Small and tasty became big and expensive with no loss of taste, a shame... Update 2025 Quantity instead of class. It doesn't have much to do with Thai food anymore. Staff unfriendly and everything is still overpriced. Tom ka Gai inedible, curry too. Anyone who has never eaten in Thailand will come back. We were here last time.

Service not ideal: I asked for Lycheeschorler but got no Sprudelwasser. Then, I kindly asked them to make me another Schorler-Schorler. They brought the drink back to the bar and then brought the exact same drink back. I don’t think this is how restaurant works but they might have different opinion. Food not too bad: like any other above average Thai restaurant, a bit too savory but still okay. Atmosphere is more or less the only sell point so it’s depending on your preference.

The food was tasty, but the sauces were way too sweet and a bit too salty. The portions are large. I wish they would replace half of the meat with vegetables. Then the meal would be nice and lightened up. The seats have no backrest.

Delicious Thai food that tastes really authentic – almost like you’re in Thailand. The furnishings are also lovingly designed and contribute to the authentic atmosphere. If you like Thai cuisine, you will get your money's worth here. We found the very narrow dining room less pleasant. It seems a little crowded and noisy, which makes the stay a bit tiring, especially at rush hour. Overall, the restaurant has a more hip, scene feel to it - if you like that, you'll feel at home here. We would still come back for good Thai food.

Street food like in Thailand. The ambience is authentic as is the staff. It's always quite full, you can only make a reservation for 6 people or more, but you'll be assigned a spot very quickly. Unfortunately, the food doesn't always come to the table in the right order (starters, main dishes), but it is very freshly prepared and served hot so that you can eat in peace. Spicy means hot, which shouldn't be underestimated, but there are also many mild dishes and you can add spices at the table. It was delicious and the lemonades were super refreshing and a good change from the meal. Minus point because afterwards your hair and clothes smell really strongly of food, as the kitchen opens into the dining room. Price performance was still great. Definitely coming back.

Very authentic and super tasty food. The atmosphere is also just super apt and you feel like you have immersed yourself in Thailand. There is a two star deduction because during our visit the orders were forgotten, mixed up and served at different times or completely late. Unfortunately, this really ruined our overall experience.

The Pad Thai was spectacular. However, I only give it 4 out of 5 stars because the cashier was quite cold and unfriendly when paying. She didn't even say goodbye after paying.

My brother became aware of the Khanitta through Bernd Zehner's video. There were 3 adults and 4 teens. 2 of us had pre-ordered the Seefood Boiwl... and had great expectations and were not disappointed, only one of us wasn't quite full of it... I had the sea bream with tamarind. It was really a 12 out of 10, well seasoned and a special taste.. The whole atmosphere there is just amazing and even though we have never been to Thailand, it felt like we had been there. We will 100% come back

Super authentic Thai food and the atmosphere there too! Papaya salad original like in Thailand. We only found the roti to not taste quite as good as it did locally. But still absolutely recommended!

Authentic Thai food that's it! Eat like in Thailand. Friendly staff. Food top. Always busy, you're always waiting for a free table. Dishes vary significantly in their spiciness and taste from visit to visit. I still like to go there because it's simply delicious.

In the past this store was really good. Now it seems to me as if people are buying much less good products and the chefs don't have any interest at all. I usually always have the same chicken dish, but the chicken had a lot of cartilage and wasn't tasty. The rice is super dry and not really tasty. The milk tea doesn't taste like it used to. Unfortunately, a lot has changed, but I still enjoy going there.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, but there’s one thing that could be improved: it’s not possible to reserve a table for small groups, and during the summer months, the dinner queues can get really long.

Finally a ray of hope in Munich that can make my business trips there bearable. Super casual, relaxed atmosphere. A lot of hustle and bustle, I can't say much about the authenticity, but I really enjoyed it. Perfect to end the day with the team. Even though the meal took a second longer, we were looked after in a really friendly manner! The employee with the pink pigtails deserves special praise! :)

Very authentic. You briefly forget that you are in Munich. There were four of us on Saturday. Difficult outside because it's always full. Food is prepared quickly. Taste was great! 1 star deducted because many shells were empty. 40 euros per person for a seafood bowl, without a drink is not a small amount. But it was interesting to try. Thank you.

Here you have to queue first to get a seat. When we were led into the restaurant by an employee, we were shocked. A terribly uncomfortable, narrow and loud atmosphere. The small, colorful tables and low stools reminded me of a kindergarten, and I wondered if you get crayons with your meal. 15 seconds was enough to walk again immediately. The food can't be that good that you can tolerate such an atmosphere. Terrible!

