Wir waren früher bis vor 10 Jahren, als wir noch in Hamburg lebten, begeisterte Gäste des Fischereihafenrestaurants.Umso mehr wurden wir jetzt enttäuscht:wir wissen, wie frischer Steinbutt schmeckt, denn wir leben auf dem Darss, wo uns unser Fischer damit immer eine große Freude bereitet.Der Fisch, den wir zu einem Preis von fast 50 (!)€ serviert bekamen,erfüllte die Frischekriterien, die jeder Pescetarier kennt, jedenfalls mitnichten.Das „Krustentier-Ragout“bestand aus einer rosafarbenen Sauce mit einer grosszügigen Menge vollkommen geschmackloser Tiefkühl-Shrimps. Als Antwort auf unsere Kritik wurde uns von einer Servicemitarbeiterin mitgeteilt, dass gerade diese Beilage sehr gerne gewählt würde. Sehr gut schmeckte der wirklich frische Blattspinat, der zum Fisch gereicht wurde,aber daß ist in dieser Preiskategorie wohl kam ausreichend!

Ein wunderbarer Abend mit hervorragendem Essen und einem so aufmerksamen, individuellen Service der ein Abendessen zu einem besonderen Erlebnis macht. Wir haben an einem der beiden Bartische (zum Glück war nur einer belegt) den Abend verbracht und dort gegessen, weil wir beim dortigen Aperitif schon so angetan waren vom Ambiente und dem außergewöhnlichen und besonderen Service von Ricci, dass wir gar nicht mehr weg wollten und da an dem anderen Bartisch zwei Paare saßen und aßen fragten wir nach, ob wir das auch tun könnten, was zum Glück möglich war. Das Essen war vorzüglich. Hervorragend zubereitete Jakobsmuscheln, sehr feinesThunfisch Tatar (geschmacklich sehr gut) und der Steinbutt auf Krustentierschaum ein Gedicht. Gute und bezahlbare offene Weine. Ein wunderbarer Abend der uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird und ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle vor und hinter den Kulissen die daran beteiligt waren.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend mit leckerem Essen ich hatte Hummerfrikasse und sehr freundlichem Personal. Kommen gerne wieder.

Recomendado por un amigo. Situado un poco fuera de la pista, pero todavía se puede llegar en transporte público. Teníamos las ostras, vieiras y sushi / sashimi que eran todos muy frescos y deliciosos. Para la alimentación pedimos el skreifilet (bacalao) y las knuspergambas (gambas). El bacalao era increíble. Las gambas estaban en pan rallado y frito y servidas en fideos con dos salsas para mojar. Hubiera preferido que los langostinos se asaran a la parrilla. El postre era un surtido de sorbetes. El servicio fue increíble. El sumiller recomendó el Knipser riesling que era perfecto con los mariscos.

Fish and Chips no era real hecho con bateador, sino que era filete de pescado recubierto de pango. El ambiente y el personal era genial, pero el camarero jefe era arrogante.

The Fischerhafen Restaurant is certainly a traditional Hamburg institution. But if you know how fish dishes (we had sole and tuna pepper steak) are prepared in other national and international connoisseur fish restaurants, you will quickly be disappointed here. The sole was swimming in fat and the piece of tuna tasted absolutely bland. Both dishes simply lacked sophisticated seasoning! It's just expensive, solid home cooking. Given the prices quoted, I would have expected much more... The peak for me was almost 10 euros for a bottle of water! Nothing can justify this anymore. What should be emphasized is the warm friendliness of the staff.

One of Hamburgs top restaurants- a lot of attention to detail and the service is impeccable. The food is good to excellent, my tuna tatar appetizer was superb, the bouillabaisse was ok, lobster bisque very good, the sole was good, could have had more refined flavours. The Rotre Grütze was excellent.

