Bootshaus - Cafe Restaurant Events in Mannheim

Today, three of us went to the Bootshaus for a business lunch – and once again, this restaurant impressed us all. The moment you enter, you sense the special atmosphere: stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean, and with an ambiance that immediately feels inviting. You simply feel at home. The meal was a true highlight. From the appetizer to the main course to the dessert – every course was perfectly balanced, outstanding in taste, and lovingly presented. We were particularly impressed by the excellent service. Bilal, who usually works at the bar, took the time to chat with us and repeatedly asked if we needed anything. His friendly and courteous manner made the evening even more enjoyable. Our waiter – whose name I unfortunately don't know – was also extremely attentive and warm. I've been here several times and will definitely come back. A big thank you to the entire team – you make the Bootshaus a very special place!

I organized a dinner there for 23 people in the winter garden for my walkout. The performance of the Bootshaus team was truly outstanding in terms of event management, equipment, service, kitchen and cellar. My guests and I were completely satisfied.

We were invited here for a birthday. The service is top notch, Victor left a particularly good impression, he provided first class service. The food was really delicious and fresh. We would love to come here again.

You don't have to write much because it's really very good. Service: You will be greeted politely at the entrance and then taken to your seat. The service is very polite and attentive. Service rules are observed in detail. People are always attentively asking what they want at the table. The service knows its offers in detail!! The atmosphere is very inviting, harmonious, simple and modern. The tables are very well set. AWESOME! On the ceiling you can think about how to hide all the cable ducts, but that's just chatter. Unfortunately, the menu is written very small and may... can be difficult to read in the dark room atmosphere. The food itself was served in beautiful plates. There was schnitzel and after a short time the news came that there was no more potato salad. It's annoying that the service didn't have this information in advance, because the offered alternative of fries or vegetables was somehow quickly thrown into the room. Unfortunately, the question about a new menu selection was not asked. The schnitzel was very good and very big! There were lemon fries and blueberries? and then it stopped, on the beautiful plate. No lettuce leaf or some decorative love. Too bad. But to conclude, the restaurant is 100% recommended!!!

Very nice restaurant. Highly priced but you also get very tasty food and top service. It is also perfect for business meals with colleagues from abroad as the English menu is available and the service staff can also act perfectly in English. It was a very nice evening in a lovely atmosphere. Gladly again!!

I was expecting much more from the place

Very nice restaurant with a friendly staff. The food was also really tasty. The only negative point is that you couldn't reorder the side dish (in our case fries with the rump steak) for another side dish. My friend wanted root vegetables, which was listed as a side dish, instead of fries. That wouldn't work. You have to order it separately, whether she wants the fries or not. For me it wasn't about the price, I just find it inflexible towards the guest. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant to everyone :)

2 or 3 course menus are offered. Small menu, but there was something for everyone (including vegetarian). The food was extremely delicious and there was enough. It is very nicely presented. The staff thinks for themselves! So big praise at this point! The dessert was ordered in the non-alcoholic version, so the main course was also served "alcohol-free" (without sauce, as it contained alcohol). There would be additional stars for this if this were possible. Nice atmosphere (modern yet romantically playful). There were 6 of us here and we were thrilled. We would love to come back!

We celebrated our company Christmas party at bootshaus Mannheim and were more than satisfied! Absolutely great, friendly service, great food and a beautiful ambience. When planning the event in advance, the employees in the event department were very competent, flexible and had the right solution at hand for every problem. From an event planner's point of view, I can warmly recommend the bootshaus Mannheim!

We sat outside on the terrace and were completely forgotten. We wanted to order more, but we were ignored. When it finally became apparent after two hours, we got the drink we actually wanted to order for free. Good service looks somehow different. If I hadn't noticed it in the next few minutes, I would have gone to Sascha and complained. Hope everything works out as it should on the next visit. Addendum: It was -FYI- BEFORE the closure. I'm not that old yet that I suffer from Alzheimer's and can't distinguish the boathouse from any other location. I still know where I was and where I wasn't. I doubt whether I will honor the boathouse again under these circumstances. I know many who have had similar experiences and no longer go to the boathouse. You also have to be able to deal with such criticism and not blame the guest. A simple apology would have been enough. You did the crap, not me.

this place had great vibes and ambience. the food was delicious. i got the argentine steak medallions with fries. the steak was cooked perfectly and the fries portion was very large.

Fireworks are regularly held here late in the evening without any consideration for residents and, even worse, right next to the Luisenpark where a number of animals live.

