Cozy, good food, friendly service, just to feel good!

The ambiance inside is great. Unfortunately, the outside is very lackluster. The food is excellent. Truly tasty and fresh. The service, however, is the clear downside. Even my attempt to call in the evening (during peak season) to make a reservation was rudely dismissed – I was told to call again the next day. And then, he hung up. I managed to get a reservation after all, and we experienced the service on site with a small group. Unfortunately, it was very rude, rude, inattentive, and incredibly unfriendly. A real shame. I can't recommend it, and I won't be coming back.

We waited over an hour for food until we were told that there was no more schnitzel or potato products. After another hour and independent inquiries, the dish we chose was not available again. It's very unprofessional and that just doesn't work. We will definitely not be coming back. It's a shame because the beer is very tasty.

Down-to-earth food restaurant with really great German cuisine and a very large selection of beer. A little louder when it's full, but you can still have a conversation.

The food is homemade and super delicious. The portions are large, so you'll be full. The staff (especially Matze, employee of the month) is hospitable and easy-going. Always happy.

We were seated and then we were ignored by the service for half an hour. When I then asked one of the service staff in a nice and friendly manner, I was insulted: "We have more guests, someone will come."... Well, no one came! 10 minutes later, guests next to us ordered something and I actively asked again. Beer was tasty, service was terrible.

There is something for everyone. The portions are also variable. I would have loved to be a tester, especially since I know the 5 star kitchen and know what quality we are talking about here. Asparagus and fish & chips were delicious. The waiter seemed a bit inexperienced, but was also very nice. Clear recommendation.

Best beer food in the neighborhood

The service was perfect, the food was great - an outstanding burger - the Pilsner was tasty, the espresso was great. Again and again!

Caesar's salad is delicious and fresh. The sauce is very spicy. The bread with chanterelles was also very tasty and visually appetizing. Overall, a good restaurant where you can eat in a relaxed manner at good prices. We paid around €47 for 2 dishes and 2 soft drinks. Dr service is nice and very attentive. Thank you, we will come again. UPDATE We were really looking forward to the Caesar salad. The salad was nice and fresh and the dressing was tasty, although a little too salty. What disappointed us: Instead of fried chicken fillets like before, this time there were breaded chicken sticks - probably frozen goods. Unfortunately, this seems much cheaper and doesn't fit with the otherwise good impression. Too bad. The bread with goat cheese was really great!

We were at Birdland in the evening and wanted to go out for a nice meal beforehand. We came across this restaurant by chance - and will definitely come back. The dinner was very tasty, the service was super nice and quick, and the atmosphere was very appealing. Parking around it is of course very difficult, but doable with a little patience.

A group of 16 people stayed at the LOKAL. The menu has a good selection. From kale to currywurst. The portions were large enough. Good craftsmanship from the kitchen. And a great councilman! The service... I'm glad there are still people who do the job. With friends again.

Good German food. Portions more than sufficient, but not very cheap (especially drinks). You can also easily stop there with a larger group, there were six of us there.

A very nice restaurant, very tasty food but unfortunately I have experienced unfriendly and annoyed staff several times, even when there wasn't that much going on, which is a shame, doesn't feel good.

Our visit to the restaurant was great when we were there on October 27th. The service staff/waiters were great and friendly. Food and drink was great and tasty and the price-performance ratio was also great there. And the atmosphere was great too. Wishes were also fulfilled if you had them.

The restaurant is great every time! The atmosphere and the friendly (but also funny) service alone promise a successful evening. By a very pleasant "coincidence" I ended up in "Das Lokal" - and although it's not necessarily around the corner, it will become one of my regular addresses in the future. Because everything is just right here. Ambience, service and especially food and drinks. You immediately feel comfortable, no matter where you sit. The menu combines home cooking with a modern touch. There are striking dishes and also a large selection of meat-free versions. The service is outstanding and as a beer drinker you get your money's worth with eleven (!) taps and also short-term (exotic) varieties on offer. Tammo and his team are extremely attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right. Truly a little gem. Keep it up! Surprisingly good espresso martini!

Beer great, service ok (if you actively request it), food unfortunately run of the mill system catering. The entire plate consists of convenience goods and the prices are almost exorbitant. There was a pungent, greasy smell in the back shop and the men's toilets. Too bad!

A very nice restaurant! We sat next to the fireplace and had a view of the fireplace corner, where you really feel like you're sitting at Muddi's - thumbs up! The service was great, very nice and attentive. For dinner I had meatballs like Muddi's, I have to say it wasn't quite like Muddi's... Muddi's (forgive me) didn't prepare it quite as nicely, it was world class! My husband also had fish & chips which was very tasty! Nice German cuisine. We can only recommend it!

We felt completely comfortable and welcome. Overall, “Das Lokal” offers a breakfast experience that you won’t quickly forget. The small restaurant exudes the charm of a cozy pub/restaurant from the 60s. It simply invites you to stay. After we had chosen a main course from the menu (unfortunately there are no starters and/or soups), they arrived a short time later. Unfortunately, a loaf of bread that was ordered in advance was forgotten. The four main courses were very tasty and prepared and served with love. So, the food here is definitely recommended. Even if you don't expect good service, unfortunately it is subpar here. The minimum requirement for a service staff should be that they know their own menu and the products on offer. Plates were not cleared away, nor did a service staff occasionally ask whether everything was OK. And it wasn't that the place was crowded, nor that there were no staff. However, I can also confirm that the service staff were at least very polite. The pricing is simply too high for the overall performance and is not justified. Unfortunately, good cuisine cannot save bad service; the reverse might be possible. Unfortunately we will not be making another visit.

