For burritos in Hannover this place is a 5. Went here twice while in Hanover. As an American from Texas this place is great, but don’t expect TexMex. Save that for Texas. Vegetarian options.

It used to be better, I waited a long time for food

solid Mexican, but nothing more. Quesadillas are dripping with cheese, but otherwise there isn't as much of the other filling in them. Ambiance was okay, but more of a snack bar. I won't come back.

It's a very simple burritto shop. Typical solid TexMex food, the service is nice and responded well to an error on the menu. The facility is ok. If you're in the mood for a burritto or a quesdilla, you can get it here. However, I wouldn't spend an entire evening there.

Unfortunately I have to reduce it to two stars. The food is amazing, if you can get something to eat. The store is super unreliable. Sometimes he just shuts down without justification. Sometimes his delivery is late, so he doesn't open until 2 hours later. He has already given up the lunch business entirely. I also give up and eat somewhere else.

Ate real tacos for the first time!! The service was super tasty and the kitchen was very friendly and accommodating, despite my many extra requests. I'll be back 💪🏻💪🏻

Vegetarian burrito was delicious. You can also sit outside with your dog and a bowl of water was brought straight to us. Food took a bit long.

Llegando no parecía tan mal, pero sentados en la mesa, poco a poco nos dimos de cuento que tan sucio estaba todo. La mesa los cubiertos y los baños - no los han limpiado hace 10 dias, y eso lo tienen publicado en un papel en la pared dentro del baño. Un solo asco. El personal tomaba vino detrás del bar y escucharon música altísima. Mencionando la comida era muy básico 3 quesadillas lleno de aceite y no traía las cosas que dice en el menú. Preguntando por salsa picante me entregaron sal y eso que se llaman restaurante mexicano… Una sola descripción!!!

Waiting time has doubled since ownership changed. Nobody wants table service, nobody wants monthly decor changes. Just do it like you used to

The seller was very nice the first time and all wishes were fulfilled. Toilet super clean and nice style. We will be back

“lecker lecker lecker” - was my old review from 2 years ago. Which is still true. But many little things makes this place feel bad enough so that I stopped going. They raised the base price more than any other restaurant over the years. Little extras cost more. They give you 0.2cl soft drinks for the same price. They have a card paying system that automatically tries to give a tip which achieves exactly the opposite for me: not wanting to tip anymore.

Unfortunately I can't make any recommendations here. We felt very uncomfortable. Bad light, bad service, no paper in the only toilet. The taste is okay, but birria tacos always have to taste really good... What a shame

Tacos extremely tasty, service very friendly - but in my opinion overloaded due to the many people picking up (Wolt and self-collecting). Unfortunately, overall cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, and it's also uncomfortable inside. There is only one toilet for all guests, paper towels were empty...) But again: great Mexican food. Hence 4 stars.

Just had it delivered: tacos that are dripping with fat and cheese, but without fresh cilantro, without corn and the like. Lumps of cheese and meat in the stomach. Changes in operator seem to have a massive impact on the food - unfortunately in the wrong direction.

I used to enjoy being here, now for the first time since the change of operator. I ordered a veggi burrito with a soy meat substitute. I had to realize that there was only one type of beans left, which was a shame. Plus hot sauce and chipotle mayo. While I was waiting for my food next to the music system that was way too loud, I was hit by a bottle cap that the waitress let fly across the store when he opened the cola for his own consumption. Because the music was so loud, she didn't (or couldn't) pay any attention to my brief complaint. So far so ok. But when I wanted to eat my burrito at home, I realized that I got a burrito with chicken, without cheese (which costs €1.50?!!!?!? extra) and with the sour cream sauce. That was my last visit.

When I ordered I wasn't asked about the level of spiciness, even though my friend had done it beforehand. Very long wait even though it was empty. The food got cold and even though I said I didn't want any beans or corn, there were still some in there. Also discovered 2 hairs in the food. So very dissatisfied with everything.

We were here for the first time. The service was friendly and very nice and explained the individual dishes to us. There was a welcome from the kitchen. The food itself was also very tasty...there's nothing to complain about. However, I have a problem with hygiene and cleanliness. In the corners opposite the toilet there was food in unrefrigerated plastic boxes, the toilet was not clean, the back part looked very untidy, the floor had sticks everywhere and the seating outside was very shaky and not clean. There were some ants walking around a table. Gloves were worn behind the counter, but unfortunately the overall impression didn't convince us.

