Amazing local food! Good portions! The schwenker is a must-try!

The restaurant is quaint and very lovingly decorated. There's plenty to look at and discover while you wait for your food. The staff was polite and accommodating. Although the initial interaction seemed a bit distant and cold. I'm not sure why or what caused this. But it was also quite busy, and you certainly can't always walk around with a huge smile on your face. All in all, it was a pleasant and enjoyable evening.

The grilled meat is highly recommended. The service was very clueless when it came to drinks. But it was nice.

Food OK. Prices mid-range. 2 minor criticisms: Service could have asked if everything was OK and waited a few minutes between courses.

Unfortunately, I am not entirely satisfied with my visit. The prices are relatively high and I expected really great food. I had ordered chicken breast and was amazed that for the price there were only two small pieces on the plate without fries, but with a small salad. Unfortunately, the bread that was served before the meal was not entirely fresh. One piece was not cooked through and was replaced after the second attempt at grilling. The steak was okay but unfortunately a bit small for the price. In the end we wanted to pay and apparently the lady misunderstood us and overcharged us. We then paid a tip of 10 euros instead of a tip of 4.50. Because our babysitter was waiting for us, we were stressed and we paid by card, we only noticed this when we got home, but it can happen. It was okay so far but we won't come again. For 100 euros for two people, you can certainly expect a little more.

A wonderful restaurant with a charming, rustic atmosphere! The service staff was always polite and attentive, so we felt welcome from the start. The food was served quickly and fresh - especially the rump steak, which was cooked perfectly medium rare. The fried potatoes were crispy and tasted excellent, while the boiled potatoes and the starter salad were not a highlight for me. Overall, however, a great experience in which the service and the lovingly prepared food were particularly impressive. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy meal in a relaxed atmosphere! I'd love to come back.

My chili had no sheep at all and we don't want to talk about salt and pepper. The salad was also more than bland. The young man who served us was a bit overwhelmed, which was a shame.

The atmosphere in the casemates is unique. What is particularly pleasing, however, is when the food and service match this special ambience. This is definitely the case in the chimney cellar. There were 5 of us there and each of us was absolutely satisfied with the food. The heart of the kitchen is an open grill, on which an excellent grill master prepares first-class dishes. You can't go wrong when ordering, everything is seasoned to perfection and delicious. The price/performance ratio is right, as is the service. It certainly wasn't the last time we stopped there

I had the impression that it wasn't as good as it used to be. Service was a bit grumpy, the food was lightly seasoned, but the prices were steep. The only tip is still the garlic sauce

Unfortunately I can only give 3 stars for the food. In my opinion, the steak was far too thin and almost cooked through, even though it was ordered medium. Price/performance doesn't fit either. At 32 euros for a steak without fries (extra cost 4 euros), the quality and cooking must be top. There are better and cheaper restaurants there.

Waren dort essen !We immer vorzüglich. Was uns aber auffiel war der Preis für ein Glas Radler für 6€ das finden wir unverschämt. Dringend mal wieder kalkulieren ob dies so sein muss .

Das Essen war in Ordnung aber auch nicht mehr. Aber 7€ für ein Weizenbier ist schon unverschämt.

Wir waren mit 5 Personen im Lokal. Das Lokal hat seinen Flair, tolle Deko bis zur Decke. Die Bedienung sehr nett. Das Essen kam schnell. Mein Sohn hat uns eingeladen, weil es hier tolle Steaks gibt, allerdings wollten wir dann vor Ort andere Sachen probieren, leider falsch gewesen. Das Steak richtig toll gebraten und schmackhaft. Frutti du Mare alla Créma mit Basmatireis war sehr fein. Der Garnelen Spieß ging so, etwas zu Fest und nur ein Hauch von Knoblauchcreme und das natürlich zu wenig für den Reis, der dann leider furzdrogge war. Dann hatten wir noch 2 Portionen Spareribs knusprig gegrillt, naja. Die waren leider überwürzt und zu dunkel. Kein Geschmack mehr vom Fleisch, viel zu Salzig und Trocken. Mein Mann hat ein halbes zurück gegeben, sowas kommt normal nie vor. Ich hätte normalerweise auch ein halbes zurückgegeben, aber ich habe es meinen Söhnen zum probieren gegeben, mit der selben Resonanz. Wir kamen extra aus Saarbrücken, das nächste Essen findet wieder dort statt.

Wir haben kurzfristig dort einen Tisch bestellt und wir waren mega positiv überrascht. Tolles Lokal und das Essen war "sau" lecker . Schöne urige Ambiente. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder .

Essen ist sehr gut. Die junge Bedienung ist leider sehr unfreundlich. Die älteren sind nett. Steaks und Sparrips sind super lecker. Ambiente außergewöhnlich schön.

