Very friendly staff and very good food!

Everything is just right here – atmosphere, food, service.

During our Hamburg vacation, we stayed in a nearby apartment and quickly looked for a restaurant that evening. Even though we were initially a bit unsure about the hotel+restaurant combination, we visited anyway. And we didn't regret it. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They asked the right questions at the right time. We felt very well looked after. Ultimately, a restaurant is all about the food, and here, too, we can say that everything was extremely delicious. From the rolls with butter as a small starter, which weren't included in the bill, to our salads and main courses, it couldn't have been better. That's exactly what a restaurant visit should be like. Many thanks to the team and the kitchen.

A really great hotel in a perfect location.

We stopped by spontaneously for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Delicious food made with high-quality ingredients and very friendly service.

Before I learned about the event at The Madison Hotel, I was completely unfamiliar with the hotel. Many of my friends were also interested in the BBQ evening, so I reserved a table for the 11 of us. Today was finally the day. The buffet and grill stations were set up outside. We found our table under an awning. Unfortunately, it was raining when we arrived, so I asked for a table in the restaurant in case it rained harder. Luckily, we were still able to enjoy the evening outside. The service staff was very friendly and had everything under control. The lively live music also contributed to the good mood. The buffet was, of course, constantly refilled. This meant that at no point did we feel like a dish was running out. Huge praise also goes to the kitchen; we were simply thrilled. We had such a wonderful evening here and will definitely come back again. Thank you for such a great evening.

This was my second time at THE Madison Restaurant and I once again had a lovely evening with friends. I had made a reservation in advance and ended up getting the same table, even though there had been a long time between our visits. Coincidence?! Who knows.. :-) Once we were seated, we were given the menus quickly and our chosen drinks were served promptly. The food also arrived within a good timeframe; everything looked beautifully presented and we all thought it was very tasty and well prepared. The menu as a whole sounds delicious and makes you want more. The waiter was very pleasantly attentive and unobtrusively friendly the whole time. We found the kitchen to be very good. THE Madison is worth recommending, great, we'd love to go back! Thank you very much.

At the fair on Saturday evening, as it was a bit hidden, there were still enough free places for four people. Very friendly service (no matter what hair color 😉, see other reviews). It started with garlic soup 👍 and fresh rolls with French butter 😋delicious. Then to the main course Madison Burger, Veggie Burger, Panfish and since the salmon trout was out there was Daily Wok. Everyone was very satisfied. Personally, I liked the panfish the best. The prices are absolutely reasonable for Hamburg. We would go there again 🙂.

Great offer for the week end. Love the kitchen with coffe and tea in the room! We will come back.

A mediocre experience. Meat was done and tough instead of medium. Another attempt was better but still turned out mediocre. The service handled it well, but unfortunately the kitchen really fell short. An expensive and unsatisfactory evening unfortunately

Was there for the first time. We sat outside. But I only had coffee and a spritzer and the carpaccio. Therefore, only a limited assessment has been possible so far. But everything was fine.

A great restaurant, it is actually a hotel restaurant, but I have been visiting it for almost ten years on various occasions (I have my office next door, but also with many out-of-town guests from business, friends and family). We were there recently with six people. As always, the food was delicious, the service was friendly, but sometimes a little too slow. Here too, sometimes the look that goes through you and doesn't see that you want to order something or are waiting for something. (This is, however, a worldwide phenomenon; I myself run restaurants abroad). All in all, it is and remains one of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg!

Very friendly, unpretentious and attentive service! Fast service. However, I was also there at an off-peak time, without many guests! Reservation was easy with immediate confirmation! Food was very good and hot!

Our waiter, Keshav, was absolutely brilliant and made the experience so much nicer than we expected. The restaurant is unassuming and the food is good but nothing too special. But the service was good enough to stand toe-to-toe with many Michelin star restaurants. And we came in after the theater, just half an hour before closing time which usually (understandably) does not make for a happy staff.

My review refers to the bar. Extremely good service, especially from the bartender on the evening of the Champions League final. Fast, calm and with high quality.

Were in the neighborhood as tourists. Reviews led us there and the food was really convincing. Tried burgers, vegetarian and steak. Children's special wishes were fulfilled perfectly. Recommended!

We wanted to eat something a little later (after the musical). Most of the restaurants had already closed, but here we received a very warm welcome. The atmosphere is very cozy. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Good food served in this restaurant located in an hotel. Menu is simple but friendly to all (kids, vegetarian). Meat was well cooked, the remaining is basic. Staff is nice and friendly.

