Very friendly staff. Food sufficient and tasty. Restaurant is located directly on the Trave. A visit is recommended.

Unfriendly service, small portion, nice view of the water, no repeat request

Almost completely without reception, the waiters ignore you. Tables outside are not served at 5 p.m., after 15 minutes of absolutely no attention, even though a waitress looked at us several times, we left. Impossible!

Don't let this store give you vouchers. They will no longer be accepted because they are supposedly unreadable. If you write to customer service you won't get an answer. Very unfortunate. Never again!

Food was so-so by L’Osteria standards. The bolognese in the lasagne was very watery. The pizza is a classic Losteria pizza. Nothing special except the size. Waiting times were slightly late but still within tolerable limits. But service all around was very nice.

Food was good, nothing to complain about. However, the service was very unfriendly and without formal politeness such as thank you, you're welcome. When it came to paying and no tip was given because the service was annoyed and unfriendly, the card machine was packed up as quickly as possible and she left without wishing her a nice evening or anything else. Definitely leaves something to be desired

...Today we made "the second attempt" at L'Osteria, which you always like to write about in your responses to recessions. Unfortunately just as disappointing as the first time...

Very long waiting time when ordering. The waitress (always changing) gives the impression that she is unwilling to work; it is only after several attempts to signal the waitress that she wants to order that she comes to the table “annoyed”. Same thing on the second visit, only after 20 minutes of waiting, the ordering process didn't even take place. Despite few guests and many service employees, nobody seemed to feel responsible, so we then went to another restaurant, where fortunately everything went smoothly.

Very nice there and I even like the crust on the pizza. Service was a bit messy 😉

Food was great!! The service was catastrophic, the waitress (strong and with a tattoo on her left arm) showed no consideration and was very unfriendly. During the meal and after the meal, no one even asked if everything was OK!! After everything she asked us when we got the bill if we wanted to tip 15%??? Never experienced it, not even worth one star for the service, a shame for the store...

I would like to give 0 stars for the reception at L'Osteria in Travemünde. Late yesterday afternoon we wanted to go out to eat inside the restaurant. A waiter served the table there and we waited near the bar to be seated. Unfortunately the waiter ignored us and since there was only one table available, we sat down at that table There were still 2 empty glasses there. After a while he appeared and asked us in a completely unfriendly manner without greeting us why we had already sat down at the table. We then got up and left the restaurant. Apparently there is no need to treat guests kindly, there are enough tourists in Travemünde.

Great team, everyone was really friendly. We really enjoy going there and always feel very comfortable!

Very good service, a very friendly waiter, unfortunately the lasagna that was ordered was burnt, on the other hand the pizza was delicious, I hope they improve with the lasagna.

The fried goat cheese salad was great - including the dressing! The waiter was attentive and very friendly!

It was well attended and we had to wait a bit. No problem. Staff was friendly and the food was very well portioned and tasty. However, I would have liked the staff to have been a little more attentive at times to take further orders or our payment request at the end. I think that even in stressful phases you could take a look at the guest tables more often... But that's complaining on a high level ;-)

After we reserved, we got a great table with a great view. The service was very quick and attentive. The food was known to be good, there was nothing to complain about. We will be back definitely.

We always go to the Losteria in HH, everything is great there. Food, ambience, service is a smooth 1. We always go out there satisfied. But in Travemünde it's terrible, we've been there twice now, we had it again tried. But the pizza tasted watery, then the wrong one came first. It takes an eternity for the service to arrive. They all look so stressed, no smiles, nothing. In Hamburg it's exactly the opposite, the service is always friendly. But in Travemünde they should definitely change something. What I also don't understand is that you can't reserve a table, even though it's online and outside. Despite everything, I wish you a nice day

Absolute impudence!! I've never experienced that you order bruscetta for 4 people (7.95 per person) and get 4 small half slices of bread in a bag with a mini bowl (small dip size) and have to share it... it's a joke and that Salad looks super dreary... I wouldn't recommend the store to anyone...

On July 13th, 2024 we were turned away from the door by a camera at 9 p.m. because the kitchen was supposed to be closed. And if we were to order something, it would only be pizza. Apparently the staff didn't like our 4 children. Super customer oriented, you would definitely want to visit the store again “irony”. Never again

Everything was great. Staff top. We just couldn't finish the fairly large pizzas completely. But the taste is great. Special requests were fulfilled.

