Sehr leckeres Essen und ein super netter Kellner. Trotz Nähe zum Touri Hotspot ist es bezahlbar und alle mal ein Besuch wert.

Wer in einem gemütlichen Ambiente in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Fischmarkt sehr gut zubereiteten Fisch essen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Sehr freundliche Bedienungen gibt's noch dazu. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen war wieder klasse hatte das Zanderfilet war ein bisschen wenig für den Preis hätte ich mir große Stücke gewünscht, bei den anderen war alles klasse

Platos muy comunes. Basándonos en las críticas teníamos grandes expectativas, pero nos decepcionaron. Comida muy media y básica. El precio de un plato principal de casi 40 euros ciertamente no coincide con la calidad. Como nota positiva, las camareras eran muy amables.

A beautiful, harmonious and stylish fish restaurant. We had dinner today with eight people, including two children. Had reserved. A really good and imaginative cuisine left us in the Hamburg fog after two hours, full and very satisfied!

We were guests here for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. Refreshing Hanseatic service, excellent food, a martini that you could actually call martini. We would be happy to come again.

We went in last night and wanted to ask for a table for 3 people. We would have to wait a short time, after about 5 minutes we asked politely and would have to continue waiting. After about 10 minutes I rang the bell and got the usual "hand out" jokes... to which I replied that I would even do it if I knew whether I would get a table or not... after about a total of 15 minutes of waiting and uncertainty as to whether we would get a table or not, we left voluntarily. Food remains unrated.

For over 15 years, we have had no way around the Alt Helgoländer Fischerstuben when we come to Hamburg. As always, the food and service were top! It was also very nice that our son could have a small portion of all the dishes on the main menu instead of just choosing from the children's menu.

Ate very tasty. Top quality. Service friendly and experienced. The price is a bit high but the quality is worth it. Highly recommended.

The two of us ate here today. I made the table reservation in advance via voice computer on the landline. That worked very well. The service, the food, the service, the kitchen, everything is recommended. Unfortunately I live too far away to come more often. We ate the Hamburger Pannschlag and a Spekulatius Creme Brulee. Everything perfect. Dear team, just keep it up.

This is a place, if you want to taste authentic north-german food. My wife and I ordered the Hamburg Eel Soup, "Lange Anna" and Pickled Young Herring ala Helgoland. 1. Lange Anna : Flaky texture of the fish fillets. The sauce was so smooth. The cheesy and creamy flavour profile of the sauce were perfect for cold days. The basmati rice was a superb side dish to soak up the sauce. 2. Pickled Young Herring ala Helgoland : The three different sauces were the highlights of this dish. This was an acquired taste for foreign tourists though. However, this was one of the iconic dishes of North Germany. 3. Hamburg Eel Soup : The acidic taste of the soup brightened the fishy aroma. However, the restaurant could work on taste of the eel in the future. The strong freshwater aroma, especially from the skin and fat layer of the eel pieces somewhat disturbed. Slightly bigger, more eel pieces or using smoked eels instead of the fresh one could have accentuated this dish better.

A place you like to visit! Good, personal service, very tasty food - heart, what more could you want? The photos speak for themselves, I think.

4 stars does not mean dissatisfaction - just room for improvement. The mustard sauce was exactly to my taste and deserved its name. The service was very friendly and open-minded. The food came so quickly, it was as if our minds had been read beforehand.

As the name suggests, the target group is all pensioners who probably don't finish their three beans. The portions are accordingly. Food and prices in 2025 are all well and good. But the fact that an adult (including a woman) doesn't get anywhere near full from a ridiculous portion of a €40 fish plate just doesn't fit. And it’s not nearly as “fancy” as it is to accept that. The food is okay, but again it's really nothing special and, considering the price/performance, it's an absolute failure. My first and last visit.

We were greeted very friendly and were allowed to sit down at our reserved table earlier (almost half an hour). When it came to eating, we opted for the (somewhat expensive) menu. It was really delicious, beautifully presented and with great flavor combinations. Very attentive and friendly service staff who were never intrusive. We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful culinary evening. We will be happy to come back.

We have booked a table for December 31st, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. We got there 15 minutes early, but didn't have to wait. Our table was in a corner on a platform. The waiter was a well-groomed young man with a pleasant personality and very good manner of expression. We ordered a starter and main course when he brought us the drinks. Every seat in the restaurant was occupied and yet drinks and dishes were quickly brought to the table. After we had the battered shrimp as a starter, we were already convinced of the quality. You could already taste the freshness of the ingredients here and we were looking forward to the zander fillet in the risotto bed. Here, too, there wasn't a long wait until the main course was served. The zander fillet was sensational, the skin was crispy, the fillet was juicy and tender. The risotto was creamy, the rice was al dente, the parmesan was baked and decoratively added as a cheese crust. The combination with the baked cocktail tomatoes, the Parmesan and the risotto was wonderfully seasoned. We enjoyed it very much and we would love to come back. Absolutely deserves 5 stars.

