Kebap& steak in Mannheim

Hello zsm, I had dinner there today with my family and a friend. There was neither soda nor bread with the meal, which is not usual in a 5 star restaurant. You could write a book about the service, the food came a little too late and was too late. There was also a hefty bill of €250 for 4 soups, 1 fries (for children), 4 drinks and a meat plate for 2 people. If you love your wallet, cook at home.

We were here for the first time today and we were definitely disappointed! The food was cold and the portions were way too expensive for the price!! The taste and quality of the food was still good, but unfortunately we won't be coming back...

Everything was cold: kebab plate, iskender, rice, fries and the salad was dry with a loveless curry dressing. I told the staff to please tell the chef and was greeted with a grin. Normally, when something like this happens, you are offered a little something, but there wasn't even any tea (which is actually good form in every Turkish restaurant simply because of the culture)

Kelle Paça soup was good, but the doner meat was cold and overly spicy. We asked for a wrapped couplet and it came with pieces of meat. When we said this, they did nothing and just said bon appetit and passed on. The staff is good.

Unfortunately far too little meat (5 small pieces of lamb) and mini Adana for so much money! It was really a children's portion 🤦🏻‍♂️ Don't go to this greedy store again!!!

I only review the food! Ordered steak 250 g. The quality of the steak was not good. Extremely coated in fat and served with 4 mini potatoes as a side dish. I also doubt that the steak was 250g. I think the price of €32 is too expensive. We found fried eggplant, zucchini and peppers, tomatoes with yogurt, price €7.90, very expensive. There was hardly anything on the plate. The taste wasn't good either. Price performance is not right. !

Very bad. Service is worse than others.

This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The order was incomplete. The service? Disaster! The employees seemed totally disinterested. And then the waiting time – far too long! We had to wait forever even though there were hardly any other guests there. Absolutely disappointing, I definitely won't go here again.

Overrated , food is not very tasty

The breakfast buffet was absolutely fantastic! There was a huge selection of specialties that left nothing to be desired - from savory to sweet delicacies, everything was there. I was particularly impressed by the selection of teas, which were offered free of charge and without a limit. For only around 15 euros per person, the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The central location on the market square is another plus point, as you can have breakfast right in the heart of the city. In addition, the employees were incredibly friendly and accommodating. A perfect start to the day - I'll definitely be back!

The meat looked nice, that's why we all ordered kebab plates, boringly served slightly warm fries hidden under the meat Lavaş so that the meat should have a lot of effect, and the meat was really cold. Salad only came 2 minutes later.. The service was very unfriendly and the tip was 1.60 and they didn't even say thank you. Ordered Turkish coffee with tea at the end never arrived. For €65 we were treated as if we were begging for food. So sorry, not only here in many places in the catering industry you are often disappointed. Finally, the tea at the beginning also came cold. I ordered the ribeye steak medium and the quality of the meat was okay, a little too fatty and not seasoned enough. With my colleagues we ordered a total of over 100 euros and didn't get any black tea from the house, which was a real shame given the high order value. The employees were friendly and the service itself was good.

Disastrous service!! I just wanted a kebab to take away. 4 different waiters redirected me to the next one and in the end I still wasn't served! Every ml I asked the waiter he pointed to another waiter!

Food = 0 Service = -10 Ambient -10 The service staff sucks (I don't rate the others who looked after us) Everyone who came after us got their meals, only ours didn't arrive, and it took an hour. The door to the sinks is extremely squeaky and they don't care at all.

We read through the mixed reviews and decided we would give the store a chance. Unfortunately we can only give 3 out of 5 stars. Upon request, they made us a mixed starter plate, even though it wasn't on the menu. Top! The salad (37) was good on its own if the salad wasn't drowned in the sauce which made everything very salty. They simply didn't respond to my criticism that it was actually delicious and just cleared it up. The grill plate (166) was also good, but the meat became tougher the colder it got. In my opinion, what is currently not possible is that no one has checked on us, even though 2G+ applies. A good 90% of the waiters also walked around without masks. Some customers, apparently acquaintances or regular customers, were also exempt from the mask requirement. A reason for us to avoid the store for now.