It doesn't get any better. The entire team is super friendly and sometimes jokes with the guests or has great conversations The dishes are lovingly prepared and taste amazing. For beer lovers, you can try out various regional and foreign beers. A dream pub/restaurant

Completely different from the Ratsherren Brauhaus in the Sternschanze! Like the restaurant in the Schanze too! in a quiet corner on the southern border from Hoheluft to Harvestehude. Nice, simple, rustic atmosphere, service immediately, good beer, good selection of food and also a few vegetarian and vegan alternatives.

You don't go to the Ratsherrn Lokal to eat or drink, but to have a great evening! The great ambience (cozy shop, good lighting, always the right playlist, etc.) and the waiters, who seem to be born in gastronomy, make you feel really comfortable. The draft beer is incredibly tasty and the selection and advice is also very unique. There is also “modern” home cooking, i.e. all of Grandma’s classics – but also in a contemporary veggie version. That's why you can go to the restaurant with the most diverse group of friends without thinking... everyone will find something suitable. Unfortunately there is no San Pellegrino, but the brewing water is also a good substitute and therefore, for once, there is no star deduction from the Ratsherrn Lokal :)

The restaurant offers a completely harmonious concept that combines the tradition of a brewery with a modern touch - from the menu to the drinks list to the casual, modern ambience. The vegetarian and vegan offerings are impressive both in terms of taste and quality. The prices are not low, but absolutely appropriate for the freshness, regionality and craftsmanship on offer. The range of non-alcoholic drinks is also varied and appealing. A place you like to visit.

A pleasant atmosphere and cozy restaurant that invites you to feast and linger. With a very, very funny, friendly service that has its heart and tongue in the right place. Right from the start, we recognized that we came from another federal state and asked where we came from, and we immediately felt noticed. Our service staff always had time for a funny, cheerful conversation. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented, the large selection of beer was great and the Primitive was excellent. Very tasty food with lots of vegan and vegetarian options!

In my opinion a bit over the top in terms of prices and service. The food was okay, the beer was much better, but overall it wasn't well-rounded and didn't give me the rustic feeling I associate with Ratsherrn. My opinion!

We recently had breakfast here. The background to this was my birthday. I can only recommend the restaurant. The food is great, there are meat as well as vegetarian or even vegan dishes, the atmosphere is great, you can sit outside and inside and the service is super nice and helpful. Please try the breakfast Saturday and Sunday :) It is possible since the 10th of August to get different possibilities in the morning starting at 10am. Food, Service, Atmosphere: 10 out of 10 The prices for the amount and taste of the food are completely fine. The variations of food are way bigger than in the breakfast locations all around the area. Right now i would say: a insider tip right now :)

You immediately feel at home in the restaurant. Everyone is super attentive and friendly. The food always tasted good and wishes were fulfilled. I really enjoy coming here. We spent a summery Monday evening here. There was little going on, but the service was very inattentive and we sat at the table for a long time with empty glasses. I find the prices for both the food and the drinks rather high for what is on offer. The cheese spaetzle really disappointed us! My conclusion: I'd rather go to another pub one street further...

As a neighborhood bar, I've been wanting to try out DAS LOCAL (why are you screaming like that?) for a long time. Tonight it happened and unfortunately it stays that way. There were four of us, three received their food at the same time - I was left empty-handed without comment. After 10 minutes I actively asked and after noticeable surprise and consultation with the waitress she said “they must have burned or something”. 15 more minutes of waiting and snacking with friends and finally the spaetzle came to the table. The portion was decent, but not overly large. The taste is okay for Hamburg, but there are certainly better alternatives with homemade fried onions and a side salad. But it was a shame that I had to actively ask and was only offered 1 Helbing for myself while I waited. Become more emphatic and conciliatory here. In addition, you have to inform the service yourself about your wishes; they rarely ask about your well-being. The price is too expensive and it feels more foreign than neighborly.

I live in the area and enjoy coming here despite the many options in the area! There are countless beers on tap - despite the steep prices, the restaurant is unrivaled for this reason alone. Both the interior and the terrace are great. The “new” menu is great - lots of vegan and vegetarian dishes at reasonable prices. We were also there with smaller children without any problems. Yesterday I was at the restaurant RATSHERRN - DAS LOKAL for dinner. We were greeted warmly and given a seat. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and cozy. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time to place our first order (around 20 minutes), but that wasn't too bad. I ordered the Käsespätzle and, what can I say, what I got was below average. It wasn't homemade spaetzle, which I can still forgive in Hamburg. But I'm sure there are better convenience spaetzle on the market. There was very little cheese (use good mountain cheese, it has to pull strings!) and the cream (it's best to leave it out completely) dominated. Unfortunately, the fried onions were also a convenience product. I would have been happy about a small salad with it (you have to order that separately).

Cool staff and amazing food and drinks!

I spontaneously went to the restaurant with a friend on Sunday evening and we were both very positively surprised. From the outside it seems quite dark because it's in the basement, but it's really incredibly stylishly furnished with a lot of attention to detail (council bottles as decoration & flower vases) and is really cozy and also has a lot of space if you're with one larger group would like to come. We got a seat straight away and were greeted very friendly by the service team. The service was really very good: there were recommendations and they were all very attentive but not intrusive. We could hardly decide what we wanted from the menu and decided that we would definitely have to go there more often to try our way through the menu. I had classic asparagus and my girlfriend had asparagus risotto. The portions were plentiful and tasted great too. So recommended for anyone who wants a cozy evening and even in summer you can sit wonderfully in the seats outside. We will be back definitely.
