Great dinner on Saturday evening. Great service, which was really friendly and accommodating - please keep it that way. The same applies to the cook in the house: you can't prepare these dishes better, they're really top quality. Everything absolutely delicious. Labskaus, broiled salmon, veg. Starter, risotto or pan fish - every dish is a real treat. We'll be back! Thanks to the entire team for the lovely evening.

We were guests here as part of a company party. The restaurant in a great location leaves nothing to be desired. First class food, drinks, service, ambience all top class!

We were here with 8 people. The 4-course menu was super tasty and the wine pairing was very well coordinated. The service was excellent. The afternoon menu was made especially available for the children. Fish and chips. An absolute recommendation for young and old.

My first address when it comes to fish! Very good and nice staff. Good wine selection. Highly recommended! Today it is December 25th, 2022 and we were once again in our favorite fish restaurant. As expected, we were once again not disappointed 😃. Here are a few pictures.

Das **Sommer-Schlemmermenü im "Zum alten Lotsenhaus"** in Hamburg bot solide Kost, jedoch ohne besondere Highlights oder Überraschungen. Das Steinbeißerfilet enttäuschte etwas und war eher durchschnittlich. Besonders gut gelungen hingegen waren die Ceviche und die Rote Beete-Gazpacho, die durch frische Zutaten und kräftige Aromen überzeugen konnten. Der Abschluss mit der Orangen Panna-Cotta war optisch schön angerichtet. Positiv hervorzuheben ist das freundliche Personal und die Lage, das den Abend angenehm gestaltete. Alles in allem ein nettes Erlebnis, wenn auch ohne besondere kulinarische Höhen.

(I was there on a Saturday evening, and I admire the team that served the rushing masses...that can be taken literally..... in a friendly, polite and courteous manner!) Hatten zum 70. Geburtstag einen Tisch für das Sommer Schlemmer Menue im Restaurant reserviert, was auch nach telefonischer Rückfrage bestätigt wurde. Hatten uns auf ein gediegenes Ambiente für diesen besonderen Anlass gefreut. Um so überraschter waren wir, als wir dort ankamen und man uns einen Tisch im Garten zuwies mit der Begründung, dass es eine geschlossene Veranstaltung gäbe und deshalb im Restaurant kein Platz wäre. Informiert wurden wir über diese Änderung nicht. Sonst hätten wir ein anderes Restaurant für den Tag gewählt. Die Bedienung wurde dann auch noch sehr patzig, als wir auf Nachfrage, ob wir zum Menue die Weinbegleitung wünschen, ablehnten. Es wurde nicht gefragt ob wir trotzdem die Getränkekarte wünschen. Die kam erst auf unsere Nachfrage. Zum Menue müssen wir leider sagen, Vorspeise und Zwischengang waren geschmacklich einfach nur fade, völlig ohne Salz gekocht und in Limettensaft ertränkt. Das Steinbeisserfilet war unter einer Bröselmasse begraben und so lange gebraten worden, dass es nur trocken war. Auch hier fehlte von Salz jede Spur. Unser Fazit: eine weiterer Besuch lohnt sich leider nicht.

Im Rahmen des Hamburger Schlemmersommers, waren wir gestern im alten Lotsenhaus, vier Gänge für gut 50 Euro pro Person. Alle vier Gänge waren von guter Qualität, es fehlte mir jedoch etwas, wo man dann sagt " Wow, richtig geil, wie kreativ". Die Weinbegleitung war durchwachsen. Der Rose zum Steinbeißerfilet war perfekt. Der Riesling zur roten Beete Gazpachio eher nicht so. Die Location ist sehr positiv hervorzuheben, richtig großartig.

On Saturday I celebrated a big birthday in the Old Pilot House. I would give it a sixth star because it was perfect from start to finish. I would particularly like to highlight the wonderful service, whose attentive and friendly manner really made the evening an experience. Starting from the first conversations a few weeks before until the last minute A1!!! The food is a dream and the ambience cannot be topped. Many thanks to the entire Lotsenhaus team!!

The food was good; the location is the reason for the repeated spontaneous visit. The female The service staff that evening was very courteous and stress-resistant, which relaxed us. I would have believed that the male waitress would have handled the loud person at the next table better.

It was busy and the service was reaching its limits. We always had to wait a long time for drinks etc. The rissotto was a lukewarm, dry mountain of rice. The others had good food.

