We ate here 9 days ago and are still thrilled. Since I am lactose intolerant due to a previous illness, it is often difficult to eat in a restaurant. Here I could choose the food and it was adapted to my needs. That doesn't happen often. It tasted excellent and the quality of the fish was excellent. The waiter was incredibly friendly and we felt well looked after.

We were there for lunch on Sunday. A very warm atmosphere awaited us, service by the boss himself, a very excellent sole chosen as the daily recommendation, with matching drinks. We had a great time in the restaurant! Gladly again 😃

Kleines Restaurant mit gutem und lockeren Service. Wir sind mit einem Lächeln begrüßt worden. Das Essen war überragend. Der Süßkartoffel Dip zum Appetit Anreger Brot war für uns eine positive Überraschung. Das Restaurant hat eine transparente aber auch hochpreisige Speisekarte, weswegen sich auch andere Gäste einfach ein Hauptgericht geteilt haben. Egal ob Vor-, Haupt- oder Nachspeise... Es war alles gut abgeschmeckt und für uns ein Gaumenfest. Gerne wieder!

Delicious food, service attentive even when the restaurant is full, reservations advisable

Seit Jahren wollten meine Frau und ich ein Besuch bei Liman machen. Das Restaurant befinde sich in ein Gebiet wo einige von unsere liebling Restaurants auch sind. Wir waren gar nicht entäucht, tolles Ambiente, gutes Essen, aufmerksames Personal, was will Man mehr. Es ist wärmstens zu empfehlen.

Liman realmente nos dejó boquiabiertos con nuestra primera experiencia, así que volvimos una y otra vez. He aquí por qué... Atmósfera/Aspecto: Este lugar está situado en Hamburgo, pero un poco más lejos del ajetreo y el bullicio del centro en más de una sección residencial, pero todavía más ocupado que un suburbio. Se recomienda reservar, pero siempre que vinimos aquí nunca parecía ocupado. El interior es muy moderno, elegante, contemporáneo, de lujo y relajado. Era tranquilo y simplemente hecho para un gran lugar en el que me encantaría pasar el rato. Servicio: Aparte de la comida, Alice, nuestro servidor era otra razón por la que seguíamos volviendo. Era realmente increíble. Ella era dulce, divertida, agradable, hizo grandes recomendaciones y solo tenía una personalidad adictiva. Alimentos: Hemos probado de todo, desde el filete mignon, al salmón, a la parrilla mixta, una serie de postres, pulpo, vieiras, lo que sea. Nunca fallaron. Este lugar se especializó en mariscos, de ahí su nombre y clavó cada plato. Mi esposa literalmente soñó con el salmón con espuma de guisante o lo que fuera después de la primera vez que lo comió. ¡Entonces el postre! Podría seguir y seguir, pero no lo haré ya que solo tengo tantos personajes que usar. La comida es exquisita... por eso seguimos volviendo. Valor: Es un restaurante de mariscos. Basta de decir. Va a ser caro, pero no traje y corbata - chaqueta de cena requerido tipo de caro. Trae tu billetera a pesar de todo porque vas a querer todo en el menú. Lol. Puedes adivinar mi conclusión. Aunque, nuestra amiga Alice ya no trabaja allí, la comida todavía nos mantendrá volviendo una y otra vez para probar más cosas en el menú cada vez que estamos en Hamburgo. ¡Ven aquí si estás en la zona!

(Last visited 12/1/2023.) It speaks volumes of a certain restaurant when I've been to this part of the world 2 times and have eaten here 3 times. Liman truly blew us away with our first experience so we came back again and again. Here's why... Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is set in Hamburg, but a little further away from the hustle & bustle of downtown in more of a residential section, but still busier than a suburb. Reservations are recommended, but whenever we came here it never seemed busy. The inside is very modern, chic, contemporary, upscale and laid back. It was quiet and just made for a great place I would love to hang out in. Service: Apart from the food, Alice, our server was another reason we kept on coming back. She was truly amazing. She was sweet, funny, personable, made great recommendations and just had an addictive personality. Food: We've tried everything from the filet mignon, to the salmon, to the mixed grill, a series of desserts, pulpo, scallops, you name it. They never missed. This place specialized in seafood, hence its name and it nailed every single dish. My wife literally dreamt about the salmon with the pea foam or whatever it was after the first time she had it. Then the dessert! I could go on and on, but I won't since I only have so many characters to use. The food is exquisite... that's why we kept on coming back. Value: It's a seafood restaurant. Enough said. It's going to be expensive, but not suit & tie-dinner jacket required type of expensive. Bring your wallet regardless because you're going to want everything on the menu. Lol. You can guess my conclusion. Although, our friend Alice no longer works there, the food will still keep us coming back over and over to try more things on the menu every time we're in Hamburg. Make your way here if you're in the area!

