The Liman Restaurant in Hamburg is an excellent fish restaurant. They offer catch of the day and a wide variety of fish dishes, all of which are exquisite. Excellent Food and Service. Not cheap but good value. Can strongly recommend it. One of my favorites in Hamburg for fish.

Unfortunately, you can only give 5 stars each for ambience, food, and service. Service deserves at least one more star. We were guests yesterday, and it couldn't have been more welcoming. We had such a lovely evening, were treated to culinary delights, and enjoyed the beautiful ambiance and the exceptional friendliness there. So: definitely try it out and become a regular!

In my opinion, the best restaurant not only in Winterhude but in all of Hamburg! Yes, it's expensive, but you get very professional service, excellent food, and good wine. We come here often, and it's always good.

There were four of us there early Tuesday evening. It wasn't busy yet. Two adults, two children (2 and 5 years old). The service was practically fantastic, extremely child-friendly, and spilled wine was refilled. Everything was perfect. I thought the wines by the glass were incredibly good. Everyone enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room for dessert. The price was a bit high, but absolutely justified in our opinion.

After a long absence, I finally returned to Liman and, as always, enjoyed excellent food and drinks. If you like fish, you can't miss the opportunity to fully enjoy it, including outstanding service. For starters, there's the fantastic tuna tartare with a slice of avocado, which I've only ever had here before. For main courses, if you're undecided, there's the Liman Summer Deluxe or Liman Mixed Grill. If you're really hungry and have time to digest, you might also want to try the St. Tropet Seafood Etagere. No matter what you choose, it's perfectly prepared and balanced. I'd be happy to go back anytime.

I thought the ambiance was very nice, except that the tables were so close together, which was a bit distracting. We had the shrimp in a cream sauce for starters, which deserved 5/5 stars, as I've never had shrimp as delicious as this before. However, we were very disappointed with the main course, as the food on the plate wasn't hot, but rather lukewarm, and not properly seasoned. If I'm paying almost €40 for a plate, I expect more. The service was very attentive and simply excellent. We would definitely go back sometime, but we would only order the starters as our main course.

Liman de Lux. This dish is magnificent. With butter. God. Yummy. What delicious potatoes. And the tuna, incredible. Tentacles, fish. Delight!!! The wine is good. The bread with spread is wonderful. Well-trained waiters - very pleasant service. This is not my first time here. Thank you. I wish you prosperity!!

Lovely atmosphere and very good quality of cusine. We came here spontaneously for late Luch and didn't regret it. Owner is very friendly person.I had for my luch Grilled Dorade with Ratatouille and Truffle potatoes. Ratatouille is the best one wich I had in Germany this year. I think the secret is roasted bell papper and tomato for sauce. Taste of vegetable is so intense. So my fish was GRILLED perfectly and not loaded with salt. Very often in Germany quantity of salt to high and this is a big problem. Here everything was top. You dint need be warrid about quality. Top.Pasta with lobster was choosen by my husband. He say sause/ jus was very creamy and delicious. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente .Portions ideal for French people. Due very hot day we skipped desserts Facit :we definitely will come again.

We went there for lunch and had sole that was filleted right at our table. And it was simply delicious! The service was super attentive and very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

We were here a few weeks ago on a Saturday at 3:30/4 p.m. It was still busy and the seating was great. We received a very warm welcome and the food was truly delicious. There was one small downside, however: We waited a very long time for drinks (water and soft drinks) (about 15 minutes after ordering) and at least 30 minutes for the appetizer and then another 30 minutes for the main courses, after they had taken the appetizer away. We were almost stuffed just from snacking on the delicious bread. We'd still happily come back, because the food and service were really good, just a bit slow. It's possible the kitchen wasn't ready at that time. It was between lunch and dinner.

From calamari with a yoga background to salmon presumably blessed with olive oil 🧘🦑🍋 The man simply knows what he's doing. So much so that I wonder if Gürcan himself wasn't born in the sea at some point – probably somewhere between two sea bass 🌊🐟🐟 And anyone who thinks that's it will get a çay on the house at the end – because Gürcan is not only the fish Turk, but also the çay Sheikh of hearts ☕❤️ Conclusion: If it's fish, then it's Gürcan. Top food and service, clear recommendation for Hamburg

In dem sehr lebhaften Stadtteil Winterhude gelegen ist dieses Restaurant ein echter Farbtupfer in einem gut bürgerlichen Ambiente. Das Lokal, halbe Treppe runter, ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet, die Tische sehr schön eingedeckt. Der Service ist sofort ein aufmerksamer Begleiter ohne aufdringlich zu sein und verfügt über wirkliche Produktkenntnisse. Beratung daher zielführend und später bestätigt. Vorspeisen (Gambas Limans Art und Austern sehr gute Qualität) und daher super Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Wären wir Weintrinker hätte es auch hier eine schöne Auswahl und kompetente Beratung gegeben. Hauptspeise 2x Mix a la Liman (37,50 €) sehr fein ausbalanciert und aufeinander abgestimmt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten ein sehr leckeres Abendessen. Cocktails marktgerecht und lecker gabs dazu. Gerne wieder

