L'Osteria in Lübeck

The food was okay, a very large pizza but with extremely few toppings (I ordered chicken breast for €3 and got 4-5 small strips). Unfortunately, the owner decided to cram as many guests as possible into the small building. Larger groups in particular were sometimes seated at tables that were far too small, barely able to fit the food. Due to the significantly overcrowded restaurant, we waited over an hour for our food, and the staff also seemed very busy. The service was still very friendly. The seating area upstairs does have a very nice view, but the air is still up there; it was extremely warm and there was hardly any fresh air. Perhaps it would be advisable to install a fan or something similar. Overall, we unfortunately cannot recommend it; there are much nicer alternatives in the area.

The food was good, as you'd expect from LOsteria. The wait, however, was unbearable. We waited forever for the drinks, which eventually arrived with the food. We also had to wait a really long time for the bill; I've never had to pay that long before...

We spontaneously ordered 16 takeaway pizzas for a school class an hour before opening. Not only were the pizzas ready and packaged on time when we arrived, they were also all sliced ​​and labeled, so everyone knew which pizza they were getting. Great service, and one I don't take for granted. Definitely recommend for takeaway!

Absolutely not recommended. The waitress probably had a major problem. After placing our order and waiting for about 30 minutes with our child, the waitress informed us that the tomato sauce was all gone. Bruschetta wasn't available either...and this was an Italian restaurant.

Five of us visited L'Osteria in Travemünde today. First, you get a table, wait and wait to place your order... While we were waiting, new guests were already being served. Very interesting approach ;) Then it was time to place your order. After about 25 minutes, I was told they didn't have any tomato sauce to make pasta pomodoro. Imagine, an Italian restaurant doesn't have tomato sauce 🤣 But hey, I should choose something else from the menu. No sooner said than done... My choice was bruschetta, the simplest thing ever. You can't imagine, our lovely waitress said: "Unfortunately, it's out of..." What? There are no tomatoes/onions, etc.? You should really think about whether you chose the right job. This is a very embarrassing situation for you.

We had a wonderful time there. The food was wonderfully delicious. I would love to come back, alone or with a friend.

Nice quiet place with a great view

There's a sign at the front telling us to wait for our seat. But we weren't seated. The lady stood with her back to us the whole time, sorting cutlery and playing on her phone. The restaurant had plenty of empty seats, but no one was there to assign them.

Everything was very nice, except for the drinks, but the service was extremely courteous. We'd be happy to go back!

We've been there several times and always had to wait unnecessarily. Today, June 15th, we stood at the "please wait" sign as usual and were ignored by the waiters, even though there wasn't much going on outside. After the lady was apparently on her private cell phone for about 5 minutes and didn't pay any attention to us, we left and are now going to eat somewhere else...

Hi, the food was consistently delicious, but we also had to wait a while for it. I had reserved a table several weeks in advance, and they requested a table with a good view, but unfortunately, they didn't take into account the fact that we were celebrating a milestone birthday. We were given a time slot for the table between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and the food arrived around 7:45 p.m.

Pizza completely burnt black and came with nothing

It's always a treat to stop by L Osteria when we're in Travemünde! Sitting upstairs, you have a direct view of the Passat, a magnificent view. The food is always delicious, and the staff is consistently friendly and quick. The prices are reasonable, and all in all, it's always worth a visit. We highly recommend it!

If you want a good, affordable pizza here in Travemünde, L' Osteria is the place to go. The pizza is delicious and incredibly large, measuring about 45 cm. We were lucky enough to get a table, but I recommend making a reservation. The restaurant is very busy. The service is friendly and helpful. It's especially suitable for wheelchair users, as there's an elevator on site that makes it easy to reach the first floor.

Unfortunately, we were immediately greeted with an unfriendly welcome and treated with embarrassment for arriving without a reservation. They didn't even allow us to wait or see if there was a solution. Yes, it can be busy, but such a dismissive and unfriendly attitude is simply unacceptable.

