Burroburro in Konstanz

Since the renovation, the place is completely different. The burritos don't taste good anymore, and the staff isn't as friendly as it used to be. The place has lost all the charm it once had.

This was always my favorite place to eat and chill with friends. The atmosphere was great, there were separate seating areas, and the food was fantastic. But since the renovation, all of that is unfortunately ruined. Now it feels like a McDonald's fast-food restaurant, and the food doesn't taste as good anymore. Everything is produced faster and cheaper, and the personal touch the restaurant always had is gone. It's a real shame.

Sorry, but that's a no-go for me. Paying €9.90 for a Beef Classic Naked Burro (without tortilla) and then getting a mini bowl of dry rice/meat porridge... plus a packaging tax of 54 cents, but without any sauce and without avocado (which was the reason for the purchase)... just not acceptable...!!!

Very nicely decorated, modern concept with convenient ordering stations. Depending on the crowd, you might wait a bit, but everything is freshly prepared. The sweet potatoes are extremely delicious, and the sauces are also excellent. The value for money is absolutely reasonable, and you'll be filling. I'll be back!

It used to be much better. I used to come by very often. And I know for sure that they don't make the same food as before. It tastes like a fast food restaurant. What a pity.

Unfortunately, it has happened several times now that my food wasn't prepared as ordered! So annoying! This really needs to be improved. Some people have allergies or food intolerances and can then throw away the wrap because the order wasn't followed! That's unacceptable. After all, you pay for it. This has happened several times now in both Konstanz branches. Please work on it!

It used to be great, I came by often. Since the renovation, all of its charm has disappeared. It's like a cheap copy of a fast food restaurant. The burritos still taste good, but they've halved in size compared to what they used to be. The price has gone up, though. It's a shame what they've done to this Buro Buro in the city.

I visited this restaurant for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. Even though I came during peak hours, I received my burrito pretty quickly! 😊☺️😊👍 Very friendly and attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere! Only the music wasn't quite my taste...😬

I went there yesterday at around 1:40 p.m. for dinner, and it was absolutely delicious. My meal was prepared in no time, and the service was simply very nice and friendly. It's also very clean, and I highly recommend eating there.

Dear food lovers, As a lover of Mexican/American cuisine, I have to say that this restaurant is simply amazing. The price/performance ratio is great, even if I would have preferred slightly larger burritos (but I'm also a real glutton). The selection of burritos and side dishes is more than satisfactory. However, I would like a few more sauces, such as sour cream or guacamole. Another reason to visit this restaurant again is the incredibly good lemonade, simply yum. All in all, a 10/10 "fast food" restaurant. Best regards, your trusted local guide with a passion for Mexican women and food.

Once great – now, unfortunately, a flop. After the renovation, Burro Burro City has lost a lot of its charm for me. Outdoor area: Protective wall gone, street noise present. Restroom: Just one – for everyone. Inconveniently located. Ordering: Only at terminals, card payments only, self-service only. Food: Drink in a plastic cup, fries in a mini plastic box, what felt like a smaller portion, and everything was more lukewarm than hot. Taste okay, but not like it used to be. Conclusion: For €18.39, I expect more than a campsite atmosphere and plastic dishes. Taste alone isn't enough if the rest isn't right. I won't be back. Long version: I've been to Burro Burro City a few times in the past – and everything was always great. After the renovation, I went back today for the first time – and I can tell you right away: It will also be my last time. Why? More on that in a moment. The renovation The new look didn't exactly fill me with euphoria. One negative aspect is particularly noticeable outside: While the seating under the roof has been retained, the wooden wall facing the street has been removed. This means that the – sometimes considerable – traffic now penetrates completely unfiltered. Why this decision was made is beyond me. The Restroom There is exactly one – for women, men, and people with disabilities alike. I'm surprised that such a thing is even permitted. The location of this "restroom" is also anything but well-chosen. What architect would think of something like that? I also find the music in the restaurant too loud. The Food It used to be really good, but what I experienced today in no way justifies the price of €18.39. First, you have to order at one of the two terminals – via a giant touchscreen. If you're unlucky, both are occupied, and you'll have to wait. Then you click through a veritable flood of options, pay directly at the terminal (by card only), and receive a receipt with a pickup code. Then it's a matter of watching the screen until your order is marked "ready for pickup," then going to the counter and getting everything yourself. Self-service in the truest sense of the word. You used to get your drink in a glass – now it's a plastic cup. The fries are served in a small plastic box, a smaller portion than before, when they were in a paper bag in a glass. They're not hot, by the way – more like lukewarm, just like the burrito. Both tasted okay, but just not warm enough. Conclusion What used to be a real highlight now has the charm of a camping trip – but without the coziness. Plastic cups instead of glass, lukewarm fries, lukewarm burrito, self-service from ordering to clearing – and all at a price that, in my opinion, is completely unjustified. Even if the taste was okay, the overall package just doesn't fit anymore. One thing is for sure: I won't be coming back.