First visit to Locorito. Ambience very appealing. Seating outside is limited, with a narrow strip offering a handful of seats. However, this is due to the many shops. I really wanted to try the tacos. First of all - they are served as shown in picture 3. But that's not clear from the map. At the beginning you think, crazy, €11 for a taco is really steep. Absolutely ok for 3. Write tip 3 pieces on the card. Unfortunately you can't mix the tacos. Which is a shame and incomprehensible!?! That would be a good thing. The highest price for 3 different ones on the record. Very good quality. Slightly crispy, juicy as it should be and good dips. Ingredients are fresh and the quantity is ok. Service friendly and accommodating. Corona on tap - top Waiting time within reason. There wasn't much going on. If things are going well, I think you'll have to wait a while longer. 4 out of 5 (for the tips. 😊)

There was recently a change of operator. We have known the restaurant for years and really enjoy eating there. Is something different than the typical pasta, pizza, sushi, Chinese. The menu has been significantly simplified with the change of operator (now part of The Harp), which makes ordering easier. Something that isn't highlighted that much, but is super tasty, is the Loccorito special - a burrito with two tortillas on the outside with cheese in between. Food coma and delirium guaranteed! Changing, individual creations are also offered as alternative dishes in addition to the menu. The food is still delicious and the atmosphere is rustic. There is a small point deduction because the staff has to get used to it and the orders sometimes take longer than you are used to. I hope or think it will get better with time and the friendliness makes up for it!

ridiculous place you order something to eat, you have to wait half an hour and then it's just canceled because the end of the day is more important than doing your job... never again

Bad food and a sweating chef who constantly wiped the sweat from his forehead with his black gloves. Overall, the cooking area makes a very dirty impression. Ingredients fall from one container to the next, which is rather disgusting, especially with vegetarian options. I had ordered tacos and received, well, a casserole dish filled with corn, in which there was a pile of tortillas with cheese and sauce. No idea what it was supposed to be or how you were supposed to eat it. Overall, the store appears poorly organized and unhygienic.

Bad food and an absolutely unfriendly "chef" all in all a completely unsatisfactory experience.

We were there for the reopening and are sooooo excited about the ambience, service and food. We have never eaten such delicious tacos and burritos in our lives and the price is so cheap for the very good quality. Everything is as fresh as you would expect from the owners of Harp and Butjer! Top. Absolutely recommended 🌮❤️😮‍💨

The food is super tasty and the portion is generous. The ambience could be revised and adjusted a bit.

We wanted to get tacos to take away. I'm not happy because the tacos were dripping with oil and they only consisted of meat. However, the meat was not of good quality. In addition, the tacos were not crispy, but very soft with too much cheese. The kitchen and bar were not tidy, which left a bad impression from the start. As you can see from the pictures, the tacos don't look very appetizing. Overall, I do NOT recommend the food. If you want to eat delicious, fresh, crunchy tacos, I recommend “Die Tacoria” in Hanover.

For some time now there has been a catastrophic atmosphere and far too long waiting times. Just disorganized.

For those who love a certain type of cuisine, it is worth trying, a little disappointed by the rice, strange taste, a bit like cooking chicken. Very nice location with outdoor tables located in a well-kept and particular street in Hanover. Average prices.

Unfortunately I have to lower my rating from 5 to 1 star. The price of a burrito is now high. When paying by card, you are directly and very unpleasantly informed about the possibility of giving a tip. At that moment I asked myself what the tip should be for because the employee took an order? Strange business practice…! I didn't leave a tip and then had to wait about 45 minutes for the burrito. Fritz Cola is only available in 0.2l, previously 0.3l! When the burrito finally came, it completely fell apart after the first bite because aluminum foil was no longer used. Afterwards I was allowed to eat the burrito with a knife and fork. The overwhelmed employee wasn't interested. It was totally cold and uncomfortable in the store itself. Almost all guests sat at the tables wearing jackets. For me, that was the end of the Locorito, and I gave the store a chance every now and then after it was taken over. Unfortunately it's not like it used to be and in this case everything used to be better! A pity!