That was fun! It all seems a bit classic, but the exciting surroundings in the harbor and the magnificent view make up for it! Very friendly staff in the family-run hotel create a warm atmosphere and the guest feels comfortable. The food: sometimes expensive (turbot!), but the taste is amazing! Plus a beautiful Chablis, an all-round perfect evening!

Now very popular with tourists. For me, it rather brings the standard down. The prices, on the other hand, are outdated. For the sole 75 euros. The one waiter with the high voice is completely outrageous. As a so-called local, I don't have to have it again.

Like every year, we booked the lobster festival with friends. What can I say, it's just wonderful. Nice friendly welcome, got the desired table by the window, great friendly and perfect service and the lobster menu was very, very tasty. We would love to come back.

Incredibly delicious food, very friendly and attentive service. Even our dog can't get enough of the "dog champagne" (water 😉 ). We always feel comfortable there and would love to come back!

I tried to reserve a table for Thursday evening today. According to a nice employee, it only ran from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. When I asked whether experience had shown that the lobster menu could be managed during this time, I was kindly told that the nice lady didn't know how quickly we would eat and that "we're not at McDonalds here". This is quite disgraceful and does not correspond to the good experiences of previous visits to this restaurant.

We felt extremely comfortable again. Our desired window seat was reserved for us. The service, as always, just perfect and the menu fantastic. Gladly again and again. The restaurant is always our highlight on a city trip to Hamburg.

The service: very friendly, quick and perfect. The food: to die for!!! Without exception: fantastically seasoned, cooked and served - great but calm cinema. The ambience: Hamburg, harbor, dignified, cozy! Thank you for this great time with you. When we are back in Hamburg we will definitely come back… with a reservation!

Excellent cuisine accompanied by attentive service

My two boys (teenagers) came to this Hamburg institution with me for the first time today because I wanted to show them Hanseatic fish gastronomy. Called this morning and reserved a table for 4 p.m. Actually everything is already taken but we get a table reserved by 6 p.m. Arrived an hour earlier and found a parking space right in front of the door. We immediately received a friendly hello and of course it was no problem to take a walk to the museum harbor. We returned shortly before 4 p.m. and were greeted warmly. The jackets go into the separate cloakroom (where else does such a service actually exist?) and then we take a quick seat at the bar until the table is set. The surprise was that we got a seat at the window with a fantastic view of the harbor (special praise for the restaurant manager who made this possible for us!) As a greeting from the kitchen we received homemade bread with a very tasty bowl of herb quark. All three of us ate the plaice with bacon and potato and cucumber salad and we were very excited. Decent portion, perfectly fried and when teenagers praise the cucumber and potato salad, then that means something. For dessert the two ate the red jelly with vanilla ice cream and vanilla sauce. For me it was just an espresso, which was also served with delicious homemade biscuits. A special highlight is the service, always warm and you just feel comfortable. So a big thank you to the entire team and they all more than deserve the 5 stars. We will definitely come back, that's what we've decided!

Fishing Harbor Restaurant - an institution in the port of Hamburg! We try to come here at least once on our HH trips. No matter whether it's lunchtime or evening, it's always worth a visit. At lunchtime you get a great menu for a “small” price. When the weather is nice it's nice to sit on the terrace, but the seats in the restaurant itself are also great! The atmosphere is simply something very special. The food is incredibly good - the best place for fish in Hamburg! The service is friendly and courteous and doesn't hesitate to have a quick chat. We would love to come back and can only recommend the restaurant!

A Hamburg institution. There is a charming vibe to it. There are many fiah dishes that yoy can choose from. The ataff are attentive and helpful. It was busy on a Monday lunch. Reservation is recommended.

Das Fischereihafenrestaurant ist eine Institution mit Tradition. Immer wieder wunderbar. Bei der Dame vom Empfang fühlt man sich wie wenn man nach Hause kommt. Die Oysterbar für den Aperitif und dann ein schöner Tisch mit Blick auf die Elbe. Dafür alleine müsste man anderswo Eintritt bezahlen. Hier bekommt man seit Jahrzehnten immer gleich bleibende hohe Qualität zu sehr angemessenen Preisen. Wie gesagt: Hier fühlt man sich wie zuhause.