We used loved it before the renovation and changing the recipes. But they changed the recipe for vegetarian burritos and falafel tasted like yufka from the döner shop!

I stopped by Burro Burro in Konstanz back in 2018 while crossing from Switzerland into Germany. I wasn’t expecting much, but the burrito was so good it completely surprised me. Definitely a spot I’d love to return to someday.

I'd love to eat here several times a week. Unfortunately, I live in northern Germany. Everything is perfect here. The food, the atmosphere, the friendliness, the prices. Everything is top notch.

Suitable for a snack bar, the food is okay. A bit different from what you might be used to in Mexican food. Small inside, but quite nice to sit outside. In summer... You can easily order yourself at one of the two gates inside. However, you always have to keep an eye on the screens to pick up your order yourself. It's annoying and uncomfortable. Otherwise, the food gets cold at the counter! The waiters behind the counter were often preoccupied with themselves. Customers were sometimes ignored. It's a shame.

We ordered the beef burritos. They tasted good, BUT where was the meat in the burritos? I could tell there were meat fibers between the beans, rice, etc....it could easily pass as a vegetarian burrito. Well, if you like a beef burrito without beef, this is the place for you. The service and waitresses were very friendly.

Sorry but after the remodeling, the quality fell horribly, portions got smaller, the personnel extremely rude, at least the tanned cashier old woman, and they don't bring the food to your table anymore and you can't order the food with the cashier??? Even with 2 lines of 6 people for the machines they still send me to the machine cause they don't wanna take my order, unfortunately I won't be coming here anymore, there's better restaurants in Konstanz, it's a shame how good it used to be and how bad it's right now.

Dude, I've been waiting for my food for 3 hours

After a long day of walking and eating nothing but a coffee , finally decided to stop to eat something and by impulse I stoped by Burroburro , I asked for a beef burrito and ice tea , and went to sit outside ,it was raining a lot and I think it made the time i was there better , the inside of this small fast food restaurant looks tropical and cool the outside has some large wooden tables , the people in there where great delivered the food fast ,since I'm not big fan of mexican food ,but love beens and some beef , the wrap I got was very tasty even the sweet potato fries where great.

The burros taste great, the sweet potato fries are wonderful too. Price-performance is great!

Amazing place!! A simple concept executed well can become like Burro burro. It has 5 different burritos (Beef, Pork, Chicken, Veg, Falafel) and house made ice tea can be added to Burro for 1.5 Euros additional price. Also some attractive desserts and side dishes (Sweet potato fries). The atmosphere is also calm and makes it a good place to hangout with friends or to stop by to eat when you are on vacation.

Delicious food and the music is always on point

By far the best restaurant in Konstanz! Been a regular customer throughout school and have rarely been disappointed! Unfortunately not the extensive range as in the industrial area, but a better ambience!

A great and, above all, delicious place to have a filling meal. The ingredients appear fresh, taste very good in the given combinations and customer requests are always taken into account. It's also great that they make an effort to adapt the menu and add new items, like the Burro of the month (munch). All in all a great spot.

Unfortunately, you don't really know what you're getting here. The Happy Chicken Burrito, for example, is not made with chicken but with turkey.

