NEVER AGAIN!!! All expectations were exceeded! Ordering was difficult because the staff didn't know their own menu. After a while, the food was ready... and half of it was missing. The chicken tasted like something between not quite dead and maybe already alive from salmonella. When we left, the second half of our order actually arrived, 30 minutes late! An absolute disgrace for €50!

Yes, I have loved this shop for over 30 years and I can say that I have only been disappointed once with my Chrispy Chicken drumsticks because they weren't fully cooked.

Unfortunately, a huge disappointment. We fell for the allyoucaneat offer *speechless* Do your research, as the selection is limited. Without allYouCanEat, we would have gotten away with it much cheaper, because the taste wasn't that good.

You can't even pay in cash when ordering. That's the worst.

It wasn't bad. It seems a little sleepy for a Saturday lunchtime. But I'll definitely come again.

The chicken was still raw and not cooked all the way through, the spare ribs were very dry 🤮🤢 I wouldn't recommend eating there, the conditions weren't particularly nice and people were shouting the whole time, it felt like I was in Afghanistan!

What's happened at Leidls over the years? Unfortunately, I have to agree with the previous commenters. Some chicken pieces are super juicy and juicy, others are so hard they're inedible, as if they were from the day before, just briefly fried and then slipped one to every customer. The coleslaw is great, you can't complain. The ribs aren't what they used to be either.

We ate chicken pieces, wings, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw salad. Only the coleslaw salad was somewhat tasty. The chicken was too dry. The breading on the chicken pieces was completely oversalted. The mashed potatoes also tasted quite strange... what a shame. Everything used to be so delicious.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. After waiting for over 2.5 hours, our order was simply canceled without any apology or suggested solution. If there are problems, customers should at least be informed in advance and not made to wait so long. Very unprofessional – I definitely won't order from here again.

The staff is really great; despite the stress, they did a great job. The food was excellent, as always.

I find the food there delicious and the portions generous. Sometimes you have to wait a bit if you order incorrectly and they've just started preparing the next batch of chicken pieces, but I don't mind. I would recommend eating there to anyone, and the restaurant is dog-friendly.

Absolute disaster! Despite pre-ordering by phone, I waited over 45 minutes. Is this still fast food? The staff are completely overwhelmed. Apparently, my phone order didn't go through. At least my re-ordering only took 15 minutes!

Forget all the chicken vendors you're used to. Here, you'll find everything chicken-related, all in good quality. Prices are affordable. The ambiance is reminiscent of a typical American inn. The only downside: communication at the counter can sometimes be a challenge, but they always try to make everyone happy.

Well. The staff couldn't understand us at all; we had to repeat everything three times. My companion wasn't even asked if she wanted anything to eat. I ordered nine pieces of chicken, wanted nine regular ones, and got two spicy ones. I was sick inside. The waitress didn't want to change that. The washing facilities after the greasy chicken were just sad, see pictures. I've also attached a picture of my equally sad plate because I had to remove the spicy crust. Great idea, very poor service.

Ordered yesterday, my colleague has severe food poisoning, I and another friend spent half the day on the toilet today and have stomach pains. The store is absolutely not recommended. Good thing our children weren't there. Absolutely dirty store. One star is already too much. The shopkeepers in town talk their way out of something, they are unreasonable and disrespectful, which can also be heard in other comments. After I contacted the owners I was insulted and insulted in the worst possible way, what do you expect from these people - attitude to hygiene like in India. No respect for the food and the customers. I'll let the food department know that this store has to go. And the way this store deals with criticism is elementary school behavior. A 7 year old takes on more responsibility than this boss, who can even be called a boss. The main thing is to save money and hire trained professionals - this greed just affects the quality. It's a shame, but in Hanau it's slowly becoming the rule, only mass clapping is sad.

Leidls Fried Chicken, which prides itself as a 'Halal' alternative to KFC, has massively misled me and probably many others. I, and many others, were unaware that pork and alcohol were served there - even though there was no evidence that the BBQ ribs were made from pork. How can you still believe that the chicken is really halal? I have lost all trust in this restaurant and the people who work there after I unknowingly came into contact with an unclean animal. Astaghfirullah.

Hello guys, I've been to this store several times, but since they're unfriendly I don't go there anymore.😡

The last time I was there was in 2017 and I was incredibly impressed by the chicken burger. came back after 8 years so floating in memory... What happened to this store?! The waitresses obviously have no idea what they are doing. Takes forever to place a small order at the checkout and give change. The tables were all dirty, and the crumbs under the tables weren't even briefly swept away. In my opinion, the “burger bun” has absolutely nothing to do with a real burger bun but rather resembles a flatbread for a kebab... I am very disappointed and will remember the store as it was in 2017. The furnishings and design of the store are still very nice to look at.

