The lunch menu was great, except for the soup, which didn't taste Thai at all. For dinner, the seafood bucket is highly recommended. Really delicious, especially the sauce.

The staff were polite and accommodating. The ambiance is exotic. I was neither disappointed nor thrilled with the food. The only thing I liked was the pancake for dessert. The next day, some of my colleagues started complaining of stomach problems. Since my last visit to Khanitta, I've also been experiencing some minor issues.

I ordered the crispy chicken with rice and out came a bland boiled chicken that didnt taste like anything. after asking about apparently we ordered the wrong dish so there was so compensation or correction. if you have two dishes with basically the same name you should ask the guest when he orders which one he want. with the sauce added i managed to eat some of it but it wasnt a pleasant experience. Tho the service was super fast so thats a plus.

Khanitta is like visiting Bangkok. You sit on small, colorful plastic stools, just like at a market, and can look into the open kitchen. The aroma is delicious, and the food tastes wonderful. The food, the ambiance, the friendly service, and the reasonable prices are all excellent.

Very rude cashier staff, ordered take away inside and then made me wait outside around the corner where the take away window is, in freezing temperatures!!

I can't really comment on the food, but restaurants that don't accept reservations are inevitably shooting themselves in the foot, or to put it another way, they're degrading themselves into little more than a (stand-up) snack bar. Judging by the reviews, they're headed down that road, culinarily speaking. A shame.

We visited your restaurant Khanittha on Thursday evening, November 20, 2025. Your restaurant is refreshingly lively. Everyone is there, eating and drinking: old, young, children – no age restrictions. We had a short wait, even though the restaurant was fully booked and we hadn't made a reservation. The organization was superb in every respect. The atmosphere was vibrant and colorful, with a lively street vibe. The food was excellent, served by attentive and friendly staff. And of course, it tasted delicious. Thank you, Thailand.

Food is super yummy and the atmosphere is very authentic like on a street food market in Thailand. Would highly recommend! It can get busy and noisy. Reservations are not possible with a small group so sometimes you have to wait in line to get in. But it’s worth it.

I was only in the Werksviertel district for a concert (Technikum) and was looking for a nice restaurant. I found Kanittha and was pleasantly surprised from the start. It's very colorful and inviting, and I received a warm welcome. The staff is very friendly, and the food was absolutely fantastic. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area again. The Pad Thai with chicken and spring rolls is highly recommended. The price is very good.

I used to really enjoy this restaurant— the food used to be consistently good. Unfortunately, my recent visit was disappointing. The papaya salad had almost no flavor at all: it wasn’t salty, spicy, or sour like it should be. The fish was served cold and also lacked the usual balance of sour and salty notes that made it special before.Even the coconut milk for the sticky rice was too fluid and didn’t have the rich, creamy texture it should. I truly hope the restaurant can bring back the quality it once had, because it used to be one of my favorites.

The food is very good. Personally, I find the place too loud; the atmosphere is like a canteen or train station. The small, backless chairs take some getting used to; they sat on my jacket. Great for a young crowd, less so for those over 45.

I wanted the som tam to be spicier, but it was incredibly sour. I also wish they used real long beans, not another kind. Authentic ingredients shouldn't be hard to find at Munich. The larb was also very sour.

I really don't know what everyone finds so great about this place. The location is fantastic, the ambiance is nice too, but we were rushed through like we were on an assembly line and didn't even receive a proper greeting. But ultimately, it's about the food and the price, and let me put it this way: I've never sent food back before, except here. They promised "crispy chicken," but what I got was dry and tough chicken. For the high price, it was absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, the staff was extremely unfriendly and couldn't understand our criticism, as the chef apparently always prepares it that way. If the chef always does it like that, then I wonder how this place has so many positive reviews. The Pad Thai was also tasteless. Is everyone blinded by the cool atmosphere in the Werksviertel district? After a brief discussion, we at least received a different dish. Every restaurant can have a bad day, but unfortunately, we had a terrible experience from beginning to end. We had high expectations. What a shame!