We regularly eat at the Foodmile and yesterday had the opportunity to try the fish dishes. You can immediately tell that the owner places great emphasis on quality – and you can taste it! Fish, bread, and meat were all perfectly prepared. A big thank you also to the service team: We received a very warm welcome, were seated in a friendly manner, and received great recommendations for drinks and food. Conclusion: A small but fine shop – highly recommended!

5 Stars – My Trusted Fish Turk 🐟🇹🇷 So folks, anyone who thinks only Northerners know anything about fish has never been to the "Fish Turk" around the corner. As soon as I entered the shop, the smell of freshly grilled sea bream and family-style hospitality filled the air – a combination that would make even my mother-in-law melt (and she usually only eats breaded schnitzel with suspicion). The owner, Gürcan, the self-proclaimed Fish Turk, greets every guest with a broad grin and a squeeze of lemon. He's not only a chef, but also an entertainer, a counselor, and, when necessary, a weatherman ("Good for sea bass today, I can feel it in my knee.") The calamari? So tender that I briefly thought they'd taken a sabbatical in the Maldives. The salmon? So juicy, I wanted to adopt it. And the best part: Instead of caviar, you get çay on the house. Man of honor!

The food and friendly service were great. Less pleasant was the owner's unfriendly welcome, and we had to stand outside in the rain for 20 minutes because we were early. He could have offered us a seat and a drink earlier. Normally, this place is a no-go.

This is a prime example of fake " fine dining" without any real skill or technique. Flashy Churchill plates and stuffy ambiance made to disguise sub par ingredients and inadequately prepared food. We started off with the prawns. The sauce was very nice..creamy, slightly spicy and seasoned just right, the prawns were standard frozen Argentinian red prawns that most restaurants use (the logic of buying frozen shrimp while being less than 100km from the north sea is beyond me) . Definitely not overcooked but a bit chewy as a consequence of the freezing. A promising start nonetheless. We ordered 2 mixed grill fish plates which lacked imagination and were utterly bland and boring, zero salt..zero pepper.The skin was soggy which isn't really acceptable for a restaurant specialized in fish cookery? Mashed potatoes were lumpy and dense and the mangold (chard) completely unseasoned. What a shame

The restaurant and its owner impressed us across the board and exceeded my wife's and my expectations. It's beautifully decorated, and attention to detail is evident. Our food was exceptionally delicious and beautifully presented. The owner and his wife looked after us with great care. We visited Liman Restaurant for dinner! The people gave us warm welcome. We took a bottle of wine, the mixed plates with seafood and fish and of course dessert. Everything was delicious! It is not located in the center but definitely worths a visit!! Thank you!

Really delicious fish dishes and very nice, familiar service. I think it's a tiny bit too cramped in the dining room - the staff almost falls over the seating and you sit really close together. It's still comfortable, but maybe. one less table would do the trick...

Stylish restaurant with exciting cuisine. The ceviche with passion fruit was very spicy – ​​just right for my taste and wonderfully fresh. The fish plate with truffle baumkuchen was solid but without a lasting impression. The couscous salad with octopus was well balanced, but the octopus was a little lacking in taste. The service was top – especially our waiter: smart, quick-witted and very attentive. All in all, a pleasant visit, even if the price-performance ratio has room for improvement.

We order the course dinner but the 3tier presentation for the respective course was nice but not practicable as the food gets cold while we take time to finish. Would prefer the conventional way of serving. Appertiser; tuna tartare was good . Oyster was not clean well as it was still sandy. For the main, tuna and salmon was a bit dry. Dessert :Tiramisu was good .

The restaurant is very stylish, discreet and beautifully decorated. I really like the simple colors. Pleasant music is playing in the background. Here you are warmly welcomed and immediately feel at home. I was blown away not only by the food consisting of fish specialties and seafood, but also by the really great service. The service was charming, quick, attentive and rocked almost everything on its own. In addition, all questions could be answered and the service knew exactly what was being served. Casual fine dining is totally me and we rolled home very much in love.

We ate here 9 days ago and are still thrilled. Since I am lactose intolerant due to a previous illness, it is often difficult to eat in a restaurant. Here I could choose the food and it was adapted to my needs. That doesn't happen often. It tasted excellent and the quality of the fish was excellent. The waiter was incredibly friendly and we felt well looked after.