Ich habe im Sommer während dem Stadtgarten- und Seenachtsfest für dieses Restaurant gearbeitet und muss leider sagen, dass ich sehr enttäuscht bin. Wir haben bis zu 9,5 Stunden täglich ohne Pause gearbeitet, und das Ganze lief unangemeldet ab. Als ich nach der Bezahlung gefragt habe, wurde mir zunächst zu wenig überwiesen, und auch nach mehrmaligem Nachhaken wurde der Betrag nicht vollständig ausgeglichen. Solch ein Umgang mit Mitarbeiter*innen ist respektlos und inakzeptabel. Gäste sollten wissen, dass sie ein Unternehmen unterstützen, das scheinbar wenig Wert auf faire Arbeitsbedingungen legt. Interessierte, die dort arbeiten möchten, sollten sich genau überlegen, ob sie unter solchen Umständen tätig sein wollen. Ich hoffe, das Restaurant zieht Lehren daraus und überdenkt sein Verhalten gegenüber seinen Mitarbeiter*innen. Faire Bezahlung und Respekt am Arbeitsplatz sollten selbstverständlich sein.

Liebes Burro Burro-Team, bin seit Jahren Stammkunde bei Euch. Aber irgendwie nervt es, dass man nie weiß, was man bekommt. Das hängt wohl von der Tagesform des Rollers ab, kanns mir nicht anders erklären. Mild bestellt und mittel bekommen, extra Käse bestellt und ohne Käse bekommen, mild bestellt und scharf bekommen, mal kalt und mal warm, mal in Ordnung gefüllt und mal fast nur mit Reis, extra Soße mal unfallfrei und manchmal komplett in der Tüte ausgelaufen, usw. Warum gibts da keine Standards? Sorry, das nervt echt extrem, denn wenn die Tagesform stimmt, dann schmeckts und macht Bock. Vielleicht gehört diese Lotterie auch dazu, denn wenn mal alles passt, dann freut man sich doppelt.

Waited 30 minutes for a burrito that was inedible and was missing meat. After I tried to inquire with the employee, I was brushed off in a very unfriendly manner and was told that a meat-rice mixture was delivered and that Burro Burro had no influence on it. I should complain in the kitchen. (Constance branch) Definitely not recommended!

The burritos with fries were delicious! My friends from Spain visited me for 5 days and out of all the food they said Burro Burro won! We had a nice, pleasant stay and the service was competent and friendly, which made us feel very comfortable.

Very tasty burritos, the ingredients change every quarter (?) to keep them fresh seasonally. Unfortunately, the portions of sweet potato fries used to be larger, but they still taste very good! The vegetarian burrito is definitely recommended, but I personally don't think the one with pork is particularly good. Iced tea is cheaper if you ordered a burrito! Cheese nachos are also great, but of course the burritos are the highlight. Very nice staff Always.

One of the last good and affordable fast food restaurants in Konstanz. Here you can get great burritos with fresh ingredients and the best sweet potato fries quickly and easily for a fair price. The iced teas, especially when served with a burro, are also worth recommending. If you want a quick meal in the city of Konstanz, you've come to the right place.

After a long day, I ordered something to pick up, although there were hardly any customers there when I picked it up and they couldn't get their only order right at the time. The vegetarian burrito then became a beef burrito and I was naive enough to think you could trust the service and only realized when I got home that they had made the wrong one. So my vegetarian friend was allowed to go hungry.

Tried it for the first time at the city garden festival... super tasty! Plus fresh coriander...the vegetarian wrap was really, really good! The price is more than correct compared to certain fast food chains.

I was harassed by a screaming child. I'm still outraged that even the staff couldn't intervene because the parents were so militantly behind their child's free upbringing. Anyone who is too incompetent to use contraception should at least have their consequences under control so that other people don't experience this problem. The food was at least mediocre, I liked the iced tea but the Burro of the Mampf and the nachos couldn't get me off my feet. I would prefer a takeaway counter over seating, because if the comfort of other guests cannot be guaranteed due to little devils and incompetent parents, for me this is just a place to pick up delicious iced tea.