My third and last visit, indifferent waiters, zero service, no go

Unfortunately, our visit was not the experience we had hoped for. The restaurant was very full, which wouldn't be a problem in principle, but there seemed to be far too few staff on duty to cope with the rush. We had to wait a long time before anyone even took our order. After the food was finally served, no one asked whether we would like to order another drink. Overall, the service seemed stressed and overwhelmed. In the end we also had to wait a long time for the bill. Such delays unnecessarily prolonged the entire evening and significantly diminished the enjoyment. Overall it was unfortunately a disappointing experience and I hope management increases staff accordingly to improve the quality of service.

Excellent Turkish cuisine with quick service

Burger burnt on the outside after 40 minutes, raw on the inside and no fries.. There is a charge for tea and the waiters get upset about children The waiters who grill your meat have cigarettes behind their ears like at the train station????? Never again

Everything was just great today. The staff who mainly served us (Abdullah and Eren) were very friendly and very helpful, my food *ELİ BÖĞRÜNDE* was more than great, which I will always remember, can only recommend, thank you very much for those who contributed. Thanks, see you next time.

I have been a loyal guest at Anggus Restaurant for a long time, but unfortunately the quality of the food has significantly deteriorated recently. My last visit was particularly disappointing. The salad that used to be fresh and plentiful is becoming smaller and smaller while the price of it continues to rise. This is very disappointing and almost seems outrageous. The problem with the meat was even more serious. Even though I had specifically mentioned that I wanted my meat well cooked, it was served to me rare. This is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant of this level. I get the impression that Anggus relies on the fact that it is always busy and therefore no longer cares about the satisfaction of each individual guest. This attitude is very unfortunate. I hope that my experience encourages other guests not to simply accept such shortcomings. This is the only way we can ensure that Anggus once again treats every customer as a king, as it once did.

I ordered an Angus kebab plate with fries In terms of taste, it was a bomb I come from the Ulm area. I will go here again especially for food. The 3 hour drive is worth it.

This is the best Turkish restaurant I've been to. Everything tastes incredibly delicious and the portions are large. Even in Turkey, I've never eaten sooooo well. Absolutely fantastic

There is no problem with the food, but the staff need good manners. I called them to the table 4 times at 22:55. They were worried about cleaning the shop. The owner of the place does not tidy up the place when there are customers and the staff are very disrespectful. I asked for kunefe. At 22:50, he says there is no kunefe at this time and serves kunefe to another table. But I advise the owner of the place to review his staff (((A worm rots an apple, an apple rots a crate of apples))) But I'm sure the owner of the place does not approve of such behavior, remember that 1 person means a thousand people

Quiet atmosphere even though the restaurant was full. Not common in Turkish restaurants. Soft background music and modern furnishings. Service very attentive, fast and friendly. Food very tasty, as Turkish dishes should taste. Homemade Ayran very tasty.

Without a reservation, you can get a table straight away after waiting for 1-2 minutes, even in very busy times. Food was very tasty and arrived very quickly. The price was also completely reasonable for the food. Unfortunately it was quite loud because of the other guests so you sometimes had to ask several times what the person opposite was saying. Still a very good restaurant and will definitely come back more often 🫶

Unfortunately, the meat is not good for the kebab because it is tough and has pieces of cartilage and fat and is not easy to chew. The meat is not tender but rather firm. But it definitely tastes good with a burger if it's minced. You can tell that it's natural, but the beef is probably too old and that's why the meat is tough. It's also greasy. The portions are small and the prices are high.

Döner plate: I didn't like it, carelessly presented, salad nothing special, fries too dry, pieces of pitta under the meat. Doesn't seem to be of high quality. Only there is quite a lot, service is quick and good, prices are ok.

