At first and second glance, it's a very nice restaurant that really transports you into the hustle and bustle of Bankok. So if you like authentic Thai flair with a high volume level, this is the right place to start. The smell of the kitchen is also included in the visit. That doesn't bother me and it adds to the authenticity. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met at all when it came to eating. I had a curry Geang Pa with chicken. It was spicy, as described, but didn't taste like anything. I have rarely had such tasteless and watery food. Even seasoning didn't help. My companion had duck. It wasn't crispy but at least it tasted ok. I have the feeling that the quality of the kitchen can no longer keep up with the many visitors because everything has to be done quickly. Too bad! I don't know if I'll give it a second try. There are really too many really good Thais in Munich who value taste, even though the atmosphere in Khanitta is really nice.

We have been here several times and are satisfied every time! I can particularly recommend the Bamee Kee Mao if you like to eat spicier food. In my opinion, the Geang Massaman Curry, which is rather mild, is also really tasty. For us, the good taste also justifies the slightly higher prices. The atmosphere is very colorful and just as nice as the service!

Authentic Thai food from Thai staffs. The atmosphere is good with Thai Street food theme with food stalls and Tuk Tuk cars. Food are good but they forgot extra fried egg I ordered but bring it later after requesting. Bubble tea are all tasty. Deduct one star because some spoons are dirty.

This Thai restaurant is very good! The food has authentic flavors and is overall very tasty. The portions are generous and the prices are fair for the quality on offer, making it good value for money. A small point of improvement would be the ventilation of the room, as the intense smell of the food can cause clothes to smell strongly of it. Nevertheless, the entire experience was positive and I will definitely come back.

I must clarify, my opinion is absolutely partial; I not only like Thai food, I am fortunate to my own Thai family, I like their culture, and all that thainess. Khanittha is the one Thai restaurant in Munich where I feel like eating street food like in Bangkok; it is not only the authentic food but also their warmth and divine Thainess that I love.

Everything is just right here. The food tastes fabulous and the service is fantastic. The atmosphere also invites you to linger. I always enjoy coming here!!

Tom Yum soup has exactly 2 pieces of shrimp! Pad Thai was oily and had weak flavor. Overpriced, and the food is average.

We ordered: Gutiew Nam Sai and Gutiew Haeng. Both dishes were extremely disappointing. They lacked flavour and no matter how much salt and chilli flakes we added, the food was just super bland and inedible. The chicken also had a weird smell as you eat it. I wanted to finish my bowl since I was starving and I was paying for it, but it was absolutely impossible. Surprisingly, my friend shared the exact same experience, I tasted her food and she tasted mine and it was the same kind of blandness and smelly chicken. Not to mention how over-priced the food is considering that it’s street food. It was absolutely not worth the price. Why the 2 stars: We also ordered Wan-Tan and Mango sticky rice dessert. Both of these were really tasty.

After reading the reviews we gave it a try!! Unfortunately it doesn't taste good! The meat of chicken skewers was very dry, sauce ok! Crippy Chicken was also very dry and didn't taste good at all! Cutlery very old! There are better restaurants in Munich for the price!

Typical Thai place, with very kind staff and tasty food. Even though we arrived at peak time, the service was quick and efficient. The toilets were clean and equipped with personal products, a further pampering that we appreciated

The request for a plate of dry pasta for a child was 14€ - this was not communicated beforehand...when we asked, we were told that that's just the way it is...we won't be coming anymore!

Very large menu with a diverse selection of Asian dishes. The dishes can be chosen with meat, vegetables or tofu. Special requests and inquiries were always responded to in a very courteous and friendly manner.

