La Rustica in Oberammergau

Only cash is accepted, you are told when you ask for the bill. Pizzas are ok, big size and good flavour, not expensive. We ordered two radlers and we received one radler and one normal beer. We didn't say anything, maybe it was a misunderstanding. We had a dessert which the price was 6'50€ and we were charged 7€. We didn't leave a tip obviously and we are not coming back. They tried to cheat you. We didn't say anything for 50 cents, but we're not stupid. Not recommended at all.

The pizza was great, as were the carbonara and the lasagna.

The pizza was excellent. Although I had to complain twice—I hate pizzas that are too expensive—I was served a perfect pizza. No argument, top-notch. To be fair, it was very busy, and the delivery service was also in constant mode.

After 20 years of vacationing in Oberammergau and Bad Bayersoien, today was our first time here. Fantastic! Very cozy atmosphere and a very friendly owner. Above all, very well-made stone-baked pizza with local flour. The price/performance ratio is perfect. The espresso at the end was also a highlight! We will definitely be back. After our "low-carb period"! Thank you & you, very content! 😉🍕

My first negative review. Unfriendly service, pizza bears no resemblance to what I'm used to in Italy. It's most comparable to frozen pizza. Sorry.

We (four people) spontaneously stopped by for lunch during a day trip. The service was very uncomplicated and friendly, the interior was cozy and rustic. There was no long wait, and all the pizzas were excellent! If we're ever in the area again, we know where to go.

Not a pleasant experience. The restroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The pizza tastes awful. You have to pay extra for Parmesan cheese for the Bolognese. That's not really acceptable for an Italian restaurant. The blackcurrant spritzer tasted awful too.

We ate there twice during our vacation, and both times the food was delicious. The service was relaxed and very friendly, the food came quickly, and everything was absolutely fair. The decor of the small restaurant is simple and rustic, but we loved it. Yes, it's a high-flown, fancy place, but the restaurant doesn't claim to be fancy, and we didn't either. We wanted a cozy and delicious Italian meal—and that's exactly what we got. ☺️ Delicious 😂

Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience at this restaurant. The service was unfriendly, and we had to wait an unusually long time for our food – over 45 minutes. The food itself was disappointing: served lukewarm, poorly seasoned, and the quality of the ingredients seemed substandard. Furthermore, the value for money was completely unjustified. For these prices, I expect significantly more – both in terms of taste and service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

This is terrible! :) We wanted to have lunch with Italian dishes. The place seemed pretty nice to us.... But there was one big BUT. When we ordered food, the waiter said that we MUST order more drinks, otherwise it is impossible. That these are the rules of the owner of the establishment. I am pregnant, and none of the drinks on the menu suited me. My husband wanted coffee. But there had to be 2 drinks :) What kind of stupid rules??? This is a question for the owner of the cafe. The establishment was completely empty, only the two of us. And you got rid of even these two customers because of your greed. This is very strange, absurd and unreasonable. This is the first time I have encountered such a thing, although I travel a lot. Of course we left there... to the neighboring Italian restaurant - La Montanara, where we were kindly served by the Italian owner, and deliciously fed with real Italian dishes for a reasonable price. This is a serious reason for you to think about your customer orientation.

Was looking for a place to eat for lunch. Liked this place at first when we came in. But then... taking our order the waiter said ordering a drink is a must. Otherwise no service. And we were the only two people inside (a red flag we overlooked perhaps). Of course we left. Good luck making order a drink with someone else. Wouldn't even look their way again.

The food was just barely edible, but the Lambrusco was anything but Lambrusco. The ambiance was awful; the music was way too loud. I wouldn't recommend it.

We were there for lunch with two small children. Unfortunately, there is no children's chair or a larger seat cushion to raise the height. We ordered 2 pizzas, a pasta dish and a salad. Apparently the waiter misunderstood the order and brought the wrong pizza, which unfortunately only became apparent after the first bite. The operators saw no fault on their part and therefore did not take the pizza back. The real pizza that was then delivered and the other dishes tasted good, but we had to pay for all the dishes (including the wrong one). We decided not to tip - but the waiter obviously wasn't good with numbers in general and gave us back a euro short. We left it at that. Card payment was not possible, only cash payment. Summary: + Food tastes good - Incorrectly served food had to be paid for - Not child friendly - Knife too blunt for the pizza crust - No card payment possible - Too little money given out

Absolutely awful food and rude staff. Ordered five different pizzas for the family and when we got back to the hotel they were all the same (and not one was what had been ordered)! Tried to call the restaurant but no one then answered. Ended up having to eat the pizza - base was like cardboard, the cheese was rancid and the toppings tasteless. Stay away from this restaurant. Try the Chinese in the village instead!

Very small but friendly place badly let down by very expensive drinks and very poor quality food. The 5 different Pizzas were ordered at the same time and they all were identical with dried toppings and congealed hard cheese on top of a tomato base. I had far better pizza from Lidl frozen store.

