We were there on August 2, 2025, and we highly recommend the restaurant. The food is delicious, and the view is pleasant. The service was very good, and our food arrived very quickly. We each had a delicious starter (salad and antipasti plate), a main course (chicken risotto and Odenwald schnitzel), and a dessert (mini cheesecake and budino).

We had the great pleasure of celebrating our wedding here this weekend. From the planning stage, we were very satisfied and always felt well advised. We could reach out at any time with questions and received immediate answers. Even our special requests were accommodated in a friendly manner. We could truly relax, as the boathouse takes a lot of the preparation work off our hands. The staff was very attentive throughout the day and late into the night. We were always served with a smile. They also repeatedly asked us if we had any requests, even though they read our every wish from our lips. The food was exceptional. From the finger food and appetizers to the outstanding buffet and dessert afterwards, all our guests were absolutely thrilled and will definitely make their way to the restaurant again in the future. We received only positive feedback about this beautiful location with a view of the Neckar River and would like to thank you again for an unforgettable day!

We would like to thank you very much for the excellent service and the competent advice on the menu selection. Our group of 20 people, all from Bavaria, was completely satisfied. The authentic German cuisine, the appealing ambiance, the outstanding service, and the high quality of the food completely won us over. We would gladly award it another 5 stars. In our opinion, the value for money is absolutely reasonable.

I would like to point out that I didn't feel comfortable during my visit to the Bootshaus Mannheim. Some male employees were very pushy, which I and other women found unpleasant. I also have the impression that critical reviews are deliberately deleted if the owner doesn't like them. Please take care of yourselves and pay attention to your feelings. I would like to see more respect and professionalism from the staff – especially in a public restaurant.

We were there with two small children. For us adults, there was the regular menu plus extras on a blackboard, and for the children, a children's menu with pens and markers. We had what felt like the best table on the terrace with a direct view of the Neckar River. The children were simply delighted, and we were able to enjoy a truly delicious meal in peace. Even changing the children's menu was no problem for the excellent kitchen. All the service staff were unobtrusive, courteous, and friendly. An all-round successful evening.

We rented the conservatory for our wedding reception and were very satisfied overall. The room was beautifully decorated, everything was prepared as agreed, and the service staff was absolutely top-notch – attentive, friendly, and solution-oriented. Even spontaneous requests were accommodated, for example, doors were removed and later replaced to accommodate our decorations. One small downside: The rest of the restaurant was also rented, and the other group was significantly larger. Unfortunately, especially towards the end of the evening, the noise level from their DJ was so high that our own music was barely audible. If we had planned more elaborate music, it would have been annoying – but it was still within reason. Nevertheless, it's something to keep in mind when booking at the same time. All in all, a beautiful location with fantastic staff. Our guests were also thrilled. We would definitely be happy to come back – whether for a dinner for two or for a future event.

We felt incredibly comfortable and well looked after the entire time. Not only we as the bride and groom, but also all our guests were absolutely thrilled. The venue is simply breathtaking and was so beautifully and lovingly decorated, creating a magical atmosphere. The entire staff was exceptionally kind, attentive, and helpful – a huge compliment to the entire team! The food and drinks were simply delicious and exceeded all expectations. It was truly a culinary highlight for us and our guests. We are extremely satisfied and very happy to have chosen the bootshaus as the location for our wedding. It was the best decision and made our day an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend the bootshaus for events of any kind, especially weddings! Very delicious food. The veal schnitzel was perfect. Even though we were already full, we treated ourselves to two scoops of sorbet, which were also delicious. The service was very attentive.

Yesterday, two of us went to the Boathouse right at 6:00 PM. Everything was available, and we were seated at a table in the blazing sun with no view, even though nothing was reserved, which became clear in the next few hours. The service was poor... the summer pasta for 22.5 was a disaster... it tasted like Knorr-Fix from a packet!

The menu offers very little choice when it comes to salads. The biggest disappointment there is the "Greek Salad." It should be renamed "Greek Style Salad - House Special." But not the usual or colloquially protected Greek Salad. For almost €20, you get half a melon with some olives and feta crumbles on top. At our request, they tried to make us a regular salad anyway. It was simply a disappointment. For the same price. The food is out of proportion in terms of taste and price. You feel like you've been ripped off. Never again!