Great Thai food for an affordable price with a homely and authentic feel. This restaurant has loads of personality and a wide variety of different dishes. Really enjoyed their moo ping and satay and the wide variety of different options to choose from. Their mango sticky rice really stood out, not overly sweet and was an excellent treat after such a hearty and filling meal. Disappointing! I just picked up an order for 15 people. I ordered M1 tofu and M2 shrimp via the online order form. In the end, M1 arrived with chicken, and M2 was just vegetables. Yes, it was a different daily special, but it wasn't updated on the order page of THEIR website. When I called afterwards, they were only partially helpful. They told us to send the invoice via text message and that we might get a refund for the incorrect orders. Never again.

The staff provided poor service during the meal. A heated argument ensued when ordering simply because someone said they didn't want something. Instead of simply accepting it, the staff member insisted on being right and started arguing. Hello – I come here to eat, not to engage in arguments! I'll never come back here… it's not even worth one star. Unfriendly and downright rude.

Delicious food, during my stay in Munich we decided to have dinner here for 3 days and everything was delicious, the service was excellent and the best thing was that they let me stay inside with my service dog, without a doubt a place I would return to on my next visit to Munich

Incredibly delicious, fast, and plentiful. The service was super friendly, witty, attentive, and efficient. Not fancy, but still very classy in its character. That's how I imagine restaurants in Thailand to be. It was very crowded, busy, but not overly loud. Booking a table is definitely important.

I was having a short layover in Munich and I was craving for some Thai food so badly I was searching for a very nice review of Thai food and found this restaurant. I was too tired to go out so I ordered it to eat at the hotel. All the food tastes very good. Fresh ingredients and the portion were very huge. The milk tea was very nice as well and the little traditional Thai desserts was lovely.

I think 4.3 stars is unjustified. The restaurant is fantastic. Authentic, delicious, and fast. It has a total Thai street market vibe. Really good! And an incredible selection.

I ordered through Uber East and ordered Thai spicy, but the taste of the food I received was terrible. Did you taste the food before serving it to the customer?

Good: friendly service, fun vibe, fast Not so good: food Mushrooms in the soup almost raw, undercooked vegetables in the curry. Both soup and curry very greasy and contained scarce shrimp/ duck. Curry lacked any flavor besides chilli.

Overall - We were super impressed. Staying a hotel nearby and needed to have some lunch, decided on this spot since we haven’t had Thai in a while. Ended up being a great choice. Fast, friendly service with a cool atmosphere. Appetizers were delicious and the spicy noodles were actually very spicy and delicious! Can definitely recommend eating here.

The atmosphere is really fun, and contrary to expectations, you can actually sit comfortably on the plastic chairs without backrests. The rest of the place was rather disappointing, though. The restaurant was about one-third full, and we found our own seats. For about 20 minutes, we were simply ignored by the waiter. We were confused as to whether we ordered at the counter, and only after talking to other guests did we realize that table service was indeed available. The food we ordered arrived quickly, but I wasn't particularly impressed. The appetizer platter with three sauces was okay, but the duck that followed was dry, tough, and garnished with quite a lot of crust crumbs. After dinner, we sat for about an hour with our plates, which no one cleared away. Whether we wanted anything else to drink wasn't a concern, so we weren't able to order anything for another 30 minutes, leaving us with nothing for that long. It was also interesting that the first drinks were still served in glasses, and then we were only given two bottles without glasses. The service itself did its job, but there was no sign of friendliness, a smile, or anything like that. After visiting the restaurant, all your clothes need to go in the laundry because you smell of cooking grease from head to toe. I really can't understand the crowds in the place after today's performance.

No one greets you at the entrance, the music inside is extremely loud, and it's overwhelmingly noisy. If you sit outside, people are smoking there.

I had the coconut milk soup with chicken and the crispy tofu with sweet and sour peanut sauce. Very tasty and the price was right! Werksviertelbräu is offered, but I didn't find it as good as the other Munich beers.

Very disappointing! I love eating there. The food is so incredibly good. It's truly one of my favorite restaurants. I celebrated my 35th birthday there. My brother asked the waitress to sing me a star and bring me a small candle. They said no, because they never do that. That same evening, they sang for three other birthday people.

