This place used to be an old-fashioned Korean restaurant serving authentic Korean cuisine. Now, they look more like a place for Gen Z to eat Korean BBQ and fried chicken. My husband ordered a Dolsot Binbimbap, and it came promptly, but it was cold. It seemed like they just piled on the different banchan on rice out of the rice cooker. The Dolsot was also just warm, not hot like it traditionally is. I ordered Galbitang because I crave the traditional Korean taste - and then waited for almost 30 mins for it. Even after enquiring with multiple waiters, it arrived after my husband had finished his food. It was not a nice experience. The place was packed to the brim - evidently, it has its appeal, just not for those looking for authentic Korean food experience.

Service is super fast, the food is also great and there is enough of it. It's best to order something to make your own Korean BBQ as well as 1-2 ready-made dishes. Recommendation Yangnum chicken

Food was very tasty. You can view the menu online and order. So practical. Banchan is free. You can order more. It just takes a long time to pay. The staff couldn't find my order, even though I had already given the correct table number. Besides, it was fine. 👍

We had dinner there on my birthday. So the portions are super sufficient. For the fried chicken as a starter, I recommend a small portion. Big was really big and would have filled both of us too much. The food tastes very authentic. It's great for ordering via the qr code and is delivered quite quickly. I was very very satisfied.

After 6 years in Düsseldorf, this is still the best Korean Restaurant. I especially recommend Dwae-ji Bulgogi. And their Potato side dish is unbeatable.

I have to admit that the food was brilliant. But on the negatives was that it was incredible smoky inside the restaurant.....at the end of the night you had to remove your clothes and take a shower immediately at home...they should do something with the air quality. 2nd negative is that I had to queue in order to pay with credit card so I was waiting behind other customers for around 10 minutes to pay while the rest of the company were outside of the shop for me to finish.

Authentic Korean food that - while not perfect - is well above average considering this is Europe... And well, we all know that you can't find good Asian (and Korean) food here. Peace and love my fellow Asians.

The crispy chicken is incredibly delicious and is by far the tastiest thing I have ever eaten in my life and will probably ever eat. I can really recommend everyone to eat there. It's definitely worth it. In addition, the service is also A1 and super friendly.

Very tasty and great payment and ordering system

The tofu bimbimbap and all the vegetarian starters are very tasty!! Unfortunately, the smoke is extremely strong; you can see and smell the smoke in the room. Afterwards you also smell strongly of food. It's better not to wear your best clothes.

Unfortunately I don't understand the hype surrounding this restaurant. The atmosphere is anything but cozy. An extension was added to the original restaurant, but it doesn't seem Korean at all - more like a holdover from the previous tenant, almost Italian. The waiters were clearly overwhelmed: the dishes didn't come at the same time, so you couldn't eat together, and the drinks were only served after the meal. The taste was okay, but I've had much better bibimbap. The rice cake was interesting and worth trying, but overall it was a rather disappointing experience.

It was our first time in Korea, I didn't know what to expect from a culinary point of view and I couldn't make sense of the names on the menu. I finally ordered my dish according to the descriptions and accompanying pictures on the menu. Orders are placed using a barcode attached to the table, where you can also see the menu. This means everyone can order their own food and drinks independently. After ordering, the starter including small starters can be delivered to the house in less than 10 minutes. The starters were so plentiful that we were almost finished. Immediately after the starters came the main course, which was really tasty and perfectly balanced. We would eat here again at any time and can only recommend it to everyone. By the way, dogs are welcome here

Absolute recommendation! The food tastes absolutely delicious and is very authentic. The restaurant is cozy and typically Korean. Finally a place with real flair and no cool ambience. Despite a busy time of day and a large order, the food came to our table quickly and very hot. Would come here again and again. Prices are absolutely fair and justified.

Used to be a regular guest, but unfortunately it has declined significantly. The food was, as always, very good. However, the ambience left a lot to be desired. Instead of being in the actual restaurant, we were accommodated in the premises of a bankrupt Italian restaurant next door, where it was bitterly cold. We weren't the only ones who complained today.

