But how I can recommend this place. Great service, excellent food and a very nice atmosphere. We were there with a group of > 10 people and were welcomed into a very pleasant atmosphere. Even though the restaurant was completely full, we were able to have a good conversation, which speaks for the good acoustics. I'm thrilled and will definitely be back 😊🥰

Hello friends. We opened here too. The view is great. You look over the Maschsee (if you sit the right way up. We didn't eat. We just wanted to drink a latte or a cappuccino. The drinks tasted okay. The quantity, or the price, was quite high. Even if we can afford it.... no, not again. The facility is clean but simple. A few meters further was the “coffee maker” with his bicycle stand. We got double the amount. The price was identical, the taste was noticeably better. At this point also a “get well soon”. We'll meet Again. Our bonus card is filling up significantly. Best regards. The location directly on the Maschsee is wonderfully located. The view is great, the furnishings are modern and airy. The service seemed well coordinated, we were seated straight away (on the side since we were traveling with a dog), we didn't have to wait. The food was delicious, the portions were generous - appropriate for the price. We'd love to come back!

We were only there to drink coffee/eat cake. The atmosphere is wonderful, we were able to sit outside in the sun with a view of the Maschsee. Very friendly service and everything went very quickly. The cake pieces were very tasty, but could have been a little bigger. Clear recommendation! 👍

Great atmosphere, good selection and nice staff.

Unfortunately it was closed again this Sunday for an event, as it has been a few other times when we wanted to stop there.

Lunch at Pier 51, my first ever visit to this well-known location in Hanover in a prime location on the Maschsee. I opted for the "Crispy duck legs with Brussels sprouts" (18.50€), my blackhead for truffled and spinach-filled ravioli, as the "Strozzapreti in cream chanterelles and parmesan" listed on the menu were no longer available. He was also very impressed with the pasta. In short, we went back to the desk well-fed and satisfied. Location, service and ambience were also 5* - worth it!

Oh how great, why didn't I discover this beautiful place sooner. Very good food and a nice setting with a water view. Reservations are necessary, but occasionally you get a celebrity bonus from Hanover.

Um ganz entspannt einen Abend bei gutem Essen und sehr gutem Service zu erleben ist das Pier 51 genau die optimale Anschrift. Trotz Vorweihnachtszeit und dem entsprechend hohen Aufkommen an Gästen lief unser Besuch von der Tischreservierung bis zu angebotenem Dessert beim Essen super ruhig, extrem kompetent und überragend freundlich ab. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden und sogar die empfohlenen Gerichte außerhalb der Karte waren erfreulicher Weise auch preislich im Rahmen. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auch einen erneuten Besuch im Pier 51 bei unserem nächsten Hannover Besuch.

Great Christmas party with very good food (very generous portions) & first class service! The background noise was a bit annoying because the architecture caused the sound to refract several times. You can only talk to the person next to you.

Ambience friendly, food excellent, staff competent and courteous

The food was excellent, the ambience was more like a train station atmosphere, but I've also experienced worse. All in all, I can recommend the store with a clear conscience!

Yediğim balık ve sosu mükemmeldi. Normalde soslu balık tercih etmezdim ama bu restaurantta gayet başarılıydı. Öğün gayet doyurucu ve lezzetliydi. Nehir kenarı şık ve güzel bir mekan.

Mi segunda vez en este restaurante, éramos un grupo grande y sin embargo fuimos muy bien atendidos, en una cena de cuatro tiempos. Los platos fueron todos de muy buen nivel, bien logrados, con una mezcla de sabores muy excitante para el paladar, de los buenos restaurantes que he saboreado. El vino a la altura de la calidad de los platos y el postre, sensacional! Volvería!

great location on the Maschsee. Ambience is great. There's no kitchen on Sundays (for whatever reason). Only drinks and cakes available. The cake was ok, unfortunately nothing more (somehow it seemed like it had been thawed). The staff was friendly and tried hard, but it gave the impression that there was a lack of perspective and structure. Mental arithmetic wasn't really my strength either. But overall ok due to the location.

I've been going there with my family for over 20 years, or before I even existed. Very tasty food, with large portions, there is a lot of good food here for the same price, where with others you get 2 mini pieces of meat, a small slice of sauce and a potato. Would give it 11 out of 10 if possible!

Very special location: loud, inflexible kitchen. Regardless of whether it is meat or fish, everything swims in the same green sauce and is topped with salty mushrooms. Had great expectations, unfortunately disappointed.