Cool and informal place for those who love good and tasty German cuisine, great place for Schnitzel in many varieties. Professional restaurant with respect to diet restrictions. Service is friendly and highly professional with an eye for the customer. It is located right next to Mannheim TV broadcasting tower outside of Luisenpark. Good parking possibilities.

Were here for a graduation party. Very friendly and attentive service staff. The food from the buffet was delicious.

Great location...and I'm pretty sure you can eat well there too. Had a larger event there with a buffet. I don't find enough choice and the taste isn't great for the price either. The service was good and the glasses were always filled quickly. The event started at 7 p.m. By the time our table arrived for dinner it was almost 9 p.m. That could have been organized better.

We were able to celebrate our wedding in the boathouse this year and were really thrilled. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Even during the planning stage, we felt like we were in good hands, as everything was coordinated and discussed together down to the smallest detail. Even last-minute changes shortly before the wedding were no problem. On the wedding day itself, the staff were really on their toes, friendly, accommodating - all the guests praised the service very much. Ms. Kühnle and her team were also always at our side as a wedding couple. The food was incredibly good even without a rehearsal meal - we also received a lot of praise here. We can therefore really recommend the boathouse without reservation - they followed all of our wishes.

And that's exactly how good gastronomy works. The service is at a very high level, the waiters are always friendly, quick and always have an eye on the guests - when you enter you are also warmly welcomed by the guys behind the bar. The menu is clear, but the dishes are prepared to perfection, both in terms of appearance and taste. The wine selection is absolutely successful and the cocktails from the bar are at professional level. I'm not writing this review after a first visit, but after the fifth - with consistent quality throughout. Dear Bootshaus team, thank you very much!

We had dinner at bootshaus Mannheim on business and were completely satisfied. The service staff is very attentive and friendly. Excellent food and very good wines make the evening perfect. Not to forget the really modern and at the same time cozy atmosphere with a great view of the water.

The waiter did not listen to us when we were ordering food and was speaking with another waiter in parallel, and asked the same question 3 times as a result.

Very nice restaurant almost directly on the Neckar with a great view from the terrace. Very friendly staff, our dog was also welcome outside and was even given a bowl of water (without asking). The dishes tend to be rather expensive, but I think you can also taste the good quality here. The summer pasta cost €24 and was very good, although if I had been really hungry I wouldn't have been full (not a problem if I'm not hungry). I'll definitely be back. Payment possible in cash and by card.

What kind of restaurant does the boathouse want to be? It seems like the restaurant tries to cater to a wide range of tastes, which can sometimes lead to confusion. On the one hand, Bootshaus seems to want to focus on traditional German cuisine with an emphasis on schnitzel, while at the same time trying to appeal to an international clientele with Arabic and Asian dishes. This mix can be both a strength and a weakness. When 75% of diners eat schnitzel, it seems that demand for traditional German cuisine is particularly strong. It could make sense if the restaurant emphasized this focus even more and perhaps reduced the international selection a little or integrated it more clearly into a specific concept.

Had a wedding celebration was a successful day

We celebrated our wedding with a free wedding ceremony in the boathouse last Saturday and it was incredibly touching, festive, delicious - fantastic! The guests and we were not only absolutely thrilled with the location (first the free wedding ceremony and reception on the rainproof, beautiful terrace, then dinner and special program in the hall as well as the party/dance floor and photo box area in the restaurant in the evening), we all loved it The staff is incredibly professional, attentive and very accommodating - you really appreciate that on such a special day. There was always a smile on all of the service staff's faces and here and there a humorous joke on their tongues. The food was gigantic, the antipasti was excellent, the meat was simply perfect, the dessert was to die for and the cocktails were really particularly tasty (and beautifully served ;-). The staff even helped me without hesitation to get a present shortly before midnight for a guest whose birthday was the next day. Our endless thanks go especially to Ms. Kühnle and Ms. Jahn for the absolute all-round, worry-free package - for the many brilliant and helpful suggestions, for your open way of responding to our wishes, for the absolutely smooth, reliable and very friendly communication, for that Pitch in wherever you could (in case you don't know, they even made it into our acceptance speech before dinner ;-)! What is particularly noteworthy is that after each of our meetings/each new agreement, they wrote a summary of all the points in detail (confirmation letter) in advance, so that it was always clear what was "in scope". This made it very easy for us to keep an eye on everything until the wedding reception and not forget anything. I'm still thrilled that everything that was previously agreed came to pass and that all the service staff knew about it. The communication between service providers and the boathouse was also very pleasant and uncomplicated. We can unreservedly and wholeheartedly recommend wedding celebrations including a free wedding ceremony as well as the boathouse restaurant. Everything was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. THANK YOU that July 13, 2024 will be unforgettable for us and will remain in our hearts as a memory forever! 💚