Let me guess: Do you appreciate Korean cuisine and are you ready to leave bulgogi and bibimbap behind? So, go all out and try something new. Try Korean BBQ with all the nice little things like spicy cucumbers, pickled bean sprouts, etc. that come with it. I had a variant (Dolsot Bibimbap) that was reminiscent of a classic bibimbap - but with raw beef (tartar). As a starter we shared a pork knuckle with several people. Simply buttery. No matter whether it was beef soup (Sollong Tang), fried chicken, Bulgogi Dub Bap or other dishes - everything was exceptionally good. We count down the days until we see each other again.

The dishes are excellent. The price is right. Unfortunately the room is very stuffy in winter when many smoky dishes are served.

I could really get into this food! It's so delicious and the price is totally right. However, depending on where you sit, the atmosphere is very loud, cramped and smoky (because of the table grill). Would recommend to everyone!

During the week I had four colleagues eat here in the evening. The restaurant was well attended. Orders are placed via the app - but payment is made in person at the counter. Although we all ordered at about the same time and the orders were assigned to our table, our food arrived very late. My food came last and that was at least 10 minutes, more likely longer, after the first person got their food. I think it's really stupid when you eat together as a group. And a group of 5 isn't that huge. Very unfortunate. Otherwise it was really delicious. I didn't like the atmosphere that much. It was somehow uncomfortable and there was long hair in my place that wasn't mine. The floor is made of a strange material that I had to be careful not to slip on. Maybe it was just my shoes? But I don't have the problem otherwise. Overall, very tasty, but everything else still has room for improvement.

Great good, great atmosphere, good prices

A fantastic culinary experience! It was the first time I tried tteokbokki and I was immediately impressed - incredibly tasty, especially because I'm a big cheese lover! We also ordered a table grill, which made the meal a really nice, interactive experience. There were also all sorts of different ingredients for grilling, which we could prepare ourselves as we wished. Another highlight were the free starters in small bowls, which were not only super tasty, but also contained some things that I had never tried before. The spices were perfectly balanced, with a pleasant spiciness that rounded the whole thing off. Ordering was easy online and all dishes were “delivered” to the table quickly. This made the process pleasantly relaxed and fits perfectly with the interactive concept of the restaurant. Although I haven't eaten Asian food often before, the Korea House completely impressed me. It's not just a visit to a restaurant, but a real experience - ideal to enjoy and share the food with friends or family. I'll definitely be back!

Sticky, greasy floor! Switches and electrical installation from the 50s, toilets dirty and old, food was ok, but atmosphere terrible! Therefore unfortunately only 2 stars! Guys, with this level of sales you can invest a little more in hygiene and technology!!!

This is my frequented place. They have really good food with options from trendy korean food to food that tastes like home-cooked meals. I always opt for a portion of Galbi-tang soup whenever we come there, no matter if it is summer or winter - that is a must-have!

The food was amazing! The meat is fresh and perfectly marinated. The store was very busy, so we got lost in a few orders. But all in all, absolutely worth a visit!

Large restaurant with mass catering character. The food can only be ordered via the app. On the whole, the food tastes good but nothing exceptional. Personally, I wouldn't visit it again.

A stone's throw from Dusseldorf station, typical Korean BBQ that we ate for 55e for 2 people and different cheaper dishes. Warm welcome and efficient service. Good value for money.

Ordered food for the 4th, my portion didn't arrive after 1.5 hours even though I told them several times. I wasn't even offered any compensation. Tables were also very dirty.