The fishing harbor restaurant is an institution with tradition. Always wonderful. The lady at reception makes you feel like you're coming home. The oyster bar for the aperitif and then a nice table with a view of the Elbe. For that alone you would have to pay admission elsewhere. Here you have been getting consistently high quality at very reasonable prices for decades. As I said: you feel at home here.

A great restaurant with a special atmosphere.

I was in Hamburg with my family in the summer and was specifically looking for some good restaurant. When visiting new and old cities, I always like to visit some Michelin-starred or just a top restaurant. And unfortunately, my opinion does not always coincide with large ratings and reviewers. But in this case, this restaurant lived up to all expectations! VERY TASTY FOOD and BEAUTIFUL VIEW! We ordered two types of flounder, as well as all sorts of appetizers. Serving dishes and menus without Michelin test heaps of dishes from small portions. In fact, there is only one plate for each person, but with a LARGE portion. Sometimes it’s better to be simpler, without pathos and luxury decorations and many small dishes, but it’s very tasty and you can eat heartily with exactly what you’ve chosen. As I understand it, the key to success is very FRESH FISH and, of course, the SKILL (EXPERIENCE) of the cooks. Plus, I want to add a beautiful view and interior. We sat on a large, rather narrow veranda with a stunning view of the river (harbour). The interior has a classic design, and in the area of ​​the bar counter I found a large number of photos with famous visitors. It’s nice to be in a place where many presidents, politicians, athletes, artists have been... It’s also worth noting that the establishment is kid-friendly, not every Michelin-starred restaurant allows you to come with children. And here they prepared the food appropriately and generally treated us kindly and welcomingly! Minus the entrance, a very strange entrance along a not very wide staircase to the second floor. But perhaps all of the downsides :) Oh yes, for top restaurants, the price is very reasonable. For a family of 4 people you can easily spend 200-300 euros (without alcohol), which is not at all expensive for such establishments. In a word, I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Hamburg, and especially to fish lovers!

It's an experience. Four of us had lunch at the fishing harbor restaurant. We were warmly greeted at reception and escorted to a nice table with a great view over the harbor. The service was top and we had a great day. The lunch menu with fried prawns on olive risotto, fried pike-perch fillet on lentil vegetables and punch parfait is highly recommended. The shushi and sashimi selection was also outstanding. As a wine accompaniment we chose a Riesling from Künstler. We'd love to come back

A good opportunity to invite friends here again for an excellent meal on the occasion of my birthday and to enjoy the extremely friendly and attentive service, thank you very much. Also the friendly welcome from Mr. Kowalke. The fishing port restaurant in Hamburg is great in terms of the ambience and the location on the Elbe with a view of the harbor (see video), plus the usual top quality of the food on offer. A visit is always an experience. For me, an absolute must is the eel on scrambled eggs on baked brown bread. Of course, the service staff is also very friendly and very attentive.