We were there for the first time and loved it! It tasted really delicious and the food was hot and fresh. All sauces are homemade and you can taste it. The mango salsa is particularly recommended, but the sour cream was also really good. The atmosphere was very cozy, good for sitting and talking. Price/performance ratio was absolutely top, we had the QuesoTacos (see picture) and the Quesidillas, I can only recommend them.

Food was delicious, good selection, friendly service, but unfortunately I have to deduct a star because of the toilets. That was really more than a little dirty. Totally dirty, no soap, no toilet paper.

What can I say. The food is simply extremely delicious. I don't know when I last had such a delicious meal. The service is also super courteous and nice. The price is also more than okay.

I really like the store. But time and time again, ingredients are sold out or appear on the menu without ever being able to order them. Today there was neither the meat nor the sauce. Even tortillas were out. Coming from a little further afield, if I had known today that the majority of my order wouldn't arrive as planned, I would have stayed at home. Edit: Need to update my review from last year. This time 1/5 stars instead of 2/5. The store will never see me again. Staff are better off at university, where their incompetence does not mean harm to others. Burrito consisted of 80% rice, hardly any sauce (although extra was charged) and I had to soften the chicken in my mouth with a sip of water because it was so dry. Thought I'd try again after over a year. But nothing has improved. I'm surprised by the good recessions. Ciao

The Harp taking over the store was the best thing that could have happened to Locorito! Food is finally unbeatably delicious again!

Additions were added to the bill that we had not ordered and after our complaint there was no apology. The vegetarian soy burrito wasn't seasoned so unfortunately it was very bland, the rest of the food was good. Overall ok, but not recommended due to the service.

Although the food is delicious, the staff is not very welcoming. The menu has hidden charges that are not explicitly written or told by the staff, and the only way to know is in the bill after you pay. The food is tasty, but the overall experience is not worth it. If anything, just ask for delivery.

Tacos were 5/10 Burrito also 5/10 And was waiting around 40 minutes to get them. Really recommended for people who like wasting time and eating bland food.

It's my favorite restaurant. I come once a week and every time the buritto gives me new feelings of happiness. By far one of the best restaurants in Hanover.

Authentisches mexikanisches Essen, mega Service und Corona vom Fass - jederzeit wieder!

Lecker Essen und ein klasse Service. Die Bedienung ist extrem nett und spricht für das internationale Publikum mehrere Sprachen. Besonders die hausgemachten Dips und die Guacamole zu den Tacos waren sehr lecker. Und das alles in einem lockeren Ambiente. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

Wir haben essen per Wolt bestellt und es war absolut nicht genießbar, wir mussten es weg werfen…. und eine Erstattung wurde vom Inhaber abgelehnt. Das Essen war eis kalt und hat geschmeckt als wäre es schon einmal eingefroren und wieder aufgetaut. Leider wurden auch nur die billigsten Produkte verarbeitet.

Sehr liebe Bedienung dort. Preisleistung ist top, man wir auf jedenfall von einem burrito satt. Empfehlenswert wenn man Lust auf saftiges Essen hat.

Ein um 13:00 Uhr öffnendes Restaurant ist ansich erstmal kein Problem, ebenso wenig die offenstehende Tür und das davor sitzende & essende Personal. Der Ton allerdings vergrault Stammgäste, denn zur Mittagszeit möchte man sich ungerne schnippisch & frech entgegnen lassen „Pech für sie“ - hier hat jemand das Serviceprinzip nicht verstanden. Dreckig frech grinsend wird mit einer so dreisten Ironie auf offener Straße mit dem potenziellen Gast diskutiert, dass man hier gar nicht mehr einkehren möchte (und wird). Ein absolutes no-Go, was man sich hier scheinbar leisten kann. Klare NICHT-Empfehlung. Alternativen gibt es im direkten Umkreis reichlich, welche dank dieser Erfahrung nun entdeckt wurden und sogar frischer, als auch preislich attraktiver sind.