We were there for lunch on Sunday. A very warm atmosphere awaited us, service by the boss himself, a very excellent sole chosen as the daily recommendation, with matching drinks. We had a great time in the restaurant! Gladly again 😃

Kleines Restaurant mit gutem und lockeren Service. Wir sind mit einem Lächeln begrüßt worden. Das Essen war überragend. Der Süßkartoffel Dip zum Appetit Anreger Brot war für uns eine positive Überraschung. Das Restaurant hat eine transparente aber auch hochpreisige Speisekarte, weswegen sich auch andere Gäste einfach ein Hauptgericht geteilt haben. Egal ob Vor-, Haupt- oder Nachspeise... Es war alles gut abgeschmeckt und für uns ein Gaumenfest. Gerne wieder!

Seit Jahren wollten meine Frau und ich ein Besuch bei Liman machen. Das Restaurant befinde sich in ein Gebiet wo einige von unsere liebling Restaurants auch sind. Wir waren gar nicht entäucht, tolles Ambiente, gutes Essen, aufmerksames Personal, was will Man mehr. Es ist wärmstens zu empfehlen.

Atmósfera/Aspecto: Este lugar está situado en Hamburgo, pero un poco más lejos del ajetreo y el bullicio del centro en más de una sección residencial, pero todavía más ocupado que un suburbio. Se recomienda reservar, pero siempre que vinimos aquí nunca parecía ocupado. El interior es muy moderno, elegante, contemporáneo, de lujo y relajado. Era tranquilo y simplemente hecho para un gran lugar en el que me encantaría pasar el rato. Servicio: Aparte de la comida, Alice, nuestro servidor era otra razón por la que seguíamos volviendo. Era realmente increíble. Ella era dulce, divertida, agradable, hizo grandes recomendaciones y solo tenía una personalidad adictiva. Alimentos: Hemos probado de todo, desde el filete mignon, al salmón, a la parrilla mixta, una serie de postres, pulpo, vieiras, lo que sea. Nunca fallaron. Este lugar se especializó en mariscos, de ahí su nombre y clavó cada plato. Mi esposa literalmente soñó con el salmón con espuma de guisante o lo que fuera después de la primera vez que lo comió. ¡Entonces el postre! Podría seguir y seguir, pero no lo haré ya que solo tengo tantos personajes que usar. La comida es exquisita... por eso seguimos volviendo. Valor: Es un restaurante de mariscos. Basta de decir. Va a ser caro, pero no traje y corbata - chaqueta de cena requerido tipo de caro. Trae tu billetera a pesar de todo porque vas a querer todo en el menú. Lol. Puedes adivinar mi conclusión. (Last visited 12/1/2023.) It speaks volumes of a certain restaurant when I've been to this part of the world 2 times and have eaten here 3 times. Liman truly blew us away with our first experience so we came back again and again. Here's why... Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is set in Hamburg, but a little further away from the hustle & bustle of downtown in more of a residential section, but still busier than a suburb. Reservations are recommended, but whenever we came here it never seemed busy. The inside is very modern, chic, contemporary, upscale and laid back. It was quiet and just made for a great place I would love to hang out in. Service: Apart from the food, Alice, our server was another reason we kept on coming back. She was truly amazing. She was sweet, funny, personable, made great recommendations and just had an addictive personality. Food: We've tried everything from the filet mignon, to the salmon, to the mixed grill, a series of desserts, pulpo, scallops, you name it. They never missed. This place specialized in seafood, hence its name and it nailed every single dish. My wife literally dreamt about the salmon with the pea foam or whatever it was after the first time she had it. Then the dessert! I could go on and on, but I won't since I only have so many characters to use. The food is exquisite... that's why we kept on coming back. Value: It's a seafood restaurant. Enough said. It's going to be expensive, but not suit & tie-dinner jacket required type of expensive. Bring your wallet regardless because you're going to want everything on the menu. Lol. You can guess my conclusion. Although, our friend Alice no longer works there, the food will still keep us coming back over and over to try more things on the menu every time we're in Hamburg. An all around great restaurant from the food to the ambience to the service. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The fish was delicious and of great quality. The price-performance ratio is right.

So glad I returned to this very friendly and charming neighbourhood restaurant after 10 years, only wish it had not been so long. Very attentive and jovial service and a fabulous variety of fresh fish but deciding what to have was a difficult choice! Prawns, Bouillabaisse, oysters, halibut, sea bass, tuna, salmon, sea bream, pike-perch! Very glad I opted for the prawns, they were sublime, some of the best I have experienced. Followed by a mountain of aromatic mussels all washed down with copious quantities of wine - the list much improved from my previous visit. Altogether excellent value for money and definitely worth the 20 minute bus ride from the centre(Bus 6 or 17 from around the Hauptbahnhof). Highly recommended if you enjoy fish sympathetically prepared.

