A little trip to Thailand! Totally cute street food atmosphere, Thai music, Thai staff! Wonderfully relaxed. Delicious food. Munich prices

This was my third time there! The food is excellent, the service is very friendly and quick, even though the restaurant is always full. The only thing that bothers me is the uncomfortable stools, so it's not suitable for me for a longer evening. There are also a few places with benches with backs!

Prinzipiell fantastisches Thai essen, wir haben nicht dort gegessen, sondern das ganze als Takeaway mitgenommen, gemischte Vorspeisen, ein fantastisches, scharfes und authentisches Thai-Curry und gebratenen Reis, ganz hohe Klasse. Zunächst war ich kurzzeitig etwas verärgert, denn nach dem angekündigten Abholtermin in der online App musste ich noch etwa 15 Minuten warten ohne dass jemand zu mir gekommen ist, liegt aber sicherlich daran, dass unglaublich viel an einem Samstagabend los war und das Personal überfordert war. Dennoch bei Kontakt sehr freundlich Und wie erwähnt fantastisches Thai Street food. Unbedingt Empfehlung.

You almost feel like you're at the market in Thailand😊only the food should be a little more seasoned. If you're going to eat Thai food, it should be more authentic and there's some spiciness involved. Otherwise everything is perfect

❌The tables are dirty and sticky. ❌Ordered SEE BOUL (39 € per pers) - very spicy and strong smell of spices and kari. ❌Seafood was not fresh, stomach ache. The staff is unfriendly. ✔️Plus for quickly bringing food and lots of napkins. ✔️The chicken skewers were ok as a starter. It's very noisy inside - the staff speaks very loudly.

The best Thai food. We drive an extra 100 km to experience this. The seafood bowl was fantastic and the other items were also very tasty. The staff is nice and quick in service. And a big thank you to the kitchen.

Ambiance and service was good. Food is so-so. The fried chicken looked completely different in the photos. Unfortunately it wasn't crispy either. Papaya salad was delicious - you just have to be able to eat it very spicy. Mango sticky rice for €10 was overpriced and unfortunately tasted more like sugar. The curries are good though!

Lovely Thai food near Munich Ost train station. Recommended if you're in a hotel near there. Sadly missed one of our orders so a member of the party ate after others had finished. Overall though, nice cold beer, good bubble tea and above average Thai food.

The food was really oily and tasteless, I expected something better from an Authentic Thai restaurant.

If you want to take a quick trip to Thailand, this is the right place for you. The facilities, the relaxed atmosphere and the people make the illusion perfect. And then there was the food… We had pre-ordered the seafood boil and that was the right decision. We knew this at the latest when the large bucket of seafood was poured onto our plate. The scent, simply wonderful. After we tied on the bibs, we relished cracking, sifting, slurping every single mussel and every single crab leg and dipping the last drop of sauce into rice. After a lot of advice later, a small selection of desserts was added... pancakes with coconut and sweet condensed milk with ice cream. In between there was a show-worthy birthday performance. All in all a great evening with good food. We went home happy and relaxed and will definitely come back soon 🙏

Eines der besten Thais in München. Fühlt sich jedes mal an wie ein Besuch in einer der Bangkoker Seitenstraßen mit hervorragendem Essen! Mein Highlight ist wie immer der Papaya Salat und der Klassiker Pad Thai. Sehr leckeres Essen und die Desserts sind ein Traum. Absolut mein Laden :)

Unfortunately, the quality of the food has deteriorated greatly in terms of the typical Thai aroma. We were there again a few days ago for a year and were very disappointed. A year ago the cuisine was still pretty authentic, although I was always disappointed with the Pad Thai. Lastly, as I said, it tastes pretty bland, although the ingredients seem fresh. Service is ok, but not as friendly as in Thailand. One might think that the quantity of guests has reduced the quality. We'll have to find a new Thai guy.

The food would be great if they didn't put so much sugar in some dishes. One cook put a whole tablespoon in the tom gai (we were watching), my husbamd managed to eat it but I couldn't. And last time we ate there the pad tai was so sweet I couldn't eat it either. We are not sure if it is just the one cook or only some dishes. Anyway, not risking eating there any more.

Love this place, they have the right food and the right atmosphere. I’ve been a customer since the times they were in a smaller location.

Es bleibt mir ein Rätsel was die Leute alles so schreiben. Es ist ein einfacher Thai mit fairen sehr fairen Preisen und dafür hervorragende Qualität. Khanitta möchte kein typisches Münchner Thailokal sein, sondern ein klassischer Imbiss.

This has to be one of the best Thai restaurants in Munich. I enjoy every single time there. Atmosphere is great. Food are mostly good but the only disappointment is the Somtum (Papaya salad) it doesn't taste like it should. Other food are okay.

We came from Tyrol specifically for the hyped Seafood Boil. Unfortunately a total flop. The bucket was absolutely not enough for 3 people and it consisted more of shell than meat. We had a seat outside the restaurant - inside the restaurant it was very coolly decorated, outside it was rather sparse. We also had a dish from the menu, which was definitely surprisingly good and appropriate for the price. Would come back, not because of the seafood boil, but rather to check out the existing menu.