Sehr freundlicher Umgang, Speisekarte mit vielen Variationsmöglichkeiten (somit ist wirklich für jeden etwas dabei), bei Extrawünschen oder fragen kommt das Personal einem sehr entgegen. Das Essen an sich ist einfach gut und lecker, mit viel Sorgfalt zubereitet (Open Kitchen) und qualitativ einwandfrei! Wenn ich das nächste mal in Hannover bin werde ich wiederkommen :)

Heute zum ersten Mal was von Locorito gegessen und es war hervorragend😋 wir wissen nicht genau was wir gegessen haben, es war Empfehlung des Hauses, aber es war so lecker, knusprig überbacken mit einer sehr leckeren Käse-Fleisch-Füllung und eine schöne frische Sauce mit angenehmer Schärfe dazu, einfach nur lecker. Vielen lieben Dank an dem netten Menschen, die dort einen tollen Job machen❤️

Leckere mexikanische Gerichte, die selbst zusammengestellt werden können. Die Karte ist überschaubar, mehr braucht es aber auch nicht. Der Laden wirkt auf mich authentisch. Ich mag es dort für eine schnelle leckere Mahlzeit einzukehren.

This one's a real tear squeezer, and perhaps it sounds like I'm all horns and rattles, but I say this out of love: To my great and undying disappointment, it looks like the menu of this previously fine establishment is now being "Germanized". The spicy salsas are no longer spicy, and more changes to the menu are a-coming. There wasn't even a lick of chipotle in the chipotle. If it wasn't for the fact that I paid with my fully stamped and certified loyalty card (that's how much I love, or loved, this joint), I'd have asked for my dollars back. At first the bar dog blamed that day's pot rustler for stirring up a sauce so German-like and mild I could use it as ointment on my saddle sores, but it soon transpired that something more sinister was afoot. There's also been a lot of shrinkflation, although that's a word I struggle to pronunciate. The burritos have shrunk to a hair short of half their previous size. Meanwhile, the prices are rising like whatever the opposite of a lead balloon is. Apparently cheese, CHEESE, my beloved queso, now costs a dollar extra. Loyalty card stamps are now per order, not per burrito. Over in merry old England, the folks there call shenanigans such as these "daylight robbery." This used to be my very favorite dive in this whole chili-forsaken continent. I used to tell anyone who'd listen that this was the only place this side of the Atlantic where they'll fix you anything remotely resembling a real American burrito, and I was proud to say it, with a tear in my eye and a hand on my heart. Every American I took there agreed profusely. Now I ain't so sure. I feel like anyone who hasn't been already has now missed out for good. The old Locorito is dead, and he died with his boots on. Looking at what the place has become and what it's becoming, I feel like I walked in on a murder scene, but the blood is ketchup and the bullets are spilled beans. But I may have caught the suspects on the scene with their irons still hot, 'cause it looks the these fellas are in cahoots with The Harp again, and we all know how that went down last time. Maybe it's just a powerful coincidence that some fella from The Harp arrived while I was eating my disappointing burrito with "loco" sauce that tasted like ketchup (or at a stretch and with a little imagination, barbecue), but he began pontificating loudly about the changes to come. It certainly gave the impression these notions were coming from him, and although the cause of death of Locorito's Steintor store was never really in doubt, it's nice to know what face to put on the wanted poster. I'm not sure what they're thinking, but they don't seem to have learned a bit. The Harp ran the Steintor location into the ground with their mighty peculiar notions, and it looks like they may be at it again. Maybe they think they're struggling to attract guests and need to change things up. Buddy, it's not the food. Hell, it ain't even the prices, inflated as they are. There's more than one way to skin a cat, and I can name a dozen other reasons why this place sucks, but the food ain't it. Folks come here DESPITE all that fuss and muss because the food is so darn incomparable, or at least it was. If they change up the ONE AND ONLY thing that keeps folks coming back, then I won't be surprised to see a boarded up storefront by the end of the year. I only want the best for this place. I'm only criticizing it because I love it and will miss it when it's gone. I really hope whoever is putting this restaurant on the path to self destruction has a long hard think about what they're doing before it all goes south. There are so many things about this joint that need to change before you even lay a finger on the cuisine, and if they do, well, they'll have me and my opinions to answer to, which ain't much, but I hereby appoint myself their unofficial most loyal customer of all time, so there's that. As they say out West, fish or cut bait. Change things up all you like and all day long till the cows come home, but keep your chili-hating German hands of my chipotle.

