Kokomo Noodle Club in Hamburg

We spontaneously got a place for two on a Friday evening. The ambience was very sweet and Japanese. After we sat at our seat, we had to wait about 15 minutes until someone came to take our order (also for drinks). Drinks and gyoza as a starter came relatively quickly and were both very tasty. The ramen itself was hot, creamy and simply delicious. The perfect cold weather meal. All in all, apart from the slightly longer waiting time, which could simply be due to a busy shop on a Friday evening, there is nothing else to complain about.

Very tasty ramen and for me it's especially good that there's ramen without broth because that's all I like 😊 Today I got a seat at the counter by the window without a reservation. The food came quickly, was spicy and tasty and the service was good too. Always happy again!

Absolutely amazing ramen! Finally, something different from all the other ramen spots around the world. The flavors were unique, rich, and just incredibly delicious. The chicken pieces were big, perfectly crispy, and had an amazing crunch. The appetizer chicken was simply out of this world! The only small downside is that the prices could be a bit lower, but overall, it was totally worth it. Highly recommend!

Ramen broth has nothing to do with ramen. It has no flavor, no depth.

There were allergens on the menu but not assigned to the dishes. There was no gluten free dish. Noodles are not made of rice as is common among Asians, but wheat noodles.😩In this day and age, a straight -6!

In my opinion the best ramen in Hamburg. Super lovely staff. New local for once a month. Keep it up!!!

Really delicious ramen in a small cute restaurant.

We spontaneously got a table for two on Friday evening and have to say that the service ladies did everything to our complete satisfaction and made us feel very comfortable. The atmosphere was also cozy and inviting. The menu contains a great mix of starters, ramen and alternative dishes, with and without meat. Admittedly, €9.50 for 5 gyoza, for example, isn't exactly cheap, but the quality of the food was great. The ramen in particular tasted great and was a sufficient portion.

In fact, I expected more given the many positive reviews. The ramen was average, nothing really special. I found the service partly. inattentive, empty glasses were not cleared away. The atmosphere is more like a snack bar. Too bad.

Order a udon bolognese and a blackcurrant spritzer and the day is guaranteed to be a good one. Very nice service there.

Very nice shop. Food was good. The udon Bolognese was very exciting. I would recommend. I didn't really like the raspberry thyme lemonade. I liked the visual design of the restaurant. Very appealing. Would definitely come back.

Food was very good. Service was nice but overwhelmed. Despite making a reservation, we were charged after exactly 1.5 hours and had to leave, even though we wanted to order drinks and dessert. Extremely rude and uncomfortable. I won't do that again...

Das Essen ist super. Aber selbst mit Reservierung wird man nach 1,5 Stunden wieder rusgeschmissen, obwohl man noch mehr bestellen möchte. Keine Zeit für Drinks oder Nachtisch, die nächsten Gäste warten schon. Nichts für einen gemütlichen Abend.

I love to have salmon with my ramen 🤩 also, not so many ramen place served rich Shio Yuzu Ramen. Tastes so delicious. They also have seasonal menu, and last time I had fried aubergine that was very tasty.

Am Sonntag war Kokomo gut besucht. Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Obwohl 15 Minuten vor der eigentlichen Reservierung da, konnte der Tisch bereits in Anspruch genommen werden. Essen war hervorragend, obwohl der Ramen etwas sehr würzig war. Trotzdem war es lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen

Smaller servings but very tasty!

I've only ever cooked ramen myself and it's always been very good. Ate ramen in a restaurant for the first time and was extremely disappointed. I only took one bite and unfortunately the rest had to go, even though I always find that a shame.

Schöner wäre wenn es noch gewesen, wären die Temperaturen im Restaurant nicht gleich der Temperaturen draußen. Es war leider so kalt, dass man nicht lange verweilen mochte.

Food is very good, perhaps even more vegan alternatives. The service is friendly and even brought our forgotten bag to safety, sorry that I didn't leave an extra tip in the hurry🫣

Wir waren zu dritt und haben gestern Abend reserviert. Das Essen hast uns allen geschmeckt 👍🏽 die Ramen sind sehr gut gemacht: wir haben Tonkostsu, Yuzu Meersalz und Coco Loco bestellt. Die Mischung von koreanisch mit Kimchi und Thai mit Kokos-Chili-Fond war echt gut. Empfehlenswert 😊

Exzellente Essen in schöner Atmosphäre mit gutem Service. Zu bemängeln ist nur, dass es an meinem Tisch im Fußraum recht zugig war, ich habe teilweise etwas gefroren.

Der Service war gut unsere Kellnerin ausgesprochen nett. Das Essen kam zügig und war okay, uns fehlte etwas Gemüse in den Suppen. Man muss aber leider sagen, dass keine der Heizungen funktioniert hat. Es war wirklich zu kalt, man konnte kaum ohne Jacke am Tisch sitzen. Sehr ungemütlich.

Super delicious ramen! The lunch menu has a great selection at great prices, so it's definitely worth a visit. There are great dishes with meat, but also many vegan options. So there was something for each of us. The noodles are super tasty and have a great consistency. The lemonade is also a hit!

Kokomo Noodle Club is the place I go to for ramen in Hamburg😊

Last December we were there with a few people. The food came quickly and in the right order (starter, then main course). The portions were very large and the menu was detailed. The two of us paid a little over €80, which is quite a lot, but we would still recommend Kokomo and go there again.

Best ramen I've eaten so far, it was very tasty! The service was very polite and personable. Unfortunately, without a reservation you only get a fast food seat. The place is very cozy, but the music is a bit too loud.

