We had lunch at Wang You today. The food was delicious, with a great selection. The service was very attentive and friendly. It's currently our favorite for Chinese food. The prices are also reasonable.

This is a hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant! It's unique in Hanover that they offer both a buffet and such delicious Chinese food. Five stars! Only the upper part of the Chinese menu requires advance reservation.

We've been waiting for two hours and still no sign of the food. I'd like to review the food too, but that's difficult because it hasn't even arrived yet. If you know five hours in advance that you'll be hungry in five hours, then order from there. Never again!

Hunan restaurant, you can eat a la carte or eat buffet. We ordered dishes, but the dishes were not spicy enough, and they were very oily and salty. We ordered several dishes (including pickled pepper chicken, small fish, and stir-fried meat) and they all tasted the same and were not tasty enough.

Absolutely delicious buffet! We were visiting Hanover and were incredibly hungry after a long city trip. We went to Wang You with our 6-year-old child and were immediately impressed. Not your typical all-you-can-eat restaurant like you'd expect from Hamburg... Absolutely more quality over quantity. 🤩 Both the individual dishes and the barbecue, sushi, and desserts... everything was tasteful, beautifully presented, and there was a bit of everything, yet not overly generous. 🤤 Even the fruit salad was fresh and not from a can. The service was also very friendly. Absolutely worth a visit!! 😀 Unfortunately, we're only here on vacation 😅

The Sunday buffet offers a wide selection, including signature dishes. The dessert selection is also delicious. However, quality is more important than quantity.

We ordered today at 6:42 PM (delivery time 30-55 minutes). We called at 7:48 PM and were told the driver was on the way (travel time approx. 8 minutes). - Still no delivery! From 8:08 PM onwards, the phone was ALWAYS busy. The delivery then arrived almost 2 hours after ordering and almost 1 hour (!!!!) after being told the driver was on the way, at 8:35 PM. It's a bit of a rip-off. There was no apology or anything like that. (I used to deliver myself. And if the order had been placed more than an hour ago, an apology in the form of a bottle of soft drink or an ice cream in warm weather or something similar was given.) They simply repeatedly pointed out that "it was busy!"... When the food was finally delivered, we discovered that it was almost cold and tasted subpar. It's a shame, I thought that because of the good reviews on Lieferando and Google I could have ordered from there more often... but unfortunately not again.

There's a buffet on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Ready-made meals and a counter where you can have your food freshly prepared leave nothing to be desired.

I still recommend it. The ambiance, service, and especially the food are good, in my opinion. The value for money is good and hopefully it stays that way. (7-25)

Since my husband is feeling better after a long illness, we went to Wang's on July 5, 2025, after more than six months. I ordered still water as usual, but unfortunately received a sparkling one. The soup that was brought to the table was lukewarm. The Lenten meal and all the bowls of chicken were empty, as were the potato wedges and spring rolls. After about 20 minutes, a few potato parcels and rolls were brought; the meat took a little longer. When we finally got the meat, the side dishes were, of course, gone again. When we asked for the bill, we paid by card. The waiter repeatedly asked us what amount he should enter and practically begged for a tip. When paying by card, we always tip in cash, which he received. We then gave our stamp card to the waiter and pointed out that it had expired two months ago. Since we've been guests there for about 30 years, we didn't expect the fuss that followed. It would be rude to present an expired menu and we should leave now. We asked to speak to the manager, but a waitress came to our table and was also very unfriendly. Since we know the staff, we were very surprised that the waitress had just promoted herself to manager. Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant evening, neither in terms of the food nor the atmosphere.

The evening buffet was great, some of it freshly prepared. We'd gladly go again 🤗

A somewhat unassuming Chinese restaurant with a large dining room in Döhren. The seating is comfortable, and the service is very friendly and, above all, fast. The food is consistently good and tasty. One small drawback: the clean restrooms are only accessible via stairs. This restaurant is recommended for anyone who doesn't mind this.

We came here as a family and had the buffet. It was incredibly delicious, with a great selection of dishes, and a very happy atmosphere. The service was super polite and helpful. We'd love to go again!