We had a wonderful barbecue evening with about 100 people on the boathouse terrace. A wonderful atmosphere, a fantastic, helpful team (even during the very complex preparations due to special requests). Highly recommended!

We celebrated our wedding at the Boathouse in May 2025 and couldn't be happier! From the first viewing/meeting to our reception, we felt absolutely at home! The decor, the tasteful ambiance, and the covered outdoor terrace, coupled with the perfect food and the excellent selection of drinks, made the day truly special for us. Communication was absolutely professional, reliable, understanding, and always on an equal footing. All of our wishes were considered and implemented. A huge compliment goes to Ms. Lemaić and the entire Boathouse team for their dedicated commitment and dedication! Not only did we find the location, the food, and the service absolutely outstanding, but our guests also gave us nothing but positive feedback. In retrospect, we wondered if there was anything that could have been done better. In short: There was nothing, because everything was already implemented to such a high standard! I had a very good experience with the boathouse. It is very clean and nicely furnished, everything tastes great and the price-performance ratio is more than fair. With the new terrace you also have the opportunity to eat outside without the sun bothering you. I can highly recommend it because it is also child-friendly and the staff is very accommodating

Today, three of us went to the Bootshaus for a business lunch – and once again, this restaurant impressed us all. The moment you enter, you sense the special atmosphere: stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean, and with an ambiance that immediately feels inviting. You simply feel at home. The meal was a true highlight. From the starter to the main course to the dessert – every course was perfectly balanced, outstanding in taste, and lovingly presented. We were particularly impressed by the excellent service. Bilal, who usually works at the bar, took the time to chat with us and repeatedly asked if we needed anything. His friendly and courteous manner made the evening even more enjoyable. Our waiter – whose name I unfortunately don't know – was also extremely attentive and warm. I've been here several times and will definitely come back. A big thank you to the entire team – you make the Bootshaus a very special place!

Great place! I've been there several times, and it's always been great. Not only is the food (starters, main courses, and dessert) good, but the service staff is also commendable. They're always friendly and seem very relaxed. At the Bootshaus, you really feel like a guest. The tables are a bit too close together, but that's my only criticism. I highly recommend the Bootshaus.

I organized a dinner there for 23 people in the winter garden for my walkout. The performance of the Bootshaus team was truly outstanding in terms of event management, equipment, service, kitchen and cellar. My guests and I were completely satisfied.

You don't have to write much because it's really very good. Service: You will be greeted politely at the entrance and then taken to your seat. The service is very polite and attentive. Service rules are observed in detail. People are always attentively asking what they want at the table. The service knows its offers in detail!! The atmosphere is very inviting, harmonious, simple and modern. The tables are very well set. AWESOME! On the ceiling you can think about how to hide all the cable ducts, but that's just chatter. Unfortunately, the menu is written very small and may... can be difficult to read in the dark room atmosphere. The food itself was served in beautiful plates. There was schnitzel and after a short time the news came that there was no more potato salad. It's annoying that the service didn't have this information in advance, because the offered alternative of fries or vegetables was somehow quickly thrown into the room. Unfortunately, the question about a new menu selection was not asked. The schnitzel was very good and very big! There were lemon fries and blueberries? and then it stopped, on the beautiful plate. No lettuce leaf or some decorative love. Too bad. But to conclude, the restaurant is 100% recommended!!!

It is also perfect for business meals with colleagues from abroad as the English menu is available and the service staff can also act perfectly in English. I was expecting much more from the place

Very nice restaurant with a friendly staff. The food was also really tasty. The only negative point is that you couldn't reorder the side dish (in our case fries with the rump steak) for another side dish. My friend wanted root vegetables, which was listed as a side dish, instead of fries. That wouldn't work. You have to order it separately, whether she wants the fries or not. For me it wasn't about the price, I just find it inflexible towards the guest. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant to everyone :)

2 or 3 course menus are offered. Small menu, but there was something for everyone (including vegetarian). The food was extremely delicious and there was enough. It is very nicely presented. The staff thinks for themselves! So big praise at this point! The dessert was ordered in the non-alcoholic version, so the main course was also served "alcohol-free" (without sauce, as it contained alcohol). There would be additional stars for this if this were possible. Nice atmosphere (modern yet romantically playful). There were 6 of us here and we were thrilled. We would love to come back!