Unbelievable, I've never experienced anything like this in my life. Simply worth it, enough to make you vomit (actually happened afterwards) Sold raw chicken, then didn't even look at it and was also unfriendly. The behavior didn't work at all, the drink was okay for €22, but they screwed up even that. Incredibly bad shop, never again in my life. I don't recommend it to anyone either. Zero like before.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my visit to this chicken fry shop. The chicken pieces were okay, but unfortunately that was about it. The boss seemed extremely stressed and overwhelmed, which made the whole atmosphere very unpleasant. He seemed to have no patience for customers and was neither friendly nor helpful. Instead, he acted rather stressed when I asked for a minor change in my order. I'm sorry but the service was really bad and that spoiled the whole visit. It seems like the store has a real problem with management. If the boss is so overwhelmed and unfriendly, you don't feel welcome as a customer. I definitely won't be coming back and unfortunately I can't recommend this store. It's a shame, because the chicken's potential isn't exhausted there, and the service is a total failure.

It's a shame, I always enjoyed visiting the store. But the unfriendly and rude manner of the employees, as well as their cheeky answers, disappointed me. See the pictures. We won't be visiting the store again for the time being.

I can only recommend Leidls! The food is great. Very nice employees. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is a bit old. But that doesn't detract from the whole thing. But it is always clean and tidy.

I've wanted to eat there since I was a child. Yesterday I was finally there with the family. Great location. I love the old school design. Just like in the States. There was a lot going on yesterday. The service was extremely overwhelmed, which he also noticed. No structure in the process, nothing. To eat …. The burgers were good. The chicken pieces and the fries were great. Well seasoned, hot and the pieces nice and crispy. The coleslaw was also very good. The spareribs looked promising. My expectations are high. Unfortunately we were disappointed. I have to say they were the worst I've ever eaten. Therefore 1 star deducted. These should be removed from the map. Tough as a leather sole, hardly any sauce on it and the taste is rather subterranean. It resembled freezer burn. We also complained about this. Unfortunately, we were only told how they were prepared and that it was normal. Although the gentleman behind the counter said he had never tried them himself. No response from the company. Too bad. Leidls should stick with chicken. Because these were very good.

Wir haben uns heute gefreut mal über "Uber Eats" Leidls Fried Chicken auszuprobieren. Leider haben sie bei einer Bestellung von vier Posten ein ganzes Menü vergessen zu liefern. Bei einem anschließendem Telefonat wurde uns versichert eine Gutschrift zu erhalten und wir gaben die Bestelldaten durch. Leider kam dort auch nichts und so bleiben wir auf knapp 15 Euro sitzen.. Das Essen war ganz okay - Chili Cheese Pommes fand ich wirklich gut, die Rips eher weniger. Das Hühnchen hat ja leider gefehlt. Zusammenfassend würde ich vor allem auch wegen der minderen Qualität an Kommunikation zunächst keine weiteren Bestellungen erwägen. PS.: Musste mir nun das Geld über Uber zurückholen, was schade ist bei der Versprechung die am Telefon gemacht wurde..

Today we were happy to try out Leidls Fried Chicken via “Uber Eats”. Unfortunately, when we ordered four items, they forgot to deliver an entire menu. During a subsequent phone call, we were assured that we would receive a credit and we gave the order details. Unfortunately nothing came there either and so we are stuck with just under 15 euros. The food was okay - I really liked the chili cheese fries, but not so much the ribs. Unfortunately the chicken was missing. In summary, I would initially not consider placing any further orders, especially because of the poor quality of communication.

The best fried chicken and hot wings outside of the USA! Anyone who eats there will also get their soft drink refilled! Really recommended!

It's deteriorated dramatically. It doesn't taste like KFC at all anymore.

Since I was a teenager, this has been my first stop when I'm craving delicious chicken. The staff is just so friendly and so welcoming, which is rare these days. I think the wings taste much better than K*C. The price/performance ratio is totally okay! The only criticism I can give is that you sometimes have to wait in line for a really long time, sometimes even outside the door... after all these years, maybe they should change that. The better KFC if you like the spicy parts. Good spiciness, good selection of parts, top breading. No matter how or when you pre-order, the employees always seem to be surprised when you pick up. Credit cards will not be accepted in 2025 either, which I consider a no-go.

Food tastes very tasty. Great weekly offers such as 6 hot wings for €3.50.