We would have hoped for a little more. They seem to serve more convenience foods. The tomato soup tasted a bit artificial, the salad was carelessly prepared with a salad sauce that tasted like a finished product and the sweet and sour wok dishes were also rather banal and you didn't want to finish them. It's a shame actually.

A very nice restaurant with very nice service. The dishes are a bit more expensive and also a bit smaller than you would expect. However, there is nothing wrong with the quality.

Abrundung unseres Hotelaufenthaltes

I was a solo guest in the hotel and Hamburg was my last stop on a 6 week trip and as I was feeling a little fatigued I ate dinner in the on-site restaurant for 2 consecutive evenings. The staff was attentive and friendly offering up window seats which doesn’t always happen when eating alone. Both meals were amazing and included complimentary bread baskets. ⭐️ Thank you!

Wir haben 2 Mal im Marley gegessen. Beim ersten Mal bestellten wir Pannfisch und Teriyaki. Der Fisch war gut, das Teriyaki auch. Beim zweiten Mal bestellten wir César Salad und einen Madison Salat. Der Madison Salat war genießbar aber eher lustlos zusammengestellt und mit reichlich Dressing versehen. Der César Salad war in Dressing getränkt, völlig übersalzen und nicht genießbar. Auf unsere Beschwerde erklärte die Bedienung, dass César Salad ohnehin salzig sei, dies läge am Dressing und dem untergemischten Käse. Übersalzen sei der Salat sicher nicht. Als Ausgleich wurde meiner Frau eine Tasse Kaffee angeboten, die Sie dankend ablehnte. Es kann vorkommen, dass etwas bei der Zubereitung der Speisen schiefgeht, aber Belehrungen seitens der Bedienung sind in dieser Situation sicher fehl am Platz.

Ich war nun zum zweiten Mal im Marley`s zu Gast und habe erneut einen sehr schönen Abend erlebt, mit Freunden. Im Vorwege hatte ich eine Reservierung vorgenommen, und dabei denselben Tisch bekommen, obwohl eine längerer Zeit zwischen den Besuchen lag. Zufall?! Wer weiß.. :-) Am Tisch Platz genommen hatten wir schnell die Speisekarten und zügig wurden die gewählten Getränke serviert. Auch die Speisen kamen in einem guten Zeitrahmen, alles sah sehr schön angerichtet aus und schmeckte uns allen durchweg sehr gut, prima zubereitet. Das Speisenangebot insgesamt liest sich lecker und macht Lust auf mehr. Der Herr vom Service war die ganze Zeit sehr angenehm aufmerksam und unaufdringlich freundlich. Die Leistung der Küche haben wir als sehr gut empfunden. Das Marley`s ist eine Empfehlung wert, toll, gerne wieder! Vielen Dank.

Delicious food and good portions, not too small or too big. The small mixed salad is actually big and the vegetables are fresh and tasty. A quiet and welcoming atmosphere, and polite staff.

Impeccable waiters. Great food at really good prices (curry soup + daily meal saurcrout + espresso for 24€) Would 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Highly recommended.

Cozy atmosphere. Various choice of food, from fusion Asian, vegetarian to Western food. All look delicious and nice presentation especially Asian food. This restaurant is a part of The Madison Hotel. As a hotel restaurant it is absolute great of choice and taste. My friends ordered different kind of menus, all were delicious. Service staff was friendly but she forgot to bring the cheese for my friend until my friend told her, then she brought the cheese. I asked extra spoon but she did not come back with the spoon until my food was empty 😁 For the food, place and atmosphere i would definitely back if i visit Hamburg again.

Spontane Reservierung für ein Essen mit Freunden war kein Problem. Essen und Getränke waren gut, mein Madison-Burger sehr lecker. Besonderes Lob verdient die freundliche Bedienung.

Wir haben eine Woche lang in diesem (Hotel-)Restaurant gefrühstückt und manchen kleinen Snack / Getränk genommen. Sowohl die Speisenauswahl als auch die -Präsentation fanden wir ausgezeichnet.

Die Kellner kamen immer mal wieder vorbei um zu fragen ob alles passt und ob wir noch etwas brauchten. Sie scheuten auch keine mühe ein Tisch und stühle umzustellen damit meine frwunde und ich zusammensitzen konnten. Alles im allen eins der besten restaurants wo ich seit langem war, das essen war unglaublich gut, war schnell zubreitet und genau nach geschmack. Es ist nur weiter zu empfehlen wenn man in der nähe ist dort mal vorbei zuschauen.