Always a highlight to eat in this establishment. Although it is a large restaurant, you have the feeling of dining privately, thanks to the arrangement of the tables, the ambience and the service. Gestern Abend waren wir im Fischereihafen Restaurant Hamburg. In elegantem hanseatisch-traditionellem Ambiente samt wunderschönen Hafenblick und erstklassigen Fischgerichten. Ein wirklich sehr schönes Erlebnis mit unglaublich guter, sehr leckerer Küche und sehr aufmerksamen und sehr freundlichem Service. Wir haben hier unseren Abend (unseren Hochzeitstag) in der Oysterbar mit einem Glas Champagner begonnen, wo uns der Bar Chef, Ricci, sehr freundlich begrüßt und bedient hat. Anschließend hat uns die Dame vom Empfang, Simone, zu unserem Tisch geleitet, wo wir schon von unserem Kellner begrüßt worden sind. Für die Vorspeise hat sich meine Frau Austern „Fines de Claires“ (4,50 €/ Stück) und ich mir die Räucheraalfilets auf Kräuterrührei mit gebratenem Schwarzbrot – Signature Dish - (26,50 €) bestellt. Beides unglaublich lecker! Ganz besonders die Räucheraalfilets auf dem Kräuterrührei!  Als Hauptspeise hatten wir beide den Nordsee-Steinbutt gebraten mit Pommery-Senfsauce, Petersilienkartoffeln und Gurkensalat. Einmal als kleine Portion (54,- €) die auch für mich vollkommen gereicht hätte und einmal als große Portion (69,50 €). Unglaublich lecker!!! Und ein sehr gutes und sehr faires Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Fisch kennen und können wir. Aber so, wie dieser Steinbutt hier zubereitet wird, diese unglaublich leckere Pommery-Senfsauce, diese Petersilienkartoffeln … ein Traum! Zwischendurch kam noch Herr Kowalke, der Inhaber und Sohn des Gründers dieses sehr besonderen Restaurants, an unseren Tisch und hat uns sehr herzlich begrüßt und gefragt, ob wir mit allem zufrieden sind. Uns hat dieser Abend in diesem wunderschönen und sehr besonderen Restaurant sehr gut gefallen! Danke an das ganze Team! Wir kommen definitiv und sehr gerne wieder.

Highly recommended, top in all respects

Last night we were at the Fischerhafen Restaurant Hamburg. In an elegant, traditional Hanseatic ambience with a beautiful harbor view and first-class fish dishes. A really, really nice experience with incredibly good, very tasty cuisine and very attentive and very friendly service. We started our evening (our wedding anniversary) in the Oysterbar with a glass of champagne, where the bar boss, Ricci, greeted us very friendly and served us. The receptionist, Simone, then led us to our table, where we were greeted by our waiter. For the starter, my wife ordered oysters “Fines de Claires” (€4.50/piece) and I ordered the smoked eel fillets on herb scrambled eggs with fried black bread – signature dish - (€26.50). Both incredibly delicious! Especially the smoked eel fillets on the herb scrambled eggs!  For the main course we both had fried North Sea turbot with Pommery mustard sauce, parsley potatoes and cucumber salad. Once as a small portion (€54), which would have been enough for me, and once as a large portion (€69.50). Incredibly delicious!!! And a very good and very fair price-performance ratio. We know and can fish. But the way this turbot is prepared here, this incredibly delicious Pommery mustard sauce, these parsley potatoes... it's a dream! In between, Mr. Kowalke, the owner and son of the founder of this very special restaurant, came to our table and greeted us warmly and asked if we were happy with everything. We really enjoyed this evening in this beautiful and very special restaurant! Thanks to the whole team! We will definitely and very happily come back.

A wonderful evening in the fishing port restaurant We had the great pleasure of spending an absolutely perfect evening in the Fischerhafen Restaurant. As soon as we entered the restaurant we felt warmly welcomed. Our waiter made the evening something very special: his wine selection matched the dishes perfectly, his anecdotes and humor always made us laugh. Unfortunately, we weren't able to say thank you and say goodbye in person at the end, but we will definitely remember his commitment. The food was an absolute delight – authentic, fresh and incredibly tasty. You can tell that the cooking here is done with a lot of love and passion. We didn't even take a photo - we just went straight to eating :-) Many thanks to the team at the Fischerhafen Restaurant for this wonderful evening, which we will remember for a long time! We will definitely come back on our next visit to Hamburg.

Zur Adventszeit zieht es uns ins Fischereihafen Restsurant. Wir hatten wieder ein fantastisches Mittagessen. Wir wählten das 3- Gängemenü für € 34,00. Fantstische Vorsuppe gefolgt von Zander auf Linsen. Im Anschluß ein weihnachtliches Dessert. Alle drei Gänge waren fantastisch abgeschmeckt. Auch die Weinberatung war excelent. Bei dem netten und lustigen Servicemitarbeiter fühlten wir uns wunderbar aufgehoben. Es hat in dieser schönen Atmosphäre super Spaß gemacht. Es ist und bleibt hier immer etwas Besonderes.