Wir kommen seit 25 Jahren in den Kaminkeller und dass Essen ist immer sehr gut

Sehr Schönes Ambiente, jedoch die Qualität und Menge der Speisen entspricht nicht dem Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.. Der Service ist aber hier trotzdem besonders zu erwähnen, sehr nette und schnelle Bedienung. Leider aber trotzdem unser erster und letzter Besuch.

Vorab: Ich bin sehr wählerlisch und nur schwer zufriedenzustellen, was Restaurantessen angeht, daher ist die nachfolgende Kritik von mir äußerst selten. Das Essen war erstklassisch. Als Vorspeise gab es hausgemachte Aufstriche auf frischem (!) Weißbrot, sowie eine Käsecremesuppe, die vom Service auf meine Nachfrage empfohlen wurde - was ich nun auch bestätigen kann. Beinahe hätte ich mich aber schon an den Aufstrichen satt gegessen. Zum Glück habe ich mich beherrscht. Denn mein Rumpsteak war on point medium und von exzellenter Qualität. Der Geschmack der Beilagenkartoffeln war ungewohnt aromatisch. Ich wusste nicht, dass Kartoffeln so gut schmecken können. Ich weiß nicht weshalb, aber sie waren perfekt. Auch der Salat war super - und dabei mag ich fast nie Salat! Ebenso war der Service hervorragend. Schnell, freundlich und unaufdringlich. Nach dem Restaurantbesuch wurde dieser als "feenhaft" betitelt - man wurde mit einer gewissen Leichtigkeit bedient, das Personal scheint daher äußerst erfahren im Umgang mit Gästen zu sein. Wir empfanden diesen durchwegs als äußerst angenehm. 69€ für zwei Personen inkl. Getränke ist mehr als fair, insbesondere in Anbetracht der liebevoll und einmalig eingerichteten Location, der Qualität sowohl des Essens als auch des Services. Als wir zahlten, war der Service vom (wahrscheinlich überdurchschnittlich hohen) Trinkgeld überracht. Man dachte, dass ich mich versprochen oder irren würde, doch war dieser meines Erachtens mehr als verdient. An diesem Punkt nochmals besten Dank an den Service und die Küche - Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Gemütlich mit freundlichem Service. Am besten schmecken uns die spareribs und Rumpsteak. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Super Ambiente nette Bedienung und das Essen war auch top

Ein Restaurant mit wirklich hohem Wohlfühlfaktor, etwas gedämpfte aber noch völlig ausreichende Beleuchtung. Gemütlich unterteilte Sitznischen für meist 4 Personen, es stehen aber auch größere Tische zur Verfügung. Die meisten Speisen kommen direkt frisch und heiß vom Grill, der jedoch einen guten Abzug hat und eine Rauchbildung völlig vermeidet. Ein leichter Geruch in den Klamotten ist nicht ganz vermeidbar, aber Heh auch, ihr geht in den Kaminkeller, ist voll ok. Die Bedienung ist flott und immer da, ausreichend Personal, das Essen sehr gut und mehr als genug. Probiert mal die Tomatensuppe als Vorspeise, ein Genuss. Am Wochenende sollte man wirklich reservieren, jedoch wird es ab 20,30Uhr für Spätesser etwas ruhiger. Schön dass der Kaminkeller die letzten 2 Jahre überlebt hat und wir weiterhin kommen können. Wir waren mehrfach wieder hier und können die gute Bewertung voll bestätigen.

Toller Laden. Gutes Essen und guter Service. Nur schade dass Samstag Abends, obwohl noch mehrere Tische besetzt sind, kassiert wird und man mit Hilfe von dem Kinderlieb „Lieber Sandmann“ vor die Tür gesetzt wird. Aber das scheint in Saarlouis normal zu sein, ist nicht das einzige Lokal

Sehr gutes Essen, hatten Steak und Lachs, war alles sehr lecker, tolles Ambiente nur der Service war schlecht. Wir fragten zweimal ob wir noch Brot zur Vorspeise bekommen, es hieß ja aber es kam keins. Zum Schluss wurden wir gefragt ob wir einen Kaffee oder Ähnliches wollen. Wir bestellten einen Espresso und die Dessert Karte aber bekommen haben wir beides nicht. Auch als wir zahlten fiel es nicht auf das wir immer noch auf den bestellten Espresso warten. Schade denn sonst wäre alles perfekt gewesen.

Wir waren mit 2 Personen essen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen sehr lecker. Im Restaurant schönes gemütliches Ambiente. Draußen Urlaubsflair. Waren voll zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Hatte den Roastbeefspieß. Überwältigend gut. Speisen werden auf offenem Feuer gegrillt. Das Ambiente ist teilweise etwas überladen aber trotzdem schön. Gut wäre es wenn ein/zwei warme Soßen angeboten würden.

