You are often simply forgotten outside as a customer, waiting times are very long and the toilets are disgusting, and the food in there is also abnormally bad.

The staff is very quick and courteous. The food comes quickly. The interior is attractive. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre: the terriyaki vegetables are just vegetables drowned in terriyaki sauce. The hamburgers are okay, but not amazing either. The risotto was more of a rice mush. At these prices I would have hoped for something better. It's a shame, because the people working there are all very motivated and nice.

Be sure to reserve a table. Lots of young audience. Unfortunately, special needs are not taken into account at all. The seating is quite tight and therefore only partially comfortable. Burger very fattening and greasy. The staff tries to be friendly and only partially attentive.

My hotel receptionist recommended this restaurant and I’m so pleased to have come here. The servers were so nice and welcoming. The person who took care of me understood english which was very nice as this was my first experience in Germany. I ordered the grilled salmon with pumpkin risotto and it was delicious! I couldn’t stop eating after I was full because it was so good. Highly recommend!

Potato soup only tasted like milk and was too expensive at 10 euros - with probably a cost of 1.50 euros. Service absolutely bad. No hello, thank you, please, no attention or asking how the food was. The toilets were also not in order and matched the overall unprofessional appearance of the service.

11:20 there is still no menu to eat anything except breakfast. Everything is expensive. The tomato mozzarella plate, not even a whole tomato, 4 slices of mozzarella for more than 6 euros. Breakfast is without coffee. That's added to the price on top. We didn't fall in love with our first love that much.

A friend and I went there for the first time today. There is an attempt to create a nice, pleasant atmosphere, but it remains an attempt. The service was very stressed, extremely taciturn and friendliness was also missing. We ordered “filled waffles”... we got very dark ones. dry, carelessly filled waffles... of course vanilla ice cream was also out... a shame... and a whole €12... we actually wanted to go there for brunch one day... but the shop convinced us not to come back. ..

Today I spontaneously wanted to reserve a table for tomorrow and called. The employee was initially friendly and wanted to know what time. Since we were flexible, I said it didn't matter to us when he had something free. The employee then made a complete fool of me and said he didn't want to go to a kindergarten like that and that I should please tell him a time. I was already annoyed and answered 10 and wanted to say goodbye, he stopped me because he wanted my name and number. I was about to tell him this, a short while later he interrupted me, said oh whatever and hung up. I think your staff desperately needs training on how to deal with guests. I am very shocked by this behavior.

The food was very tasty and lovingly prepared. It makes your mouth water. Nice, courteous, competent service. Current newspapers are available for customers. Super!

During the week we managed to get a table for three people without a reservation. The breakfast was delicious. There was a good selection.

We really enjoyed the culinary delights! The risotto in particular was an absolute dream - I could have literally laid myself in it, it was that delicious. The pasta with prawns and pesto was unfortunately a bit disappointing as it was swimming in too much oil and the taste wasn't entirely convincing - that was the only thing we didn't like. On the day of our visit, the service was a bit overwhelmed, which was probably due to the home game and the Fashion & Festival - the city was simply extremely crowded, which also dampened the atmosphere a bit. Nevertheless, overall it was a nice visit with great food and we would like to come back!

It was just perfect, we were stranded here in bad weather. Spent the whole afternoon here, enjoyed fine beer and drinks. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was great too. Keep it up

We had breakfast here and took the Romeo & Juliet menu. Unfortunately the rolls weren't that good. The Nutella first had to be stirred again. There is only one "ham variation" as a meat cold cut (two different slices of ham, each halved). The fried egg was still pretty gooey on top. Overall, neither of us (fiancée eats a vegetarian diet) were very impressed. But the muesli was very tasty. The service, however, was good and quick. The shop itself is tidy and quite nice.

I went there spontaneously for dinner with a friend one evening during the week. Cozy atmosphere, very friendly service and a Burge to kneel down on! The fries weren't quite to my taste but the fantastic burger easily made up for that. The colleague had the mushroom risotto, which he said was also very good.

Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. Priced in the middle range.

Really very good!! I have been a regular guest at Erste Liebe in Freiburg for several years now and it is one of my absolute favorite restaurants/bars in Freiburg. The service is outstanding and always very friendly. Anyone who wants a break from stressful everyday life should come here!

Forced out the door by staff. We were told they wanted to close. We were allowed to take our half-full drinks outside in paper cups. Before that, the waitresses had already given us critical looks several times. Then we were told that you couldn't sit on the (dead) terrace either, as there were relevant regulations. We still understood that, even if the communication was really underground. Afterwards, the staff sat down on the terrace, which was supposedly no longer in use, and ate pizza. I have no idea what difference this makes in terms of noise pollution for the neighbors. Luckily I've never experienced this before, hopefully it won't happen again! Extremely disappointing!

I've never seen such a bad bar before! We went with my friends to have a nice evening but we were literally thrown out. The staff was extremely rude and disrespectful. They don't know how to treat customers. They took us out for no reason before we even finished our drinks! I definitely won't go again and I don't recommend it to anyone. Don't waste your money and time!

Actually it was nice, but they were turned away hours before the actual closing time. Apparently it was communicated that it was the last round and then they were shown out the door with the almost full drink in a cup. Unfortunately, when we wanted to finish the cup in front of the door, we were chased away because it would be rest afterward. The waitresses then sat down in our seemingly forbidden places and had dinner. Unfortunately, Hospitable and Tolerance was not broadcast that evening. Luckily I've never experienced it before, not even in this restaurant!

We had a really terrible evening in the “Erste Liebe” bar. Two employees suddenly and without warning kicked us out. One of the two, who apparently only spoke English, was extremely arrogant and chased us off the terrace because of the alleged noise. Curiously, immediately afterwards he sat down on that terrace with a pizza and ate it with relish. I have never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. Absolutely no recommendation!

Friendly staff, cosy dining area and best Flammkuchen of my life (Ziegenkäse). Also great fresh tea. Just what I needed after a long day. Thank you!

A real gem in Freiburg - fantastic breakfast for two! I recently had breakfast at "Erste Liebe" in Freiburg and I have to say, I'm absolutely thrilled! The restaurant offers a unique atmosphere and an incredibly high quality breakfast selection. The ambience is stylish, cozy and invites you to linger. Breakfast for two is simply amazing - a huge variety of fresh, high-quality ingredients, from delicious rolls to delicious spreads and tempting desserts. There is something to suit every taste. The entire staff was also very friendly, attentive and competent. You can tell that people work here with heart and passion. So if you are looking for a special breakfast experience in Freiburg, “Erste Liebe” is the right place for you. I can highly recommend this address and look forward to my next visit!

Potatoes are incredibly well fried and the speed of preparation is breathtaking! Staff is extremely courteous and happy to recommend multiple options if you have any questions. The breakfast menu is particularly interesting, as it includes breakfasts from particularly romantic countries. The visit can take place with family or friends. I can only recommend it!

We stopped for breakfast in this nice restaurant with four people. The selection was very good and there was something for everyone. The service was very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a stop!

Unfortunately not good value for money. Food and drinks not tasty at all. Bread dumplings with chanterelles: what I was looking forward to. Unfortunately for free. Everything tasted somehow burnt and the same. Despite the geographical proximity, tarte flambée is nothing. A pity. But the restaurant is well attended... Probably a lot of students who spend mom and dad's money, but mom and dad wouldn't spend that much money on it. Well, the waitress doesn't seem to care whether it tastes good or not.

All in all it was fine. Neither the cheese spaetzle nor the tarte flambée were completely convincing in terms of taste and unfortunately there are no vegan dishes on the menu either. But the food was okay and the atmosphere in the pedestrian zone in the shade was really nice. The service was also good and attentive.