Great! We organized a 3-course team meal for 34 people at Pier51 and were thrilled from the planning to the menu! Very customer focused, flexible and friendly and the food was simply a DREAM! The ambience was great and a little oasis, especially in the big city! Thank you, dear team from Pier51 - if we hadn't come so far away and only come to Hanover for one event, we would be regular guests!

I won't be back, vegetarians are not welcome at lunchtime.

Top food, in a cozy atmosphere right on the Maschsee

Sehr schöner Abend. Vorweg 1x die Tagesempfehlung. Salat mit Ziegenkäse. 1x Rindercarpaccio. Die Tagesempfehlung war wirklich ein Traum. Allerdings müsste man danach nicht wirklich noch ein Hauptgericht. Als Hauptgang einmal die Ente und einmal die Grilliata. Grilliata ? Ein Fischfiletteller mit 6 kleinen Fischfilets, 1 Garnele, verschiedene kleine Rosmarinkartoffeln und Balsamicolinsen mit einer grünen Sauce. Beides wirklich zu viel. Aber soooo lecker. Als Abschluss die Dessertvariation für 10€. Allein davon wäre man mehr als satt geworden. Aber perfekt. Herr Sakolovic hat uns bedient. Toll…Super…was soll man sagen. Grauburgunder bezahlbar und für uns sehr lecker. Die Ente perfekt. Brust und Keule mit !!! 2 großen Klößen, Rotkraut und super Sauce. Aber auch hier. Große Portion. Der Nachbartisch durfte die Reste in einer Schale mitnehmen. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend mit einer perfekten Küche und wirklich sehr nettem, zuvorkommenden Personal. Glatte 1.

An exceptionally beautiful location and with a fantastic sunset we had a wonderful celebration. The Pier51 team made this event an unforgettable evening. From start to finish the service was outstanding, attentive and always friendly. The food as a buffet and the wines were super tasty. The food was always refilled quickly so that no one had to wait for the food.

Pier51 was a nice experience. We ordered a table at 8 PM, and heard very soon that the kitchen was to close at 9 PM. Therefore the service was too quick for a casual business dinner with customers. They were still finishing their aperitif cocktail during their main course. Otherwise, food was great and portions elaborate. So my recommendation is either to have the kitchen open until a later time, or to book your table earlier !

We were guests in Hanover and wanted to eat something at Pier 51. The time was 5 p.m. Unfortunately, they didn't respond to us at all. It was only when I asked my partner to ask if we could get a menu that we were told that the evening business only starts at 6 p.m. It wasn't anything more than a nice location.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Pier 51. The Pier did a great job: the food was great, the service was great too and the ambience was great! The pier adhered to all agreements and was absolutely transparent and fair in terms of pricing. They were always available and implemented our last spontaneous requests very professionally. Even the photo box, which was our sole responsibility and which the pier actually had nothing to do with, was kept running professionally at all times (although changing the photo rolls is really complicated). We would choose the pier again and again :)!

It was a lovely evening with "Oton the audiologists & friends", apart from the people, the ambience was also a dream and the food and drink left nothing to be desired 😊

We were outside in the more casual bar cafe area. Great view but it's a bit overpriced for a quasi self service location. The food selection is tasty but extremely limited.

A family friend and Hanover and Hanover local made a booking at this lovely restaurant for our last night in the city. What a wonderful experience dining on the terrace overlooking the lake just beautiful. We were also treated to a glorious sunset with wonderful clouds and a little lightening. The menu was interesting and the food excellent and plentiful - had to skip any dessert. A great evening. Service friendly and not intrusive. Not an inexpensive dining option but quality reflective of the prices. Very busy on a Tuesday evening so recommend booking. Highly recommended.

Cozy beer garden with a view of the Maschsee. There is always something to see there. There are small dishes at the kiosk, but the dishes in the Pier Restaurant itself are a little more expensive. Still, it's a nice atmosphere.

There isn't really any service, you have to get your own drinks and food. Prices are quite high, medium-sized pizza 14 euros, iced tea (from the bottle) around 4 euros. If the Maschsee ambience is worth it to you. On top of that, it was damn crowded outside - I would have expected more space for the prices. The Maschsee is not the Alster. However, the pizza was very good

Unfortunately very unfriendly service. We wanted to eat there with our little daughter and friends. It was forbidden to put an additional chair at a table for four, even though that wouldn't have bothered anyone. Impossible response from the on-site operator. Food and ambience ok...with this customer focus we probably won't go there again...

Large portions and a bit too heavy for summer, misses some more light dishes with chanterelles. But overall good service, relaxing atmosphere in a stunning setting right at the lake!!!
