Speechless, enchanted, thrilled, fascinated and I would have liked to have given more stars. The service speaks for itself - customer service is lived here and you can feel as soon as you open the door to the restaurant - you will be greeted by a surge of warmth. You are welcomed and feel that it is not just said - you mean it. The ambience is great, you don't need to talk about the cleanliness - perfect. And the food - it is always said that the eye eats with it - here the eye is spoiled. Every bite is a poem, the language on the plate is beautiful. The ingredients used are fresh and of the best quality. The location on Große Elbstraße is just right and the parking garage is right opposite - what more could you want.

Highly recommended for lunch. Delicious seafood, the “Appetizer Platter for 2” is the perfect starter. The service is very friendly and competent. And there are more seats on the first floor - inside & outside.

I was lucky and managed to get a spot without a reservation. The staff is really attentive and accommodating. The meal started with a lobster foam soup, which was truly a highlight of this year's culinary journey. Truly delicious. The Sylt oysters were too bland in flavor for me personally, but very fresh. I found the lobster so-so. Some of it tasted musty, but others were absolutely delicious. Overall, though, it was a taste experience in a wonderful setting with great staff. The pan-fried fish is truly the best I've had in Hamburg so far, and the pasta with lobster and lobster sauce is simply divine... I highly recommend it.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Hummer Petersen restaurant in Hamburg today and I can confidently say that it was a culinary highlight. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by an extremely warm and professional team. The employees worked hand in hand and gave the feeling that every step was perfectly coordinated. This harmonious teamwork contributed significantly to the fact that we felt like valued guests from the very first moment. The ambience of the restaurant is modern & inviting, which increased the anticipation of the upcoming menu. The menu offered a diverse selection of exquisite dishes, all made with fresh ingredients. Every bite reflected the high quality of the products, processed with great care and professionalism. We were particularly impressed by the delicious appetizer variation with various seafood specialties. The variety of flavors and the perfect preparation of each individual ingredient made this selection a real highlight. For the main course we enjoyed the freshly prepared lobster – an absolute delight! Perfectly cooked, with fine side dishes and a sophisticated sauce, this dish was a prime example of the fine art of seafood cuisine. The presentation of the food also deserves special mention. Every dish was not only an experience in terms of taste, but also perfectly prepared. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our visit. We as guests were the center of attention throughout the entire evening. The staff was always attentive without being intrusive and responded to all of our requests. This level of hospitality made our visit an unforgettable experience. In summary, I can recommend the Hummer and Petersen restaurant to anyone who values ​​excellent service, excellent food and a warm atmosphere. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

That was nothing. I really expected more. The reception was very accommodating and our jackets were taken away from us. Unfortunately, the rest was very disappointing, from the drinks (why does the Aperol taste like aniseed?, the cremant with my oysters (I didn't want rosé) to the white wine (so sour). Oysters were ok, you almost had to look for them but they were good, half the lobster was dry and the mashed potatoes, well I don't know, I had really high expectations for the price range. In the end we had to "look for" our coats ourselves, right next to the kitchen, there you don't have any nice memory in the aftermath. Then I stay with my beloved Rive or on the quay

The atmosphere is modern and cozy, the service is friendly and attentive. The dishes are perfectly prepared and offer a great taste experience. Priced on the high end, but definitely worth every penny. An ideal place for a special dinner!

Gleich zu Beginn war der Empfang so herzlich wie der ausgezeichnete Service grosses Dankeschön an die gut geschulten Mitarbeiter. Besonders toll ist auch die offene Küche, hier wird echt erstklassiger Fisch und Meeresfrüchte zubereitet. Wenn man in Hamburg ist dann auf alle Fälle Hummer Pedersen, top Qualität, hier stimmt die Preis Leistung absolut. Vor allen Dingen die Vorspeisenplatte für 2 kalt und warm war so wunderbar, ein absoluter Traumgaumen Genuss! Wir kommen wieder, danke für das tolle Essenserlebnis!

We were in the restaurant on February 8th, 2025 at 5 p.m., were greeted very nicely and given a table for two downstairs with a view of the kitchen. On my next visit I would go up to the gallery. We ordered lobster foam soup, crispy pulp, fish plates and two small mushroom, Alster water for 120€ - to be honest, the service was great, the price was more than OK and the quality, especially this great lobster soup with more than plenty of lobster, was first class. At the end we got two scoops of ice cream with "red fruit" for free because they accidentally served the main course first and then the soup. But it was excused so charmingly that we didn't care. The sound always makes the music - and of course we were happy to accept the dessert. Definitely we will come back. The map reveals a number of things that we want to test. Thank you!

Moin Folks, hier ist der Hummer-Tempel, wenn in Hamburg es irgendwo Hummer im Restaurant angeboten wird, wer liefert-Hummer Petersen- und von daher kann es aus Erfahrung nur hier Trompetengalaktisch sein👍👍👍👍👍👍 Man kann auch die erste Etage für Partys mieten, der Genuss-Hummer-Tempel und ja, es gibt auch andere Leckereien. Ist schon sehr geil🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An der Wand gibt es auch geile Ottis, viel Spasssssss, Guten Appetit und schöne Genussmomente🤩

Auch der Service verdient ein großes Lob: freundlich, aufmerksam und mit tollen Empfehlungen. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und authentisch – man merkt, dass hier echte Profis mit Leidenschaft am Werk sind. Wer Fisch und Meeresfrüchte liebt, darf sich Hummer Pedersen nicht entgehen lassen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Das Essen war wieder sehr lecker. Allerdings war es im unteren Bereich sehr kalt. Dadurch war das Erlebnis arg getrübt. Ich verstehe nicht, warum im unteren Bereich keine Heizlüfter aufgestellt werden.

