KERVAN Veggie Imbiss in Konstanz

A very tasty snack bar with a very friendly team! Especially for vegan options, this is the go-to alternative for a deliciously filled pide to go! I'm not rating the ambiance because they only offer takeout. Faloumi by Kervan is at the top of my personal favorites!

The beef kebab was delicious for me! My wife thought it was too meaty. When we wanted her doner kebab wrapped (for me), he insisted on making her a new one with a meat substitute (it was delicious!) TOP SERVICE!!

Delicious kebab, but the portions are really small and relatively expensive. The vegan option alone is worth it; I don't really want to pay more than €10 for a plant-based kebab.

Outstandingly delicious vegan yufka and a very friendly owner. I can definitely recommend it, but unfortunately I was only passing through Konstanz and can't come more often.

I actually wanted to minimize my fast food consumption, but it's difficult here. The doner kebabs here are so delicious, whether with the excellent beef or the freshly fried halloumi cheese, I couldn't resist. The portions were so large that my wife and I were full after just one doner kebab, so the price-performance ratio is absolutely fantastic. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Worst vegan kebab I've ever eaten

Central location in Konstanz Vegan burger in flatbread tastes very good. Unfortunately, it's not convenient to cut out the entire bread, so a lot of it falls out while eating. Plus, there's no seating, which means the handling spoils the taste and leaves you annoyed.

No seats, little food for a lot of money.

Everything was great, I had vegan currywurst with fries, unfortunately there were children there, which bothered me, otherwise 5 stars everywhere!

I was happy when I saw they had a vegan kebab. But unfortunately, it doesn't really taste like a kebab. I'd rather get a salad bag and save 12 euros. It's just not worth it.

Unfortunately, one of the employees (I suspect the owner) was very unfriendly. The veggie doner tasted good, but not worth the insanely high price. The "regular" doner, on the other hand, is excellent quality, and the price of €8.50 (as of July 2025) is acceptable.

The beef doner is delicious, and the cheese doner is also excellent. We'll be back!

We've been coming to Konstanz for years, and our first stop always takes us straight here. We've tried the meat-free menu, except for currywurst, and we're always impressed. It's always an additional reason to come to Konstanz.

It's a shame that this long-standing, well-frequented vegetarian snack bar now also offers beef dishes. That's a step backward in my opinion! And they simply left out the grilled vegetables in my vegetarian dish. I also think it doesn't taste as good as it used to and has become too expensive.

Update 2025: Unfortunately, Kervan is no longer a purely vegetarian kebab shop. Therefore, I won't be visiting it again. I don't understand how the supposedly vegan/vegetarian owner can suddenly offer meat again. Best veggie kebab in town! The cheese kebab should be banned, it's so delicious! Of course, the prices are debatable, but like everything else, electricity, gas, food, etc. have unfortunately become expensive in kebab shops... Still, the quality is good! Always Kervan!

A lovely little shop right next to the cathedral. It has a very good vegan selection. Unfortunately, I had to switch back to meat. But I'm always impressed by the selection. It always tastes great, and luckily, there are some very good vegan kebabs in Konstanz.

Delicious food and amazing for vegetarians/vegans. 3 stars on service and atmosphere however with no dining, neither are important.

Actually a good veggie with a lot to choose from. But I got a stomach ache after my meal and only had to go to the toilet. It didn't taste like other veggies and kebab stalls either. Too bad :(

The Yufka itself was quite good. However, I was not offered any option to avoid the packaging tax. I know it's the city's fault, but that still means I won't eat there anymore.

Update: Store has been updated. Highly recommended Planted Kebab! I had an excellent planted kebab. The owner is nice, jokes and there is reusable packaging. However, I didn't expect that you could also get animals in a "veggie" snack bar. Label fraud is probably being practiced here in order to attract “woke” customers. Why do I need cows when there are already plants? The store should rename itself or remove animals from the menu. The skewer didn't look particularly appetizing either. To top it all off: the animal kebab was also the cheapest.

Wow, Kervan is truly an oasis for anyone looking for healthy, delicious, and lovingly prepared food! The selection is huge – from vegan delicacies to regional beef, everything is perfectly cooked. The ambiance made me feel like I was in a little culinary wellness oasis – even the fries taste like they were fried with care! The friendliness of the team is priceless, and the creativity of the offerings (Bodensee Dinnele? Amazing!) shows that heart and soul goes into every dish. So if you're looking for a mix of indulgence and good cheer, you should definitely stop by. I'll definitely be back – and not just because of the charming job offer on the door!

I am very disappointed that Kervan now carries meat. I always thought the prices were pretty high, but I felt good about supporting a vegan cause and having a kebab shop tailored to my diet. The service is always great and it is definitely the kebab shop I trust. I'm torn because they probably offer meat because of sales problems and I actually want to say "Hey, I don't support that. I won't come back there anymore", but on the other hand the sales problems will continue and people who eat meat won't care . I also really like the owner and think his activism and involvement in local politics is so great. Go and buy vegan food, support the good cause at the store.

If I order vegetarian falafel for 8.50 with this rating, they must be freshly made. (Unfortunately, they are only "warmed up" in the deep fryer for a few seconds; of course, they stay cold inside.) In contrast to the falafel, the salad was fresh on the level of good kebab, the result was OK, nothing remarkable, nothing I would recommend.

This is a great place to eat for anyone vegetarian or vegan 🙂. We had one kebab vegan, the falafel one on a flatbread and a small order of pommes. Everything was quite tasty. They had a good choice options of different types of vegetarian and vegan fillings with different breads. Kebab were the perfect kind of spicy for me. Would be returning here for sure anytime we are in the city.