Great food, very friendly and attentive service and a nice atmosphere. As a main course I had the Liman Deluxe which was an absolute culinary delight! Unreserved recommendation!

Wir waren hier zu zweit auf Empfehlung essen! Ich hatte als Vorspeise gegrillten Pulpo und als Hauptspeise Heilbutt, meine Frau hatte von der Tageskarte das Steinbeiserfilet! Alles samt der Beilagen hervorragend abgeschmeckt! Dank toller Bedienung ein super Abend! Wir werden be unserem nächsten Hamburg Besuch wieder kommen!

Great restaurant, delicious food and great service!

An all around great restaurant from the food to the ambience to the service. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The fish was delicious and of great quality. The price-performance ratio is right.

So glad I returned to this very friendly and charming neighbourhood restaurant after 10 years, only wish it had not been so long. Very attentive and jovial service and a fabulous variety of fresh fish but deciding what to have was a difficult choice! Prawns, Bouillabaisse, oysters, halibut, sea bass, tuna, salmon, sea bream, pike-perch! Very glad I opted for the prawns, they were sublime, some of the best I have experienced. Followed by a mountain of aromatic mussels all washed down with copious quantities of wine - the list much improved from my previous visit. Altogether excellent value for money and definitely worth the 20 minute bus ride from the centre(Bus 6 or 17 from around the Hauptbahnhof). Highly recommended if you enjoy fish sympathetically prepared.

8.1.25/6pm: After the opening many years ago, we were there a few times. Since then, the Liman has been closed for long periods of time due to several water damages and the subsequent renovation work. Since we were already happy about a restaurant with fish as its main focus, we decided to go there again after the current reopening. It quickly became clear that Liman was now cooking in a different league. Food, service and facilities are of a high standard. First of all, oysters: three each Fines de Claires (€15) and Gillardeau (€16) with vinaigrette, lemon and brown bread cheddar wedges. Excellent start in impressive quality. Also first of all: fish soup Liman Style (€16) - a very common bouillabaisse interpretation with lots of fish, seafood and plenty of chopped, crunchy vegetables, plus rouille with bread - very successful. Main course: Liman Deluxe (€39) recently seared tuna, sea bream, king prawn, pulpoarm, truffle tree cake on cauliflower foam - simply a poem. And crustacean ravioli (€28) with lobster foam and tarragon - a real flavor bomb. From now on we have Liman in the back of our minds when we want to eat fish in Winterhude. And we're looking forward to the first warm days, when you can enjoy fish and wine at small tables in the rushing traffic directly at Mühlenkamp.

Me alegro de haber vuelto a este restaurante de barrio muy amable y encantador después de 10 años, solo desearía que no hubiera pasado tanto tiempo. Servicio muy atento y jovial y una fabulosa variedad de pescado fresco, pero decidir qué tomar fue una elección difícil! Gambas, Bouillabaisse, ostras, fletán, lubina, atún, salmón, besugo, lucio - percha! Me alegro mucho de haber optado por los langostinos, eran sublimes, algunos de los mejores que he experimentado. Seguido de una montaña de mejillones aromáticos todos regados con abundantes cantidades de vino - la lista mucho mejoró de mi visita anterior. Excelente relación calidad-precio y sin duda vale la pena el viaje en autobús de 20 minutos desde el centro (autobús 6 o 17 de alrededor de Hauptbahnhof). Muy recomendable si disfrutas del pescado preparado simpáticamente.

Supper delicious food. Staff are nice. Our cocktail was supper delicious. They've been even flexible with the menu, I ordered a side from other dish. All and all was perfect. Highly recommended. Put on your favourite 😍 😉

I definitely recommend this restaurant! It was a nice surprise in Hamburg. The bread and the dip were quite good! Then I ate the fish and it was amazing! However the pasta disappointed a bit. The risotto and the tuna were also pleasant choices! All the dishes brought agreeably flavour mixes sensations, so it was good to try different dishes compared to the usual ones.

The food was delicious and the waiters provided unforgettable service. The restaurant is very chic and modernly decorated.

