Küchenschelle in Freiburg im Breisgau

This year, we had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding with Gesine and her wonderful team. Both during the preparation/planning and during the celebration, Gesine was always available to provide us with great ideas and suggestions. The decorations and the entire grounds of the Küchenschelle were simply amazing. Both we and our guests felt completely at home from the reception to the end of the party! The food was, as you would expect from the Küchenschelle, incredibly delicious! And not just a classic buffet, but also beautifully presented. The starter was served on slate platters with antipasti, the main course was a buffet with grilled dishes and refreshing salads, and dessert was served at the table a la Küchenschelle! Where else in Freiburg can you have a garden party in the middle of the city until late into the night, where every wish is fulfilled, other than at the Küchenschelle?! We would be happy to come back anytime!

We were recently invited to a wedding at the Küchenschelle. We really liked the location! Two spacious outdoor areas make the restaurant something truly special. The highlight, however, was the vegetarian/vegan buffet and the Snickers cake to finish it off! Everything was highly recommended: food, service, and location. We'll definitely be back.

Super friendly service! The ambiance is really lovely. I haven't had such good cheese spaetzle in a long time. For dessert, we had the variation, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

We made her a family brunch. There were five of us and we were extremely satisfied. The food was delicious, and so was the service. We didn't have to wait long for our order, even though it was busy. There was also a large selection of vegan/vegetarian dishes. The ambiance makes the restaurant a truly special place.

Great for ice cream or coffee. I wouldn't recommend the food; the cordon bleu wasn't cooked through, and the dessert seemed like it had been left the day before. Value for money, therefore, 2/5.

A restaurant that really inspires both with its interior and food. We are super satisfied and wonder why there aren't more places like this where you can eat healthy and delicious at the same time :)

We wanted to have coffee and cake in the afternoon, but the restaurant was closed, so we spontaneously decided to go there for dinner and reserved a table right away. We received a friendly welcome and were served warmly. The garden restaurant is beautifully inviting, with comfortable seating areas and bistro-style tables and chairs. We had a very good meal. The highlight, however, was definitely the Snickers and fire engine cake.

Imagine a wonderful wedding party, and the Küchenschelle team was to blame 🙂! We celebrated with family and friends (approx. 85 people) at the Küchenschelle. Passionate restaurateur Gesine and her team left nothing to be desired for an unforgettable party. Food and Drinks: Refreshing aperitif, cool drinks, unusual & delicious tapas, and a matching dessert. Service: Flexible planning. Friendly, competent service. Small, thoughtful touches (e.g., hand-designed table plan, fans for guests in hot weather, a personalized "Mc Küchenschelle" children's menu). Location: Quiet surroundings. Beautiful decor, a dreamy garden, partying until 4 a.m. on the dance floor in the (winter) garden, and extras like a couch under the tree for great pictures. Thank you so much for the outstandingly beautiful celebration. We and our guests had a wonderful time!

Insider tip! Highly recommended

A true gem nestled in the countryside, yet easily accessible by bike, public transport, or car. Special praise goes to the diverse and creative selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes! Not only vegetarians/vegans are in the best hands here. The dishes are not only delicious, but also visually appealing and highly innovative. I was impressed not only by the outstanding cuisine at Küchenschelle, but also by its breathtaking cakes and desserts! The creations are not only a visual delight, but also of the highest quality in terms of taste. Every bite is a delight! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the outdoor area is beautiful for a visit on a beautiful summer evening, and the staff is friendly and competent. I highly recommend Küchenschelle – whether for a romantic dinner or simply for a sweet treat.

The team is very friendly and even when it's full, they're really on their toes and you get served quickly. Unfortunately it was still too cold to sit outside!

If there were a Lonely Planet Freiburg, it would probably be an insider tip "off the beaten track." A very cozy restaurant with delicious cakes and a good brunch menu! The staff is very friendly, and even when it's busy, they're really on the ball, and you get quick service. Unfortunately, it was still too cold to sit outside!

We've already partied until four in the morning without anyone complaining! We had a fantastic wedding reception. Everything was just perfect. The weather wasn't the fault of the swan, but otherwise everything was perfect. Super delicious, super friendly, and super cozy. We'd be happy to go back anytime. I'd gladly spend my money here... We celebrated our wedding in the Pasque Flower and it was just perfect! The location is a dream with great attention to detail and a beautiful outdoor area 🌞🌻 The food is at least as good! It always tastes good and there are also great creations for vegetarians and vegans 🥗 The best thing about Pasque Flower is of course the entire Pasque Flower team, who are always hard-working and friendly at work🥳 All in all, I can recommend everyone to pay a visit to the Pasqueflower🤗 P.S.: Be sure to try the Snickers cake!