A great location, but... Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio for food is poor. We had lamb/chicken kebabs and Wiener schnitzel with potato salad. The skewers only served as an appetizer. The fries were fried way too dark Schnitzel with boring, loveless potato salad. A pity. What good is a great ambience if you're having trouble eating

First of all, the atmosphere is great. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The portions could be a little larger since prices are high. But the food didn't live up to expectations.

We celebrated our wedding here on June 22nd with around 70 guests. It was incredible and uniquely great. The food was terrific, the service was very attentive and friendly and the location itself was a real dream. Our guests and we were overwhelmed. Thanks to Dana, the children had great activities throughout the day and had endless fun. Thanks to the entire team for supporting us and giving us an unforgettable day!

Very nice atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Unfortunately, the food at the company party wasn't really great. Turkey meat dry like the desert. Bratwursts are fairly tasteless. Unfortunately, the salad buffet was very clear with only 1 dressing to choose from (there could really be more) and side dishes (vegetables etc. were OK). Dessert was ok too. Unfortunately the tiramisu wasn't particularly good. Unfortunately drinks with too much ice. With Lillet you wouldn't really be able to get to the fruit

The boathouse was the perfect location for our company conference with 50 participants! The boathouse team looked after us competently, attentively and very lovingly both before and on the day of the event. The ambience is beautiful and the food and drinks were delicious. We particularly enjoyed the warm summer evening with delicious Aperol and Lillet on the large covered terrace with a view of the Neckar. We can fully recommend Bootshaus Mannheim for corporate events and would like to thank the entire Bootshaus team for the wonderful day.

It would have been great if they had also written in the Google opening times that it was exceptionally closed today. Went to dinner with several people, the service was slightly overwhelmed and reacted very rudely and completely unprofessionally to information about the food (significantly smaller portion than a colleague had just before), but the boss later "ironed it out" professionally. Was at the Bootshaus Mannheim for the first time today. I had dinner here today with my wife and two children. The ambience is very nice. Everything clean and tidy. You are welcomed very politely and this politeness continues throughout your entire visit. A small but very nice food menu and a very large and very detailed wine list. With good descriptions. Even children have a direct experience here. A children's menu with colored pencils is handed out immediately. You don't have to ask about this first. The food is really very good. Small selection but very good quality. My wife and I had decided on the grilled pepperoni, but what was delivered was the mixed starter platter for two people. Which wasn't a bad thing as it was extremely tasty. For the main course: The girls had the chicken skewer with salad, the boy had a children's schnitzel and I had the salmon with salad. At the end, of course, we had dessert. Conclusion about the food: it was very tasty and tasty. The amount was just right to leave you full and satisfied. The cook has spices in the cupboard and uses them too. Food top. I have to say a few more words about staff. It started with the service person who happened to be at the door and held the door open for us. We continued with the children's coloring card and the colored pencils. They were always and always interested in giving us a nice evening. You felt comfortable at all times. But good service only becomes apparent when problems arise. My little one is autistic and it's not always easy to deal with it. Since he didn't sit at the table today but kept walking up and down, some guests felt disturbed. We were approached politely with this problem. We explained it was about autism and tried to curb the little one's urge to move. But that didn't stop the staff from coming up with their own solution. They opened the patio door and he was able to live out his urge to apply on the patio. This solution shows me that you have a high level of empathy and professionalism. My conclusion: great location, great ambience, very good food and staff who do their job with passion. A lovely time for us and we will come back because a perfect evening is and remains a perfect evening.

A really nice evening! We received a very friendly welcome and were able to get seats on the terrace in beautiful sunny weather. We started with a few very good long drinks from the extensive cocktail menu, then we ordered the baked chorizo, the pickled olives and the (selection of) bread with (various) butter basket. All starters were really good. Then, with wine from the well-stocked wine list, we move on to the various main courses. The Argentinian steak, the monkfish, the salad plate with goat cheese and the pasta with green asparagus - all of excellent quality and well prepared. The only thing I would have preferred for the steak was fried potatoes instead of fries - unfortunately that wasn't possible. Then we continued with our desserts. The limoncello tiramisu was unusual and very tasty, the affogatos with Baileys or Amaretto were also a highlight!. At the end, after more wines, there was a Roku Gin and more long drinks. A big compliment to the very attentive, very friendly staff. That alone makes it worth coming back! We felt very welcome, looked after and pampered! Thank you for the lovely evening with you! We'll definitely be back!!