Clearly no fresh fish; - only dry, poorly thawed, leached food. Lots of meat dishes Unfortunately they were fried dry here... Not worth it here! - Unfortunately the master card never changes; Lunch is sometimes creative and fresher. Unfortunately it also loses quality... The burgers are the best.

Missed reservation on the evening of the European Championship game DE/ES... 8 starving Swiss in a shop full of football-crazy Swabians - and the boss actually managed to make room for 8 people in a very short time. And then the food - fast, very Swabian, very fine! We'd love to come back!!!

Good location and good service. The spritz drinks are also very good. Unfortunately the food disappointed me. The salads were rather carelessly prepared and mainly contained a lot of leaf lettuce. No bread was served either. Price/performance wasn't right for me.

My visit to the Erste Liebe restaurant in Freiburg was a wonderful experience. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The employees were friendly and the boss was particularly nice. All in all, it was a very nice stay that I can only recommend to everyone.

Pork steak with mushroom cream sauce, absolute disaster, the meat was as tough as shoe soles and the mushrooms were strange black things that looked anything but mushrooms. I then had severe stomach cramps and diarrhea. Nothing came apart from saying we're sorry. NEVER AGAIN.

10/10 for Aperol😍 but the fruit in the yogurt with fruit just wasn't peeled? I had to peel them with the blunt knife first, that was so stupid😂 but otherwise the first love is great

I usually go there in the morning to meet a friend for breakfast. The breakfast selection and the quality of the food and drinks: excellent! Good price/performance ratio, lovingly prepared food, nice ambience and friendly service! First Love is a favorite place for me, I really enjoy going there!

One of the best breakfast that I ate, was so delicious

Came as a single person at peak time (Friday lunchtime, just after 12). The store was accordingly full. So I was assigned one of the last free tables with a high chair, but asked if there was still a seat with a back available because I was pregnant. In fact, only a short time later, without any further questions on my part and despite further hustle and bustle, the waitresses came back and offered me the option to change seats. Ordering also went very quickly and the food and drinks made a very good impression both visually and in terms of taste. Overall, very friendly and courteous staff, food from the daily menu at reasonable prices and the homemade lemonade is particularly recommended! Oh yes and the kitchen is visible to the guest thanks to partial glazing and also created a positive impression along with the chefs. I'd love to come back when I'm in the area again!

We were here today for the first and last time. The store looks quite inviting and we were guided by the positive reviews. Of our very simple order, 1 of 3 drinks were forgotten and then all of the main courses. When we inquired after over 1.5 hours, we were told that they had forgotten to put the order into the system and given a half-hearted apology. A while later the food came. The schnitzels were quite good, but many of the fried potatoes were burnt. In the end there was no compensation whatsoever, as we would have expected, at least a drink on the house or something similar... the waitress didn't even have enough change and was probably expecting a tip too.

Always good to give another chance and we were pleasantly surprised! This time we sat outside towards the courtyard, which was very relaxing. The Leberle is very delicious, as it should be. Otherwise a delicious homemade berry lemonade. We would particularly like to emphasize the extremely friendly, attentive service. We would be happy to come back and chalk up our first experience here to bad timing and a series of unfortunate circumstances. There were four of us there with a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes before we could order drinks. Service was friendly but annoyed because the ordermen were causing problems, reordering drinks was possible but the delivery for a bottle of Mezzo took time. You have to pour yourself into the glass, but with food prices that are above average, I expect more. A Blackforrestburger, see photo, 17.90 euros with the side salad, too expensive in my opinion. Burger was ok but presented carelessly on the plate. Starter olives 8.90, the breaded pulled cheese also 8.99 euros, well It's supposed to be a good place to drink gin and it has the atmosphere for that. In our opinion, it's not enough for a cozy meal.

The selection of drinks is great, there is a nice bar with a variety of drinks, wine, lemonades, cocktails etc. The food was very, very good! Visited this restaurant on the Holzmarkt for the first time. Good cocktails, nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. Popular location for all ages, but mostly over 30s. Gladly again at any time.