Good regional cuisine refined in restaurant style. An example - the Labskaus does not come as one. The components are nicely draped so that you can decide for yourself what you mix and how 😅

We eat at the Old Pilot House several times a year. Great view of the Elbe and harbor from the terrace. The restaurant is cozy, but has a bit of light. Always very attentive service. Fish dishes and wine always taste good. On the beach side, the pilot house also has a terrace with a small map. It's also a great place to sit and eat or just have a drink. Unfortunately very little vegetarian selection.

This is the second time we have hosted a larger party in the pilot house. Service, food and ambience leave nothing to be desired - it is a great location that guarantees a high level of quality!

Every time friends or family come to Hamburg, I bring them to this place, the food is always very fresh and delicious and the staff do their best for us! And not to forget a perfect view! Recommended!

Even late in the evening you could get something to eat, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Joke on the side: You couldn't order asparagus anymore because the hollandaise sauce was "out". You have to imagine that... - nevertheless, our fish plate was very tasty.

Very nicely furnished and covered. Great view of the Elbe. Many outdoor spaces, sheltered in the upper area. Dishes very good. My highlight was actually the warm bacon potato salad with cucumber. I didn't know him that way. Very tasty👍

Wow! A service person who doesn't spend all the time on his cell phone when ordering. I haven't experienced that in a long time. It's not a problem if you've forgotten something. I asked again briefly and then we moved on. The food is simply very good. There's no need to say that at all!!

We enjoyed a great evening. Praise to our waitress, who served us in a friendly and very professional manner. She responded wonderfully to our wishes and especially to my wife's intolerances. Further praise for the kitchen. The dishes were very, very tasty and prepared to perfection. My wife still raves about the beef fillet. And I think the prices are very fair. All in all, a very successful evening and we will be happy to come back.

Zufällig montags abends im Restaurant gelandet. Das Essen war durchweg in Ordnung - keine Extravaganz, aber frisch und schnell zubereitet. Das Restaurant ist sauber, aber zu aufgeräumt. Die Kundschaft obere Mittelschicht. Entsprechendes Flair herrschte in dem Laden. Gut, dass die Bedienung, die sehr professionell gewesen ist, etwas mehr Lockerheit mitgebracht hat.

The location is good, the service is a disgrace. Even if you have a bad day, you should remain professional, especially when it comes to prices. We ordered cocoa with cream, which was brought without cream and tasted very watery. We pointed this out to the waitress. She started arguing with us and became extremely mushy. She brought us both cocoa that was way too full and overflowed on all sides. It seemed extra. You don't do that.

The ambience is really great and the location of the restaurant is ideal. We had high expectations, but were unfortunately very disappointed by the extremely poor service. You can't beat that in terms of unfriendliness!!!!!!!

We asked where we could drink coffee in this area. But even though it was 6 in the evening, we had difficulty finding a place. Is it a special event for Fridays? I do not know. It was fun to drink our coffee towards sunset. Since we didn't have much time, we couldn't enjoy the conversation much; but we liked the place. White color was predominantly used. The wall decorations on the tables are also in white tones. Service and service could have been better. Does it have parking? I don't know about that; but I guess not. Would I go to this place again? I think of course you can go. The cappuccino is nice. You can try it too. Stay well.

We went here for dinner with a larger group. The food was absolutely top. One waitress was on the ball and very friendly. The other one was unfortunately the complete opposite, she was annoyed and then refused to be called for drinks, which we didn't think was very professional.

It was my first time here, my club had invited people, the menu selection was clearer than expected at first impression, but when I decided on my three courses I was excited. Despite the large group, all the dishes came to the table at the same time, which I thought was great. Everything tasted very good to me, I would have liked to lick the plate... But well, I still have a bit of behavior. The meat was cooked to perfection, the side dishes were simple but so cleverly seasoned that it was a very intense experience in the mouth. I'm pretty sure that I'll come here with my wife on a date night, now I just have to convince the children's grandma to take care of the two of them. The location directly on the Elbe is certainly impressive in the summer, but now in the winter, at least for me, the location was irrelevant. Afterwards I looked at the prices on the homepage, they weren't cheap, but it would have been worth it to me.

One of the oldest inns in Hamburg is the much older Pilot's House with a beautiful view of the Elbe and the harbor.

Absolutely delicious food, also completely problem-free for allergies/intolerances. Service is very attentive & friendly. The ambience is a very successful mix of stylish, elegant and rustic, historical.

A culinary excellent New Year's Eve menu in a stylish ambience. Plus a service that offered a high standard without being intrusive. The icing on the cake is the wonderful location on the hillside in Övelgönne. It was a pleasure.

