MOMO Ramen in Hamburg

The food was really delicious and we were served quickly. The service was very courteous and friendly. Without a reservation it will be very difficult to get a table here during peak times. We would love to come back!

The buns as a starter and the ramen as the main course were super tasty. Absolutely recommended, but you definitely have to make a reservation, spontaneously is rather difficult.

Ramen was good, but not special. I've personally eaten better in Düsseldorf. Lunchdeal is therefore worth it for these conditions. The ambience was really good, the service to the customers could be improved that day.

Sensationally good ramen! I was pleasantly surprised and it really tasted good. I had the bao buns with chicken first, which I thought was really great. I also ordered the Chashu pork belly, which was tender as butter. Both were very good. The Spicy Dry Tantanmen afterwards was simply sensational! I also had a Classic Miso Ramen, which was also great. The noodles are addictive! Perfectly cooked with a great bite. The broth was very well seasoned. For the great food you can generously overlook the, in my opinion, not so nice location. It's not very nice to sit in and everything seems a bit unkempt. But that is the characteristic charm of the Schanzenviertel. The service staff were friendly and helpful but not professional. Overall, absolutely recommended! I enjoyed my best ramen here!

Do not come alone. Then you will be eating in front of toilet. The soup is too watery, which is not as good as the ones I had in other cities. I was only one person and could not make reservation online, so I waited outside but quickly the waiter led me in. I did not realize I was sitting in front of hall and toilets until I ordered. It was so embarrassing that you sit there watching people go in and outside of toilet. I tried to talk to waiter to change the seat but failed, it might because they don’t want to waste table for two. Then I compromised that could I turn side back then it’s my back face the toilet but they still rejected me firmly. It’s not making sense to set such a embarrassing seat for one person. The ramen restaurant I had before, most of them have a bench face the kitchen and then it solves the single issues perfectly. The first meal in Hamburg, the impression here, really sucked.

Simply great! Super fast and friendly service, plus absolutely fair prices. The ramen is authentic, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. You can tell that people cook with passion here. Clear recommendation, I would definitely like to come back!

The first impression is deceptive; from the outside the store looks quite small, but it is spread over three floors. Unfortunately, the tables are very narrow, I personally don't think they're that big. The ramen we ordered was okay, I expected more. We've eaten much better ramen. Service was very attentive and quick.

The food is amazing, but used to be better, I had tori paitan and I remember it bei g creamer and just more umami. Service was pretty low effort, not checking if all is well nor offering a desert option after taking the bowls. Probably just a bad day but it used to be better.

Es ist sehr voll, eng, laut und für die Preise ist das Essen sehr lasch. Ich empfehle eher Takumi, wenn man ordentlich und heiße Ramen essen möchte.

Tasty ramen, the starters are good too. However, the ambience is absolutely missing and has nothing to do with an Asian restaurant. R&B music is playing and the store looks extremely run down and decorated with little love. The decisive factor for the rating, however, is the extremely high price. €19 for a bowl of pasta with some vegetables and an egg is completely disproportionate. In my opinion, it misses the actual background and meaning of ramen (poor man’s food).

Momo is a special place. You need to focus on the food .. Pro: - Great vegan ramen, especially the Szechuan taste -Gyoza have a great spice Contra: - Service: The waitress never seems happy about your visit and lets you feel that. Orders and food are sometimes served in an illogical order. And if you visit after 21:00, they directly let you know that you only have a few minutes to order drinks and food and this only for one round .. - Prices: The prices for add ons get higher nearly every visit .. 3,5€ for half an egg, 4,5€ for some Kimchi is just not relatable to the ramen price - “Keller”: If you visit without reservation, be sure that you will need to eat in a bar like room downstairs. Short tables, super uncomfy chairs and a smell, which can’t be covered by red paint ..

Ein super Restaurant. Das Essen wird schnell gebracht und schmeckt sehr gut. Der Service war gut und freundlich. In dem Ambiente des Restaurants fühle ich mich sehr wohl. Alles in allem ein schönes kleines Restaurant in dem ich sehr gerne essen gehe.

Ich hatte für meinen Geburtstag einen Tisch für 6 Personen reserviert. Zwei Personen konnten nicht kommen- zu unserem Glück. Zu sechst hätten wir niemals an diesen, uns zugewiesenen Tisch gepasst, um in Ruhe essen zu können!

Incredibly delicious! Great service! Very busy, so always reserve. You really only have 1.5 hours of time, so there's no place to linger for long, and the chairs don't invite you to do that either. Still the best ramen in Hamburg for me! The vegan offer is highly recommended!

Das Essen war wie immer top, nur das Ambiente der „Ramen Bar“ an die wir gesetzt wurden war nichts anderes als ein Kellerraum neben der Küche mit wackeligen Hockern und einem kurzen Brett an der Wand als Bartheke.

Very good ramen, we recommend going for the lunch special during the week because it makes a significant difference in price. Not meant to sit, you eat and then you actually leave straight away. It's also quite narrow, so strollers and the like will be very tight, but actually it will be made possible if possible.