The food is ok. The sticky rice I ordered came in a plastic bag and was difficult to get out... On the other hand, the bubble tea I ordered was very tasty! The service was very, very bad - we were ignored. It's loud in the restaurant and the music is bad. It's nice to sit outside, but unfortunately there are a lot of mosquitoes.

To say that Khanittha is one of the best Thai restaurants not only in the area but in all of Munich is not an exaggeration. I love the food, the decor, even if it is sometimes busy, the staff smile when they serve you. A heartwarming and also stomach warming (heating!) experience

Everything was very good. Spicy means really spicy 😉 The service was very accommodating and the restaurant is very nicely decorated, even if a little noisy because it was full.

Cool location in Munich's popular Werksviertel in a very relaxed, unpretentious hall setting. The Thai dishes are very tasty.

All the food I ordered was very salty. The female staff are smiling and cheerful and provide good service, but the male staff are not as smiling. I'm sorry I won't be returning to this restaurant again.

Great authentic Thai restaurant for a casual yet vibey dinner. The restaurant’s interior is colourful with extensive seating indoor and outdoor. I highly recommend their vegetable platter – it’s packed with flavor and perfect for sharing. Their curries are also delicious and spicy with a variety of vegetarian and meat options. Overall the service is efficient and the staff are friendly and accommodating, making it a great place to enjoy a quick yet satisfying meal.

Khanittha in the Werksviertel is really a place that I have visited several times and every time it has been simply amazing. The improvements they made to the atmosphere by slightly enlarging the space and upgrading the exterior design made the visit even more pleasant. The staff is always friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. And then comes the food - it's always super fresh and simply delicious. I can only warmly recommend Khanittha in the Werksviertel!

A little piece of Thailand in the middle of Munich. The food is very authentic, the decor is as colorful as Thailand itself with lots of playful details. You feel very comfortable and we would be happy to come back for another visit. The modern parking garage next door is very practical.

Although the terrace was quite full, the service was very quick. The food was very good. Portion more than large, had to fight a bit at the end. I'll go there often now.

I ordered it over and over, I've never had such fantastic Thai food in Munich and the portions were so large

We really enjoy ordering here, especially (panang) curry and finger food/papaya salad. Only the Tom Kha Gai could have more power for me.

We were a group of 8 food for 4 of us arrived within 15 minutes. for the other 4 it arrived after 55 minutes. The chicken tasted as hard as stones and the cutlery was no better than plastic.

Great place for (business) lunch or dinner. Located in Werksviertel, this place gives a la authentic vibe. Wide range of different dishes, served by friendly staff.

Was there with my daughter yesterday. Unfortunately not recommended 😞I ordered seafood boil. The amount for two people looked like a lot (unfortunately there was more waste) some of the mussels were almost empty. More corn on the cob and greens than seafood 🙈Unfortunately it was also very spicy perhaps to suppress the old fish taste 😞we weren't even asked if We would like to have something to drink, our glasses were empty. Only when we had finished eating did a lady come over and say it was tasty. Of course, I told her right away that all the mussels were empty. Her answer was that they had sauce in them, no, that wasn't the case 🤦‍♀️Oh yes to the lady who prepares the sauces or soup in the shop. Please be so kind and take one Another spoon to try and not stir the spoon with which you prepare the product 🤢Sorry once and I will never eat anything in your shop again 😒

Everything was great, very tasty, staff very friendly. But at 3:00 a.m. I got a bad stomach ache with vomiting 🤮 I can't say whether it was because of the food but I wasn't feeling well.

Very tasty food. Great lunch menu offering with main course and coconut soup or spring rolls. The restaurant looks like a colorful bazaar, there is plenty of space and even 2 stalls for dessert etc. You can also sit outside. In addition, the prices are fair and the staff is friendly.

Wonderful authentic food and very good service. Everything was very tasty, especially the seafood bowl, fantastic. We made a reservation there for my birthday and I was serenaded and danced. I was given a plate of mango sticky rice with candles, I was very happy about this attention. A really nice restaurant, it has something of an Asian market hall. We'd love to come back.

As soon as you sat down you could hardly have a conversation because of the loud music, in the shop you saw a woman cooking a sauce or a soup. She drank from the ladle several times and put it back in the pot. The “seafood boil” we ordered for two people consisted of a few empty mussels (cannot be found detached at the bottom of the plate). The food itself was okay but almost 80€, where half of the food is actually not edible, is overpriced. We also didn't ask whether you wanted anything else or something to drink.

Had seafood boil which was very tasty with good fish and good sauce that was perfectly seasoned. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately we waited a long time for the drinks and had to ask for lemons twice before we got them. Overall, highly recommended and we will definitely come back!

You have to find the Khanittha first but it's worth it. Here you feel like you have been transported directly to Bangkok! The cuisine is absolutely authentic - slightly adapted but very tasty. The ambience is absolutely reminiscent of a Thai food stall. Thanks! We'd love to come back!

