The outdoor area is simply gorgeous – one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Sitting here, with a good glass of wine in your hand and the sun on your face, is almost like a mini-vacation. The menu is pleasantly concise – not an overwhelming selection, but thoughtful, creative, and always new. That's exactly what I value so much: quality over quantity. The dishes are superbly composed, sophisticated in flavor, yet down-to-earth at the same time. Whether meat, fish, or vegetarian – everything I've tried so far has been perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and simply delicious. What completes the experience is the service: attentive, friendly, and very professional – without seeming forced. You can tell that the people here are passionate about their work and truly want to give their guests a wonderful evening. I've been here many times – for a relaxed dinner, a birthday party, or just for fun – and I've never been disappointed. We had lunch at the Hofhaus a few days ago. The service was really friendly and attentive - that was very positive. Unfortunately, the food was not convincing: the “medium” steak we ordered arrived completely raw and still cold inside. After feedback, it was grilled again, but by then we had already finished eating. Overall, we found that the price-performance ratio was not right. At a higher price level one expects better coordination in the preparation.

After I wanted to go to the Hofhaus again every year, I was turned away with our new addition (dog) Well-behaved. Now I have always recommended the hotel in connection with the restaurant, which will probably no longer be possible. Too bad for you, you didn't just lose a guest.

Apparently you don't have to rely on guests (larger events). Restaurant and hotel service staff were very unfriendly personally on site and on the phone, so in the end we decided against making a reservation. Although the ambience is very appealing.

The Hofhaus in Saarlouis-Beaumarais has been a place of conviviality for at least decades. Young and old meet here and enjoy fresh cuisine in a great atmosphere. The food is excellent and the service is attentive and courteous. In our case there was the winter menu with the right wine accompaniment. You have to find out the exact details yourself and it is best to reserve in advance, even at lunchtime. Addition to the rating from 2023: The restaurant impressed us right from the start, and our positive impression was confirmed on several visits in between. We even held our Christmas party there this year. We are still very satisfied and can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. However, a small suggestion for improvement would be to revise the map every now and then to add a little more variety. The Christmas menu in particular could be made even more exciting in the coming years with a few new ideas and fresh accents.

I reserved the table asking if we could take our puppy with us. There was confirmation but no answer to my question. So I called and was confirmed that this was okay. It's incomprehensible that we were turned away upon arrival because of the little worm. Why wasn't it communicated like that on the phone? We were all looking forward to the evening. Precisely because it always tastes good in the Hofhaus. Were already there and were turned away because apparently one of them didn't know what the other was doing. Disappointing....

In a historic property you can enjoy traditional cuisine at a high level. The business menu with lamb's lettuce, apples and nuts, peppers stuffed with couscous and feta with aromatic tomato sauce or meatloaf coated in crispy bacon, beans and croquettes and, as a dessert, creamy panacotta with an intense berry sauce was worth every euro. The service was very friendly and communicative, the atmosphere was pleasant.

The restaurant is now overrated. We have been here repeatedly for dinner (including celebrations) over SEVERAL years. To be honest, the quality is no longer outstanding. There are now simply TOO MANY ready-made products that are offered to guests. The price-performance ratio is no longer right. The ambience is of course still very appealing, but the food is no longer of the same high standard as 'before Corona'. Years ago it was something special to eat at the Hofhaus - now there are definitely better alternatives. The dishes no longer represent the price. The Hofhaus still lives from its 'good reputation' from years ago. Either the prices have to be adjusted downwards or the preparation and ingredients of the dishes have to be adjusted upwards. There is a mismatch here at the moment.

Super nice idyllic atmosphere. Very attentive service. The antipasti plate for two people may not seem cheap at first glance, but it exceeded expectations. Very large and delicious selection of antipasti. An extremely large appetizer. The rump steak with chanterelles was, as ordered, medium and at least 250g in size (if not more). Perfectly okay for the price. We were very satisfied and would like to come back.

The Restaurant is situated in an outer part of Saarlouis, more rural. It certainly has the pleasant characteristics that go with the location. Simple but genuine, here and there a bit neglected, but certainly a cosy place for a meal. The ingrediënts were certainly fresh, but not all of prime quality. The antipasti were nice and tasty. The meat in our two main dishes was OK, but only just that. My rumpsteak, was cooked as desired, but absolutely oversized and to tough to easily eat. The veggies were few and the salad ordinary. Prices were steep. What to think of the red wines at € 9 to € 10 per 0,2 liter, that came undoubtedly out of a bottel that was cheaper the that. For a rural restaurant you really should have more value fo4 your money. The service was as was the food, correct but without soul.

Very good restaurant with incredibly friendly and attentive service. You feel comfortable and in good hands from the first second. The ambience in the winter garden is really nice and feels like a holiday for us. There are enough heaters for the colder season and everything is nicely lit. We were impressed by the food and drinks, from the starter to the dessert, there was really nothing to complain about. In addition to the main menu, there was also a small seasonal menu, both with a small but very good selection of vegetarian dishes. This wasn't our first visit here and it certainly won't be our last.

Very nice restaurant and nice service, but we probably had the newest waiter in the restaurant (still room for improvement). Ambience really very cozy and successful. The food was almost perfect, the carpaccio and desert were excellent and the bread was very good. Unfortunately the veal cordon bleu was a bit disappointing, very small portion and the sauce wasn't quite right and made the dish quite dry with the fries. I was able to try the steak with my colleague and I would have been better off choosing it because it was excellent for me, but unfortunately it was too raw for her despite medium rare.

On February 3rd, 2024 we had dinner in the Hofhaus. Very nice atmosphere. The service can, without exaggeration, be rated as very good. The dishes are very well prepared and can be described as very good. The winter menu I ordered was very good and my wife's fish dish is also highly recommended. The desserts are a feast for the eyes and very tasty. The only point that was missing a full star rating was that the main course could have been a bit warmer. A peine la commande prise le plat arrive et on mange en quatrième vitesse . Les plats sont bons , les prix sont élevés . Et à peine le plat débarrassé , on vous demande immédiatement si vous prenez un dessert …… bref , être stressé de la sorte alors que l’on veut passer un bon moment …….. dans un restaurant ……. C’est un manque de respect pour la clientèle . Nous n’y retournerons plus .

angenehmer, freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service, ganz tolles und gemütliches Ambiente und hervorragendes Essen. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden, das Rinderfilet war wie gewünscht! Die Dessertvariation war die Krönung! Es sind auch ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden.
