We had breakfast at Küchenschelle today. We had reserved a table about a week in advance via their website. A few days before, we received a call informing us that, unfortunately, due to technical reasons, card payments wouldn't be possible. We thought that was great, as we usually carry very little cash. The service was quick and friendly. Despite the restaurant being busy, the food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. The menu is clear and concise, and all the dishes were very fresh. We were there with our two children and felt very welcome. There were also many other families there, and they even have a few books available to borrow during your visit. We'd love to come back again!

The service was attentive and welcoming. Even with a wheelchair and walker, everything went perfectly. I was very disappointed... I ordered sweet potato gratin with coconut and mixed vegetables with walnut pesto for €16.90, plus a side salad. What I received was a gratin that was more like a soggy potato slice, without coconut or walnut pesto, with some mixed vegetables and regular green pesto for €17.80 – huh? The side salad was served as a small salad – which cost €6.90 – so a tapas-sized salad, but without any seeds... Aside from the price discrepancy, the portions were also very small (a child's portion). The service was very friendly, but also inattentive – when our glasses were empty, we waited 20 minutes before we could order again. I don't think I'll be visiting the Küchenschelle again, as the price/performance ratio wasn't right for me. A shame.

Discovered by chance and a real hidden gem! Lovely atmosphere and excellent, friendly service. The food was exceptionally delicious and a true culinary experience. Very good public transport connections, and plenty of parking for those arriving by car. Keep up the good work!

We celebrated our wedding at the Küchenschelle and had a truly perfect day. The contact with Gesine and the planning were always very pleasant, and on the day itself, everything went perfectly. Gesine took care of almost everything, so we had a relaxing day. The ambiance in the front outdoor area for the reception and the dinner was particularly wonderful. The entire buffet was delicious, and the dessert was, as always at the Küchenschelle, the highlight. We would do everything exactly the same again and would like to thank Gesine and her team for this unforgettable day.

Very nice ambiance and lovingly decorated. The food is also something special, with many vegetarian/vegan dishes. It was also delicious, but the prices are quite high. The cake selection is definitely worth a look – they have some unusual varieties! Unfortunately, we were really disappointed with the service. We waited almost an hour for the main course, the cake also took a while, and we paid after asking twice. Maybe we just caught a bad day, but otherwise, it's definitely worth a visit.

Gesine and her team are fantastic!! We celebrated our grandma's 89th birthday with a fantastic breakfast. From pancakes to French toast...everything your heart desires!! There were 22 of us, including 8 children...easily...everything went smoothly. We'll be back again...because the breakfast is fantastic. A great start to a Saturday morning! Thank you all. We always feel very comfortable!

We hosted our wedding dinner here, and it was truly a dream. The food was super delicious, the decor was so lovingly designed, and the service couldn't have been better. Planning the evening was also easy with Gesine. She was very responsive to our requests and ideas, but also came up with the best ideas herself. All in all, a nice place for coffee and a meal. It was marred by sloppy service. Our food wasn't served for 80 minutes, even though the place wasn't busy. However, the food looked and tasted delicious. As compensation, we were given a free dessert platter, which was exceptionally nice.

Our second milestone birthday in this "enchanted" corner of Freiburg, and once again we enjoyed it with both body and soul! There were 14 of us, and everyone's food arrived at the same time, even though another larger group was there. The service was very friendly, relaxed, and flawless. The food and dessert were really good! The communication regarding the reservation was great! Top restaurant with a great atmosphere!

There were six of us of different nationalities and we had already reserved a table for breakfast on the weekend. We sat in the lovingly landscaped garden, which offered plenty of shade thanks to the numerous parasols. The service was really very good – we received a friendly welcome and service, they responded pleasantly to any special requests or inquiries, and they checked in regularly to see if we needed anything else (e.g., refilling our water carafe) – truly attentive service! Another positive aspect was the very clean restrooms, and there were also hygiene products available, which unfortunately is still not standard – but we were all the more pleased that the Küchenschelle is setting a positive example. As for the food: We had various breakfast options, including meat, vegetarian, and vegan options! The prices are indeed similar to those in a big city, which initially confused me, but then I noticed how flowers, fruit, and other items were picked from the hotel's own garden, and the ambiance, service, and taste definitely justified the price! We also tried several delicious cakes, and the attention to detail was particularly impressive (decorated with flowers, berries, and sometimes popcorn!). Many cakes are also available in vegan options. The coffee, by the way, was outstanding—very full-bodied. We had a truly wonderful breakfast experience and are looking forward to our next visit!