Wasted lunch break!!! Inconvenient system when ordering takeaway. You have to walk around the building and wait at the “back entrance”. There was pure chaos there. After 30 minutes of waiting, our overpriced food was still not ready. The lunch break was over and we left with an empty stomach. At least we got the money refunded.

We ordered Pad Thai and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The pad thai was extremely tasty but the chicken was unfortunately tough and dry. Could be due to the delivery.

I became aware of the shop several times via social media and when I was in Munich at the weekend, I really wanted to eat here. The atmosphere is really cool and is reminiscent of a night market in Bangkok. The service was so friendly. Unfortunately, when I was eating I was missing the kick that I usually know and expect from Thai cuisine. Although all the ingredients in the noodle soup were fresh and the cooking was great, the broth lacked flavor and seasoning didn't help. The meat skewers were ok and juicy, but they didn't completely convince me either. Unfortunately, the Thai milk tea was also weak and watery (but that wasn't due to the ice). What can be mentioned positively is that the portions are really generous for the price. All in all it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't drive out of the center of Munich again just to eat here.

I came across this hip Thai takeaway through Google reviews. You can park here directly at the bottom of the parking garage, the first 30 minutes are free and every additional hour costs €3, which is actually quite ok. There are also numerous snack bars nearby, almost all of which are full during the lunch break. We had: - Thai noodle soup that wasn't really authentic Thai as the broth wasn't cooked long enough. - Papaya salad, which was delicious, but unfortunately not enough for €12. - Pad Krapau Moo Grob, which was really the best dish there. Very authentic and plentiful. -Steamed fish with lemon and garlic which was not good at all. It smelled very strongly of fish, which I don't think is normal as it doesn't taste as fishy elsewhere. - Thai iced coffee which was very good, not too sweet and very refreshing on hot summer days. Despite everything, we didn't think it was bad, but not the best Thai restaurant in Munich either. The decor is unique and is reminiscent of a Thai night market. The food also came very quickly, which is especially good for people who don't have much time.

I actually wanted to give it a generous 3 stars, but after my two visits and two subsequent episodes of feeling unwell, I had to reconsider. My best friend also got sick the first time and my ex-wife and daughter also had the pleasure of feeling unwell after our second visit. Maybe it's because of hygiene? Of course, if you go twice it's your own fault, but I ended up there the second time by chance (my nephew invited me and I didn't know where I was going). I don't understand the hype. Is Munich really that poor when it comes to restaurants? “Best Thai in Munich”? With the best will in the world, I can't sign that. Admittedly, I don't know many Thai restaurants in Munich, but I have visited a few in Berlin, New York, Moscow and Istanbul and the food there was worlds better. Sometimes even cheaper. The food tastes average. I would almost describe it as “boring”. The staff was stressed, but at least quite friendly - a small consolation. The acoustics of the hall were simply unbearable; you could hardly understand the person you were talking to, even if you were sitting next to each other. I rarely write bad reviews, but in this case I just couldn't help it. After all, we’re talking about the “best Thai in Munich” and I’m still sitting on the toilet. The second time! Oof!

Atmosphere great. Like in Thailand. We expected more in terms of taste. All three dishes were okay, but the chicken tasted really bad like it had been "pre-cooked the day before and reheated". That was too bad.

Feel like I’m returning home as the restaurant imitates the street food scene in Thailand really well. I assumed that I went during the peak hour so it took some time for the food to come. I’d recommend Somtam (or papaya salad) and ask them to make it Thai spicy if you’re able to bear the spices. Also, the fried chicken is very tasty together with sticky rice. Please order it together for a great combination 😋

I was there for the first time with my family on July 6, 2024. We had a very good dinner. The atmosphere reminded us of Thailand. We liked it so much that we had lunch there the next day. When I'm back in Munich, I'd love to go to Khanittha again. I'm looking forward.

Visiting this restaurant felt like we were on a short vacation in Thailand. Food great! The plastic stools you sit on aren't as bad to sit on as they look. Our companions, who lived in Thailand for 5 years, were delighted to be in a modern, authentic Thai restaurant.

Food is mediocre at best. There are waay better Thai restaurants in Munich. Also the service is oddly unfriendly without reason. For a quick and fast meal it is a good place.

This place completely lights up your Munich experience. They make your birthday super special! Service is great as well. Food is all a little bit spicy, so make sure you carry a hand towel just in case you can't resist eating the yummy food.

🍜 First class. Authentic Thai street food and really come in, eat, drink, relax and feel good! The dishes are freshly prepared. Khanittha also offers cooking classes. With starter, intermediate course, main course and dessert. Two drinks per person are included. All dishes can of course also be prepared vegetarian. The cooking course takes place in small groups and costs €129 per person. Private cooking courses in closed groups can be booked for groups of 6 or more. The course of the cooking course: You start with theory (knowledge of ingredients, history of the dish, etc.), practice (cooking), and then of course the cooked dishes are eaten. Pad Thai with lemon? Never seen… I came here because of all the YouTube videos. Food is not really authentic. I wanted a receipt so I could see what had been billed, but was then yelled at to take the receipt with me even if she had to print it out. Absolutely not possible and is a disgrace!