Today we ordered a grill platter with rice and fries as a side dish for two (!) people. The price was 75€. The platter arrived without any side dishes - we had to ask for these often as they had probably been forgotten - and the platter was very lean. For the price and apparently for two people, it wasn't worth it at all. The quantity was only for one person and when the side dishes came, they were just as poor. Of course we complained to the waiters - unfortunately they didn't speak any German at all, so it was impossible to discuss anything. In the end we kept the plate and ate it anyway, but it was the first and last time we would come to this restaurant to eat. We are extremely disappointed!

Everything we ate that day was really delicious. The kebab was extremely good, I can practically say VERY GOOD. I can recommend the restaurant, but there is a point deduction for TEA! Yes, you read that right, tea, they charged almost €2 for a small tea (small teleglasses) when everyone else wanted to serve it at the house's expense and see the money for it. So I experienced that for the first time. NO GO

Very good food and excellent service!

I drive 2.5 hours for this restaurant, the taste is simply a 10 out of 10. The only thing that I find unfortunate is that when 8 people sit at the table, 4 of them only get their food when the other 4 are finished. But there's nothing wrong with the food.

We arrived here at 12 at night and ordered two portions of Adana. The service we received was a disaster. The lettuce was so minimal it was almost ridiculous, consisting only of green cabbage. There was no pepper or anything else with the Adana dishes. A big disappointment. I absolutely do not recommend it. I spoke to the waiter and he said it was because it was close to closing. But when it comes to collecting the money, it doesn't matter. If you want to close, just say so. Don't try to take people for a fool

I ordered the mixed grill plate and what can I say? Everything was super delicious! The kebab was crispy and juicy and therefore my favorite. The waiters came very often and asked if everything was okay, they were very friendly and helpful. The ambience was very nice and the air conditioning made eating more pleasant.

You get really good quality food here. The service seemed a bit stupid because I had to order my drink twice. Relaxed atmosphere with a good location right on the market square. I'd love to come back

It was one of the best Turkish restaurants I've been to. I ordered lahmacun, meatballs and angus doner. It was all very delicious. The staff was also very friendly and the service was very good. If I ever come to Manheim again this is definitely where I will eat.

We were there for the first time. The breakfast buffet has a large selection and is really tasty, but the rolls were very dry, as if they had been sitting there for a long time. As an alternative, I ate pide with sheep's cheese. There are plenty of spreads and the staff is very friendly and attentive.

Great place to dine in with the family. The host and the chef as well as the staff were great and very friendly. The atmosphere was spectacular and food was delicious. We will be back for sure.

Service was poor, the table was only cleaned after asking, cards were only brought after 15 minutes, were looked at several times but ignored even though you raised your hand or called. I don't understand the "hype" about food either because the chicken wasn't even cooked through and the lamb and Adana didn't taste good either.

I don't know who your waiter, Lokman, is, but his presence there gives you a negative point. He doesn't care, the food is burnt, he doesn't care, he makes arrogant gestures with his hands and weapons. You are an absolute disgrace, I'm not exaggerating, my 50 euros of money was wasted, we couldn't eat any of the food.

We ate at Anggus during the week. The store was busy but you can always find a spot. Due to the size of the restaurant, there is a lot of staff—but not everyone takes orders. This significantly extended the process until you could place your order. Nevertheless, the wait was worth it! The side salad was very crunchy and the bread was fresh out of the oven 😋 The meat was also well prepared, just as we wanted it. Compared to other restaurants in the area, Anggus is a little more expensive but definitely worth it. As good as it tastes, the price is completely justified for the quality. We were definitely satisfied and have saved Anggus as our restaurant of choice for our visit to Mannheim!

The mixed menu I chose was very good. The services were fast even though it was crowded. When I went to Mannheim, I finally found the place I would like to visit, but I was a little disappointed when I learned that teas were charged 1.90€. Because in a group of 10-12 friends, we paid an average price of approximately €30 per person. We thought tea would be a treat, just like in other restaurants, but unfortunately it was not. Still, overall we were pleased with the food. Maybe they will reconsider the tea issue.