The best Authentic Thai food I have ever try in München so far. The decorations make me feel like I'm eating on the side of the road in Thailand but some staff likes to gossip about foreign customers in Thai which I am Thai and I understand everything! I have to listen about this everytime when the customer entrance the shop, would be nicer experiences if the stuff serve with full hospitality. The food is so delicious that I went two days in a row and ordered a variety of dishes and everything was delicious with real Thai taste. The food is very delicious. It's so delicious that you have to invite your friends to go again 2 days in a row. Everything in the restaurant gives you an atmosphere like you're eating in Thailand. The dishes you order are basil, red curry, red curry, fried + boiled chicken rice, crispy pork rice, papaya salad, duck larb, and Yen Ta Fo noodles. Everything is good. Except for the bad feeling of having to listen to employees gossip about customers who can't speak Thai. A fat foreign customer walked into the shop and the employee spoke very loudly in Thai. “Don't sit in the chair in front, the chair will break and make you fat. I just sat there and didn't look at myself.” At that moment, my friend and I were stunned. We sat for a while and a foreign customer walked into the restaurant to just look at the menu and then walked out. The employee shook his head and said, "A waste of time asking and then not ordering," but in conclusion, he walked back and ordered. The problem is speaking very loudly. Thai people sitting in the shop turned to look at each other. The admirable staff is like being half-siblings with a handsome older sister who has a lot of tattoos and a second older sister who likes to put on makeup and dress and speaks very well 🙏🏻

I can particularly recommend the cooking course with the boss. I keep coming back!

Absolutely amazing food, atmosphere and service!! Will definitely be revisiting when we come back to Munich. Servers all spoke English, Thai and German and were great at communicating, recommending dishes and helping out. They were warm, welcoming and friendly. My husband is Thai so he ordered for us. All the food was incredible. Super authentic, delicious and cheap in comparison to a lot of other places in the city. The area is super nice too, with lots going on, great hotels nearby and a close walk to the city centre. Thanks again & we hope to be back soon!

The shop is really worth seeing, great atmosphere and furnishings. You really have a nice Asian feeling. The food is good, but unfortunately there is still room for improvement if you know really good Thai food. What actually surprises us is that apparently only Thais work in the kitchen in the shop, which usually guarantees really good food. Yesterday, for example, we had the appetizer platter which was unfortunately completely cold and the three dips were almost inedible. . . Very unfortunate.

Sehr schönes Restaurant. Leckeres Essen für faire Preise. Ästhetischer Innenraum, sauber und gepflegt. Freundliches Personal und guter Service. Große Tische und viel Platz, auch für Besuche mit einer großen Gruppe geeignet. Manchmal dauert die Zubereitung des Essens jedoch etwas zu lange, auch wenn der Laden nur semi voll ist.

Authentisches Streetfood Restaurant in einer Lagerhalle. Plastikmöbel wie in Thailand. Reiche Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken zu vernünftigen Preisen. Bestellt wird am Tisch, gezahlt beim Verlassen des Restaurants an der Kasse. Service sehr freundlich, Essen sehr gut. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.

There were four of us here and we had to wait 20 minutes, but you have to be prepared for that. The location is a bit noisy, but very nicely decorated, we felt very comfortable. The food was really tasty and authentic. We would come back at any time!

Well furnished restaurant. Unfortunately, the background noise is very loud and the ventilation is not sufficient, you always smell strongly of food afterwards. The food itself is very tasty and authentically Thai. The service is always very friendly, but the service seems a little overwhelmed at peak times because there are probably not enough people employed or the restaurant has been getting more and more tables. This also makes it lose a bit of its charm, as you now sit very close to each other and hear the conversations at the next table. Unfortunately, this is not appropriate given the prices. If you're just coming for food, it's definitely a good place, but there's still room for improvement for the rest.

That was an experience that I don't need again. First of all - the milk tea was delicious. The food we ordered was consistently bland and the chicken in the noodles (as well as the rice) was anything but freshly prepared. It tasted like it was made three days ago and was only added to the meal today. I wouldn't have found that okay even at a cheap snack bar on the corner...unfortunately, all the fun here cost a disproportionate amount of money.

Conclusion: If you like mediocre food at high prices with substandard service and arrogant staff, this is the place for you. Everyone else please go to another restaurant and hope that there will be room for something new here soon. Story: Five of us went there for dinner today. 3 out of 5 drinks were forgotten. When we asked, the missing drinks were brought to us. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of the underground service. Two dishes were forgotten again while eating. When we repeatedly asked the staff when the missing dishes would finally arrive, we were only told “immediately” and “soon”. By this time the others had already eaten the starter and main course. After renewed insistence on our part, the two missing dishes were finally brought to us, certainly 30 minutes later than the first dishes at our table. There wasn't even an apology from the staff. At the checkout we raised the issue again and expressed our displeasure. Again, no apology or other attention. You should contact the staff if a dish is missing. Thanks for nothing.