Pizza, as always, was top-notch, generously topped and a good size. I ordered the Pizza Bó without mushrooms, it came with mushrooms, and it was taken back as a matter of course. Within five minutes, the fresh calzone without mushrooms was back on the table. That's service! :)

Absolutely terrible! The food was cold, the pizza had barely made it out of the oven and was completely pale. From our seat, we had a clear view into the kitchen. It was total chaos. Far too many people in the kitchen, and pizzas that came out of the oven sometimes sat for 10 minutes before being "processed" again. The staff regularly reached their limits and were clearly overwhelmed by the influx of customers. You just want to apologize for coming to eat!

A very cozy restaurant with a view of the harbor. The service was excellent, and both drinks and food were delivered quickly. The portions were more than ample and delicious. The quality you'd expect from L'Osteria.

The most beautiful restaurant in the L'Osteria chain that I know. Reservations are highly recommended! Especially if you want a front-row seat on the upper floor with a view of the water. Unusually, the atmosphere (and noise level) isn't very pleasant for an L'Osteria. They're usually crowded and so loud that you have to shout at each other. Not here. The food and drinks are of the usual quality. Children are welcome. You can reach the upper floor with a wheelchair or stroller via the elevator. Parking is (usually) paid but not a problem nearby.

Very good value for money, excellent dinner, great service, and very attentive. We'll be back!

Unfortunately, the quality has declined considerably. The pizzas used to be better. It took a relatively long time, even though the restaurant wasn't at full capacity. The cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired. The tables are no longer cleaned after each guest, and the entire restaurant was covered in traces of the day's work. They're probably cutting back on staff, so the regulars are completely overwhelmed. What a shame...

Unfortunately, we couldn't pre-order by phone, so we went straight away. Then, when we got there, it was complete chaos. Placing the order took a long time, and then the product was sold out. He had entered it twice and told me to pay later. Of course, I didn't want to do that because it would have taken twice as long 🦧 Well, it took another 30 months for the pizza to be ready. Back at the vacation apartment, we discovered that the pizza wasn't quite cooked. All in all, a much too crowded pizzeria with far too few staff. There are simply too many other good restaurants around here. We won't be eating here again.

We can't recommend it! We reserved a table three weeks in advance. When we got there, we had to wait almost 30 minutes before anyone even came to serve us. The lady came over and immediately said, "I can tell you, if you order pizza, it will take at least an hour." Absolutely unacceptable! At the same time, many people are carrying their takeout orders outside. Then you should stop serving takeout if you can't serve your customers inside.

L'Osteria wants to be something special, but unfortunately, it isn't. It's simply a fast-food restaurant where guests are served quickly and impersonally. The staff was completely overwhelmed that evening, and it took forever to order. The pizza was tasty, but we couldn't really enjoy the evening. The atmosphere was more like a cafeteria, far too crowded and too loud. L'Osteria is definitely not suitable for a cozy evening for two or with the family.

This was our first time at L'Osteria in Travemünde and we were already familiar with other branches. This branch is located in a detached building right in the harbor of Travemünde. There is a small outdoor terrace with direct views of the water and the promenade. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good. The option to share a large pizza, as the pizzas are truly oversized, and having the option to choose two different toppings per half is ideal. The antipasti platter was well-filled and went perfectly with the pizza. We really liked this branch and will be back. There is a large, paid parking lot nearby.

We went there for a family meal on Saturday because you have a beautiful view of the many large and small ships while you eat, which grandpa really enjoyed because he's an old dockworker. Unfortunately, I've also read a lot of negative reviews, and I can't agree with them at all. We had a great experience there. The service was very attentive. We reserved a table well in advance, and we got it. Nice and friendly atmosphere, everything was clean. The food came quickly and it was good. The pizza was huge. All in all, we had a great time at the restaurant. From my personal perspective, I can definitely recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely unacceptable. The online order took ages to go through. No one was available by phone. Finally, I paid via PayPal, but when I went to pick it up, the order didn't arrive. After a lot of back and forth, the order was placed on the spot. And yet another pizza was forgotten. Extremely poor service, both technically and on the spot. If we hadn't already paid, we would have left. Extremely annoying!