I was there with my colleagues in the afternoon, the restaurant was well attended, but there were still a few seats available. The waiters were friendly and quick. Unfortunately, there were still some complications during our visit: - There was mushy (old) green lettuce in my salad. - There was a hair in a colleague's food. - Another colleague had to wait forever for his food, he got it when the others were almost finished. - Someone ordered a portion to take away at home and this order was completely lost and had to be reordered. Otherwise, the food was tasty and well priced, but I won't go there a second time.

I have to say that the food was very tasty, considering the prices...well. It's a bit expensive considering how big the portions are, and then the drinks... only small drinks. So they don't offer a large water bottle that you can drink together in a relaxed atmosphere. On the one hand, you can understand it because of increased sales and so on, but in this respect you should also be more customer-friendly. I would say that it's a high level of complaining, but it's also somehow justified.

It's the first time I've eaten Angus meat doner kebab. The doner plate is filling and they also serve a small salad on the side.

Had breakfast here with 5 people today. Definitely the first and last time! The service is underground!!! When I took away the empty dishes myself, I was informed that this was only done by the staff! Then you should perhaps teach this to the staff during their induction. We were largely ignored by the service employee. The orange juice was lukewarm, the butter was completely melted and the eggs in every form offered were still limp (except the boiled ones, which were extremely dry). You could avoid the black tea queue by simply placing two or three teapots. When we went to the toilet, the toilet lid fell down to the side and we had to clean it from time to time. Let's keep in mind that the music in the quiet place shouldn't be so loud. My conclusion: The next time I visit a new restaurant, I'll first take a look at the toilets... that would have saved us money and trouble!

The tea system is very bad, there is only one samovar and I spent most of my breakfast without tea because it was tea time every time I looked. At least on busy days there might be another samovar. Also, it wasn't available in a large glass. This means that the tea, which I would buy less due to the already busy queue, will be finished faster... Additionally, a waiter walked by and took our unfinished plate without asking. We stared after him. I'm giving 3 stars because the poor quality of service overpowers the food and atmosphere...

The food was okay, but it is unacceptable if the order takes half an hour to arrive and comes piecemeal. There were 5 of us there and we ordered. Two orders came very quickly. The other orders took a long time to arrive; after asking, it turned out that they had been forgotten. Then the third order came, the fourth and fifth didn't. After asking again, we received the last two. It's just stupid when two three of the group eat and others watch, even though you wanted to eat together.

This shop should definitely be on the list for doner kebab lovers. Angus beef kebab is something special. They also have classic and new delicious dishes that finally bring variety to Turkish gastronomy. However, it is very warm in summer. Since it is always busy, it can happen that the waiters are overwhelmed for a brief moment, but they are still very nice and helpful.

To be honest, I have never eaten such a bad kebab, chicken and sis in Mannheim. The food was a complete disaster. I'm from Adana and I've never eaten such bad Adana. Very surprising that there is so much going on here.

We waited 1 hour for the food, the meat was much too dry, the portions were very small, a lamb skewer only consisted of 5 small pieces of lamb. The service was overwhelmed, a mixed grill plate was served without a kebab. When I asked, I was rudely told that they couldn't keep up with the kebab. I can't recommend it.

If you come here, you should definitely eat the Döner Plate! There is no Doner Meat like this! There is no Taste like this! The Taste of Meat we are looking for is at this address! Beyond delicious!! I had dinner there today. In my opinion, the service is very slow and you often have to remind the waiters about your order. The food was okay and the price was okay. The chairs outside were really uncomfortable for me. Four of us were there for dinner.

Ordered mixed plates. There was very very little kebab meat on it. After we complained, the CHEF said, sorry, we're out of meat instead of putting something else on it. Paid 24 euros. Didn't even get full! Never again

Delicious food - no question! Small portions for a bit overpriced - it's okay. But when it comes to kebab pizza - bringing meat with peppers is anti-social. That's not what it says on the menu, hence only 2.5 stars. Can you do better.