The Pizzeria La Rustica is an absolute hit! The service is super friendly and attentive, you immediately feel at home. The pizza? A dream! Juicy topping, crispy base – simply perfect. And the ambience? Really cozy, you can really relax and enjoy here. Clear recommendation for everyone!

Just wow. I've been there over 20 times now and I have to say that the waiters are just super polite. The food, bellissimo. I can simply recommend it.

Normally, I do not submit any, I stress any review. There can be good day and also bad day when simply said it's not a day D. Today, I changed my mind. But, due to bad and rude experience. The waiters were very OK, but the Chef was a horrible guy. He enters the restaurant coming to my table touching my beer and moving to another table saying: you have to change the table as I am expecting 7 pax to come. Horrible approach! This was my first and last time I visited this restaurant.

If you want to live a surreal experience, this is the place without a doubt. We ordered four dishes of pasta and garlic bread. One of the pasta dishes was spaghetti carbonara and they brought rigatoni, when we told them that they had made a mistake, they told us that the pasta was pasta and that they no longer had spaghetti and that is what they had. The bread never arrived (supposedly there wasn't any left either). The beer three quarters of the same. And the final culmination was €7 for two glasses of tap water, one recycled, they took the cola one and filled it with water. We told him that they had not brought us a bottle and the answer was that in Germany it is like that... FALSE!! It was the first time it happened to us. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

The pizza was great, the service was friendly. However, the music in the background was almost unbearable. When asked about it, the waitress said succinctly that it was an Italian station (but it didn't play Italian music but rather English rap of the worst kind and unfortunately it wasn't changed)

Horribly rude service. We were ordering a pizza for dine in and were told if we weren’t drinking as well, we couldn’t sit down. I had 2 kids with me, one in a stroller and he made us get up. We cancelled our pizza order and walked out. Take your hard earned money and business elsewhere!

Lamentable, ridiculous, these people are not professionals. Unpleasant and judgmental welcome. We are then told that drinks are obligatory to be able to eat a pizza. Absolutely no one in the restaurant and we understand why, poor quality ingredients and unpleasant staff. Don't stop here!!!!!

Very unfriendly service! You are warned very persistently that you are not allowed to eat, even expensive dishes, if you don't drink something. The restaurant is empty most of the time, not a guest... No wonder with such guest treatment!

Super delicious pizza - all the employees are very friendly and sometimes even sing Italian songs at the end of the day. Ideally you should take the pizza to go as there is only a limited amount of seating available on site. The pizza is highly recommended.

The worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. A group of six people had a coffee and when one of the group wanted to go to the bathroom the owner became aggressive and shouted, claiming that it was only for customers who consumed food...then he apologized to us. I have not been able to eat the food but I have been able to smell it... Honestly the smell was not inviting... Better treatment of the clientele would be appreciated, thank you very much

True Italian! Good and soft pizza

My husband and I went one evening at the beginning of the year to eat a pizza. At the entrance, without even returning our greeting, a person emerges from the kitchen who arrogantly and rudely tells us that there are no seats. The place was practically empty. I highly recommend this pizzeria.

Leckere Pizza, gut belegt, auch die Rigatoni mit 4 Käse-Sauce sind sehr zu empfehlen. Prompter Service, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt. Die schlechten Rezensionen kann ich nicht bestätigen: Wir waren diese Woche bereits 2x hier und waren sehr zufrieden. Wenn wir hier in der Nähe sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.

Die Pizza konnte man essen, aber das Personal ist mehr als unfreundlich. Die Leute an unserem Nachbartisch wurden zum gehen aufgefordert, weil sie nur was zum Essen bestellt haben und nichts zum trinken. Italienische Gastfreundschaft sieht für mich anders aus.

Wer eine super Pizza zum mitnehmen sucht, ist hier richtig. Nette Italienische Inhaber, leckere Pizza: authentisch frisch und preiswert. Im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen. Das Ambiente ist aber nicht besonders.

Vorhin haben wir eine Pizza und ein Tiramisu mitgenommen. Beides hat so megageil geschmeckt…unverständlich, warum La Rustica nicht die volle Bewertungspunkte hat. Die Pizza hatte genau die Konsistenz, wie eine italienische Pizza sein muss (unsere Meinung). Der Geschmack war grandios 😋. Das Tiramisu zum Reinlegen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr gute Pizza, dünne leckere Boden und reichlich belegt. Bedienung schnell und freundlich. Der "Hausgemachte pasta mit Muscheln und meeresfrüchten" war ziemlich al dente und etwas versalzen. Sonst alles ok und empfehlenswert

wir hatten fürs Mittagessen von der Arbeit aus eine grosse Bestellung, war soweit auch ok aber die Cannelloni waren ein Witz! 4 st. für über 10 Euro.. das war das erste und letzte mal, saftige Preise für kleines Essen.

Waren gerade dort uns haben und zwei 'La Rustica's con Aglio' abgeholt - Wahnsinns Pizza! Die Pizzen von La Rustica ist absolut zu empfehlen!