Today we were in the old pilot house again. This time on St. Martin's Day for St. Martin's Goose. The food and service was excellent. We will be back. This time we got a table upstairs, the view of the Elbe was just beautiful. Until now we didn't know that there was a first floor. The only criticism was that when we sat down we were told that the table was only available until 8 p.m. This was not communicated to me when I made the reservation by telephone, nor when I confirmed the table again yesterday.

Nettes Lokal mit direktem Einblick. Wir haben hier ein feines vorweihnachtliches Menü gehabt..

Hatten kurzfristig einen Tisch für 5 bekommen und waren begeistert von unserem Essen. Es war sehr schön und gemütlich im 1. Stock.

Herzlich in Empfangen genommen von Personal und kurz danach auch vom Chef. Da wir noch auf weitere Gäste gewartet haben, gab es zwar noch keine Karte, aber die Bedienung fragte gleich nach einem Aperatif. Das Ambiente ist herrlich gemütlich und entspannt. Wir haben uns später für das geniale Hamburg gans(z) weihnachtlich entschieden mit Weinbegleitung. Tolle Kombination von Speis und Trank. Nach rund 3 Stunden verließen wir gesättigt und zufrieden das Restaurant. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Am Tag der Feier war alles noch ein bisschen besser als geplant. Essen und Getränke perfekt. Immer die Kellnerin an unserer Seite . Wir hatten viel Freude an dem Abend.

Sehr gut gegessen und freundliche Bedienung!

Ich esse hier 1- 2 mal im Jahr Scholle und das seit 15 Jahren. In der Zeit hat sich nichts geändert außer dem Preis und auch der nur mäßig. Ich glaube, gestern war der Speckkartoffelsalat dazu zum ersten Mal warm, was bei -5° Außentemperatur eine Verbesserung ist. War lecker und ich freue mich schon auf die nächsten 15 Jahre. Parkplätze gibt's im Prinzip keine, wir kommen immer mit der Fähre, ist eh am coolsten.

Insgesamt gut und solide, aber teileise kein „Highlight“. Absolut Top waren die selbstgebackenen Brote, die vorab gereicht wurden. Kürbissuppe fand ich etwas dünn, die Fischsuppe war gut. Finkenwerder Scholle war solide, hätte ich mir aber (bei dem Preis) auf einem grösseren Teller oder besser noch vorgelegt gewünscht - so war es eher eine Herausforderung. Risotto war ebenfalls gut. Weisswein (Sauvignon) war klasse.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, nettes, aufmerksames, kompetentes Personal. Fast jeder Hamburg Besuch führt uns hier hin, weil alles einfach angenehm, lecker und ausgefallen ist.

Die Onlinereservierung wurde problemlos aktualisiert - der Applaus in der Elbphilharmonie ließ es später werden. Wir schlemmten uns durch die Speisekarte: Scholle 'Finkenwerder' (Nordseescholle!), Gurkensalat bis hin zum Gebackenen Apfelkrapfen und Crème Brûlée, nebst Milchkaffee und Latte. Nicht zu vergessen der Gruß aus der Küche bei Ankunft - das leckere Tomaten Pesto. Summa Summarum, unsere Speisen waren ausgesprochen köstlich. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich. ''Umsorgt'' -wurden wir herzlich und informativ. Selbst der Rollator-Fußweg war unkompliziert. Wir erfuhren, wie man ganz nah mit Auto ranfahren kann. Immer wieder gern...

Came here for a date with my partner while visiting Hamburg. We took the fairy from the city and it was a short walk directly from there. Absolutely worth the little trip out, the quality and taste of the food was amazing. We both felt that a comparable restaurant in city center would have cost 2 to 3 times more. Highly recommend it, we plan on going back!

Es gibt kaum einen besseren Ort, als im Lotsenhaus den Blick auf Elbe und Schiffe zu werfen und gleichzeitig sehr gut zu essen. Wir hatten das Menü mit Weinbegleitung und waren alle (fünf Personen, drei Generationen) sehr, sehr zufrieden. Der Preis für das Essen ist absolut angemessen. Den frühen Abend auf der Terrasse bei einem guten Wein zu beginnen und im Restaurant mit einem wirklich leckeren Dessert enden zu lassen, ist für uns ein Höhepunkt in Hamburg gewesen. Danke dafür dem ganzen Team!

Wir haben hier den 80. Geburtstag meiner Mutter gefeiert. Dafür hatten wir einen tollen Raum mit einer schön angerichteten langen Tafel mit Blick auf die Elbe. Super. Das Essen war sehr gut, kleine Portionen. Sehr ansprechend angerichtet und innovativ. Preislich gehoben. Der Mitarbeiter des Hauses war sehr aufmerksam und schenkte den guten Wein gerne nach.