TAKUMI is better!!!! Unfortunately, my visit to this ramen restaurant was a complete disappointment. The quality of the food was far from what you would expect from an authentic ramen experience. The taste of the chicken was just bland and completely tasteless. The meat was tough and seemed completely unfresh, making for an unpleasant eating experience. The broth was more reminiscent of a carelessly prepared ready-made mix than the deep, umami-rich broth you would expect at a real ramen restaurant. Additionally, the temperature of the dish was more lukewarm than hot – another disappointment. What also bothered me was the atmosphere in the restaurant. The waitress called you in a very rude manner, which was completely out of place in a restaurant of this type. It seemed like there was a lack of respect for the Japanese ramen culture, which is known for its attention to detail and dedication to quality. Overall, unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. If you're looking for authentic ramen, you should definitely go somewhere else. # Takumi on 1st

Unfortunately, the food was not that tasty and not particularly “Tibetan”.

A really funny location that isn't that easy to find and doesn't really have parking spaces. The ramen is very tasty and there is always a good selection, even for vegetarians. The homemade drinks were also delicious, the staff is easy-going, relaxed and caring. Definitely recommended

The food, the ambience and the selection of dishes (also vegetarian and vegan) were really good. As described on the website, you should reserve a table. That worked well too.

The appetizers and ramen were good, but not special. The service was okay at best, we got the wrong order, wasn't particularly attentive and rather hectic. Which brings me to the far too narrow, uncomfortable store that had so much more potential. Unfortunately, the store conveys absolutely no atmosphere and appears rather sterile to uninviting. Momo doesn't live up to the hype, there are much better stores in Hamburg, we won't be coming back.

The best ramen in Hamburg, both when ordered and on site. The service is nice and the atmosphere is also nice. I can particularly recommend the Momo Style Spicy Miso Ramen, the Shoyu Ramen and also, if you want pork broth, the Tonkotsu Ramen.

Unfortunately we had a very negative experience at this restaurant. First of all, we were charged way too much. A tip was simply added to the bill, even though we didn't want to give one - and for good reason: the service was unfriendly and not very hospitable. One particularly brazen incident involved a liter bottle of water that was supposed to cost 4 euros. When we wanted to share these (2 euros per person), we were charged 4 euros per person instead, which is unacceptable. The staff responded to our questions in an unprofessional and unreasonable manner. Unfortunately, the food wasn't convincing either, but that would have been manageable. However, the billing and treatment of guests leaves a very bad impression. Not recommended – be careful with the bill!

Waren zu zweit bei momos ramen und hatten vorab reserviert. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Wir hatten jeweils eine Vorspeise und einmal Ramen. Bei der Vorspeise war unser Favorit ganz klar der Cashu, dieser war wirklich hervorragend, die Gyoza waren leider relativ standardmäßig. Die Ramen waren sowohl optisch, als auch geschmacklich einfach nur zu genießen. Toll dass die Ramen auch hausgemacht sind, sieht man sehr selten. Das Ambiente ist insgesamt auch sehr stimmig und schön, ein kleiner Minuspunkt ist dass man gegebenenfalls sehr nah an anderen Gästen sitzt. Insgesamt allerdings ein tolles Restaurant, mit wirklich gutem Essen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

In our opinion the best ramen restaurant in Hamburg!

I was there on Friday evening while the restaurant was very busy. Nevertheless, the kitchen and the service ran smoothly, everything was great. After I finished my dish, I immediately ordered a second one. It was that delicious. The disadvantage is that it is very cramped when it is at full capacity. And I didn't think the cocktail was particularly outstanding. But the food(s) were outstanding.

A very small, local ramen shop and I highly recommend reserving the table in advance. Nevertheless, the ramen tasted excellent, even if it was a little overpriced. I definitely recommend the tonkotsu ramen if you like pork and meaty flavors. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available. The starter selection is a bit limited, I wish there were more. But overall a super nice ramen restaurant.

The best Tantanmen Ramen in all of Hamburg. I could go there every day just for this dish. The other dishes are also very good. The shop is always full, but you are served quickly and receive your food promptly. Just experienced it again today. Great. 10/10

Best ramen I've eaten in Hamburg so far. Very spicy. "Spicy" could be a little spicier. A bit expensive at just under 19 euros. When it comes to service, the presumably boss (older woman) should get into the habit of treating all guests equally. People enjoyed small talk with my companion, while I was almost completely ignored. Oh well.

Super tasty ramen, which even impressed my Japanese visit. Prices are okay, but finding a parking space nearby is a bit of an impossibility. You should definitely reserve in advance as it is very busy.

Wirklich das leckerste Ramen was ich je gegessen habe. Ich war schon oft Ramen essen und das in ganz Europa und nichts, kam dem Momo Style Spicy Miso nah. Mit Abstand der beste. 100% Weiterempfehlung.:)

Das Essen war wie immer hervorragend und das Personal sehr nett. Allerdings wir wurden gebeten nach 1:20 Stunden den Tisch zu verlassen, da unser „Slot“ vorbei sei. Das war zu kurze Zeit - nachdem wir 30 Minuten aufs Essen gewartet hatten, hatten wir nur 45 Minuten zum Essen und Bezahlen. Wenn ihr tolles Essen aber für sehr kurze Zeit haben wollt - das ist der Ort. Ich gehe wahrscheinlich nie wieder.