We were there for an overnight stay in Freiburg from the Palatinate and discovered this restaurant by chance and were incredibly excited. Such great service, the atmosphere is simply cozy and the food is delicious, delicious, delicious!!! Absolute recommendation.

Even though the ambience is really nice, the food in particular didn't completely convince me. The vegetables were overcooked and the food overall was rather bland. There were interesting creations at the cake counter, but the taste of the cake didn't completely impress us either.

We had a wonderful evening here and enjoyed everything from the great service to the beautiful decoration. The excellent menu is small but fine, both meat lovers and vegetarians can find delicious dishes here. There are sufficient parking spaces available. We would be happy to come back and recommend it!

We celebrated our birthday in the Pasque Flower and it was a successful celebration all around. From the organization to the actual party, everything was totally uncomplicated. The food (tapas) was great. The waitresses were very attentive. All guests were enthusiastic about the ambience and the location. After dinner we were able to celebrate with cocktails and gin/tonic. I can only recommend everyone to have a party here or to stop by in the evening or in the morning.

Delicious, great atmosphere, a bit expensive

We ordered our wedding cake here, and it was a fantastic choice! We were able to express our fruit, chocolate, and nut preferences and ended up with this amazing vegan, multi-tiered cake. Cutting it together was a highlight of our celebration! 🍰

My husband and I were in Pasqueflower today, Sunday March 9th, 2024. In the beautiful spring weather, the terrace was very full. We were served very friendly and quickly, even though the employees had their hands full. What we got was also delicious. The pasqueflower gets high praise from us. We would be happy to come back and recommend the pasque flower.

Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere and a very committed team including the boss. Always fine, in the evening with wine and tapas or for a great brunch... lots of homemade delicacies and unusual things (e.g. the homemade dill and passion fruit ice cream).

Big pasqueflower love!!! My absolute favorite when it comes to creative, delicious cuisine. Everything is homemade and always executed really well. The restaurant is super cozy and decorated in a boho/vintage style. My highlight every time: the Petit Something, a dessert variation that is put together differently each time by the staff. Absolute recommendation! Be sure to make a reservation for breakfast on the weekend!

We arranged to meet there for breakfast (on a recommendation) and made reservations in advance. We were welcomed and seated very friendly. Then we got the tickets and we were all a bit overwhelmed. There was no typical combination breakfast like 2 rolls, 2x ham, 2x cheese, 1 Nutella, 1 jam and 1 glass of orange juice - nothing like that. Special compositions (we didn't look at the cards online in advance) and after 15 minutes I decided on the 2 poached eggs with leaf spinach and hollandise sauce (homemade!!) And what can I say: it tasted really good and I was pleasantly surprised. The star deduction for service was because I ordered latte macchiato 3 times before I finally got one. Otherwise the service was really friendly and accommodating.

I've been here a few times now and after the Christmas brunch at the latest, a review is due. The food is really good and original. The homemade cakes and ice creams are always worth it. And of course you shouldn't forget the special atmosphere, super cozy. However, you should make a reservation for brunch on the weekend. You don't always get a table spontaneously.

Reserved for 15 people, the winter garden was not heated when it was 0 degrees outside (the time was mixed up), orders were forgotten and brought incorrectly, the "large" portion of cheese spaetzle wasn't even normal in size and was only lukewarm, and at the end the change was given incorrectly. Not recommended.

Place 15 minutes away by tram from the centre, but the journey is worth it! The place is a bit rustic, surrounded by greenery, colorful and full of flowers. The cuisine is typical, until Friday there is tapas evening so the portions of the dishes are small but perfect for each person to try a little (even as a couple). The staff is very kind, the girls translated and explained the menu to us, and then at the end of the meal after the bill they also offered us two homemade biscuits. Very recommended to escape from the usual places in the centre.

The tapas menu is very diverse - vegetarian, vegan, fish & meat dishes - and the preparation and presentation are excellent. The atmosphere in the lovingly designed restaurant is casual and relaxed, and the service is very attentive. We always enjoy coming back.