8.1.25/6pm: After the opening many years ago, we were there a few times. Since then, the Liman has been closed for long periods of time due to several water damages and the subsequent renovation work. Since we were already happy about a restaurant with fish as its main focus, we decided to go there again after the current reopening. It quickly became clear that Liman was now cooking in a different league. Food, service and facilities are of a high standard. First of all, oysters: three each Fines de Claires (€15) and Gillardeau (€16) with vinaigrette, lemon and brown bread cheddar wedges. Excellent start in impressive quality. Also first of all: fish soup Liman Style (€16) - a very common bouillabaisse interpretation with lots of fish, seafood and plenty of chopped, crunchy vegetables, plus rouille with bread - very successful. Main course: Liman Deluxe (€39) recently seared tuna, sea bream, king prawn, pulpoarm, truffle tree cake on cauliflower foam - simply a poem. And crustacean ravioli (€28) with lobster foam and tarragon - a real flavor bomb. From now on we have Liman in the back of our minds when we want to eat fish in Winterhude. And we're looking forward to the first warm days, when you can enjoy fish and wine at small tables in the rushing traffic directly at Mühlenkamp.

Me alegro de haber vuelto a este restaurante de barrio muy amable y encantador después de 10 años, solo desearía que no hubiera pasado tanto tiempo. Servicio muy atento y jovial y una fabulosa variedad de pescado fresco, pero decidir qué tomar fue una elección difícil! Gambas, Bouillabaisse, ostras, fletán, lubina, atún, salmón, besugo, lucio - percha! Me alegro mucho de haber optado por los langostinos, eran sublimes, algunos de los mejores que he experimentado. Seguido de una montaña de mejillones aromáticos todos regados con abundantes cantidades de vino - la lista mucho mejoró de mi visita anterior. Excelente relación calidad-precio y sin duda vale la pena el viaje en autobús de 20 minutos desde el centro (autobús 6 o 17 de alrededor de Hauptbahnhof). Muy recomendable si disfrutas del pescado preparado simpáticamente.

I definitely recommend this restaurant! It was a nice surprise in Hamburg. The bread and the dip were quite good! Then I ate the fish and it was amazing! However the pasta disappointed a bit. The risotto and the tuna were also pleasant choices! All the dishes brought agreeably flavour mixes sensations, so it was good to try different dishes compared to the usual ones.

The food was delicious and the waiters provided unforgettable service. The restaurant is very chic and modernly decorated.

Food service and ambience was just perfect. I'd love to come back!

Very tasty fish dishes, very good catch of the day. Very nice wines. Quiet atmosphere, friendly attentive service. For non-fish eaters there is also an excellent fillet of beef. Just great.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food, nice size portions. Can be a bit noisy if there is a larger group together. Parking can be a problem, will recommend public transport bus stops almost right outside the door

Eating out at Restaurant Fisch Liman is always a great experience. The excellent dishes can actually only be surpassed by the service. Felix's service in particular contributes to a particularly pleasant evening. For me, the Liman fish restaurant in Hamburg is a real highlight of Hanseatic cuisine - and I say that after my third visit! 😊 The dishes are simply outstanding: fresh, perfectly prepared and full of flavors that will make every fish lover's heart beat faster. Here you immediately notice that quality and attention to detail come first. What makes the experience even more special is the incredibly cheerful staff. Even when a colleague was absent during my last visit, the team didn't let that get them down and remained attentive, warm and relaxed - respect! 👏 A little tip: Be sure to make a reservation, because this restaurant is no longer an insider tip and is quickly booked out. Anyone who loves top quality fresh fish will love Liman as much as I do! 🐟

Stopped there for drinks - everything was perfect from the nice reception to the service to the leaving. Pleasuring your liver in comfort with good lounge music

I was with you last weekend with my boyfriend. Just like before the water damage, it was a wonderful evening! The food and drinks were amazing! The food at Liman is very tasty, fish is really fresh and very well prepared. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy! The service is very courteous and nice, especially Michi, a Hamburg boy, who we always found particularly sweet and in a really good mood. We hope that the water damage will be repaired quickly and that we can eat delicious fish with you again.

Unfortunately the portions have become tiny. You won't really get full. Now 10 euros more expensive than in 2017. unjustified.

By far the best fish restaurant in Hamburg! We always enjoy eating here with customers, both professionally and privately, and the good quality, creative and delicious food and warm service always invite you to visit.

I had a great evening with my friends at Liman. It's really nicely decorated inside. The service is courteous and friendly. Great menu and great wine list. I had cevice and a mixed fish and seafood dish. Good quality and very tasty... if I'm in Hamburg I would come back.. Top restaurant
