Cozy beer garden with a view of the Maschsee. There is always something to see there. There are small dishes at the kiosk, but the dishes in the Pier Restaurant itself are a little more expensive. Still, it's a nice atmosphere.

There isn't really any service, you have to get your own drinks and food. Prices are quite high, medium-sized pizza 14 euros, iced tea (from the bottle) around 4 euros. If the Maschsee ambience is worth it to you. On top of that, it was damn crowded outside - I would have expected more space for the prices. The Maschsee is not the Alster. However, the pizza was very good

Unfortunately very unfriendly service. We wanted to eat there with our little daughter and friends. It was forbidden to put an additional chair at a table for four, even though that wouldn't have bothered anyone. Impossible response from the on-site operator. Food and ambience ok...with this customer focus we probably won't go there again...

We were pleasantly surprised. Ordering a table online is easy. Staff very polite, helpful and accommodating. Short waiting times. All dishes were excellently prepared and the portions were large to generous. Price/performance completely fine. Unfortunately, it was a bit drafty due to the open doors to the outside area.

Wanted to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake on a Saturday. According to internet research, the restaurant would be open! As guests of the city of Hanover, we looked for the restaurant and a parking space by car. We were all the more annoyed when we received the information from the place that the restaurant would be closed on Saturday. Better internet maintenance would have saved us the journey.

The food was great. Very nice, courteous service. Great ambience, view of the Maschsee, what more could you want? I'd love to come back.

This is all about the views and setting: reasonably close to the city centre and yet you sit, quite literally, on the lake.

Totally rude to us. The kitchen was still open for over half an hour. We were turned away because we had to prepare a society. We would have preferred to eat. You could even have made money that way.

I came across this lakeside restaurant by accident. It has a nice atmosphere and good service. The food is delicious and the portions are sufficient. The most important thing is that it is not expensive👍🏻 Parking is very convenient👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Disappointed. I always enjoyed eating currywurst there (outside). Somehow there were only bratwursts left. I have no idea what's available now. Otherwise it's nice, but the street noise bothers me when I'm chilling out

We didn't get a seat at Pier 51, even though the restaurant was empty and just opening. There is a reservation and the kitchen cannot accommodate two more people. We were offered the beer garden rather snidely. In the beer garden there was only Pinsa to eat, we ordered and were served very unfriendly by an older lady, the cash register didn't work and a receipt couldn't be issued. At the concession stand a young lady was playing on her cell phone and was annoyed when we tried to pay by card and was told "cash only". We didn't have enough cash with us and had to pay for our drinks online using a QR code with PayPal. We waited a long time for the Pinsa, the salmon version had thick strips of raw salmon on it and cold potato slices that weren't in the oven with the Pinsa...not very tasty, especially not at the high prices. We asked for salt and pepper "we are not allowed to give it out" was the announcement. In short: Thanks for nothing, we visited this store for the last time. I used to often go to Pier 51 with business partners! We were very happy with that, it's a shame what has become of it.

Unfortunately we are very disappointed. We have been there several times because of the location, beautiful location on the lake with a lot of potential but every time there was a problem with the service. You sit down and wait 10-15 minutes for service, the restaurant was empty. Despite there being few guests, we didn't even receive a menu card. As I said, we were there several times and the same thing every time. Service is simply ZERO and given the prices you should be offering the best service. The restaurant management should pay attention to service and train the staff.

Can't rate the food but the service is just terrible. Been there several times and only got something once. The first time there was supposedly a lack of staff and you had to at least go to an empty restaurant. Wait 30 minutes for his cocktails. Today 4 people stood at the bar and did absolutely nothing and after 15 minutes no one came to our table. However, with a stupid grin and a goodbye, we were escorted out when we didn't want to wait any longer. We will never come back and advise everyone against this restaurant. Just arrogant and rude staff.

Today was a closed company and we stood in front of a locked door. Unfortunately, it is not visible online for guests who just want to stop as they drive past. Too bad, maybe next time.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get any impressions of Pier 51 due to the closed indoor crowd. We then wanted to order something to drink in the beer garden next door, but when we asked about the possibility of paying with a card and access to the toilet, we were treated very politely by the waiter. They don't think this behavior is particularly hospitable.

Upscale ambience. Unfortunately far too expensive for a simple meal.