The tapas are highly recommended, here you can try as many delicious things as possible at once, and since the menu is always seasonally adjusted, it's worth stopping by often 😉 The ambience is so lovingly designed, you immediately feel at home and the service is top and simply warm. We ordered catering from Pasqueflower for our wedding and everyone was thrilled. It was important to us to be able to make the vegan and vegetarian guests happy, and we absolutely succeeded. Sweet restaurant with fantastic “Baden tapas” - we love coming here! The homemade lemonade is always delicious and you'll want to indulge in the desserts.

All around great, delicious tapas evening. (Always available Wed-Fri). Be sure to reserve! All the vegetarian tapas we tried were really tasty and the price was fair. We paid €70 for everything including a large dessert (absolute recommendation!) and 3 drinks. Service was also good and cozy in the winter garden under the heat lamp.

The service is warm and attentive without being intrusive – simply perfect! The food is of exceptional quality, fresh, creative and incredibly delicious. Every starter, every main course and especially the desserts are prepared with such attention to detail that you savor every bite and wish the evening would never end. The location is cozy and stylish at the same time, with an atmosphere that invites you to relax and enjoy the moment. An evening at Küchenceschelle is like an evening in your own living room, only with excellent food and first-class service! Absolute recommendation – we will definitely be back soon!

Somewhat hidden and unexpected, you get simple but well-crafted "tapas" dishes here - I was surprised and only in a positive way. It probably doesn't happen every evening, so check the site beforehand. Prices very reasonable, although certainly not cheap. But it tastes just as good. Very cozy atmosphere, not upscale but very down to earth

Eleven of us were guests for a birthday brunch at the Küchenceschelle. Booking was quick and hassle-free, the service on site was very friendly and attentive and the food was all delicious. That was a very nice start to the day, we would love to come back!

From reservation to payment everything went very well. Food tasty and of high quality. The waitresses were very friendly and there weren't long waiting times even though the restaurant was very full. The menu was manageable but with an additional selection of daily specials. The ambience is harmoniously designed. Price-performance ratio is good. We would come again.

Been here for the 4th time now. Unfortunately we couldn't get a spot on ALL days. Sometimes because of “closed society” and other days simply because the opening hours were not adhered to! I won't try it a fifth time!

We (my wife and I) use the pasqueflower every now and then and have always been very satisfied. Both with the service and the price/performance ratio of the food. Unfortunately it wasn't good today. First a few words about service. At the moment there seems to be a lot of new staff at Küchenbill who still have little experience in the catering sector. That's ok. We have no problem with that, considering the current difficulty in finding experienced staff. We understand that. Nevertheless, it has to be said that the service was simply not good. The employees constantly mixed up the (numbered) tables, repeatedly tried to sell us food that we hadn't ordered, they never asked for more drinks and they generally weren't attentive to us and other guests. But all of this is still bearable and hardly matters if the work in the kitchen had worked well. However, we waited over an hour for 4 plates of tapas. That doesn't work at all. Apparently we were also forgotten because other tables that arrived later were served earlier. Then the understanding disappears. Only after the third inquiry about where the food would be did the offer come that the drinks would be “on the house”. Oh well. We were already about to leave. But now to what I think is the most important point. A good meal can make up for a long wait. But unfortunately the pasque flower apparently had a small quality problem that evening too. Don't get me wrong the food was still good. But for the prices quoted or the company's own statement that everything is "handmade", it's very average. For 9 euros there were 4 (!) ravioli with porcini mushrooms in sage butter. Plus a few church tomatoes. In terms of taste, it definitely didn't taste particularly good. If the portion is small and the dish is handmade, it must taste very convincing at €9. But it hasn't. The pulled beef burger was available for 11 euros. The beef was well pulled. The meat seemed high quality but was actually quite dry. There was hardly any of the truffle mayo. Plus a pickle and the briochebun. Very disappointing. The whole thing was quite small in format. Bruscetta was just bruscetta. For just under 5 euros you can't really go wrong here. But bread, olive oil, tomatoes and garlic tasted better in the combination. For another 11 euros there was a meat cake with mashed potatoes. The cake was good (but small), the porridge with gravy was also good. The dish was most worth the money. But if you consider how easy it is to make good mashed potatoes and how cheap the materials used are, as well as the size of the meat loaf, then it shouldn't actually cost more than €8.

A successful morning, great weather, a place in the beach chair with very fine food and delicious cappuccino. The house lemonade is also highly recommended. Thank you very much, also for the attentive service 😊