An impertinence to serve cold food! I will avoid this store in the future. After watching positive YouTube videos, I really wanted to eat here too. The Mercimek soup we ordered was good. However, standard. The garlic sauce that was ordered was already added by the waiter and not brought to the table as usual, where everyone can add it themselves. He apparently knows my taste and knows how I like it🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ For the main course I ordered a Döner Dürüm. Unfortunately everything was cold. I pointed this out to the waiter. He just said that the toaster was broken or something and that's why they couldn't warm up the Dürümb bread. No apology. Turned around and left. The Dürüm bread was tough as leather. Somehow it didn't fit together. Everything is far too dry and now let's be honest... It's an absolute disgrace to offer such a children's portion for the money. Shame on you if you still have some……. It's best we leave it alone Never again.

We would like to thank our waiter Eren, he gave us very friendly advice. The food is great, there is a lot of staff, i.e. H. we received our order quickly. With the diverse selection, no wish remains unfulfilled. You get a small salad before and a traditional tea after the meal. Toilets are very clean. Underground parking right in front of the door.

Been here several times, with friends or family. Unfortunately, the last few times it has slowed down a lot. Waiters were half-listening and given the quantity on the plate, after our friendly complaint the only answer we got was "what should I do, I don't have that much left in the kitchen" Afterwards, as a nice little gesture, they would bring us sauces and meze plates. Of course they didn't come either. Finally, an additional fee was added for the “fries instead of rice” 😂 No problem, we chose that ourselves. But as a gesture of goodwill, they actually leave it out. Don't come here anymore. No recommendation.

Impressively beautiful restaurant. Service is extremely friendly and super attentive. The kebab meat is layered from steak meat (Black Angus) and grilled. Absolutely top class! The taste is excellently balanced. Here the meat/fat ratio is 100% correct. One point deducted for the Adana spit. I had 2 bone splinters in my mouth. You have to be careful, otherwise it can turn out badly. Of course, this does not reduce the quality of the meat. See you next time!

I can completely agree with the small portion reviews. I also think the prices are considerably too expensive. The meat was too hard in some places, felt like it had lain for a long time and sometimes tasted that way. Unfortunately, the music in the background is also very annoying!

My experience at Anggus was outstanding. The delicious food, excellent service, and pleasant atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone in Mannheim looking to enjoy authentic Turkish cuisine. I highly recommend the Anggus special döner for a flavorful and satisfying meal. I also tried Anggus mixed kebab but the gyro is the best.

The head soup was good. It is better than other places. It is not available everywhere. It is good compared to Germany. Iskender is good, but what spoiled the iskender was too much tomato paste and spoiled its taste. The food arrived very quickly, I was surprised and happy. Kemal, the waiter who took care of us, was good. Overall, the atmosphere was good. I only deduct one star from the extra tomato paste put on Iskender.

The Turkish restaurant is great for a breakfast that focuses on Turkish dishes. For €14, the buffet is free for you Juice and tea are free, but you have to pay for coffee and the selection of breakfast is limited. Everything was fine and fresh, just nothing special or worth driving there. Service was okay Despite everything, you can miss it

Very tasty food, good and fast service. Because we liked it so much, we were there two days in a row.

In my opinion the best restaurant in Mannheim. We tried many things on the menu. All of them are my favorite except Islender.

Three of us had eaten and drank, tea was expensive, and the kebab shop tea was left at the end of the day. If it comes in the cafe, I would say you don't like it and take it back. Of course, it is the business's discretion whether to offer it or not, but you are upsetting your customers for nothing. Things I liked: Lamb shish, döner and beyti were great. I can say it was perfect. Light buttermilk will do. Place: A clean, nice, tidy place with chairs, tables etc. Of course, we couldn't sit outside, everyone was smoking loudly. Can't breathe because of the smoke. If we are Turks, why don't we smoke? We are tired of smokers.

My colleagues and I went to Anggus for lunch. The food was outstanding! The quality is excellent. The service perfect. For starters we had mezze, which the 5 of us shared. All dips were homemade and super tasty! For the main course we had the special kebab, Iskender, Dürüm and Ezme Kebap. Each of us was more than full and everything was perfect. We shared Künefe for dessert. It was the perfect ending. Highly recommended for everyone!