The vegan meat substitute made from peas was super tasty! Unfortunately the bread didn't really impress me, but the rest was great :)

Can definitely be recommended. The various vegetarian and vegan kebab variants are recommended. Prices are a bit high, but you get the right quality. The only deduction is because there is no bread of our own, which is very lacking.

Very small portions and way too expensive for it. The taste was okay, but nothing special. Except for the sauce, there is very little taste. Had the tofu kebab. €8 for a kebab that is half the size of comparable vegetarian kebabs.

If I had tasted the Yufka blindly, I probably wouldn't have even noticed that it was vegan. Delicious. The prices are steep, but this is largely due to the cost of the ingredients and the good location in the pedestrian zone.

This is where my veggie heart goes! A big compliment to the owner. Someone here has thought about offering good meatless kebab. We've been here twice already. The first time I ate the Yufka with tofu, very tasty ingredients and fresh salad. Last time I tried the lupine gyro kebab, personally the meat substitute was a bit too dry for me, but that's always a matter of taste. My husband already had the Seitan and the Plant Based and he really enjoyed it too. The Yufka and the kebab were always very full, so you were more than full. The service is always quick and friendly. A small drawback is that you can only take the dishes away and there are no seats there. I also don't understand the negative reviews regarding the prices. At least you're not getting low-quality, mass-produced ground meat, but rather high-quality meat substitutes, which are of course more expensive to buy. Plus, the snack bar is right in the middle of Konstanz's city center. That's why the prices here are absolutely justified!! We'll definitely be back!!

A really good selection of vegetarian food. And the taste is fantastic. Prices are perfectly reasonable for the size of the meal.

We had two yufkas, one with seitangyros and one with planted kebab. 100% recommendation. The one with planted kebab is very close to one with meat. However, there is no option to eat on site.

Yesterday I ate the best Seitan Gyros of my life, and the prices were justified. Simply top 🔝, and the owner and the service were super nice. I wish there was a snack like this in Kaiserstuhl, more of it please ❤️

We were more than thrilled when we happened upon this snack bar while looking for a quick bite. The owner on site was very personable and gave us great advice. A short time later we had the culinary revelation in terms of vegan snack food in our hands. A Seitan Gyros in flatbread. Truly the best thing I've ever eaten! The prices are more than justified! Full points! We will definitely come back on our next trip to Lake Constance!

Unfortunately not recommended at all. A disgrace for this price of 12 euros (!!): bad bread, unseasoned kebab (pea protein) and the sauce unfortunately didn't taste like anything, except for the vegan plant base on which it was made. It's a shame for anyone who wants to eat consciously.

Went there today and ordered a veggie kebab. The service was very friendly. The kebab, however, was incredibly tasteless. For 12!!€ you can expect at least a few spices and a bit more salad for a small kebab. It was pretty carelessly prepared and tasted the same...like (really!) nothing.

Wow...shock in love. There is not just one vegan kebab option, there are several! We had 2 of them (planted and seitan) and both were incredibly tasty. I wish I lived here, then I would come every other day...at least

The food and selection were really great! Veggy currywurst and falafal sandwich very tasty. There was also a gluten free option. What we would improve: If you have questions about allergies, please give clear answers. You shouldn't be unsettled by jokes because otherwise the delicious snack could end up in the emergency room. Otherwise, a few bar tables around the snack bar would be great.

THANK YOU for this wonderful place! The owners here understand what most other veggie restaurants don't: 1) Just because I don't eat meat doesn't mean I want to eat only vegetables. I LOVE meat! Here I can enjoy currywurst, gyros, kebabs and much more without feeling guilty. 2) Just because I'm vegan doesn't mean I eat little! Here you get really nice portions that you can enjoy. 3) Consistently sustainable. The packaging here is compostable, the cutlery is made of wood. Here you understand why the vegan trend even exists. The lupine gyro in the flatbread was tasty but could have used a little more seasoning. In our opinion, the Seitan Gyros in the flatbread was a little tastier and more seasoned :) The service was super nice and quick!

I ordered two kebabs at Yufka. Unfortunately, the prices on the menu are not adhered to. In my case the price for the two kebabs was €25. Therefore I cannot give a good rating. The quality and taste were still very good.

Well, I don't even know where to start. I'm actually a carnivore, not to excess or anything like that but... I bought the Yufka, started eating it and then just indulged! Delicious!

Only the second largest failure in Konstanz is a river. I like eating vegan kebab, but not here again. Margherita pizza and lupine doner are simply not seasoned enough. The best thing about the kebab is the onions. For 9€. I've eaten much better vegan kebab for less money.

And once again we were in the Kervan and found that the quality had suffered. The yoghurt sauce was bland and watery, the bread was stale and crumbly, the seitan was ok, but the quantity was saved and too many tomatoes and cucumbers were packed into the kebab instead. This is about maximizing profits, which can also be seen in the sharply increased prices. On the positive side, there is a good selection and the fact that everything is vegi or vegan. I wish the old Kervan was back years ago when it only offered a vegan kebab, but it was great! ------------ After being very disappointed recently (see review below), we decided to give Kervan another chance and it was worth it: the potatoes in the kebab disappeared. The bread and sauces are delicious again and so is the seitan. We think it's particularly great that the entire snack bar is now vegetarian with plenty of vegan options. Super! Keep it up! And keep your hands off the potatoes ;-) ----------- Not as good as before. Unfortunately, the vegan Seitan is made with potatoes. Very, very unfortunate. Potatoes simply don't belong in a kebab. The bread that used to be delicious is no longer available, but rather some dry, cheap bread that tastes like it has been baked twice. The sauces that used to be delicious are now watery and bland. Unfortunately, profit optimization obviously takes precedence over taste here.