One of the best Pad Thai in Munich - always delivered very hot, even when ordered, and a large portion. Other dishes have very nice crunchy vegetables. Good selection of drinks and delicious BBT from the shop next door on the menu. The ambience is extraordinary for Munich and with a little imagination you feel like you are in Thailand. The price is still ok (Pad Thai from 15€). Friendly service, not intrusive. Excellent mangoes!

Food was delicious. Didn't reserve. We sat at the back, near the kitchen. It was very loud there. Strangers were quickly seated at our already small table. The dust on the ventilation above the kitchen is also several centimeters thick.

Khanitta offers an authentic Thai street food experience in a unique setting. The interior takes you straight to the streets of Thailand, with a real tuk tuk as an eye-catcher - a real eye-catcher that makes the ambience even more lively. The selection of starters is excellent, from crispy spring rolls to delicious dips that fit perfectly into the culinary introduction. The soups also impress with their intense flavors and fresh ingredients. As a main course, the Pad Thai is an absolute highlight - perfectly seasoned and, if desired, extra spicy. A great place for anyone who loves the variety of Thai cuisine!

Highly recommended and probably the best Thai food in Munich in a very “street food” ambience with nice Thai local music and excellent service - all the staff seemed to be Thai. Food quality is very nice and price reasonable. We had the mango salad and Tom ka gai soup plus Green curry, chicken cashew and chicken basil for mains. Very authentic mango and sticky rice dessert with a coconut ice cream in a coconut shell - to round off. About 30Eur per person with drinks.

Great location but I can't share the quality of the food here. We all didn't feel well afterwards and now for the second time, which we attribute to flavor enhancers in the food, the sauce in the food was a standard and I don't think that's possible. After all, this isn't a corner snack bar

10/10! The food is super delicious. There is a lot of choice of drinks and food. The employees are so nice and always funny. I think it's very interesting and nicely decorated, something you don't see very often in Europe. I can honestly only recommend it, as I've been there several times. 😊

This place was amazing! I had the crispy chicken, and it was packed with flavor. For starters, we shared fried tofu, a spring roll, and soup—all delicious. We waited about five minutes in line (Friday at 8 PM), but it was well worth it. The vibe is a bit like a food market, but the atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. If you go, you have to try the mango sticky rice. My girlfriend usually loves sharing her food with me, but this time, she struggled—it was that good.

Tasty, spicy, lots of choice, nice service and a great ambience. It's certainly all a matter of taste, but it's exactly my thing. I find chairs uncomfortable but they are just part of it.

Really great experience. The restaurant is centrally located at the Ostbahnhof in the Werksviertel. The interior looks really great, it actually has a street food feeling. But you have to like that, because it is rather loud, narrow and a bit uncomfortable to sit for a long time due to the tables/chairs. The map is well made because with pictures you immediately know what to expect. The waitresses try very hard, I liked it. The food is really delicious and there's a lot of it, you'll definitely get full here! What is difficult due to its popularity is a walk-in visit. We didn't get in on a Thursday and would have had to wait forever. This worked on a Wednesday, because you can reserve from 6 people, anything less than that is a matter of luck.

The atmosphere decorated the night market in Thailand, and I also encountered Thai birthday songs and blessings. I had to queue for a while, and the food portion was enough. I ordered fried rice noodles, fried rice, and green papaya salad. The rice was too hard, and the taste was still a bit different from that of Thai street stalls. The milk tea was delicious.

Not really bad. But would not go ever again. Pricy for what you get in terms if taste and service. We had a soup, which was salty and somewhat between enough for main but more like an appetizer. The chicken in the pad Thai was smelly….. the duck also and very very dry and chewy like gum….. not so sure where the all so positive reviews are coming from……This place was much better in the past.

Been here many times. My favorites are the Hainanese chicken rice and the pig. The green curry is good. The fried wontons are delicious. The service is friendly.

Das Restaurant wurde uns empfohlen. Bei uns gab es Ente Glasnudeln und ein weiteres Vegetarisches Gericht. Die Gerichte schmeckten aufgewärmt und nicht knusprigfad. Für einen Thai in der untersten Kathegogrie. Das Gemüse war gut und bissig. Große Portionen zu einem dafür angemessenen Preis. Wir werden nicht mehr kommen.

Khanittha serves excellent authentic Thai dishes. The selection is very large. You can watch how the food is freshly prepared. We all enjoyed it very much. The service is very fast, friendly and extremely attentive. The restaurant is decorated in a very individual Thai style. Update Feb. 25: Everything was perfect again.