Was there yesterday to celebrate my birthday, ordered delicious oysters and a 1kg lobster.. everything was on point. Service is super attentive, food selection is worth the price, quality was a 10/10. Shop is super clean and staff very well organised and polite. Will definitely go there again!

Mittlerweile hohe Preise, Qualität und Aufbereitung der Speise auf dem Teller bedauerlicherweise nicht den Preisen angepasst. Bsp. Nudeln mit Räucherlachs … kleine Nudeln auf tiefen Teller mit Löffel (!) serviert. Oder gegrillter Fisch mit Gurkensalat und Kartoffeln … Fischstücke übersichtlich, Kartoffeln dunkel gebraten .. alles sehr ölig. Gurkensalat war sehr gut.

Sehr gutes Essen. Immer zu empfehlen. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Preis Leistung ist der einzige Kritikpunkt.

TOP service - good price/performance ratio... I've been going to Hummer Pedersen for over 10 years... I also know the unobstructed view of the Elbe ;) Fresh food - deliciously prepared, no problem with "special requests" e.g. special salad dressing - I'm happy to come with visitors from out of town or if the time suits me... On Friday I'll enjoy the delicious lobster salad with cocktail sauce there again, with visitors from out of town ;) In 2024: all about chic and the prices have skyrocketed, but the portions are tasty, but smaller. Service friendly/professional... the rustic charm is unfortunately gone...

Was für ein nettes Restaurant! Wir waren das erste Mal hier und werden sicherlich wiederkommen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und durften wählen, ob wir oben oder unter sitzen möchten. Wir entschieden uns für "oben" und hatten eine wunderbaren Tisch in einer ruhigen Ecke. Das Essen war köstlich. Die Vorsuppe (Hummer) war sehr lecker und mit viel Hummereinlage. Unser Hauptgericht so frisch, wie haben dem Hummer und dem Kaisergranat noch vorher hallo gesagt (das machen wir aber nicht wieder, wegen Gewissen...) und die Creme Brulee zum Desert war der Knaller! Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder.

Nice restaurant located at the fish market. The service was very friendly and tried hard, but also a little stressed. Downstairs in the restaurant you have a great view of the open kitchen and the hard-working chefs. Unfortunately, this is also a problem; the smells then linger in all the clothes. The food was great and tasty, also plentiful. Even though I'm not a big fish fan, I found something tasty with the salmon tartare and the calamari. The creme brulee for dessert was great There are enough parking spaces around

Sehr gutes Essen, aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Preise ein wenig zu hoch, aber noch im Rahmen. Wir können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen. Die Seezunge verdient 5* - einfach Perfekt ! Mein Lieblings Champagner, Ruinard Rosé, steht auf der Karte. Wer diesen Champagner mal getrunken hat, möchte keinen anderen mehr. Bitte weiter so !

We had dinner here with 9 people. The food was really okay, but the service left a lot to be desired. When we declined to order dessert we were told our table would be reserved in 15 minutes and we had to leave. We have never experienced anything like this - very unprofessional and disappointing. We felt like we were just processed quickly. It's a shame, because the restaurant could have actually left a better overall impression.

The food was very tasty, absolutely recommended. Unfortunately, the staff seemed to be trying hard, but very stressed. The young man who served us, in particular, had a major impact on the otherwise relaxed atmosphere with his annoyed and unfriendly manner. The absolute low point was that the table was obviously very popular and we were asked to leave exactly after two hours. This happened without any time limit being communicated to us in advance online or on the phone. When the staff themselves noticed that this seemed like a dismissal, they quickly corrected the situation and asked us if we would like to order dessert. However, we no longer had any appetite for it - and it didn't seem like they really wanted us to stay any longer anyway.

Vorspeisen Hummersuppe und Gambas waren perfekt. Kabeljau und Seehecht auf Empfehlung des Service zusammen auf einer Platte serviert - einfach köstlich. Als Dessert haben wir uns eine Créme Brulee geteilt - mehr geht nicht.

Lobster Pedersen is seafood perfection. I've always wanted to try lobster and I thought, if only then. Very high quality furnishings, located directly to the fish market. Professional service included. Fish soup with different types (excellent) Lobster pasta as a main course (exquisite) Crème Brûleé with apricot ice cream (perfect finish). All in all, a dining experience that I wouldn't want to miss. But not for every day, I paid over €80 with a drink. But everything was of the highest quality. In my opinion, this is exactly the right restaurant for special occasions.

Disappointing – unfortunately not like it used to be I've been here several times and have always been very satisfied. But this time it was a bitter disappointment. The scallops were dry, the prawns were absolutely standard and the pulp was unfortunately rubbery! But what annoys me most is the opaque pricing policy. The waiter came with strange explanations, and in the end the plate cost an incredible 110 euros - without this being clearly communicated beforehand. A disappointing visit, especially compared to before. It's a shame because the restaurant once had a completely different standard.

Aus einem Imbiß wurde ein Bistro, wurde ein Restaurant. Als „Anhängsel“ des (wohl) besten Fischhändlers der Stadt, direkt am altehrwürdigen Fischmarkt, und mit eigenem Hummerbecken. Die Köche waren und sind Spitze, der Service sowieso. Mittlerweile ist die Küche kreativer, na ja, und auch etwas teurer.
