Great Tantanmen. My absolute favorite with the delicious gyoza. I come here again and again when I crave delicious ramen. The lemonade is also great here. You are served politely and quickly and the food is on the table quickly. Plus the quality and the not exorbitant prices. One of my favorite ramen shops in Hamburg.

Unfortunately it was extremely cold, I could see my breath... Apart from one dish, there were virtually no vegetarian alternatives... a shame. Otherwise the store was nice and the staff was nice.

Always delicious, always full. Our small children are also very welcome and their special requests for ramen (only corn and noodles and no sprouts and the egg next to the soup please...) are always met :-) There is often a small queue in front of the shop but it is always possible pretty quick and worth the wait!

Prices have become quite expensive, but it remains one of my secret spots in Hamburg. Unfortunately you cannot pay by card.

This is exactly how I imagine a ramen restaurant. I would never have found the store without Google/TripAdvisor. From the outside a small sign and the menu. This is probably the smallest restaurant I have ever seen, 4/5 tables for 2 people on the left and 2 tables for 4 people on the right (please don't pin them down). In the middle there is an open kitchen with a small kitchen island. You come in, are escorted straight to the table of your choice (didn't have a reservation that week) and given the A3/4 large double-sided menu. I decided on kimchi (spicy and delicious), raspberry drink (Japanese, delicious) and then ramen (very tasty) which at first look like there's not enough and then suddenly you're full. After about 30 minutes you were already done, eating with chopsticks is a prerequisite (I think that should be clear), which I still have a hard time with (cold hands didn't help either). All in all great, costs were reasonable at €25. I would love to come back to this little idyll.

The Ramen is a small but very welcoming eatery that is definitely worth a visit. The ramen there is incredibly tasty and, in my opinion, deserves third place in Hamburg - a real recommendation for ramen fans! It's always a pleasure to stop by, especially when you're in the city. A great place for authentic and flavorful ramen.

My favorite Ramen spot! Hands down the best homemade noodles! The portions are decent, prices reasonable, and the food is tasty. Staff is super nice and inside is cozy. Just be aware, they are cash only, however there are a few ATMs around the area should you need to grab cash.

Spontaneous visit while changing trains, as it's not far from the main station. Small ramen bar with a nice atmosphere. Very friendly service, the food was on the table very quickly. The tonkotsu ramen is really tasteful and beautifully presented. Didn't think a spontaneous visit would hold up as my best ramen experience yet! Longer transfers are planned for the future especially for this ramen bar!

Favourite ramen place in Hamburg

Today I spontaneously stopped as I was walking past because I was hungry and gave the restaurant a try. I ordered the “Negi Shoyu” frames based on the waitress’ recommendation. The broth is strong, just the way I like it. The noodles, the chicken cubes and everything else were a delight. The dish was perfectly coordinated. Nice ambience, toilet clean and nicely designed. All in all tip top. I recommend it and will definitely come back! Thanks

Pleasant restaurant with reasonable price-performance ratio. I had the wonton ramen and loved the shrimp included! However, there is a star deduction for the fact that only cash payment is accepted. However, this is already written on the entrance door.

Perfect ramen cuisine, delicious, fast, good, cheap, friendly, well located.

The ramen shop is located on a quiet street. At night, you can easily see the shop from a distance through the light of the decorative lights outside the shop. The menu offers a wide variety of ramen to choose from, and I believe everyone will be able to find a flavor they like. I ordered my favorite tonkotsu ramen. On a cold evening, nothing can warm my stomach and relax my tense nerves better than a bowl of tonkotsu ramen with double char siu. The taste of the soup is moderate and suitable for those who don't like heavy flavors. The only pity is that the hardness of the noodles cannot be customized because I prefer a harder texture. Overall, this is a restaurant that fulfills my desire to eat tonkotsu ramen in Hamburg and successfully fulfills it.

Very strong and flavorful broths! That's what immediately struck me as positive about The Ramen. I had the miso ramen with a vegetarian broth and it was anything but bland! The restaurant is rather smaller (there are only a few seats, especially inside) and is usually very full, so it is definitely worth making a reservation in advance. And don't forget cash! Cards are not accepted here.

We were very excited about the place and really wanted to try the ramen, but we were extremely disappointed. There are definitely better places to eat ramen in Hamburg than at The Ramen. The taste was not convincing and the noodles were of low quality. The meat also had hardly any taste.

I'm Japanese. I had the tonkotsu ramen, but personally I found it to be a bit bland with a tonkotsu flavor. But the taste was delicious. At first, I had them boiled as normal (usually 1 minute), but I like my noodles a little hard, so I asked them to boil them for just 45 seconds, and they turned out to be a good firmness. Recommended if you want to eat noodles. I tasted the miso and green onion soy sauce flavors of the members I accompanied, and they were all delicious!