We visited with a friend of ours from Einbeck. The atmosphere and location are perfect. Excellent service from well trained staff. The food was perfect, fish and lobster soup, then a plaice, gamba, and a mixed selection of fish. A perfect evening

Wenn ich meine Tochter in Hamburg besuche gehen wir regelmäßig und mit großer Freude in den Fischereihafen. Angefangen beim freundlichen Empfang, einem äußerst professionellen und umsichtigen Service hin zu einer stets hervorragenden Küche, ist es jedes Mal ein Highlight. Wir lieben die Fischgerichte und ein schönes Glas Weißwein, die Aufmerksam-und Achtsamkeit eines jeden hier. In 2 Wochen ist es wieder soweit, meine Tochter freut sich schon auf ihr „Finale“, ein Sorbet mit Wodka aufgegossen und ich mich auf das köstlichste Mandelbuttergebäck, ein Traum!

We had dinner here with friends in the evening and were thrilled. The food was spectacularly delicious and the service was very accommodating - our condition was very young and new and it was great. As a starter we had the fishing port plate with all sorts of cold starters, two fresh and tasty Fines De Claire oysters and the bouillabaisse, which for us was more of a “normal fish soup”, but still very tasty. For the main course, the two of us shared turbot with spinach and mashed potatoes and received it directly on two plates (at no extra charge), which surprised us very positively. We had a wonderful seat by the window, which made the atmosphere perfect. The only point of criticism was a large bottle of water that was on the bill without us having it - unfortunately we didn't notice that until the next day, which led to almost €10 more in expenses (annoying, but also our mistake.) A All around successful evening in a great atmosphere and with excellent food, we would definitely come back!

A staple in Hamburg. It is a seafood restaurant with limited non seafood options. That being said. The sushi starters were amazing. The service was top notch. The atmosphere was very lively. The place has a lot of charm.

The special place in Hamburg to enjoy excellent fish. The crew is always attentive and focused on the guest, a piece of Hamburg at its best. Update 10/24 Still the special place for me in Hamburg. Because we were a large group, we had a separate room. The food was excellent. Friendly attentive service And quickly.

In my opinion, the service was a bit rustic and "clumsy". The spoon for the appetizer was thrown down, the fork fell on our pants when it was cleared away and we were allowed to pick it up from the floor and hand it over. Our starter first went to the neighboring table and if we hadn't stirred it would have gone back - those were the not so nice things of the evening. My starter of ginger soup with garnish was very, very good - I would have had a second helping. Main course salmon on kale with potatoes and a mustard sauce. The salmon was almost a bit dry for me, but tasted very tasty in combination with the kale and the mustard sauce. The dessert was again very, very good. Summary: we felt very comfortable, but last year the whole package was still down.

You definitely have to reserve a table at the Fischerhafen Restaurant in Hamburg! The service was highly professional and the food was simply first class. I particularly liked the lobster soup. There were two of us and we were able to spend a very romantic evening here. It's a shame that I didn't take more photos as I was more focused on the culinary delights. A big thank you for this lovely evening! Regarding the price point: It's upscale, but the quality definitely justifies the cost.

The hammer! Old style perfect fish dishes!