I don't understand the good reviews. Our impression was more of a very unfriendly Korean McDonald's: carelessly pre-prepared and even more carelessly delivered, rather mediocre food. Although we ordered various starters and main courses, there was no such division in service. Most of it was delivered at once without comment. Two other main courses arrived as latecomers towards the end of our stay, when we thought they had been forgotten. By the way, you can save yourself any questions: either the waitress didn't speak German or consistently ignored our attempts to contact us. We then wanted to take the food that was delivered late with us and were able to speak to a waitress who accidentally walked past our table more slowly. Unbelievable: she then came with Styrofoam plates, which she placed directly on(!) the food. We should obviously put the food ourselves into the plates that are now dirty from the outside. It wasn't cleared away either. We stacked our finished plates around the edge ourselves. For example, after our neighboring tables had left, all the leftovers just stayed there. Very unsavory. Two of the 8 different meals our group ordered were quite OK. The rest fell into the “never again” category. So the same category in which our follow-up visit ended up: never again. If you want to have a nice evening, you should stick to the restaurants in the area. After the unexpected failure, we walked past various exciting shops and should have stopped somewhere else. The stars for service and ambience are actually too many, unfortunately the system doesn't accept zero stars. The food itself is rated rather favorably with 2 stars.

Beef for BBQ is good Rice cakes and noodles are cooked too long. Vegetables carelessly thrown together on a plate. Grill plate blackens and burns very quickly, changing is relatively quick but when you have to order a new plate almost every 5-10 minutes it's really annoying when eating. The worst thing is the smoke! The restaurant is not modernized at all. There is no exhaust hood directly over the table, nor does it work on the walls. My children even had to go to the toilet often. Only air there is bearable. I am very disappointed and will advise against this restaurant.

The food was ok… there are definitely better Korean restaurants in Düsseldorf. The service was poor, sometimes people were ignored and we waited 30 minutes for our drinks after we were served the food... only after asking for the third time did we actually get our drinks. I don't understand why the store is always so full.

The food was very good and therefore recommended. Unfortunately, there were glaring deficiencies. Not all dishes have been brought. There was no cutlery, so I got it from the counter myself as we were hardly noticed. We sat in a side room that was a bit suboptimal in terms of organization.

Best Korean restaurant in Düsseldorf!

3.8 / 5 The place is beautiful, but a word of advice: don’t wear clothes you’d like to keep fresh, as everything will end up smelling smoky after an hour inside. The ventilation system could really use some improvement; smoke fills the interior, which suggests inadequate airflow. If you prefer to cook your own food, there are options for that, or you can choose dishes that come fully prepared. Overall, it’s a good spot, but the smoke issue unfortunately overshadows the positive aspects.

Been to many Korean restaurants . By far one of the best ones (in Germany). Although many restaurants in little Tokyo we still have to try this is now current our favorite. Large variety of a la cart and famous grill. Be aware of the grill smell no good ventilation against the grill 😒. Recommendations by far.

How does this still get 5 star reviews? Side dishes served are inconsistent. Dirty and broken plates, bowls and cutlery. Slippery floors. Place full of smoke from grills because there is no proper ventilation system. Front door is constantly open such that customers can smell the cigarettes and feel the cold air. Personnel constantly has to walk through the small entrance to serve food to the people who are seated in the building next door, like who even thought that's a good idea...

The food, especially the grilled meat, was delicious. Even if the ambience is perhaps a bit old, the service was quick and friendly 😃 We will come back.

We've eaten at Koreahaus a few times and it's always been fantastic. We usually order the spicy seafood soup and the rice with karaage and egg. We then each order one or two portions of meat for the grill and drinks. Both the iced tea and the other drinks are great. The food is sumptuous and fills you up very well, and there are always a lot of small side dishes for free, all of which are incredibly tasty. Every time we take a dish home because we can't finish the amount. If we didn't come from Münster but from Düsseldorf, then we would eat at Koreahaus every week.

A bit old; good service, tasty food also on the table grill!