The restaurant is in beautiful surroundings that you should definitely explore on foot before or after your meal. It's modern and clean and great value for money for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. The buffet offering is absolutely sufficient. There is a Mongolian grill where you can put together your own food and then have it fried individually, a selected range of sushi, and of course a buffet with ready-made dishes. There is also nothing missing when it comes to desserts. And at a really affordable price. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive. A clear recommendation!!!

The lunch buffet was a great choice both in terms of price and taste. The beef, in particular, was super tender and delicious 🤤😊 It's also a good idea to take a short walk to the Leinewehr after dinner :)

My wife and I were in the restaurant at lunchtime. Super friendly service, very tasty lunch menu, great price/performance ratio. We would love to come back and can highly recommend Wang You. (It's just a bit inconvenient with the parking lot)

Very good buffet with a selection where everyone can find something

Five of us were there on December 31, 2024. The staff was totally overwhelmed and the buffet was 90% sold out. 30€/pp was not even remotely justified.

The heavily advertised New Year's Eve menu for 30€+ drinks sounded promising with a large selection of high-quality dishes, but it turned out to be an extremely overcrowded restaurant with a not so full buffet, bad-tempered staff, especially the ladies!!! It is an absolute no-go to poison your colleagues in front of the guests or to let out your bad mood. Only professionals are allowed to charge €30. Scrape out the leftovers from the buffet and rice without sauce is not worth €5. Clearly: stacked too high but not up to the situation as a professional.

A very nice Chinese restaurant on the edge of the Döhren Leine Island. Buffet or a la card is possible. Cheap lunch menu. The friendly service remains calm even in stressful situations. For me it's always a pleasure. The restaurant also has lots of outdoor seating, so it's wonderful in the summer. Only 3 stars for the ambience. Nothing has changed here for a long time.

Really bold. We ordered via Lieferando and waited an hour for our food until our former neighbors called us. The delivery service wanted to deliver to our old address, where we haven't lived for 2 years. So we called the restaurant and they told us there were system problems and they didn't have any contact details (no phone number, no email and no address), but they found an old order in the system where they had once delivered. In the hope that we would still live there, they delivered and we found each other through our former neighbors. Everything was stored correctly in the order confirmation, but we can't be blamed for system errors, we thought, and we even understood that and didn't get upset. The driver then arrived at our address some time later, but with cold and wrong food. We called again... They said there was nothing they could do about it and they didn't know that we had moved and there were system errors and we were welcome to have our order with noodles instead of rice as we wanted We either pick it up or pay €10 for a new delivery. Even though we couldn't do anything about it, we had to pay on top again. We also offered to keep the food for a discount, even though we ordered something else, but they insisted on their solution where we had to pay extra. At some point they hung up because people literally didn't care and there were only the two options. I called again and at some point they said they didn't feel like discussing things and would now deliver the way we wanted. What can I say...We are still waiting (already 1 hour 35 minutes) for the correct delivery and it probably won't come because the restaurant is closed. We feel ripped off and have been blatantly lied to. System errors were admitted, but they were made into our problem and no one cared about it. If you want to be disappointed, this is definitely the right place for you. Addendum: I called a day later and asked why we were told someone would come by again and deliver the correct order but in the end no one came (so we were lied to). Instead of apologizing or something similar, I was yelled at that they didn't have time to make a phone call and that they didn't care. I'm glad I still got my food... A disaster.

Unfortunately the owner has changed and the store has deteriorated greatly since then. Under the former owner Heer Wang we always felt welcome and were treated kindly. But the current owner shows no appreciation for his guests. I recently went there with my girlfriend to order takeaway. The boss initially wanted to take our order, but then two women came into the store after us. He simply left us standing there and canceled our order without a word to go take care of the other customers. I felt like I was a second class customer. The boss is very unsympathetic and I didn't feel comfortable at all and left immediately without ordering. That was definitely my last visit. We used to come here often, but now I'll look for another restaurant.

Regular guest for almost 20 years. The buffet is smaller than in other comparable restaurants, but it is classic, more than sufficiently varied and always tasty. Everything is delicious and the food is always warm. The desserts are also good. The service is nice. The only thing we don't like so much is the dark, back room where you have to sit when it's busy. We will be back soon and recommend the restaurant. All the Chinese in the area are significantly worse, especially if you eat from the buffet.