If you're looking for an authentic Japanese spot for a portion of ramen, you won't find anything better than The Ramen Hamburg in Hamburg, if not all of Northern Germany. Incredibly good ramen with a fantastic broth. The portion size is absolutely okay for the price. At other shops in the area you can now pay almost twice as much - for the same portion. Yes, it is relatively small and the seats may be a bit uncomfortable for Europeans (!) at first - but that's what every small shop in Japan looks like and is therefore authentic. A ramen restaurant is not there to spend 4 hours in, in typical German fashion. Starter, slurp ramen and possibly dessert and the journey continues. Full 5 stars - anything less would really be unreasonable for this great store.

It tastes terrible. The noodle soup is so salty that it’s bitter. When I checked out, I noticed that they only accept cash. In Europe, I’m used to swiping my mobile phone everywhere. I only have a few dozen dollars in cash, which is not enough to pay the bill. Fortunately, there is a bank across the street. I won’t go there again.

Sat outside. Beer tent benches can be found everywhere in HH and are in fact not exactly comfortable. Food was good, a hot pepper was a pleasant spiciness. Soups were at the table super quickly, but the dishes took a while to arrive and the timing wasn't all that good. Portions are not for hungry men, men shouldn't be too hungry ;-). Drinks were tasty, but with a lot of ice, and the same drinks tasted very different, they were just freshly prepared.

A great restaurant in the heart of downtown. Always a place to go for refreshment in Hamburg. A great atmosphere with authentic and very tasty food. We have eaten here several times and recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine and likes ramen.

Always friendly and delicious food. Both the donburis, gyoza and ramen are harmonious and cooked to perfection. The sunset refreshes and quenches your thirst without being too sweet and for dessert we always choose the cheesecake 👍

The best ramen restaurant I've ever been to. I've tested a few but in my opinion nothing comes close to this broth. Every time I'm in Hamburg, this is the crowning glory. Just perfect.

Very cute little place with fast and friendly service. One star deduction for the food, as the portions (ramen) aren't too big to fill you up. We ordered an extra egg for the ramen and only got half an egg for an extra €1… That was a bit disappointing. More dishes with chicken would also be desirable. The gyoza are highly recommended.

We were looking for a restaurant so we could finally eat ramen again. A recommendation from the internet was, among other things: "The Ramen Hamburg". I would say the restaurant is an insider tip. I found the prices to be reasonable. My wife and I each chose different starters and different main courses. We were both satisfied. If you don't want to eat inside the small restaurant, you can also eat on the street, like we did. The service was very friendly and the food was prepared quickly. We'll definitely go there again.

The food itself was delicious, but for the price of €13 it was outrageously expensive, the portion was too small and it wasn't authentic ramen noodles. All in all not recommended.

The height of the chair does not match the table very much, making it very tiring to sit on. The portion of ramen is not much, the soup base is too thick, the noodles are too soft, and the barbecued pork is burnt and has a burnt taste.

The Ramen in Hamburg offers an authentic Japanese ramen experience in the middle of the city. The restaurant impresses with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu impresses with a wide selection of ramen varieties that impress with fresh ingredients and aromatic broths. Particularly noteworthy is the vegan ramen, which impresses both in terms of taste and presentation. We had #6 and 7. Wantan and Tobkotsu Ramen. Plus Red Sunset and Mint Refresher. There is one star deduction for the food because it was too salty. Sure, it makes you thirsty, but it's too much. The service also received one star less because payment is only possible in cash. But at least it is signposted well enough from the outside. The prices are reasonable and the portions generous. Many guests praise the balanced ratio of price and performance. If you are a fan of Japanese cuisine, you should definitely try The Ramen.

The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly tasty either. I found it a bit more expensive for the small amount, which unfortunately didn't satisfy me either. However, the staff were very friendly and the inside was also very nicely decorated.

tried the tonkotsu ramen & the dumplings here for lunch. it‘s probably the best ramen i‘ve ever tried in germany (not only in hamburg!). could be a little pricy for a lunch but it was totally worth it 💖 loved the ambience and the service. was 10/10 from me. definitely would come back again.

We ate there during the Pentecost holidays in Hamburg, it's a cute little ramen place, the ramen was super tasty and I can only recommend the wontons for those who have never eaten ramen and would like to try it.

We also found the service to be rather unfriendly, but at least it was very fast. 3 stars because the Tonkotsu Ramen is really very good. The shop is really very small and you can't make reservations on weekends. We got a spot without queuing at 4:45 p.m. on a Saturday.

Unfortunately not suitable for vegetarians 🌱 and vegan friends. Although I also eat meat, I have noticed that ramen is now becoming more and more fantastic everywhere, even without meat broth. And really tender tofu is just amazing! That's why I always order veggie ramen everywhere. I was there because I saw that a location was opening soon in Uhlenhorst. Maybe a chance to delve into the topic. I'm excited and I'm very happy to change my mind! ☺️

One of my favourite spots in Hamburg for ramen. The food is delicious, and the service is very friendly. The only downside is that you can only pay with cash; they don't accept cards.

It is now one of my favorite restaurants and I eat here often and regularly. The dishes are delicious, the prices are reasonable and the service is top notch. The ambience is reminiscent of a small Japanese restaurant where you can look directly into the kitchen. Personally, I even recommend the seats on the bench, right by the kitchen. Watching the chef prepare something just has a great flair.