The Alt Helgoländer Fischerstuben are an institution in Hamburg. Since it opened in 1989, we have been there 2-3 times every year (we come from out of town). Sometimes alone or with friends. And we have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great. And first the service. You can change your food without any problems, no hassle at all. So we can fully recommend this restaurant. What I can also recommend: The fried shrimp with sweet and hot chili sauce.

It was a perfect Christmas dinner in the romantic wheelhouse!

Excellent place! I was here in 2018, and now again 6 years later. The service was impeccable and friendly both times, as was the food. Eel soup and herring platter was great. Lovely place to get a break from the bustle of neighbouring St. Pauli.

Fish soups were really good. We have tried eel and crab. As main course, we have tried mixed fish and pike with risotto. If I visit here next time, I wouldn't order mixed plate. Pike Perch was good.

Food very tasty. Panfish was great, mustard sauce was delicious with it. Labskaus at least the best in the last few years if not in my last 58 years 😊 The dessert was delicious, so good that the absence of the rum raisins didn't affect us. I believe the staff goes the extra mile to ensure guests have the best experience. We really liked the decor, especially our table by the window with a view of the Elbe and shipping. Parking lot (chargeable €6 for 2 hours / guarded) 2 minutes away. We'll be back in spring (at the latest) to see the outdoor area, which of course isn't used in December. I don't rate the whole thing in terms of price. Labskaus 23 € and as I said delicious. Just got the worst labskaus in Bremerhaven for €29. Price-performance fits for us!

Hermoso interior y gran personal, pero la comida no es la mejor. El schnitzel era bueno, plato de arenque muy sabroso pero tres pequeños trozos de arenque era una porción pobre , plato de pescado frito en huevo no rebozado y las gambas reales eran de goma. Lo peor de todo es un . 75 litros botella de agua tranquila es 7. 9 Euro, lo que no es aceptable - Reto a este restaurante a liderar el camino en Alemania para proporcionar agua del grifo gratis en las mesas Buena suerte.

Bediening was uit de kunst. Alert, vriendelijk en voorkomend. We hoefden om niets te vragen. Werkelijk fantastisch. Helaas was de vis van de hoofdgerechten over gaar. Dit werd door de bediening ogenblikkelijk opgepakt en resulteerde in koffie van het huis. Bediening dus super! Vis van beide gerechten minder.

When I moved to Germany, every day was full of meat dishes. As I was walking through the port city of Hamburg, I felt like eating fish for the first time in a long time, so I found a nice restaurant and went in. For lunch I tried marinated sea bream fillet. It went very well with the white wine and was delicious.

Nice fish restaurant in the heart of St Pauli, right opposite the fishing auction hall and the fish market. The food is very nicely prepared and extremely tasty. The service was very accommodating and very nice, attentive and friendly. The prices are not too high, reasonable and the selection of food is great. Highly recommended

Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich, kompetent und lustig. Ein schöner Ort für gepflegte Fischküche zum wohlfühlen. Leider mittlerweile jedoch mit Sterne Preise ohne Sterne Küche, da stimmt dann leider das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr.

We were there today and as soon as we walked in we were impressed by the staff. We had reserved in advance and they had a very nice table ready for us where our dog could lie protected under the bench. The staff served us in a smart, friendly manner in a North German way. Wonderful. Since I rarely go out to eat because I usually don't like what is offered to me, I and we were really impressed by the good food that was brought to us. The whole ambience is very well maintained and noticeably clean from the dining room to the toilets. All in all a very positive dining experience tonight.

Steamed cod with vegetables, potatoes and mustard sauce. It tasted fantastic. Fresh and perfectly prepared. The waiters are friendly and attentive.

The ambience and food cannot be topped. The service (female + male) was very attentive, friendly and very familiar. We had fun, felt good. It wasn't the last time for us. We'll be back.

I reserved a table for my girls yesterday for 6 p.m. Great ambience. Sensational service. Great menu. The table by the window with a side view of the harbor. The plaice, the crabs, the bacon, the fried potatoes and the potato salad were just perfect. Awesome. Thanks to the whole team who made the evening unforgettable for my wife.