Trust me guys, I am a connoisseur in Düsseldorf when it comes to Korean chicken wings and have tried almost all the shops in my city. And to top it all off, I have to give this one first place and medals! At the beginning I was skeptical when ordering how much there might be in a small portion, and for 13 euros the quantity was unbeatable, on the one hand, and on the other hand they were super tasty like the good alden yangnyeom chicken should be. They are accompanied by a pinch of spice and will take you to boneless chicken heaven! In any case, let's get to the fact: Large portion 18€ is enough for 2 people and if you're really hungry you can order a rice each (1.5€) which comes to 21€ for 2 which is an unbeatable price for the comfortable seating and that REALLY fast service is. The food really arrives within 5 to 10 minutes and payment is made directly at the table very quickly, as everything is ordered online at the table to eat! Great value for money, great taste, great ambience, great service, what more could you want? (For your information, I ate there twice with a friend after I ordered)

I ordered squid rice bowl and it was too sweet. I think we had to wait for almost 20 minutes for the galbitang we ordered together. The table next to me was grilling meat, but there was no staff watching, so they kept grilling the meat on the charred grill, and the smoke and smell were unbelievable. It's easy to get the smell on your clothes and hair in an instant. The food is not clean either Serving is not good However, since there are a lot of customers, I think they continue to operate without change.

This place was better but today we got almost food from yesterday. Rice was sticky, vegetables were sloppy... we all felt like what we had been served weren't freshly cooked. I might give one more chance but till that time this comment will stay..

The floor is always sticky! There is no air circulation and it is smoky. The wait time for food is too long! After waiting for more than an hour to place two orders, even the drinks were not served. Later, the front desk came to tell me that the QR code had been scanned to the front table. Every table is full. Should we go to the front table and push people away to scan the QR code? The system error is understandable. After waiting for an hour and a half, there was not even a side dish, and the drinks were rushed. In the end, I only paid for the drinks and left.

It's a shame for today's experience! We arrived around 6:30 p.m. After the waiter sat down, we scanned the code to order. After waiting 20 minutes we were told we hadn't ordered so we repeatedly scanned the code to order. During this time, no service staff told us where the dishes we ordered had gone and no service staff served the entrees. I went to the reception to tell the waiters about the situation. They should have thought it was our mistake and didn't serve us. They also knew the table number we were at. After waiting for an hour we couldn't stand it and decided to leave. When we went to the reception to check out they asked us to pay all the charges but all the dishes were not delivered to our table at all.

The food here is good, but too spicy for me, which directly leads to me not eating everything. But I like the online ordering way!

We went there for Korean BBQ and really enjoyed it. Super fast operation and easy ordering concept via QR code. Plus delicious kimichi salads as well as rice and sweet potatoes. Simply very tasty 😋

However, when you arrived you had the feeling that you weren't wanted or that it meant too much stress for the staff, even though we had reserved and specifically noted that we had a baby with us. We were then taken to a kind of side room where it was It was very dark and didn't seem particularly inviting. The food came super quickly and was also delicious. Some of the waitresses were very friendly, but others were a bit rude and quite stressed. All in all it was ok.

The food was delicious and came very quickly - incredibly quickly: just under five minutes after placing the order. How does it work?! I think the prices are completely reasonable. Ambience left a lot to be desired. The furniture could be renewed, as could the toilets. Service was so-so. Got there at 2:58pm on Saturday. The sign on the door said the store would be open until 4 p.m. We were seated by the waitress and advised that we should “order quickly” as the kitchen actually closes at 3 p.m. No sooner said than done. Interestingly, guests who arrived after us were still served and were able to order their food in peace. In general, a smile wouldn't hurt anyone.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has declined greatly. We ordered two starters and two main courses. The starters were served after just 2 minutes - which can hardly be true as these are dishes that are usually freshly prepared. The food was OK, but definitely nothing special. There are many other restaurants that are significantly better. However, the worst part of our visit was that both me and my girlfriend have had stomach aches ever since. It seems suspicious that the main courses came so quickly while the starters should have been prepared. Something is wrong here. Overall, unfortunately not a recommendation.

Very good food and the food came relatively quickly

The problem is that everything there is designed for quick eating. It used to be really good there. But since they changed everything, I've had a bad experience every time. And the last visit was definitely my last. The waiters were far too few for the number of tables. And not really friendly because of the stress. Our food arrived cold and the soup was just lukewarm. I also find it anything but good that, despite having a reservation, you end up sharing a table with others. There are much better Korean restaurants in Düsseldorf...