Food is good. Atmosphere is great. I just didn’t like that the cashier was hinting me that the tip isn’t included in the bill. You wait if the customer wants to pay. The service isn’t great anyway

I had the sweet and sour crispy chicken, which was absolutely unappetizing. The chicken is absolutely dry and hard. The sweet and sour sauce was so sour that I wasn't even able to eat it all. At a price of 17.90, expect at least some quality

I would like to give more stars. The service is decent and the atmosphere is as good as you would expect from a location in the Werksviertel. However, the crispy chicken I had was a bitter disappointment. The sauce was really much too sour, it had nothing to do with sweet and sour. Maybe I'm having a bad day, but a meal that's so acidic that it gives me a stomach ache isn't acceptable.

The atmosphere feels like a Thai food court. The staff are so friendly There was a lot of food and it was really delicious. I recommend both Pad Krapao and Massaman Curry.

Very lively and well attended, cool atmosphere, but an absolute no-go: we had the table next to the kitchen and mice were running over our feet… no comment!

I've been going to Khanitta on and off for three years, the last time was yesterday. Ergo today: Salmonella poisoning - no, thank you never again!

I rarely write reviews but today I just have to get it off my chest. It's a shame, it's a real shame, the Khanittha was once one of my favorites, but the quality for the price has deteriorated so much. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken, I had the feeling it was the leftover noodles with leftover meat that had been packed for me. I like to spend money on food, so I at least expect it to be fresh when the quality is no longer there!

Mega tasty dishes, often overcrowded

Pepia - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The sauce is delicious, but the spring rolls are small and served cold. Pla Tord Kratiem - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The fish is crispy and served with a cup of hot rice. However, we were informed of a 6 EUR price increase only after the food was served. Moo Grob - ⭐️⭐️ The pork portions are generous, but it was served cold, so it lost its crispiness. The rice is also cold, and the portion is too small. Mango Sticky Rice - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The mango isn’t very sweet, but the overall taste is okay. Thai Milk Tea - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Served quickly, but there’s too much ice. The taste is delicious.

Surprisingly good Thai food! I just had the lunch yellow curry but it was really good 👌 It’s a nice spot for lunch, since they have affordable deals for lunch 😋

Very nice atmosphere that is based on a typical Thai footcourd. The food was very good, authentic and in my opinion the price/performance ratio was completely fine. I look forward to the next visit 🙂

Sehr leckeres Essen mit fairen Preisen. Super Nachspeise. Der Laden hat Streetfood-feeling man fühlt sich sofort wie im Thailandurlaub und auch wenn der Laden abends komplett voll ist, ist das Personal super freundlich und flott unterwegs. Der Papayasalat ist immer wieder lecker. Die Cocktails hätten etwas süßer sein können.

We were there at lunchtime, of course I know it's incredibly busy, we waited 15 minutes until a service employee came to us. The Pad Thai took over 20 minutes and they forgot the one with tofu (eat 2). I like to wait longer when it's busy, but you forget one of two orders and the food is seasoned terribly (sweet) and hardly any vegetables or sprouts and a lemon (or lime). As a cook, I noticed that something was just being slapped on quickly.

I would say yes: like in Thailand. But Google knows: I was never there. Great shop.

It's really worth a trip. A piece of Thai street food in Munich. Be careful, hot really means hot here. The papaya salad was seasoned a bit extremely with soy and fish sauce. Still full recommendation. For those inexperienced in Thailand: You should know that there is no real dessert culture in Thailand.

Have ordered here again today for a long time. When we ate here for the first time about 3 years ago, everything tasted very good. Unfortunately, the food today had nothing in common with back then. The chicken in the dishes tasted old. The laab and pad kra pao were terribly tasty. There was no taste of Holy Basil. The best were the Drunken Noodles, which at least tasted good without the meat. Overall, unfortunately, a failure.