Addendum 2024: It is unbelievable that the experience experienced in 2023 can be made even worse. We thought a lot might have happened this year and we would definitely give L’Osteria Travemünde another chance. We placed an order (order number 0266) at 7:16 p.m. for pickup at 8:00 p.m. We received a confirmation via email and Paypal. When we arrived at the store we were told that the order was being processed. After another 10 minutes they asked if the order was the “carbonara” order. This was denied because we ordered another pasta dish and a pizza. After another 5 minutes, another waitress was asked if she had accepted the order. We then said that the order had been placed online. The order was then checked on the PC and we were informed that no order had been received. We were asked (quite rudely) whether we even knew what we had ordered, we were also told that we couldn't actually order online at the moment because this was blocked by the branch and whether we hadn't ordered from the Lübeck branch. After further discussions and waiting times, the order could be taken away after 35-40 minutes. In total, we waited 1 hour 45 minutes from ordering to picking up a pasta and a pizza, including a whole hour in the restaurant. I wish I could have made a positive change in the original recession, but after an experience like that I probably won't have another chance. Unfortunately miles away from the usual Losteria service. Yesterday we wanted to go out for dinner with 4 adults and 3 children. The day before yesterday we had already asked whether we could reserve a table. We were told it wasn't possible to take reservations at the moment, but we'll manage it somehow. Unfortunately, when we stood in front of the location yesterday, we were immediately turned away. You could try again in half an hour, but promise nothing. No offer to block a table, move tables (there were enough free tables for two) or Similar. In addition, a very unfriendly manner so that you immediately noticed that you were not welcome.

There is nothing better, everything is very harmonious

Unfortunately the weakest impression of a L'Osteria so far. If I didn't know it better from other restaurants, I wouldn't come back. Why? Pizza lukewarm (must have been standing), pizza base was missing and service overall too stressed. No bright Büble anymore on offer.

Friendly, nice and fast. If we had known that the pizzas were that big, we would have only ordered one. It was delicious (calzone) and we are still full today. :-) . Price-wise, it's perfectly fine for the size.

We were here on vacation, didn't feel like cooking much, and we also like to eat at the Losteria when we're back home :) This branch is probably only about half the size, but the pizza comes to the table hotter, crispier, faster and now comes the best part, even the cutlery is better :) Beautifully located, directly on the Trave, friendly staff, at the same time on the ball. Quality even above average.

The SIZE alone does NOT make it!

We ate there on June 26, 24 and were 100% satisfied! We ate a 45cm pizza there that you can even share. If you feel like ham and salami you can have half half! The more expensive one will be charged. It really was absolutely delicious! And our waiter, Mr. Senn, was also super friendly and very accommodating. The prices there are also very budget friendly. If we are in Travemünde again we would always go there again.

Unfortunately we didn't eat much with the pasta dish. Otherwise of course a great Losteria with the ambience.

You stand at the "check in" for ages without being told by the staff (with worker...unfortunately it doesn't fit) is perceived. More than half of the tables free, completely empty inside. Waiters stand at the counter and chat. We then went in to ask if we could sit outside. But no., .. there was still a used glass there and there was no time to clear it away. The guests who just walk through and sit down are doing it right. Then you have to be served at some point, and you're sitting with a nice view, so it's not bad to wait.

Perfect location! We were there for weddings and also in the off-season. Sometimes the pizza had to be returned because it wasn't a success, sometimes it was more of a “vegetable casserole” than a calzone. You weren't allowed to sit on the upper floor. Too much work. Drinks were not brought properly. Otherwise the service was very quick and friendly.

My wife was there with our two children, 3 years and an infant. Unfortunately, despite the empty shop, she was not served and when she asked, it was made clear to her rather rudely that she and especially children were not welcome. We have eaten at this chain many times and have never experienced anything like it. I am at a loss for words.

The waiter got our drink order wrong, took our plate while we were still eating and dint check in if we needed dessert and asked for payment.. Bad service, and very average food for a losteria chain!!

The first time we ate there it was very tasty, but you can't eat this huge pizza on your own, but you can also share one. The only thing I didn't like was that this huge pizza didn't fit on the plate. You had to push them over the edge of the plate while cutting them on the table. That's why only 4 stars, otherwise everything was great and the prices were right.

Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the Trave and the large ships that sail past. The pizzas are huge but super tasty. It is also offered to share it between two people. The salad was also fresh and delicious. The bruschetta is really tasty, the bread is nicely toasted, and the dressed tomatoes are delicious. The service was very friendly. We can only recommend it.