We celebrated our company Christmas party at bootshaus Mannheim and were more than satisfied! Absolutely great, friendly service, great food and a beautiful ambience. When planning the event in advance, the employees in the event department were very competent, flexible and had the right solution at hand for every problem. From an event planner's point of view, I can warmly recommend the bootshaus Mannheim!

We sat outside on the terrace and were completely forgotten. We wanted to order more, but we were ignored. When it finally became apparent after two hours, we got the drink we actually wanted to order for free. Good service looks somehow different. If I hadn't noticed it in the next few minutes, I would have gone to Sascha and complained. Hope everything works out as it should on the next visit. Addendum: It was -FYI- BEFORE the closure. I'm not that old yet that I suffer from Alzheimer's and can't distinguish the boathouse from any other location. I still know where I was and where I wasn't. I doubt whether I will honor the boathouse again under these circumstances. I know many who have had similar experiences and no longer go to the boathouse. You also have to be able to deal with such criticism and not blame the guest. A simple apology would have been enough. You did the crap, not me.

Great location...and I'm pretty sure you can eat well there too. Had a larger event there with a buffet. I don't find enough choice and the taste isn't great for the price either. The service was good and the glasses were always filled quickly. The event started at 7 p.m. By the time our table arrived for dinner it was almost 9 p.m. That could have been organized better.

We were able to celebrate our wedding in the boathouse this year and were really thrilled. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Even during the planning stage, we felt like we were in good hands, as everything was coordinated and discussed together down to the smallest detail. Even last-minute changes shortly before the wedding were no problem. On the wedding day itself, the staff were really on their toes, friendly, accommodating - all the guests praised the service very much. Ms. Kühnle and her team were also always at our side as a wedding couple. The food was incredibly good even without a rehearsal meal - we also received a lot of praise here. We can therefore really recommend the boathouse without reservation - they followed all of our wishes.

The service is at a very high level, the waiters are always friendly, quick and always have an eye on the guests - when you enter you are also warmly welcomed by the guys behind the bar. The menu is clear, but the dishes are prepared to perfection, both in terms of appearance and taste. The wine selection is absolutely successful and the cocktails from the bar are at professional level. I'm not writing this review after a first visit, but after the fifth - with consistent quality throughout. Dear Bootshaus team, thank you very much!

We had dinner at bootshaus Mannheim on business and were completely satisfied. The service staff is very attentive and friendly. Excellent food and very good wines make the evening perfect. Not to forget the really modern and at the same time cozy atmosphere with a great view of the water.

The waiter did not listen to us when we were ordering food and was speaking with another waiter in parallel, and asked the same question 3 times as a result.

Very nice restaurant almost directly on the Neckar with a great view from the terrace. Very friendly staff, our dog was also welcome outside and was even given a bowl of water (without asking). The dishes tend to be rather expensive, but I think you can also taste the good quality here. The summer pasta cost €24 and was very good, although if I had been really hungry I wouldn't have been full (not a problem if I'm not hungry). I'll definitely be back. Payment possible in cash and by card.

What kind of restaurant does the boathouse want to be? It seems like the restaurant tries to cater to a wide range of tastes, which can sometimes lead to confusion. On the one hand, Bootshaus seems to want to focus on traditional German cuisine with an emphasis on schnitzel, while at the same time trying to appeal to an international clientele with Arabic and Asian dishes. This mix can be both a strength and a weakness. When 75% of diners eat schnitzel, it seems that demand for traditional German cuisine is particularly strong. It could make sense if the restaurant emphasized this focus even more and perhaps reduced the international selection a little or integrated it more clearly into a specific concept.