A discovery in the Werksviertel! We were a group of girls and made a reservation by phone. Although the reservation for the hall on the ground floor didn't work out, we discovered the basement with live music instead. This was the perfect atmosphere for our girls' night out.

I went to Khanittha with 10 people on my birthday. It was too loud to chat, but you felt like you were catapulted into the middle of Thailand. Super authentic food, large vegetarian selection and also gluten-free options, without which we can't live without. Plus, as a birthday child, I've never been celebrated so euphorically in any other restaurant - you feel like a queen 🤩 Sensational!

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. First, they brought me the wrong dish, which was frustrating. The waiting time was excessively long, and when the food finally arrived, it was disappointing. The staff had a poor attitude and seemed uninterested in helping. The food was bland and not tasty at all. To make matters worse, after eating, I ended up with a stomach ache. I definitely won’t be returning and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Great food, drinks, vibe and staff!

Food is delicious, but service is a disaster and staff not attentive. Of the six dishes, the last two came only after the first four people had already eaten. Mistakes are of course human, but we had to check with several people several times. Several waitresses simply ignored us and only the last waitress actually asked in the kitchen.

We were thrilled and will definitely be back soon! The team creates a warm atmosphere, the food is exceptionally tasty and the prices are absolutely moderate. My gastro highlight of the last few weeks ✨

I went there to eat because of the many either top or bad reviews to get my own opinion. Personally, I found the staff very nice, the food was well seasoned, hot and tasted great. In terms of the decor, I imagine a Thai street food place in Thailand, even though I've never been there.

The food is really tasty, but unfortunately it is quite noisy with so many people sitting tightly in one room. The service never asked us if we wanted a drink or needed anything else, it was more like self-service. For the 10€ for the sticky rice I would have expected a little more rice than a smooth tablespoon 🫠

I would actually like to give it 5 stars. The food and ambience are really great and are like a trip to Thailand. But I really can't understand the prices anymore. We've been coming here often and happily for years, but €17 for pad krapao with egg? A limit has simply been reached somewhere. Khanittha is by far the best and most authentic Thai street food restaurant that I know in Bavaria. Excellent food, brilliant and friendly service, and a real feel-Thai atmosphere without the usual bells and whistles. Lovely

I have eaten and ordered here many times. This time I am really very disappointed. The Yum Wunsen dish this time was extremely salty, very different from usual. In this restaurant, it seems as if each chef uses their own recipe instead of following a consistent method. This makes it difficult to keep the flavor of each dish consistent, whether I'm eating in or ordering takeout. Actually, I would have only given one star, but since I'm a regular guest, I'll give it three stars. I hope my review reaches the restaurant owner.

I have ordered delivery here many times. The food is authentic and large portions every time. We ate directly in the restaurant with a large group for a birthday. Cool Thai street food atmosphere. I immediately felt like visiting Thailand again. 😁 The service is good and at some point we recognized by chance that it was someone in our group's birthday. There was then a very cool show performance by some employees (definitely not to be compared with other locations). The joy that radiated was great. As a gift there was also mango sticky rice and soap. Really super sweet. Thank you for the great evening! 🥰

At first and second glance, it's a very nice restaurant that really transports you into the hustle and bustle of Bankok. So if you like authentic Thai flair with a high volume level, this is the right place to start. The smell of the kitchen is also included in the visit. That doesn't bother me and it adds to the authenticity. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met at all when it came to eating. I had a curry Geang Pa with chicken. It was spicy, as described, but didn't taste like anything. I have rarely had such tasteless and watery food. Even seasoning didn't help. My companion had duck. It wasn't crispy but at least it tasted ok. I have the feeling that the quality of the kitchen can no longer keep up with the many visitors because everything has to be done quickly. Too bad! I don't know if I'll give it a second try. There are really too many really good Thais in Munich who value taste, even though the atmosphere in Khanitta is really nice.

We have been here several times and are satisfied every time! I can particularly recommend the Bamee Kee Mao if you like to eat spicier food. In my opinion, the Geang Massaman Curry, which is rather mild, is also really tasty. For us, the good taste also justifies the slightly higher prices. The atmosphere is very colorful and just as nice as the service!

Authentic Thai food from Thai staffs. The atmosphere is good with Thai Street food theme with food stalls and Tuk Tuk cars. Food are good but they forgot extra fried egg I ordered but bring it later after requesting. Bubble tea are all tasty. Deduct one star because some spoons are dirty.