The pizzas are huge and super delicious... We had salad with it... It's best to always order dressing with it... It was a bit small for the large salad bowl ☺️

The food is, as in every L'Osteria, fantastic. It also tastes great in Trave. The location is very nice - and often very crowded. The problem is less the number of guests, but rather their behavior. Instead of waiting at the entrance, people run through with their bags and luggage, only to be "caught" and assigned the right place. That makes it a bit uneasy, but L'Osteria can't help it. The staff is really great! Even though the hut is on fire, they are always very friendly and up for fun. Observing the chemistry within the team is also really fun. Keep it up!

We were there at lunchtime, right after the daily opening. There wasn't much going on at the time, which was of course an advantage. Had a good spot with a view of the water. The pizza came quickly after ordering and was really tasty.

We made a reservation on a public holiday. The queue without a reservation was endless. After we asked to get the people with reservations out of the long queue, this happened after 19 minutes. The background noise is enormous when it's full. But the service is unbeatable. Although in my opinion there were far too few staff for all the people, we were served promptly. And despite the stress, there was still a smile. The main thing, the food... unbeatably delicious as always. Any time.

The pizza at L'Osteria is generally good. Unfortunately, the concept in Travemünde is unacceptable. The area is completely overcrowded with tables and the service is extremely poor. We waited inside for almost 20 minutes without being able to place an order. Then we sat outside because it was completely crowded, stuffy and extremely loud inside. Outside we addressed the conditions directly and pointed out that due to the situation inside we would now like to sit outside. She replied in a bad mood, “You can do it.” However, she didn't serve us. The guests at the next table confirmed our experience. After another 10 minutes of waiting, we finally left. We won't see this branch again as guests.

The ambience and the food were worth 5 stars, but the service was a disaster this time. We always enjoy going to L'Osteria Travemünde, but this time it was the last time. We were 4 people and asked if we could sit upstairs. This was denied because the top is closed, which is not a problem. 5 minutes later a group of 4 came and was allowed to sit upstairs even though there was still space downstairs. That was the first slap in the face. We wanted to have appetizers (bruschetta and pizza bread) but somehow we were told that the tomatoes and bread were no longer there, which we also accepted could happen. But 20 minutes later, when we were eating, tons of bruschetta were served to other tables. 2. Punch in the face. Nobody really felt responsible. Every time you felt like you were running after the waiters and begging to order something. The team was a disaster. We were more chatting than working, which also made the pizza baker upset and there was a discussion between the kitchen and the service. I always enjoyed being there, but after the experience I wasn't there anymore, which was a shame. Because of the poor service, I only tipped €3 and the waiter didn't even say thank you. I find it absurd.

Four of us had dinner at L'Osteria Travemünde on April 22nd. The location of the restaurant has to be highlighted positively - through the glass facade you have a great view of the Trave and the ferries passing by, but in the other direction also of the surrounding historical buildings, such as the old lighthouse. The toilets were also well cleaned and the staff was very friendly. It was also positive that the drinks were brought quickly, as was my starter, bruschetta. The portions were a reasonable size and tasted okay, but not necessarily more. Unfortunately, something seemed to be going wrong in the pizza bakery, we had to wait > 90 minutes for our pizzas - this was also the case for all the surrounding tables - and the appetizer salads we ordered were also severely delayed and would only have arrived when we asked for the pizzas, whereupon we canceled them. When billing at the end, we were not charged for the drinks due to the inconvenience caused - very accommodating! Nevertheless, we paid over €65 for a portion of bruschetta, three pizzas, a small starter salad and a portion of pasta, which was quite high considering the quality of the food. The restaurant was otherwise very busy, so a reservation is definitely recommended!