Very tasty fish dishes, very good catch of the day. Very nice wines. Quiet atmosphere, friendly attentive service. For non-fish eaters there is also an excellent fillet of beef. Just great.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food, nice size portions. Can be a bit noisy if there is a larger group together. Parking can be a problem, will recommend public transport bus stops almost right outside the door

Eating out at Restaurant Fisch Liman is always a great experience. The excellent dishes can actually only be surpassed by the service. Felix's service in particular contributes to a particularly pleasant evening. For me, the Liman fish restaurant in Hamburg is a real highlight of Hanseatic cuisine - and I say that after my third visit! 😊 The dishes are simply outstanding: fresh, perfectly prepared and full of flavors that will make every fish lover's heart beat faster. Here you immediately notice that quality and attention to detail come first. What makes the experience even more special is the incredibly cheerful staff. Even when a colleague was absent during my last visit, the team didn't let that get them down and remained attentive, warm and relaxed - respect! 👏 A little tip: Be sure to make a reservation, because this restaurant is no longer an insider tip and is quickly booked out. Anyone who loves top quality fresh fish will love Liman as much as I do! 🐟

I was with you last weekend with my boyfriend. Just like before the water damage, it was a wonderful evening! The food and drinks were amazing! The waiter with the mustache in particular enchanted our evening and accompanied us professionally, humorously and with sensitivity. Thank you for that & gladly again.

The food at Liman is very tasty, fish is really fresh and very well prepared. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy! The service is very courteous and nice, especially Michi, a Hamburg boy, who we always found particularly sweet and in a really good mood. We hope that the water damage will be repaired quickly and that we can eat delicious fish with you again.

Unfortunately the portions have become tiny. You won't really get full. Now 10 euros more expensive than in 2017. unjustified.

I had a great evening with my friends at Liman. It's really nicely decorated inside. The service is courteous and friendly. Great menu and great wine list. I had cevice and a mixed fish and seafood dish. Good quality and very tasty... if I'm in Hamburg I would come back.. Top restaurant

Very tasty prepared dishes, also beautifully presented. The prices are higher but reasonable. The service was very attentive and friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm evening - you forget that you are in Hamburg. It was almost like a vacation.

The food was very tasty and very nicely prepared. The service was OK but a bit busy. The tables were always moved a few millimeters around us. We found that disturbing. We also had two waiters, this seemed a bit disorganized. The food is a bit expensive. We wouldn't come again, even if the food was delicious.

The food was very good. The service was actually almost embarrassing... everything seemed to be intentional and not accomplished... we were served by at least five different people, one of whom knew nothing about the other. It was like a train compartment, a wild chaos and bustle. The behavior of the apparent young “boss” was particularly bad. He reprimanded colleagues while he was talking to us. Very unprofessional! We ordered an extra well-done fish. When two identical dishes came and we asked which one was the special fish, we didn't offer to cook the fish again for a few minutes, but rather the "chef" tore the 34 euro fish at the table with our cutlery without comment Was incredible!! There was no appetite to speak of!! Likewise, the request for normal mashed potatoes instead of the one with truffles had to be stated again. This wannabe atmosphere just doesn't match the service. It would be a hundred times nicer to do something “normal” but also be able to use it! And finally, we hope everyone doesn't have to use the toilet with the cardboard sliding door during their visit...

Great restaurant with amazing service, friendly staff and tasty food! We have tried 4 different main dishes and all of us were happy about the taste. A lovely detail; when we ordered a glass of wine, they still brought the bottle for us to see and taste it before pouring it. It was so kind and unusual. Definitely would love to come back!

Gehört zweifelsohne zu den Topadressen, wenn es um Fidch in Hamburg geht. Frisch, kreativ, authentisch. Da stehen Profis in der Küche. Aufmerksamer Service, gute Weinkarte, schöne Atmosphäre. Preis-Leistung auf hohem Niveau ok. Die Bewertungen von TripAdvisor und Falstaff sind gerechtfertigt.

It's a shame that the owner only greets the regular guests and that's totally noticeable. Everything else is secondary, there is no question of whether everything is good. Just not authentic! The waiter had it better and was very nice!!

The food was very tasty and the service was nice. But the wrong wine came and when we got the right one they simply brought a glass of wine which had already been poured. Own That should happen at the table first. The table in the middle is also a little uncomfortable. But everyone was very nice and we would come back.

Essen (Fischsuppe, bretonischer Heilbutt, Blumenkohlvariation) und Service waren sehr gut, wenngleich die aktuellen Preise etwas arg hoch erscheinen. Wir haben es trotzdem sehr genossen. Wir werden das Restaurant für die besonderen Gelegenheiten im Auge behalten.