Pre-ordered the pizza online for pickup. My little son and I were there a few minutes before the pickup time stated in the email. It said “sorry, it’ll take a few more minutes”. So we stood right next to the bar and watched the kitchen. When the little one started to get restless and the “few minutes” had already turned into 15 minutes, I asked briefly and kindly. Since no pizza was (visibly) packed into a pizza box while waiting, I was more than surprised when my pizzas were suddenly handed over. I received a “sorry for the wait” on the way and was then able to enjoy my ice-cold pizza. The pizza was generally good, but dear L'Osteria, it doesn't work that way. Any run-of-the-mill pizza service can do this better.

Unfriendly and no possibility to reserve a table outside. Very unfortunate. Therefore, I cannot comment on the quality of the food. In other restaurants this isn't a problem.

The best L'Osteria we've been to so far. Such incredibly nice service, even when making the reservation. Great view, we had a beautiful table. Despite 3 dogs, a toddler and a baby, we felt so welcome with 4 families. We will be back!

Super friendly. Not the small, cozy Italian restaurant, but much cheaper. One pizza is enough for 2 adults.

I am deeply disappointed and upset with my last visit. What was once our favorite restaurant has turned into a total disaster. First of all, we were seated quickly, but then completely ignored. After 15 minutes we still had no drinks. Then when I approached a waiter, who later turned out to be our waiter, I asked how long it would take if we ordered a pizza to share as we were very hungry. He told us it would take 10 minutes and took our order. Then after another 25 minutes he came back and told us that the kitchen couldn't fulfill our order and that my wife had to choose something else. No explanation, no apology. My wife was visibly upset, but still found another option. When she asked how long it would take, the waiter simply took the menu from her hand without a word and disappeared. 10 minutes later he brought our pizza and just said "Enjoy your meal". The pizza was nothing special and we felt like it was hastily prepared. My wife was very unhappy and our evening was completely ruined. To make matters worse, the toilets were flooded and littered with dirty towels. The stairs were full of scattered dough and olives, which left an extremely unhygienic impression. Then, as we were about to leave, the waiter said goodbye, and when my wife didn't answer, he repeated his "GOODBYE" with a cocky smile right in her face. We have been loyal customers for years, but this was definitely our last visit to this branch.

The pizzas are very good but very large. Unfortunately, if you want to take your pizza with you, they pack it in a not very tasty way, all the pieces together and folded in half.

It was my first time there, the location is so beautiful on the Trave with a view of the Priwall, the food was great, the service was very good, I was thrilled

The food was, as always, good in a restaurant in the L'Osteria chain, the waiting times were reasonable on a weekend, the staff was friendly, but clearly at the limit. Even with the glasses - emergency. My cocktail for almost €10 came in a soda glass and my husband's wine glass was about to be cleared away after it was almost empty: you don't need that anymore, do you? Anything can happen. But you should think about space planning. Like three or four other tables, our table was on the first floor right next to the parapet. Everything was very tight. If the person behind pushed the chair back, I had to move with them. Right next to the tables was the main course downstairs, so there was a constant stop-and-go of arriving and departing guests, waiters with full and empty plates. Constantly passing these tables for two that were way too small because we were all practically sitting in the aisle. Completely annoying with two pizzas on the much too small table. The location with its great view of the Trave is certainly beautiful, but it's so crowded that you feel like you're at a train station. Maybe take out tables and miss out on some sales, but instead have satisfied guests?

This was our second time there and now our last time. The Italian cuisine is only mediocre to poor, pizza is large in appearance, the toppings are not sufficiently covered and the quality is not good. Cola without carbon dioxide (went back like that), service without structure and the Italian friendliness is missing.

The usual Losteria food. Unfortunately below average service. Hefeweizen not cold, no indication that no artichokes are available for the Capricciosa that day. Finally, despite all the advice from the staff, there was absolutely no apology when paying (espresso would have been enough).

Complete catastrophe! Waited 1.5 hours for the food, 2 pizzas came cold, one meal was completely forgotten. Today's holiday probably came as a surprise to the management; if they had known this, they would have increased the staff or only allowed in as many guests as they could serve. We do NOT recommend this restaurant.