Super freundlicher Service und leckeres Essen. Wir wurden gut beraten, da wir uns noch nicht so gut auskannten und das Essen war einfach lecker. 🤤 Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Staff is very friendly and can speak English and German both. Bowl, salat are delicious during lunch time. Payment can be done by cash or card. Ambience is not like a fine-dine but a rough & tough space

Waren heute vor Ort, leider hat der Laden einen nicht sehr hygienischen Eindruck bei uns hinterlassen. Auch das Essen war enttäuschend, da haben wir schon leckerer und authentischer mexikanisch gegessen. Das einzige was den Burrito von einem Sandwich bei Subway hier unterscheidet, ist ein Löffel Reis:(

Warum benutzt ihr immernoch alufolie? Selbst bei nicht to go?! Würde gerne wieder kommen, aber erst wenn die alufolie abgeschafft ist bei euch. Tolles essen. Guter service.

Ich habe bisher immer Essen von dort geholt & es ist super lecker gewesen. Die Auswahl ist toll und das Personal gibt richtig gute Vibes ab. Musste auch nie lange warten, kann‘s aber jetzt gar nicht mehr abwarten wieder hinzugehen.

1 Punkt, weil 0 Punkte nicht möglich sind. Portionen werden von mal zu mal kleiner, Guacamole ist immer aus und nichtmal sauberes Besteck um das Essen zu essen.

Unglaublich schlechter Service, Gabeln erhält man erst nach nach Nachfrage nach 15 Minuten und Guacamole ist sowieso immer aus - nie wieder kann nur jedem von dem Laden abraten

Tacos halb kalt und lappig, Fleisch ( pulled pork und grilled chicken) wie aus der Packung, dazu ca. 5 Nacho Chips… Saucen fehlten. Quesadillas wenigstens warm, aber auch geschmacklich enttäuschend. Service nur das nötigste. Möbel draußen dreckig, überall Müll…

Ich war bereits drei mal mit Freunden im Lokorito essen. Ich habe mir erhofft dass der Service sich bei jedem Besuch vielleicht geändert hat. Jedoch wurde ich alle Male enttäuscht. Das Restaurant am steintor war sehr chaotisch und unordentlich. Es gab kein sauberes Besteck mehr und das schmutzige Besteck lag bei der Abgabe immernoch rum und keiner kümmerte sich darum. Hinzu kommt noch die lange Wartezeit auf meine Bestellung (Burrito mit Hühnchen), welche mir auch noch kalt serviert wurde. Zudem hatte ich dazu eine Portion guacamole bestellt, wofür man extra drauf zahlen musste, und welche dann auch noch vom Kellner vergessen wurde und das sogar bei 2 meiner Besuche. Das Team wirkte ganz nett jedoch finde ich den Laden für den chaotischen Service, die hohen Preise und das kalte Essen viel zu überbewertet. Ich würde jedem der auf gutes und authentisches Mexikanisches essen steht ein anderes Lokal empfehlen wie das Ekeko, Picando oder sogar das Enchilada. Lokorito kommt was traditionelle Mexikanische Küche und gutes Street food angeht keines falls hinterher. Sorry :(

Was there with a group of 4+3 kids and I can say its a quite decent Mexican street food restaurant. The burrito is yummy! staff is very friendly and interior is modern.

Ich wollte nur einen Buritto essen, der Buritto war ok, wobei ich die Portion etwas klein und die Bohnen etwas fade fand. Dafür war der Preis meiner Meinung nach zu hoch. Einer der Angestellten war allerdings äußerst unhöflich während ich bestellen wollte, ich hoffe wirklich das er einfach nur einen schlechten Tag hatte und nicht immer so ist. Das hat dazu geführt das ich mich nicht mehr wohlgefüllt habe und den Laden danach schnellstmöglich mit ´dem mittelmäßigen Burrito verlassen habe.

Zusammen mit der Filiale in der City ist das Locorito unverzichtbar in der Gastro-Szene. Beste Burritos und Tacos in town!