On September 24th, 2024 at 4 p.m. I spontaneously went to dinner with my family. Unfortunately, I have to say that everything has turned out to be negative. The staff was unfriendly. We wanted to sit at a table then the waitress said I should sit somewhere else because she was having a conversation. I firmly told her I would like to sit at the table to eat. Afterwards she walked away complaining and gossiping with her colleague in the background, Then the food came. It was dripping in fat, the chicken tasted like the fridge had a bad aftertaste, and all the dishes didn't come together individually. Unfortunately, I have to say that the restaurant has developed so badly since the boss is no longer there. I can't recommend it at all, unfortunately it's a catastrophe.

Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this restaurant. The service was extremely disappointing - the waiters were very rude and showed an arrogant attitude. If you stay in the restaurant for a while, you will be urged to leave with looks and subliminal gestures. The food we ordered wasn't served during our entire stay, yet it still appeared on the bill at the end, which was really outrageous. In addition, the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly compared to before. Very disappointing!

Really good food, starters, curries, soups (Kao Tom). We were there on Friday. Packed full, sat at the big table where the shop is. It was tight, but just good. Great ambience.

We were here for the first time. The location is in the middle of the works. Interesting location. The ambience is very nice. Although it is very busy. You can watch the chefs prepare their meals. We had to wait outside for 5 minutes because it was completely full inside. The restaurant is obviously very popular. Five of us tried half the menu. The main courses are great. The starters were ok. The chicken wings were surprisingly good. Especially with the sesame soy dip. The dessert was disappointing. The Cocos ice cream looked suspiciously like Metro. Overall a great restaurant and recommended. The only negative point was the dessert and our waitress who seemed annoyed/unhappy that we ordered so much. Incomprehensible, since your tip is based on the amount of the bill. We can recommend it for the first visit.

Service is moderately attentive and some of the food is not edible. The seafood bowl had rubbery, tasteless squid rings and it gave you a stomach ache. Starters and dessert were okay, but not convincing in terms of price/performance.

Unfortunately, the quality decreased significantly over the past two years. Panang curry sauce too thickened and sour, rice was way too soft, fried rice had no taste whatsoever and the meat was dry and low quality. my partner couldn’t keep it in, so that’s telling… even the wantan were badly made, the ends weren’t sticking and opened up during frying, which made the filling dry. the chicken wings had hairs on them. overall way too pricey for low quality ingredients and poorly made food. i am very sorry, we loved the food once, so we gave it another try after noticing some decline in quality before. however, it has been such a disappointment the last couple of times that we will spend our money elsewhere from now on.

I was at lunch and got spring rolls, there were 3 of them and they were very small and the whole thing for 7€. I was shocked and find the price extremely expensive. I wouldn't recommend it.

This was my third time there! The food is excellent, the service is very friendly and quick, even though the restaurant is always full. The only thing that bothers me is the uncomfortable stools, so it's not suitable for me for a longer evening. There are also a few places with benches with backs!

Prinzipiell fantastisches Thai essen, wir haben nicht dort gegessen, sondern das ganze als Takeaway mitgenommen, gemischte Vorspeisen, ein fantastisches, scharfes und authentisches Thai-Curry und gebratenen Reis, ganz hohe Klasse. Zunächst war ich kurzzeitig etwas verärgert, denn nach dem angekündigten Abholtermin in der online App musste ich noch etwa 15 Minuten warten ohne dass jemand zu mir gekommen ist, liegt aber sicherlich daran, dass unglaublich viel an einem Samstagabend los war und das Personal überfordert war. Dennoch bei Kontakt sehr freundlich Und wie erwähnt fantastisches Thai Street food. Unbedingt Empfehlung.

The best Thai food. We drive an extra 100 km to experience this. The seafood bowl was fantastic and the other items were also very tasty. The staff is nice and quick in service. And a big thank you to the kitchen.

Ambiance and service was good. Food is so-so. The fried chicken looked completely different in the photos. Unfortunately it wasn't crispy either. Papaya salad was delicious - you just have to be able to eat it very spicy. Mango sticky rice for €10 was overpriced and unfortunately tasted more like sugar. The curries are good though!

Lovely Thai food near Munich Ost train station. Recommended if you're in a hotel near there. Sadly missed one of our orders so a member of the party ate after others had finished. Overall though, nice cold beer, good bubble tea and above average Thai food.