I dont understand the good reviews. I ordered yum neua, mango sticky rice and the roti over ubereats. Yum neua the worst I ever ate (what is celery doing there?) Zero coriander or mint. Mango sticky was fine. Roti had a HAIR in it, the flavor was nothing. Would give 3, but 2 due to the hair. Huge disappointment and a waste of money.

I've known Khanittha for over 30 years (albeit at a different location and under different management) and have always been very satisfied with the food. Three days ago, I was truly disappointed. My order was taken quickly and friendly. The wait for serving was great, and the service was very fast. Appetizer: Fish cakes Tord Man Pla - lukewarm and rubbery in texture - tasteless. The sauce was sickly sweet and disappointing. Main course: Pat Kra Pao (pork with a fried egg). Ordered with egg, but it came without. It was immediately delivered, but it was ice cold. The dish itself was a large portion, but extremely bland in taste and unambitiously seasoned. Both dishes together were so disappointing that I will definitely refrain from further visits. A real shame.

Ribs were bit dry but everything else was delicious and super friendly staff! Papaya salad is spicy but I loved it. Thai milk tea was also good.

I love the food at Khanittha, it tastes almost as good as my mom’s. The food is fresh and the portions are big. It is quite loud in there, so it isn’t ideal if you want to chat a lot over dinner.

The soup i ate was kinda ok, but clearly not the best. I can make much better myself. The chicken in it tasted a bit bad and i guess they used the same chicken in the other dish. The curry i got was just bad tasting. Frozen vegetables and pre cooked chicken, possibly then frozen as it tasted faul..and in bad tasting broth. I could not eat it. The restaurant was full so I expected it to be good. Usually such dishes are quite ok, but this was really disappointing. Edit: after reading the other reviews it seems this used to be good place, but recent reviews share my experience.

The food Is almost like the original, but at the end of the dinner I had to face a really bad and unpleasant experience, the waitress wanted to apply 20% tip on Total amount...in germany a tip Is a free choice, you are not obligated , It Is not like the u.s.a, you don t have to do It, you do It only if you want , and She obbligated me to do It in a bad manner, bad experience , i couldn't belive It .... At the end the regular Total amount was 91€ and they wanted me to pay 110€ instend 91€ and this was even much more than 10% , but After a long discussion I was paying "only" 100€...It was a pity and a bad experience, but the food was ok.

The food is okay. Unfortunately, the vegetarian version of the noodles is just noodles with vegetables. I thought they would have tofu. There's no air conditioning.

With the exception of the Pad Thai, the food was unfortunately disappointing. The Pat Seew Sen Yai was not at all as it should be. The noodles were completely rolled up. There were just lumps in your mouth and it didn't taste good. Unfortunately, it wasn't supposed to be that way. Even with the Mango Sticky Rice, the mango wasn't sweet at all, and the sauce was too runny. Unfortunately, it wasn't as authentic as advertised. The price for the sticky rice was €10, far too expensive for the quantity and quality. The service staff weren't particularly friendly or attentive either.

Great service and delicious food

Tasty food, nice staff. My food took a bit of time to arrive. It was a little salty but otherwise good. I got chicken with veggies, can’t recall if it came with rice. Also got bubble tea. My friend got curry and spring rolls. Very popular place that doesn’t take reservations. The outdoor seating is backless and not super comfortable. Inside, they have a counter where you can pay that has lots of unique Asian snacks.

I've eaten here a few times and can definitely recommend it! The atmosphere is really cool, everything in a street food market style, and the Thai food is delicious and of very good quality. If you're looking for somewhere cozy to sit and enjoy a bit, I wouldn't recommend it, as it's more geared towards short restaurant visits. The portions are perfectly adequate for me, although they have also been significantly reduced. Unfortunately, it was almost too small for my partner. We'd definitely come back!

We ordered the crispy chicken. While it tasted quite good, it was unfortunately completely crunchy, as it was drowned in sweet and sour sauce. They could have packaged the sauce in a small separate cup so you could pour it on yourself, while still keeping the chicken crispy.