Hervorragendes Essen, große Portionen und eine ständig wechselnde Karte. Der Fisch schmeckt hier wirklich immer so frisch wie in Restaurants, die wir an der Nord- und Ostsee besucht haben. Tolle Weinauswahl! Sehr empfehlen können wir die Mittagsmenüs, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Schöne Terrasse, über dem Wasser gelegen. Das einzige, was wir an diesem schönen Restaurant bemängeln können ist, dass man so selten einen Tisch reservieren kann. Entweder ist der Besuch wegen einer geschlossenen Gesellschaft nicht möglich oder alle Tische sind bereits ausgebucht. Bei schönem Wetter kann man spontan noch draußen einen Tisch „ergattern“. Sonntags gibt es nur Kaffee und Kuchen, die Köche haben dann frei.

We have been coming to the Pier for over 25 years. Last year and this year too, we felt a bit unwelcome. The 1st question: Have you made a reservation? No? Oh then it gets difficult & you are left standing for now... Although not even half of it was occupied at lunchtime. The food was, as always, TOP! The service too, but the reception of the last 2 years left a tiny aftertaste...you can do better😎

Was only in the beer garden and it is very cozy with its thick trees and the view of the Maschsee. There is also a jetty here, ideal for a tour.

We were very satisfied with our visit to Pier 51 today. Sunny weather, pleasant temperatures, a table on the terrace with a view of the Maschsee. In addition, excellent dishes: “Pier fish market of the day: colorful salad with fried fish fillets” and “butterfish fillet with green asparagus and oranges”. Everything was presented perfectly by the very nice ladies from the service. In short: an all-round successful event for which we give the restaurant the highest recognition.

Nice in the restaurant outside with a view of the Maschsee. Prices a little higher, but very good quality. My current recommendation is gnocchi with fresh spinach and asparagus for EUR 16.50 or the fish plate with salad for EUR 21.50. In the evening you can watch the sunset over the stadium from the terrace. Unique location on the water in Hanover. It is better to reserve a table in advance, as there are often parties in the restaurant for which areas may already be occupied. Gladly again!

One of the most beautiful locations in Hanover, directly on the Maschsee with a view over the lake to the west. We celebrated a family celebration there and received excellent service. They're always there too. Solid, high-quality cuisine (quite generous portions), decent wine list and impeccable service.

We were there spontaneously on Thursday afternoon. There was nothing to eat because everything was supposedly already fully booked. Unfortunately, this was communicated to us in a relatively unfriendly manner. The champagne was even more expensive than on the menu. Unfortunately, the young man was very clumsy and the experienced colleagues were quite unfriendly. No kitchen on Sundays is very sad for this great location.

The Corona crisis is forcing shift work, which we didn't see as a drama. The service is attentive and prompt, even when wearing a mask. Three of us had fish (matching the Maschsee) and one had vegetarian. The fish was very good and plentiful, and the prices were really reasonable. The starters were also generous and could easily be shared between two people. The caprese came with an unusual sauce that was tasty but contained a lot of garlic - a matter of taste. What we find backwards is that there is no vegetarian dish on the menu. It was recommended to omit meat from the main course or pasta with vegetables. We found that poor for an otherwise such a good restaurant. A recent update: Today by invitation, a three-course menu with a choice of main course. Includes two vegetarian alternatives. Conclusion. Everything was perfect and the service (it was well attended) also deserves thanks and respect!

Just had something to drink. The service is underground. The previous table is not cleared and cleaned properly. The outside terrace was closed because "the evening business is being prepared". Can't you do this table by table? They're not that bright here. As guests, are we not entitled to sit wherever we want, provided the table is free? The organization and operations are simply overwhelmed. The view is beautiful and you can't go wrong with the drinks. Don't come back.

No, that wasn't really something to drink coffee with. If you love ready-made cakes and overpriced hot drinks in miniature form, this is the place for you in the afternoon. The staff is neutrally friendly, and unnecessary greetings, thanks or farewell phrases are not used. The only convincing thing is the location and view - as feared.

I base my review on the pier garden next to the restaurant. Great and the most beautiful place in Hanover to relax and meet friends. A bit of fresh wind 💨 around you. Simply ingeniously designed and order with your cell phone directly at the table using the QrCode, pay via Apple Pay or KK (payment provider: TableSnappr) and no EC payment is possible and then the order is immediately brought to the table. I think it's simply brilliant during the pandemic 🤩 solved and works perfectly. Great 👍

one of the most beautiful locations in Hanover. Came over for coffee and cake on Saturday. It wasn't very busy and there was enough staff. We had to wait over half an hour before we could even order, and that was only because we had missed the waiter. He didn't know what cakes there were, so we just got any and unfortunately they were still frozen. There were the same cake problems at our neighboring table... What a shame...

I'm amazed once again, the location by the lake, the service couldn't be better and it was delicious anyway.... Thank you for the great evening