We wanted to end our annual Travemünde vacation in a comfortable way, so we reserved LOsteria, which was still under construction last year. Although we had registered the need for a child's chair, it was not available upon arrival. A neighboring table also turned out to be very unfriendly, as there were two children's chairs there and one wasn't used until we left the restaurant. A little later we received another one. The ambience was initially promising, as we were led upstairs directly to the window with a great view. It quickly became clear that there wasn't much positive left other than the view. With outside temperatures of 16 degrees without sun, the heat was unbearable. It was also so loud that it was impossible to have a conversation. After about 60 minutes (!), when the children were understandably getting restless and numerous neighboring tables that had been occupied after us had already almost finished eating, we also received some food. The service staff was friendly, but seemed hectic, which didn't contribute much to a pleasant evening. Given the obvious workload, it was understandable that he even forgot drinks. The quality of the food was okay, but not particularly outstanding. We didn't have time for dessert anymore. The reservation confirmation expressly stated that you had to leave after two hours. There was no word of apology for the long wait.

We went there twice for pizza. As always, the pizzas are recommended at L'Osteria. We were not satisfied with the service. On the second visit, we and the neighboring table returned to the table after waiting 30 minutes - without being able to place an order. I had the impression that the staff's processes for ordering, delivering food and drinks to the tables, clearing tables, etc. were not running smoothly.

We spontaneously decided to take the ferry from Priwall and enjoy a pizza at L'Osteria. When we went in we saw that there was still a free table by the window on the first floor and we were looking forward to a meal with a wonderful view of the water. However, the waitress told us that upstairs was still closed. So we got a table on the ground floor overlooking a weed-strewn backyard. While waiting for our order, we found out that the people sitting upstairs were only the employees! It's a shame that the beautiful view of the water is not offered to the guests, but only to the staff. You should also reconsider what and how the staff talk to each other - the tone and topic were sometimes inappropriate if guests could overhear. The pizza was ok, but our mood was dampened...we then enjoyed a delicious coffee with a beautiful view of the water at Ahoi.

Nice and bright, nice staff, good service

We spontaneously went to L'Osteria for the first time. There was a table available for two people even without a reservation. I expected a typical franchise restaurant and was surprised by the open kitchen, the good atmosphere in the team and the delicious food. The pizzas are huge. I also had spaghetti aglio e olio with shrimp and the cappuccino afterwards also tasted very tasty.

The drinks and food came to the table quite quickly. Unfortunately, after serving, no one asked again whether everything was OK. We also had to point out to the waiter that we would like dessert. However, I cannot recommend the mascarpone cream!!! The alleged cream was as liquid as a milkshake and tasted like DR. OETTKER paradise cream vanilla 😅 Maybe we just had a bad day. We really liked the view, the ambience and the pizzas! A thumbs 👍 up for that

We had one of those 45cm pizzas. For two! This was good too. However, we were able to observe how many people fail with such a huge thing. A questionable concept of preparing food and then sometimes just throwing it away!

As regular guests at L'Osteria in Travemünde, we generally appreciated the service and always enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, our last visit, on Friday 12 April 2024 at 8:00 p.m., was a disappointment. Despite numerous free tables, it was said that all of them had already been reserved. So we took a seat at the counter, where we didn't feel welcome. The waitress at the counter offered us a change to another table, but we declined because we felt comfortable at the counter. After placing our drinks order we were met with a lack of attention. Our questions about food seemed to be met with reluctance, and the question “So would you like to eat something?” was particularly disappointing. Additionally, we saw a newly arriving group of four receive immediate preferential treatment, including placing a take-out order right next to us. This added to the feeling of not being welcome at the counter. Disappointed, we finally decided to pay after our drinks and leave the place. It's a real shame that an otherwise enjoyable experience was marred by poor service. We hope that this was just a one-off event and that future visits will be up to the standard we are used to.

Food is usually served, but tipping is not mandatory in Germany and can be added voluntarily. We are generous customers who love to tip, but such fraudulent demands feel really unpleasant. I recommend that others check whether they are a victim of tip fraud before paying. It's not worth feeling bad all day about a few euros.

Food was of the usual L'Osteria quality - so good. The staff was also very friendly but still gets negative points here... We wanted to order a dessert at 8:47 p.m. We were denied this because the kitchen closed at 9 p.m. No customer oriented service. Spoiled the end of the evening a bit...

... that was nice - but not really worth mentioning. Aromaless tomatoes... waited forever for the order to be taken.... We found an alternative...