We were there with our Korean guests. In her opinion, it was very authentic and almost “like home” for her. All I can say is that it was super delicious. You order at the table using your cell phone using a QR CODE and what you order is there almost immediately. Garson etc jab such daughter will be called. The service is nice and quick. It's a bit crowded unfortunately, but that speaks for their success, but I personally prefer a quieter atmosphere. The decoration and hygiene are neither excessive nor leave much space to be desired. The only drawback I have is that there have to be at least two people. Unfortunately, individuals are not accepted. I don't know whether you can order home or not. Unfortunately there is no parking space and it is unfortunately not wheelchair friendly due to the steps directly at the entrance. I can recommend it to anyone who wants authentic Korean food. P.S. If you have Koreans in your group, you have an advantage 😜

A really very busy restaurant, which is why you had to wait (outside) despite having a reservation. However, the staff is really quick (and friendly!) and tries to accommodate you as quickly as possible. The food itself didn't take long considering the restaurant was so full and arrived at the table hot. The taste was great, I had no reason to complain, although the KFC could have actually been hotter for my taste. However, you have to be prepared to really smell like a grill hut after visiting the restaurant and not really being able to go anywhere afterwards. So I wanted to change my clothes and wash my hair 😅 However, that's no reason for me not to go back.

This Korean restaurant is in the heart of the little Tokyo in Düsseldorf. A wide variety of classic Korean dishes is offered, including grill meat. While the restaurant setting is traditional, the ordering method is modern and digital only. The service is very fast and the portion is generous. Do come with family and friends and a big apetite.

It was my first time at Korea House and I was simply amazed by the great food. Such fresh, crunchy vegetables and spicy, but not too spicy. Plus the great appetizers included. An absolute taste experience. The staff is also very friendly and the prices for these portions are very humane. I will definitely eat there more often. I can only recommend this restaurant.

Always recommend it and so far no one has been less than thrilled, especially with the chicken bowl 👍 In the winter it can sometimes get a little colder inside, especially if you are moved to an outside room (often crowded). The waiting times are also rather longer, but the starters are delicious.

A truly authentic experience. Dishes popping with flavour and a real home cooked feel about everything that comes out from the kitchen. Enjoy a Korean beer while you’re at it! We visited as a business trip of 6 and had a prior reservation but they have a sizeable seating area and an expansion area out the back. So I’m sure you will get seated even without a prior booking on most nights. Short walk from the metro stop and some street side parking if required but I’d recommend walking to make it easier if you can. Reasonable prices and the online ordering system worked well and food came quickly.

I visit this restaurant quite often, and yesterday I tried the BBQ for the first time. I usually only order individual dishes. The taste of the food was very impressive but I had problems with the service. The staff barely made eye contact with customers. When I requested more vegetables, dipping sauce, or side dishes, I didn't get the attention I expected. After I asked once, it still wasn't brought. I had to ask a second person and it was brought late with some things missing. Given the price, which is not cheap, the poor service was very disappointing. While the food is delicious, I hope the service improves.

We sat outside in great warm weather. Orders are made online. The BBQ grill was served like lightning after less than 5 minutes. Wow! There was so much going on that day! The food was excellent and we were given very good advice. Thanks! Inside the restaurant it seemed rather dark and very stuffy. But the concept was visually consistent with the historical ambience.

The Korea House in Little Tokyo Düsseldorf offers an authentic Korean dining experience with a variety of traditional dishes. The quality of the food is excellent, especially the BBQ and bibimbap. The staff is friendly and attentive, and quite efficient! However, this restaurant is about the food, don’t expect too much attention to detail when it is about service - food is delivered to you at once. The atmosphere is nothing exquisite but cozy. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. A great spot for anyone looking to enjoy Korean cuisine in the downtown Düsseldorf.