This guarantees a very high quality service at the end of the day. The feedback from many guests regarding the team, the food and the organization was also more than good! Unfortunately, we haven't received any professional pictures from the day yet, which is why the review is unfortunately posted here without pictures. Finally, I can only say to everyone who is still looking for a location with a great team in the background who really does a lot of work for you, this is the place for you!!!

After some time we had the opportunity to visit the boathouse in Mannheim again in April. A restaurant that offers a very nice ambience and, in our opinion, upscale gastronomy. The dishes were consistently very tasty and also very good and sufficiently portioned. The salads were fresh and the (real) Wiener Schnitzer tasted very good and is definitely recommended. Nevertheless, I don't give it full marks for the following reasons. The service was courteous and kept asking if everything was OK and towards the end if we wanted to order more drinks, which was annoying overall. At that point we had each had our 3-4 drinks and the tables next to us were free, so it wasn't really necessary to allocate the table, but I can totally understand that if it was necessary. In the end, the table was billed incorrectly and two tables were swapped, which can also happen with new staff. In summary, a lovely evening and very good food, with some potential for optimization in terms of service.

Dear boathouse, you were once really great. I fondly remember a few years ago - back then you had a large a la carte selection, nice ambience, reasonable price-performance ratio and competent staff. That's why we chose you for a little birthday party yesterday, but what happened to you? Yes, the ambience is still nice. And it's also okay to limit the menu to steaks, schnitzels and a handful of alternatives. Your right. But when this selection shrinks even further because parts of it are already gone at 7 p.m., you have a bit of a feeling that something has fundamentally changed for you. For a set of starters for 4 people you pay 30 euros. Your garlic peppers arrive, a bowl of olives, a really manageable plate of ham and salami and some hummus, along with bread and butter. The bread was partly hard and more from the day before. Really now? So with a cost of goods of perhaps 5 euros, the 30 euros quoted is a really proud price. I have to admit that since I recommended you to my guests for this evening, I felt a little embarrassed for the first time. Unfortunately, this continued like a common thread throughout the evening. The service couldn't really make a proper statement about the wine selection, it wasn't half bad. Unfortunately, the very attentive young waitress hadn't yet learned how to serve a bottle of red wine - which isn't a bad thing at all, but in the boathouse I knew, this would certainly have been explained to her in advance and not when the time came at the table with the guests . A new image of you slowly formed over the course of the evening. The biggest point of criticism was your “sauce tasting”. Do you pay around 10 euros for a selection of sauces mixed with convenience products? Sorry, but I don't understand that; with a decision like that, every trained chef should re-evaluate their career choice. And yes, no attention was paid to the fact that we had a birthday child at the table and in the end the doggy bag - even though we asked for it - was forgotten and probably ended up in the trash... it doesn't matter anymore. Yes, we addressed the topic and yes, we got espressos on the house. Unfortunately, that doesn't bring back the birthday evening. For around 350 euros / 4 people there are a few locations in the region that offer a great culinary evening. The boathouse in Mannheim will definitely no longer be there for us in the future. 1 star for the inexperienced but always trying service staff.

Die Location eignet sich hervorragend für Hochzeitsfeiern. Mit etwa 80 Personen war es nie zu eng, und die Hochzeitsgesellschaft blieb gut zusammen. Die Unterstützung bei der Organisation war ausgezeichnet, besonders da wir aus dem Ausland planten. Das Team stand uns bei allen Fragen und Empfehlungen großartig zur Seite, was zu einer reibungslosen Planung führte. Das Essen war köstlich, und die Planung sowie Abstimmung des Menüs auf unsere persönlichen Wünsche wurden gut berücksichtigt. Alle waren zufrieden. Das Servicepersonal war äußerst zuvorkommend und blieb den ganzen Abend über entspannt und freundlich. Die Dekoration der Tische etc. wurde komplett vom Bootshaus-Team übernommen. Sie haben sich wunderbar an unsere Vorgaben und Wünsche gehalten. Für die Kleinen wurden sogar Spielsachen in einer Ecke der Terrasse bereitgestellt. Am Ende der Feier mussten wir uns nur um das Einpacken unserer Geschenke kümmern, alles andere wurde für uns erledigt.