Kompliment an Küche und Service! Das Steak war einfach perfekt die Portion für den Preis einwandfrei. Mein neues lieblings Restaurant wenn es um Essen vom Grill geht. Die anderen Speisen werden aber garantiert auch noch getestet. 5/5 Sterne , wir kommensicher wieder und die Empfehlung an Freunde und Fanilie hat der Kaminkeller sich redlich verdient. Das Servicepersonal war freundlich, zuvorkommend und schnell obendrein. Das ambiente war sehr gemütlich, die rustikale Einrichtung hat ihren ganz eigenen Charme und hat definitiv wiedererkennungswert. Der offene Grill in Tischnähe ist auch ein optischer Blickfang. Coole, nette Leute die ihren Job offensichtlich gerne machen. Gegrillt bzw. geschwenkt wird über offenem Feuer und zwar genau so, wie du dein Fleisch gerne hättest. Mega! Die Dips vorweg sind ebenfalls super. Absolut urige Atmosphäre lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne da die Qualität seit Jahren gleichbleibend super ist

Es fing an mit den Dip`s Tomatemark Dip und Knoblauch Dip mit frischem Brot. Die besten Dip`s die ich bis Dato gegessen habe. Danach als Vorspeise die Beste Zwiebelsuppe die ich bis Dato gegessen habe. Und dann kam das "Rumpsteak" mit Bratkartoffeln und einem Beilagen Salat. Es war ein Gedicht . . . Fleisch Perfekt auf dem Punkt (Medium bestellt) Bratkartoffeln ... ein Traum Salat ... ein Traum von einer Salatsoße Werde immer wieder zu Euch kommen, sobald ich wieder in Saarlouis bin.

Freundliche und flotte Bedienung. Wir saßen sehr gemütlich draußen. Speisekarte hat eine super Auswahl. Garnelenspieße und auch der Salat Surprise absolut empfehlenswert und lecker. Preis-Leistung passt absolut. Würden wir jederzeit wieder besuchen.

Ein sehr gutes Essen, wir hatten Rinderfilet und Schwenkbraten. Garpunkt des Filets perfekt, Schwenkbraten sehr (sehr) gut gewürzt und wunderbar saftig.

Vor allem die Fleischgerichte vom Kamingrill sind wirklich top. Service und Freundlichkeit ebenfalls. Faire Preise.

Der Kaminkeller ist eine urige Gaststätte in den Kasematten. In einem Gewölbe mit rustikaler Dekoration bietet das Restaurant eine gute Auswahl an Fleisch-, Fisch und Nudelgerichten, die zum Teil über einem offenen Feuer zubereitet werden. Der Service war stets freundlich und im Sommer lässt es sich auch gut draußen sitzen. Insgesamt zu empfehlen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das ist jetzt kein Witz: So einen herrlich gut gewürzten Fleischspieß hab ich in Deutschland noch nie gegessen. Auch sonst ist die Qualität hervorragend, knusprige, dünne Pommes, frischer Salat. Die Käsesuppe heiß und gut gewürzt. Die Preise sind für die gebotene Qualität absolut in Ordnung. Absolut empfehlenswert

Einer meiner lieblingsrestaurants da stimmt die Qualität der Preis das Ambiente und die Zubereitung der Speisen im Sommer sitzt man sehr schön draußen lohnt sich allemal sollte man vorher anrufen ob was frei ist

Endroit sympathique, le repas était très bon. Par contre au niveau du service et du sens du commerce .. Nous étions une dizaine, à tous consommer plusieurs boissons : -Demander qui a prit quel accompagnement semble hors de leur portée, -Nous font comprendre à 22h15 que nous dérangeons, étant les derniers dans le restaurant -Jettent un digestif qu’ils ont servit en trop de ce qui était demandé au lieu de l’offrir à la personne fêtant son anniversaire -Nous n’avons pas pu commander de dessert -Nous font remarquer que nous mettons trop de temps à payer à leur goût, se permettant des remarques sur la façon dont nous divisons la note -Nous étions dehors à 22h50, L’horaire affichée de fermeture du restaurant un samedi soir est 23h. Dommage que l’accueil et l’apparemment manageuse ne soit pas à la hauteur de la cuisine.

Cadre sympathique. Les accompagnements sont facturés en supplément mais soit, la viande étant plutôt savoureuse ça pourrait passer. Par contre la manière dont nous avons été traité (nous étions une table de 10) est inacceptable. Assiettes de pommes de terre qu'on nous bazarde littéralement sur la table parce que c'est trop compliqué pour les serveuses de demander qui à commander quoi.. Et à 22h30 on vous dit "maintenant vous payez et vous partez" sans nous avoir proposé la carte des desserts. Apparemment plus que psychorigides sur les horaires de fermeture même un samedi soir, ici la convivialité est inexistante et le client n'est clairement pas roi ^^. Première et dernière fois dans ce restaurant pour ma part..