Great service, first class ramen. No idea what you're doing wrong here, I always get a smile and attention. Spicy ball and real eggs available. For me this is #top3 next to the theramen. No bonus needed, just enjoy.

Unfortunately not a good day in service. Hectic and neither particularly friendly nor attentive. For example, we were denied a table at the windowsill because the reservation system had rescheduled the table for something else. However, we had a lot of luggage, which is why the windowsill variant would have been more pleasant for all guests. That brings me to my next point: It really is way too narrow. This isn't much fun anymore. From a culinary point of view, I was largely convinced. Our starters were all good, if not exceptional. The ramen was also tasty. A bitter disappointment, however, was the matcha ice cream, where you could only taste sweetness and no matcha at all. Tl;dr: Good food, weak surroundings.

Leider kein guter Tag im Service. Hektisch und weder besonders freundlich, noch aufmerksam. Z.B. wurde uns verwehrt einen Tisch an der Fensterbank zu nehmen, weil das Reservierungssystem den Tisch anderweitig verplant hatte. Wir hatten allerdings viel Gepäck , weshalb die Fensterbank-Variante für alle Gäste angenehmer gewesen wäre. Das bringt mich zum nächsten Punkt: Es ist wirklich viel zu eng. Das macht nur noch wenig Spaß. Kulinarisch war ich weitestgehend überzeugt. Unsere Vorspeisen waren allesamt gut, wenn auch nicht außergewöhnlich. Die Ramen war ebenfalls schmackhaft. Eine herbe Enttäuschung war hingegen das Matcha-Eis, bei dem man ausschließlich Süße und keinerlei Matcha rausschmeckte. Tl;dr : Gutes Essen, schwaches Drumherum.

The soup including noodles was delicious! However, three pieces of meat and a hint of sprouts is not the addition that I expect for 16/17€. About the ambience: we were seated at a window, which let in the wind so much that my partner had to sit there with a scarf and partly a jacket. We then left the restaurant, which was actually very warm, feeling hypothermic. Ventilation is good, but putting a table directly in front of it isn't great at these temperatures. All in all, the price-performance ratio wasn't right, even though the broth was really good.

Unfortunately not really recommended. In addition to very slow and attentive service, the food is particularly unconvincing. Neither the gyoza as a starter, nor the very boring ramen, in which the broth in particular lacks the nice fattiness and complexity of really good ramen, nor the matcha ice cream, which tastes nothing like matcha and is sprinkled with far too sweet syrup, appealed to us can convince in terms of taste.

Recently only pure mass processing. As soon as the bowl is empty, you are asked to give up the table. Unfortunately there is no time for a second drink/bedside table. It's a shame because the quality is otherwise great.

After giving incorrect information about the delivery time, I wanted to cancel my €100 order. 3 minutes after ordering, the restaurant refused to cancel the order that was coming in 1 1/2 hours. The restaurant employee on the phone is completely overwhelmed and just says you should write an email if you have a problem. So option 1. the restaurant absolutely refuses to accept a cancellation, even if the preparation of the food has not yet started. Or option 2. the food sits in the restaurant for 1 hour and 20 minutes before it is delivered to me for the 10 minutes, which would also be incredibly disgusting. I can only advise against ordering here!

Very tasty ramen, good portion and a fair price in the lunch menu. The service was very attentive and nice. Unfortunately, the oolong tea was easily 95-100 degrees warm when steeped, which is far too hot for oolong and destroys the entire taste. Very unfortunate. It is relatively cool, dark and drafty in the restaurant. But luckily the ramen warms you up inside ;)

As an Asian, I used to enjoy ramen better. Unfortunately today the noodles were almost too soft and the broth was no longer as intense. The food probably appeals more to German tastes.

The ramen is super tasty. But despite having a reservation, we were not very politely asked to leave after an hour on the grounds that there was another reservation, even though half of the restaurant was empty. We were not informed about this beforehand.

Reserved with 4 people for 9 p.m. Ordered quickly - with a starter - and well before 10 p.m. we were asked to pay while we were still eating. We found it very disturbing. Apparently, for whatever reason, everything has to be cleaned and locked by 10:15 p.m.

Essen und Ambiente ok Reserviert mit 4 Personen für 21:00. zügig bestellt - mit Vorspeise - und schon deutlich vor 22:00 wurden wir während wir noch assen zum Bezahlen aufgefordert. Fanden wir sehr störend. Anscheinend muss aus welchen Gründen auch immer um 22:15 alles geputzt und verschlossen sein.

Essen und Service sind hervorragend. Ramen habe ich bisher nirgendwo besser gegessen. Der einzige Kritikpunkt sind die etwas beengten Sitzplätze. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert!