I personally like the ambiance a lot; the old seats and tables are simply old-school and remind me of my childhood. Back then, it was always very exciting for us kids when we were told: "Today we're going to Leidl's" 😊 and I'm 48 now 😉 The price-performance ratio is also right. The taste is simply Leidl's. Kudos to your coleslaw, which hasn't changed its flavor for years 🤩 And every customer should show some understanding when things are hectic and stress levels are very high. Some food was okay some not so much, but was would be fine for a quick bit of food

If there are other guests there, your order will take a long time. Hole in the bag Burger is always put in the wrong way round. Sauce still in the burger lid runs out everywhere. The takeaway cup isn't that good either.

Card payment was almost always not possible. Otherwise solid.

Unfortunately, the recipes are no longer the same as they used to be. The sauce for the puree tastes very much like it came out of the bag

Best chicken parts (hot wings) in Hanau, even the puree with the sauce cannot be compared with the big competitors...I know the shop, I was still very small back then (over 25 years old)...I still enjoy eating there today. ..when you order you usually get more than you pay for...I can only recommend it =)

Kentucky Fried Chicken in very nice. The food is delicious, but it is very warm in there.

French fries were too hard. They seemed to be 2-3 days old or something. I got stomach ache and sick after eating.

We like going there, but be careful who serves, good service is different. It's better to explain your order more often, if mistakes are made on the condition you will be insulted as to why you don't accept the food. To the owner - selecting the right staff is essential - if necessary, retrain the basics of service. Thanks

Unfortunately, the food from August 1st, 2024 was not that good. The breading on the chicken pieces was very salty and the sauce for the mashed potatoes was quite spicy.

Where is the best place to start?! Let's keep it short and sweet. If you're going to adopt a name, then you should also take the quality with it. I eat out very often and here we have a shop that is one of the worst far and wide. Maybe you should tell the “cook” that after it’s cooked, it comes out burnt! Just looking at the pictures of the people who gave the shop good reviews, you can see how dried out it is. Also based on my picture of the "onion rings". The rock biter would have a lot of fun here. Hopefully you will accept the criticism of dry eating and try to improve. By the way: if you eat warm, the food should also be warm. Which wasn't the case with 4 dishes here. A pity.

I have known the store for more than 10 years now. The food there was and is still of the same excellent quality as back then. The interior of the store has been modernized over time and offers enough space to eat there. The staff today, as back then, are super nice and accommodating. I rarely visit the store, but I enjoy it because I go there knowing that the food is delicious.

The chicken is definitely better than KFC. The breaded half chicken is super delicious 🐔 crispy and spicy. Far less fatty breading than KFC. Highly recommended.

The food is delicious and fresh, our wishes were taken into account. But the door was open and it was raining, it was cold.

I have the impression that the tenant has changed. Very dirty cutlery and the general condition in terms of cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The taste of the coleslaw was still good and the chicken pieces also tasted good, although the fries were better. Ordered “Sunday” food on site today. Fries so hard like they were 3 days old. Coleslaw was also a bit dry. ketchup was forgotten. The burger was very dry as was the cheese. And the seats are separated by an annoying metal bar, which hurts a bit. And spent almost €30 on it. Unfortunately very disappointed.

I've known the shop since I was a child. Back then, Mr. Leidl served himself. When it comes to taste, the store is second to none. But under the new management, service is unfortunately a no-go. Today I was served by a 17-year-old “curly-haired man”. I placed my order and the “curly head” typed it into the register as usual. Unfortunately, the display for the customer was switched off, so the entries could not be understood. The reference to the display being switched off only resulted in a shrug of the shoulders. A receipt was not issued either, so my advice is to check the prices beforehand. Maybe the public order office can investigate why the customer can't see what is being typed here. A 3-menu meal was ordered with 2 side dishes and 1 drink with 3 garlic dips and a spicy dip. I wanted the side dishes as chips and puree. That wasn't possible. The one side dish absolutely had to be a coleslaw. I wanted to skip the coleslaw and have fries instead. Unfortunately it didn't work. So I had to buy an extra portion of fries and throw the coleslaw in the trash. The menu board clearly states “with 2 side dishes” and not a word about forcing you to order a coleslaw. The comment was again responded to with a shrug of the shoulders. At home it turned out that instead of a spicy dip I was only given tomato ketchup and my request not to pack chicken breast was ignored. When choosing the drink, I asked if an iced tea was also possible. The answer came: “I have nothing to give away, you paid for it and you can also have an iced tea.” In what context the young man said that is a mystery to me. Perhaps it should be made clear to the young man that ultimately it is the customers who bring in the sales and that the demeanor and manners towards customers should be a little more polite/classy. I think you should be able to expect that from a 17 year old despite his young age.