When we came, there was some issue with a fridge so restaurant didn’t have almost anything from a regular menu. And food that has been served was fatty, heavy and salat fully soaked with mayo ☹️

Stopped in for a beer on their sunny terrace outside. Staff were very welcoming and were quick to ask us for another round when we were finished the previous. Nice place. Didn't have food.

I am always sceptical and wary of hotel restaurants and their captive audience but this place very much proved me wrong. A tight and simple menu offers great food at not very hotel prices and the staff are superbly attentive and friendly and if you can grab a window seat, you can very much watch the world go by as you eat. I went for one of the specials and a very crisp and well seasoned Caesar Salad. All excellent. Would totally recommend.

Das Marley‘s ist zwar ein Hotel-Restaurant, kann ich aber uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Service, Freundlich- und Schnelligkeit des Teams waren ausgezeichnet. Wir wurden sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen recht groß. Somit gibt es auch für das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis volle 5 Sterne. Wir kommen bei einem unserer nächsten Hamburgaufenthalte sicher wieder.

Lecker, nett, wechselnde Wok Gerichte

Die Kellnerin mit den grauen kurzen Haaren ist extrem unfreundlich. Man wird nicht begrüßt und bekommt ständig böse blicke von ihr, sodass man sich sehr unwohl fühlt im Restaurant. Die eigenen Kollegen und Kolleginnen schnauzt sie auch in Anwesenheit der Gäste an. Das Restaurant an sich und die Kollegen dort sind super, nur leider macht die Dame den Besuch ins Marleys eher unangenehm.

Marley´s is the restaurant of Hotel Madison, a smaller but very nice hotel in the city center of Hamburg. We stopped by for a casual lunch on a Sunday afternoon and were positively surprised. You can enter the restaurant either from the hotel, or from a separate entrance closer to the corner of the building. The restaurant is very bright and clean and the tables are at a decent distance from each other so you can have some privacy. The staff is very friendly - our waitress was excellent. Friendly and accommodating, and always had a smile on her face. She also gave advice regarding the menu. We decided to eat the wok of the day, Rothbarsch with sweet and sour vegetables and rice. We were very pleased with the choice. The fish was perfectly prepared, and wasn‘t submerged in the vegetables or sauce, but was nice and crisp. The prices are a bit above average, but not excessively. For the quality of the food we found the price quite reasonable. We were very pleased with our visit to Marley‘s, and we will come back again. Sowohl das Abendessen als auch das Frühstück war super. Zum Frühstück konnte man frische Pancakes oder Omelett bekommen. War im Preis inbegriffen. Sehr nette Bedienung, toller Service! Vor allem der Kellner am Abend war für einen Spaß immer zu haben. Das Essen war frisch und sehr lecker. Es gab Steaks und ein Wok Gericht. Das Restaurant ist auch ohne Hotel Aufenthalt auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Die Karte ist ausgewogen und die Preise sind für ein Hotelrestaurant spitzenmäßig. Für Kindergerichte um die 5 EURO gibt es sonst fast nirgendwo.

Wir waren im Hotel Madison und haben das Frühstücksbuffet im Marleys gebucht. Ein super Frühstück. Der Service vom Personal ist einwandfrei und man kann zwischen verschiedenen Brötchen und Aufschnitt wählen. Rührei,Omelett,Spiegelei werden frisch auf Bestellung zu bereitet. Ich kann dad Buffet nur weiterempfehlen

Wir haben uns zwei Abende hintereinander in unserem Hotelzimmer aus dem Restaurant verpflegt. Was soll ich sagen: der Fisch war frisch, die Wartezeit ok, das Essen war heiss, die Preise angemessen - nichts zu meckern!

Wir hatten zu dritt ein sehr gutes mehrgängiges Weihnachtsessen. Zweimal das vorgeschlagene Weihnachtsmenü und einmal eine eigene Zusammenstellung. Die Gänge wurden gleichzeitig in sehr guter Qualität serviert. Das Restaurant war an Heiligabend scheinbar ausgebucht, nicht ohne Grund und mit viel Stammkundschaft. Trotzdem gab es nur angemessene Wartezeiten. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und um alle Gäste bemüht. Ein schöner Abend, gerne wieder.
