening. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant.

I usually know L'Osteria differently, but this visit was disappointing. The place looked old and unkempt, the armchairs were dirty and the tables were sticky. We ordered a capriccio and two pizzas. The capriccio was served with a quartered mini tomato, some tasteless olive oil and dry rocket - overall very bland. The pizzas were extremely salty. When we complained to service and returned the pizzas, we were simply told that it was a “matter of taste”. The plates were cleared without comment and that was that. We paid 50 euros for this experience - without any accommodation from the staff. I definitely cannot recommend this location.

I love L'Osteria in Lübeck! We were there today with 7 people for a company party and both the service was good and the food was again very tasty 😋 The salads are always fresh, the pizza is great and various pasta dishes that I have already tried are always fantastic. You're also putting a lot of effort into the drinks... Limoncello Spritz is my absolute favorite 🍹 Mega and a clear recommendation from me.

Busy and cosy place. Nice menu and friendly staff. We had a slightly confusing seating procedure as the restaurant was full and we were told to wait in the bar. Not sure people were seated in the right order but eventually we got a good table and great service+food