Very good food - The shop is set up like a sit-down snack bar. Music in the background and trays for the table. Drinks can be refilled free of charge if you eat on site. Ami Like. We like it and the chicken is just great! No comparison with KFC is possible, there are worlds in between.

You can't complain about food, it only goes in the direction of KFC with a level up! However, when it came to service, we had to wait in line for longer despite being busy because there was a lack of temporary help. Visually I know where I'm going, but it seems a bit cramped and unfortunately when I visited the tables were dirty, as mentioned before, a temporary help would have been good.

Wenn ich Toiletten habe erwarte ich auch dass alles funktioniert. Hähnchen sind fettig und man will sich gerne die Hände waschen. Es gibt kein warmes Wasser, keine Seife, keine Handtücher. Besteck und die Becher sind schmutzig. Und dass ist merkwürdiger Weise immer das Gleiche nach mehrmaligen Zeitversetzten Besuchen. Des Weiteren ist die Bedienung bei der Bestellung unhöflich und nicht kundenorientiert/hilfsbereit. Innenausstattung ist Holzklasse, abs. Unbequem.

I had dinner with you last week and I thought it was super delicious! I ate fillet strips with mashed potatoes. Everything went really quickly… I'd love to come back.

I wanted to get 5 spare ribs today. It was around 12 p.m., normal business hours, you would think! The strange waitress just said *no one*! Yesterday Super Bowl, all sold and apparently too stupid or too lazy to go shopping in the morning! Then you have to take 3 pieces from the day before, brand * eat or die!, of course at full price! So I can really recommend Leidls, but only because of impudence or old food! But as the saying goes, punishment follows immediately! Consumer protection already switched on!

Ich komme schon seit Jahren hier her. Heute herschte dort absoluter Personal Mangel. ABER, das Personal ist trotzdem gut gelaunt. Das Essen ist sehr gut, nur der Krautsalat, ist die Nummer 1. Grins

Wir bevorzugen eindeutig Leidl zur anderen bekannten großen Kette. Wir lieben die Geflügelteile und Burger, ebenso wie die Rippchen. Allerdings waren die Rippchen das letzte Mal sehr knorpelich. Wir bestellen heute wieder unter anderem Rippchen. Ich hoffe, wir haben diesmal mehr Glück

Einer der letzten Traditionsläden in Hanau! Beste Chicken Wings weit und breit, KFC kannste vergessen im Vergleich... Die Dame Tagsüber und die beiden (junge Dame und junger Mann) vom Abend gehören zu dem Laden wie die roten Stuhlbänke... Geh dort seit ca. 30 Jahren hin... Und ja, Chicken Wings kommen nicht aus der Tiefkühltruhe sondern eben von einem Tier namens Hühnchen... Manchmal groß manchmal klein, mal fetter mal magerer aberer immer lecker... Klar sind die direkt nach dem frittieren am besten aber auch nach 30 Minuten noch lecker, oder sollen die dauernd essen wegwerfen wie bei MacDonald? Besser nein... Außerdem bekommst du hier immer wirklich immer mehr als du bestellst aufs Haus... Macht bitte für immer weiter so... Die dritte Generation Hanauer liebt euren Laden auch schon ✊🏽😀✌🏽👏🏽

Nach längerer Unterbrechung sind wir hier mal wieder eingekehrt. Das Ambiente und leider auch die Toiletten sind wohl unverändert aus den Siebzigern oder Achtzigern. Nur die Preistafel hinter der Theke wurde digitalisiert; hier werden jetzt verschiedene Texte im Wechsel angezeigt, so dass die Menüauswahl unnötig erschwert wird. Die günstigen Getränke in der Literflasche gibt es leider nicht mehr, und die Cola aus der Zapfanlage schmeckt auch beim ersten Schluck schon abgestanden (hier wird wohl an der Kohlensäure gespart). Die Pommes haben mir hier noch nie wirklich geschmeckt, aber die Hähnchenteile waren wie immer klasse: Warm, saftig und lecker. Zahlung mit Kreditkarte war leider nicht möglich, das finde ich heutzutage nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Für einen schnellen Imbiss mit frittierten Hähnchenteilen besser und günstiger als beim Marktführer, aber das Umfeld muss man ausblenden können.

Komme sehr gerne aber leider schwankt die Qualität der Chickenteile zwischen „Phantastisch“ und „schon etwas sehr trocken“. Nichtsdestotrotz ist es geschmacklich sehr gut und übertrifft die große Kette bei weitem und lässt einen gerne wieder kommen.