A very beautiful and creatively designed place. Several vegan options. Most of the cakes are vegan, too. The only small downside: plant-based milk unfortunately costs €0.50 extra. The service was great and the food was truly delicious☀️

We celebrated our wedding at Gesine's. It was a truly successful evening all around. The food was excellent, and Gesine anticipated all our requests. All the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a large table on the back terrace in the garden and were able to celebrate undisturbed. Everything was lovingly decorated, and everything went smoothly. We couldn't be happier.

Very nice café. In the summer, there's a lovely garden. I go there once a month after parkrun and feel very welcome. I recommend the egg with mountain cheese and chai latte.

This year, we had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding with Gesine and her wonderful team. Both during the preparation/planning and during the celebration, Gesine was always available to provide us with great ideas and suggestions. The decorations and the entire grounds of the Küchenschelle were simply amazing. Both we and our guests felt completely at home from the reception to the end of the party! The food was, as you would expect from the Küchenschelle, incredibly delicious! And not just a classic buffet, but also beautifully presented. The starter was served on slate platters with antipasti, the main course was a buffet with grilled dishes and refreshing salads, and dessert was served at the table a la Küchenschelle! Where else in Freiburg can you have a garden party in the middle of the city until late into the night, where every wish is fulfilled, other than at the Küchenschelle?! We would be happy to come back anytime!

We were recently invited to a wedding at the Küchenschelle. We really liked the location! Two spacious outdoor areas make the restaurant something truly special. The highlight, however, was the vegetarian/vegan buffet and the Snickers cake to finish it off! Everything was highly recommended: food, service, and location. We'll definitely be back.

Super friendly service! The ambiance is really lovely. I haven't had such good cheese spaetzle in a long time. For dessert, we had the variation, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

We made her a family brunch. There were five of us and we were extremely satisfied. The food was delicious, and so was the service. We didn't have to wait long for our order, even though it was busy. There was also a large selection of vegan/vegetarian dishes. The ambiance makes the restaurant a truly special place.

Great for ice cream or coffee. I wouldn't recommend the food; the cordon bleu wasn't cooked through, and the dessert seemed like it had been left the day before. Value for money, therefore, 2/5.

We wanted to have coffee and cake in the afternoon, but the restaurant was closed, so we spontaneously decided to go there for dinner and reserved a table right away. We received a friendly welcome and were served warmly. The garden restaurant is beautifully inviting, with comfortable seating areas and bistro-style tables and chairs. We had a very good meal. The highlight, however, was definitely the Snickers and fire engine cake.

Small, thoughtful touches (e.g., hand-designed table plan, fans for guests in hot weather, a personalized "Mc Küchenschelle" children's menu). Location: Quiet surroundings. Beautiful decor, a dreamy garden, partying until 4 a.m. on the dance floor in the (winter) garden, and extras like a couch under the tree for great pictures. A true gem nestled in the countryside, yet easily accessible by bike, public transport, or car. Special praise goes to the diverse and creative selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes! Not only vegetarians/vegans are in the best hands here. The dishes are not only delicious, but also visually appealing and highly innovative. I was impressed not only by the outstanding cuisine at Küchenschelle, but also by its breathtaking cakes and desserts! The creations are not only a visual delight, but also of the highest quality in terms of taste. Every bite is a delight! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the outdoor area is beautiful for a visit on a beautiful summer evening, and the staff is friendly and competent. We celebrated our wedding in the Pasque Flower and it was just perfect! The location is a dream with great attention to detail and a beautiful outdoor area 🌞🌻 The food is at least as good! It always tastes good and there are also great creations for vegetarians and vegans 🥗 The best thing about Pasque Flower is of course the entire Pasque Flower team, who are always hard-working and friendly at work🥳 All in all, I can recommend everyone to pay a visit to the Pasqueflower🤗 P.S.: Be sure to try the Snickers cake!

We were there for an overnight stay in Freiburg from the Palatinate and discovered this restaurant by chance and were incredibly excited. Such great service, the atmosphere is simply cozy and the food is delicious, delicious, delicious!!! Absolute recommendation.

Even though the ambience is really nice, the food in particular didn't completely convince me. The vegetables were overcooked and the food overall was rather bland. There were interesting creations at the cake counter, but the taste of the cake didn't completely impress us either.

There were two of us there, the kitchen closed at 3 p.m., but we still got something for lunch even though it was 2:55 p.m., thank you for that! The food was very tasty, the service was very friendly, the ambience was also great, we felt very comfortable ✨☀️🌿🌺 Gladly again keep it up!