It was a lovely experience to eat at liman restaurant in Hamburg.The food was amazing and you could taste the quality and different flavors that were in the recipe.The starters we had almost all of them and they were all amazing really tasteful and definitely a course that you shouldn’t miss if you go to eat there.The main courses were also fantastic their linguine were mouthwatering and the quantity was perfect.The salmon was amazing as well and the fish was also tasting really fresh and was nicely cooked.Their desserts especially the crème brûlée are a must.The staff is really kind sweet and helpful and if we ever comeback to Hamburg I am sure we will definitely visit it again .

Wieder ein wunderbarer Abend mit sehr gutem Fisch und einem herzlichen und kompetenten Kellner. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder, denn Liman Fisch ist immer ein Erlebnis. Eine Anmerkung dennoch: Bei unserem letzten Besuch kostete Liman Deluxe 36 Euro, jetzt sind es 42 Euro, plus 16 Prozent. Zum Vergleich: Die Inflation betrug 2023 insgesamt 6 Prozent, im Januar 2024 waren es 3 Prozent. Lieber Wirt, die Bundesregierung hat euch Gastronomen in der Corona-Zeit die Mehrwertsteuer reduziert und jetzt wieder auf den alten Satz zurückgeführt. Man ist euch entgegengekommen, anderen Branchen nicht. Bezahlt haben die Differenz wir STEUERZAHLER, und ihr müsst uns jetzt nicht zusätzlich ausnehmen. Bitte hört jetzt sofort auf, an der Preisspirale zu drehen. Wir kommen sonst nicht mehr. Danke.

We visited there between the years. Very nice atmosphere, great color concept. We were warmly welcomed and chose champagne from the extensive selection as an aperitif, followed by a starter and main course. Everything was super tasty. Therefore, various desserts had to round off the great evening. We say THANK YOU and would love to come back!

ALLES NEU!!! Seit ein paar Wochen ist das LIMAN wieder geöffnet. Noch schöner als zuvor erstrahlt es in neuen, angenehmen Farben. Der Eingangsbereich ist jetzt mehr Bar als zuvor. Der Service perfekt das Essen lecker.

Wow! Super Fischrestaurant! Super freundlich und schönes Ambiente. Essen fantastisch! Die Etagere war die perfekte Entscheidung, um alles auszuprobieren. Grosses Kino in Hamburg. So lecker, dass ich Fotos vergessen habe....

A great seafood restaurant with an intimate yet lively ambiance, thanks to the fresh decor & great music. Aromatic lobster bisque & perfectly fresh oysters to start, followed by beautifully prepared fish, including turbot, zander & salmon. Wine list mostly includes excellent, dry German wines. Friendly, attentive service. Lovely crème brûlée to finish. Highly recommended as a low key, high quality fish restaurant.

Also war nur einmal da gewesen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht gut, Qualität, Service, Ambiente ja gut. Aber ist nicht zu lecker und zu teuer. Würde nicht weiterempfehlen.

Das Liman überzeugt durch hervorragenden Service ohne sich anzubiedern. Das Restaurant ist cool und zeichnet sich durch eine ungezwungene Atmosphäre und super leckere Gerichte aus. Wer Fisch liebt, ist hier genau richtig - und der Pulpo hier ist mega! Wer draußen sitzt, muss allerdings mit ziemlichem Lärm vom Mühlenkamp leben.

Dieses Restaurant wurde uns vom Hotel empfohlen. Netter Fußweg dorthin an einem lauschigen Abend. Der Service ist so etwas von persönlich und hervorragend und trotzdem nicht aufdringlich. Für jeden Gast wird der richtige Ton gefunden. Die Location ist cool und es herrscht eine ungezwungene Atmosphäre. Die Gerichte sind traumhaft kreiert. Fischliebhaber finden eine phantastisch schmeckende Auswahl. Unbedingt auch die Vorspeisen essen. Das ganze Team war top, trotzdem nochmal einen extra Stern für die junge Dame, die uns bedient hat. Wir waren während unseres Aufenthaltes in Hamburg ein zweites Mal!! im „Liman“. Erwähnenswert ist noch, dass sich manche GastroSchule und Restaurant anschauen kann, wie verbindlich und persönlich Service aussehen kann, egal, ob man Stammgast oder Laufkundschaft ist.

Wer Qualität und gehobene Klasse sucht, der ist hier genau richtig. Es ist mit Abstand das beste Fischrestaurant was ich je besucht habe. Vielen Dank an das Liman Team.