There were problems when we made the reservation: Despite a confirmation email, our reservation was messed up and we were only given a small, uncomfortable table right in the entrance area - even though we had reserved weeks in advance. The restaurant appears completely disorganized and gives the impression that holidaymakers are just being processed quickly. There were also big variations in the food: the pizza was soggy in the middle and not properly baked, probably because frozen ingredients were used. My companion even had stomach problems after eating. The pasta was anything but authentically Italian – thick cream sauce and diced bacon have nothing to do with real carbonara. Apart from the fact that you never serve a spoon with a meal. The service also left a lot to be desired: we were given the menu and then ignored for what felt like 30 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn't full. The staff seemed bored and were more busy with their cell phones than with the guests. We were also surprised that apparently only two service employees can take and collect orders, while all other employees can only seem to bring food and drinks or clean the table. If there are problems like sandy salad or missing ingredients, you will only be fobbed off with excuses and a discount or a small apology is not an option. Waiting times are often very long, up to 45 minutes for food and up to 20 minutes for drinks, which is unacceptable for a restaurant chain of this type. Drinks are also overpriced and the overall price-performance ratio is not right. The toilets seemed anything but clean, it is obvious that there is no cleaning plan here. No paper towels, overfilled trash can, etc. Conclusion: Disorganized, overpriced, careless treatment of guests and disappointing quality - there are definitely better alternatives in Travemünde. We won't be coming back.

Classic L'Osteria store in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, too many guests for too few staff. The waiters were often away somewhere else in the store for minutes. Long waiting times to order, long waiting times for the food to arrive and long waiting times for the payment to be made. Some guests left in the meantime because no one had taken their order. The food itself is of the usual L'Osteria quality. Despite the obvious stress, the staff were friendly and helpful.

On a rainy holiday day we spontaneously got a table - without a reservation! We were immediately pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome and attentive service, which is by no means a given and is therefore particularly noteworthy. The evening began with a Coke Zero and an Aperol Spritz - the latter was exceptionally served in a long drink glass as typical glasses were no longer available. A charming anecdote and actually a highlight, because the Aperol tasted excellent. The starters – the Vitello Tonnato and the small side salad – were also very successful. The dressing could have been a little milder for my taste, but that can be easily overlooked. As usual, the pizza with ham and mushrooms was huge, filling and tasted absolutely fine. I have already been a guest in other restaurants in this chain and I was not disappointed here in Travemünde either - on the contrary: the visit was thoroughly pleasant. We would be happy to come back if we travel to Travemünde again.

The food here is otherwise really excellent, which is why we made a reservation for my birthday. Another person spontaneously joined us - which is not a problem in many restaurants, especially since the place was almost empty. But it was absolutely not possible to accommodate this one person here. This was by no means due to the friendly service staff, but rather to the rigid and inflexible attitude of the gentleman who arranged the tables. A simple solution – pushing three tables together with another – was categorically rejected with the comment that this was “not allowed”. In the end we called the Italian restaurant in Kücknitz, who, despite the house being full, said: “We can do it.” And that's how it was. It's a shame - unfortunately I can't recommend this restaurant if you want to come with more than two people. By the way, it wasn't the first time that we had similar difficulties here.

The place is quite loud, extremely narrow and not exactly well maintained. The food was delicious, but unfortunately the service was often uncoordinated (starter comes with the main course) and sometimes very unfriendly. More appearance than reality.

My visit to Lostaria was a complete disappointment. Our waiter said it was his first day - that can happen, but a certain standard should still be maintained. First he made us wait for a long time, then he brought us the wrong food twice, and between these mistakes we had to wait almost an hour! When we finally went to pay, I discovered that he had included all the incorrect orders on the bill - and there was no way to reverse that. I have rarely experienced such a chaotic and frustrating experience. Once and never again!