I arrived in Hamburg for the first time yesterday. Yes the weather isn't great, but the food is excellent. The two of us were here yesterday. Such a great waiter served us so professionally. I wanted to find his name on the website, but unfortunately there was no information. He would have bard, very nice smile, and a bald head. First we tried different types of oysters, then came soup. An Ingwa soup with scampi and a soup with lobster. We were so surprised at the portions but they were so concentrated and very filling. After the soup we were already full, but decided to order the main course. It was such a variety of flavors. The prawns were very fresh and tasty, the salmon was also very tender and tasty. It was simply an unforgettable evening. The food exceeded all of our expectations. The restaurant will now always remain in my heart and thoughts. If I come to Hamburg again, I'll definitely visit it ❤️

A restaurant in a class of its own. A Hamburg institution. Very, very, very tasty food with a great view over the harbor. It's a joy how wishes and little extras are handled. Namely, completely problem-free. Even the car would be reparked if the situation required it. Reservation essential!!! Our table attendant (the word waiter doesn't fit here) was perhaps a touch too friendly. Sorry for a bit of excessive politeness. At least that's how I felt. We'll definitely be back!!! Because the foamed lobster soup is addictive. Thank you Mr Kowalke. Thank you Ms. Carell. Thanks to the ENTIRE (!!!) team. It was such a beautiful experience. And -----> So delicious!!!!!!!!

During my visit to Berlin, I felt like they were my family. I loved this city very much. I hope to have friends from there. 😌 As for the restaurant, after my trip at sea, I was very hungry and we entered by chance. The food was very delicious. I love fish in all its forms.

Yes, I like that very much!!! As soon as you enter, when you go up the stairs, you can feel the tradition of this restaurant. And at the latest when you enter the venerable restaurant, you know that these enchanting places with so much charisma still exist. Some may call it “old school,” but I love it and am grateful for it. Here the waiter comes to the table as a personality, properly dressed and not in a polo and jogging pants. Thanks for that. For my taste, the ambience is timelessly elegant and would fit in any major city in the western world. Of course, the wine list is very well sorted and the menu also offers something for every taste. Everyone should be aware that the focus is on fresh fish dishes. All of the dishes were very well-crafted, without surprising us with the big aha effect. I would particularly like to highlight the lobster fricassee. That was really excellent. Hamburg really offers a lot of exciting things, but a visit here is definitely worth it.

I've eaten there several times now and have never been disappointed. Both nice and organized (and attentive) service, as well as delicious food. Especially if you're a fish fan, you'll get your money's worth here in the cozy and very high quality. Conclusion: recommended

Wir haben an der Bar mit einem Espresso-Martini begonnen, da wir ein wenig zu früh waren. Schöner Einstieg in den Abend. Später dann das Abendessen bei wirklich leckerem Essen, Service sehr freundlich und schnell.

Am 06.11.2024 war ich einmal wieder mit Freunden im Fischereihafen Restaurant. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und Kompetent. Die Getränke und Speisen waren, wie immer, ausgezeichnet, sehr gut gekocht und sehr schön angerichtet. Das Hummerfrikassee, die irischen Felsenaustern und natürlich auch die Seezunge sowie die Rote Grütze und die Creme Brülee sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Getränke haben das Abendessen und den Abend wunderbar abgerundet. Ich bin immer einmal wieder innerhalb von ca. 45 Jahren im Fischereihafen Restaurant gewesen. Die Qualität und das Angebot waren stets vorzüglich und hat auch meine Gäste sehr überzeugt. Ich komme mit Sicherheit sehr gern wieder. High quality food comes at a price. You don't regret it if you're willing to spend a little more on food for a special occasion. Above average in terms of appearance and taste. Cozy maritime atmosphere. Staff friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Reservation is necessary!

As always, it was super tasty in a great and, above all, super nice atmosphere with a view of the water. It couldn't be better.

The restaurant has such a beautiful maritime atmosphere, the service is courteous and so friendly, simply correct but relaxed. The dishes are outstanding, simply second to none. And everything at lunchtime is not expensive… We are always thrilled 🤩

There were four of us there. Fish dishes okay, my wife's schnitzel was too salty. The service, with one exception, was inattentive and sometimes arrogant. The wine bottle, which was kept 4 m away, was only poured after repeated requests. The prices are not appropriate for the service. I remember it much better from before. Is this traditional restaurant becoming a tourist trap and wannabe chic restaurant? Too bad!