The atmosphere is nice, and the food was good and good portions.

For starters, we had Korean Fried Chicken, Stir-Fried Eggplant, and Edamame—all of which were delicious. For the main course, we ordered the Coco-Loco with Fried Tofu (Vegan) and the Shio ‘Yuzu & Meersalz’ with Chicken. Both dishes were good, though not extraordinary, and we found the Yuzu Meersalz ramen a bit saltier than usual. The service was outstanding, and we would come back just for the appetizers.

The shop is okay. The positive thing was that, even though we were there very spontaneously, we still got a table for two. The service that evening was rather poor. We had to wait a long time for everything. No matter whether it was taking the order, the food or the drinks. For example, the starter came very shortly before our main course. Our neighboring table, which was there before us, only got its food later. Etc. The food was generally good. My tonkotsu was well seasoned and tasty. The Shio “Yuzu & Sea Salt” looked good and we also liked it. The ambience in the store looks fancy at first glance, but you can tell that everything is already very rocky. Perfect for going out to eat. But at this point I have to honestly admit that I ate significantly better ramen and Japanese food in general in LIS this summer.

I went to Kokomo on the recommendation of a friend, but unfortunately I couldn't share her enthusiasm. The store is nicely decorated and the service is courteous. But I've had better ramen. The broth was quite good, but the noodles tasted more like regular Barilla spaghetti. The chicken was also the most oh-kay. Overall, nothing unusual. Then it's better to wait a week until you can reserve a table at the OG spots. Wouldn't go again.

A great atmosphere and even better food! If you like ramen, this is the place for you! Even as a vegetarian I found what I was looking for here, everything was great!

Totally nice Asian restaurant. Small menu with very high quality dishes. We ate miso soup with tofu. Pleasantly spicy and totally fresh. All dishes are also offered with a vegetarian alternative. The ambience is totally modern and you can't see from the outside that there are so many seats inside. Gladly again

Bis wir den Kokomo Noodle Club entdeckt haben sind wir für gutes Ramen immer von Hamburg nach Berlin gefahren. Zum Glück haben wir auch hier in Hamburg eine sehr gute Alternative!

Kokomo successfully brings the Shio Ramen style a la Ivan Orkin to Germany! I was there a few years ago and ordered Tonkotsu and Miso Ramen, which STILL hadn't convinced me (at that point in 2019). Today I decided to try the Shio Ramen with tomato again, which ramen nerds know as the trademark of the American ramen chef Ivan Orkins, who became famous for it in Japan. This time the ramen bowl completely convinced me! You always get a traditional cooked broth, where you can tell that it's not just a glutamate broth and that the noodles are homemade. That's why I think the prices are more than fair! Long story short, just order the Shio Ramen with the chicken broth 😁🍜

Found it by chance, got the only unreserved table and: everything was done right. The food - we had Udon Bolognese, Korean Fried Chicken, Spicy Edamame and Hokkaido Cheesecake - was incredibly delicious.

Gerne hätten wir auf der Terasse gesessen. Statt dessen hatten wir die Möglichkeit an der Straße oder im Durchgang zum Hinterhof zu sitzen. Das Essen ist deutlich zu teuer. Ich meine für ein paar Nudeln und 5 Stücken Fleisch knapp 20€ ist schon ne harte Nummer. SUPPE!

A good Ramen restaurant in Hamburg ! The choice of soup and broth is quite large, and the portion is OK. The tonkostu ramen is really well done, loved the pork and the fresh veggies (never had marinated ginger in a ramen, I enjoyed it !) are all nice. We had a nice chat with the waiter, who gave us good advice on what to do in the neighborhood. I'll come again with pleasure !

Simply terrible. It was the first time in a long time I had to throw the food away. The ramen and udon were cold (!) and over-spiced, like they wanted to hide the hideousity of the food with the spice.

Appetizer flavor explosion! I'm surprised at how delicious food can actually be. I was able to have this experience here. There were delicious noodles with beef stiffs and delicious vegetables. Relatively soupy but very tasty! But: The starter (gyoza/sloppy gyoza) wow!! That blew me away! So in this case a starter is absolutely worth it! There is a star deduction for the ambience, kept very simple. Also recommended outside of home! Gladly again.

2024.07.31: had a lunch menu that costs 16 EUR, including any ramen + kimchi + the iced tea. I chose a spicy beef ramen that was absolutely amazing. Spiciness level is rather high I'd say, more than average, but I really enjoyed it, finally a place that dares to make things actually spicy. The noodles were perfect, the meat was soft. The service was really nice. Took a place outside, which is also perfect on these nice summer days. Overall one of the best ramen experiences in Hamburg.

We were here twice, six years apart. The ramen is still to die for.

Nice shop, basically delicious food, but there was something wrong with my order (wrong meat side dish) which was shown/written differently on the menu and when I mentioned it the reaction was very bad. No excuse, instead they claim that it has always been that way or that the meat is the same because it comes from the same animal. That was a bit weak. But the starters are super tasty!

Good cuisine - prices are quite high. I'm happy to pay if I like it. What bothers me is that I pointed out how horrendously Lieferando charges surcharges and offers my favorite dish for 20 euros instead of 12 euros. The operators should speak out against this. 🍜🍜🍜

Super authentic taste, generous portions and so delicious! Sloppy gyoza were great. Ramen was fantastic. Homemade raspberry lemonade is highly recommended. The cheesecake and the yuzu sorbet were AMAZING.
