Something different and really tasty

Update Please match the prices on the menu with those in your system. It's easy to feel "cheered" when the bill is higher than expected just because there are two different prices. We have been regulars at Coyote for years and have always enjoyed coming. The food was always consistently good and well priced. Unfortunately, on our last visit we found that the prices had increased enormously, which is understandable, and unfortunately the happy hour on the weekend was also abolished and otherwise brought forward. It's a shame, in our opinion

Don't know the atmosphere because we used the outdoor dining area. Food was brought after a short wait, large selection of dishes and cocktails.

Really overpriced after the change of ownership, €5 for a 0.4 soft drink is more than hefty when you take into account the purchase of goods. In general everything has been very broken since the change of ownership, which is a shame. I was always there 1-2 times a week, now definitely less often.

The food is always very good but tonight the waitress Nicole shocked us. We pay 73.75 (75 with tip) and then ask for the ticket and, surprise! The bill amount was 70.75 E. We asked Nicole for an explanation and she told us that she asked for a tip and that this is usually 10% of the total amount. She thinks she is in the USA. She then tells us that she worked for us at a loss. A SHAME

Very nice old town pub where you can eat or just drink a delicious cocktail 🍸 which are really highly recommended! The service was extremely friendly and accommodating! I can only recommend this pub and would like to come back any time I'm in Saarland again!

The food, drinks and service were really good :) Unfortunately it was very loud in between, so it wasn't possible to have a good conversation. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

My husband was actually there for the first time. But he also really enjoyed the food. Me too, of course. Above all, the portion was way too much for me. Next time I'll have 2 quesadillas packed with me. Rarely have I had such a delicious sauce for a salad. Condition really very nice and helpful. We will be back

We have been to the Coyote Cafe in Saarlouis many times over the years to have a cocktail or something to eat, and so far we have always been very satisfied with the food and drinks served to us here. The menu offers a large, colorful selection of American and Mexican dishes, from fajitas and enchiladas to salads, spare ribs, wings and burgers to steaks. Especially in the last few months, we have tested several of the dishes on offer, and every dish had a delicious, individual and characteristic taste with a fine seasoning. The very sumptuous dishes, which arrive at the table quickly, are served in a visually appealing manner and, in our opinion, are of good quality, and the fine meat has always been cooked well. The fajitas, in which the meat is served sizzling in a cast iron pan at the table, are certainly worth mentioning. Overall, the food served here is usually much better in terms of taste and quality than you would expect from a restaurant in a touristy old town. There is also a very large selection of different cocktails, which taste really delicious if they are a good size, but which are also served in a rather unspectacular way. These are priced at 9-10 euros, although there is a happy hour Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. where all cocktails are only half price. Overall, we think the prices here are okay, but classic drinks are a little more expensive than in the surrounding restaurants. Inside, the Coyote Cafe offers a nice, attractive ambience in a slightly American style, and there is also a small outdoor terrace in a good location. The service so far has mostly been good and very friendly. So we can definitely recommend this restaurant to drink a delicious cocktail or try one of the dishes on offer.

Delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.

We regularly go to the Coyote Café in Saarlouis and what can I say? I haven't been disappointed so far! The food and drinks are delicious. My personal favorites are the enchiladas and the homemade lemonade lemon/lime. The service is always courteous and super friendly. As a guest you feel right at home! Keep it up! I/we always enjoy coming to you

Everything fine ! For over 2 decades

Yesterday my husband and I went there with friends to spend a nice evening. We really liked the style of the restaurant, rustic atmosphere, although many tables are close together you don't feel cramped and you have plenty of space at the table. My husband ate the spare ribs and I had the burritos. The food was very tasty and one portion left us full. Thumbs up for value for money. Afterwards we tested our way through the cocktails, both with and without alcohol tasted very tasty. My friend wasn't sure which one to take and received expert advice from the staff and was very satisfied. The only thing I would have to complain about would be that it was very hot in the restaurant. Otherwise we really liked it and it certainly wouldn't be our last time there. I recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience

I really enjoy going to Café Coyote to spend a nice evening with friends with good food and fine drinks. A good starting point to then explore the old town.

First of all I have to say, this is a place to feel good. I went there for dinner with my partner. We had 2 different dishes, both were sensationally good, the waitresses are all super nice and friendly, even when the shop is full, no rush, no stress and still quick, they do a great job. As already mentioned at the beginning, the ambience invites you to linger. Keep it up!!!

It's a shame... have been here many times. It is clear that everything is becoming more expensive, but at the same time less than half the meat is served is surprising. Chicken Fajitas was ordered. Tastes great as always. However, there was hardly any meat to be found. It doesn't come close to previous portions. Make it more expensive and reduce portions? Seriously? A pity. We accepted that we had to wait an hour. Can happen. But save on meat?

The food tasted quite good, but I was more than disappointed with the portion. I chose the platter with 4 finger foods for 20 euros. Everything tasted as usual but the quantity was more reminiscent of decoration than food. Had 3 small curly fries on the plate, also 2x 3 chicken wings that felt like 25g, half of which were bones, and there were 3 mini quesadillas with cheese filling. If you order the dishes individually, you can certainly get three times as much for around 8 euros more. I ended up coming home more hungry than when I started. My colleague had a burger for 14 euros, which was ok in terms of portion, but they were stingy with the Curly's (despite an extra charge of 1.50 euros for a side dish change). All in all, I went home very dissatisfied with the feeling of having been ripped off. Despite complaints about the portion, the service was very friendly and professional. Conclusion: Service staff top, taste good but price/performance below ground.

We have always enjoyed going here, but the last visit was unfortunately very disappointing. Some dishes have been changed (and the prices increased), instead of 3 small enchiladas there is now one large enchilada, unfortunately it didn't taste so good. No suitable ratio of dough to filling. Before you could order 3 small enchiladas with different fillings, now you have to choose one - what a shame! The enchiladas were always our go-to dish. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately one dish was prepared incorrectly (wrong sauce) and only lukewarm for a group of 5 people. Wheat beer was out. Toilets could be a little cleaner. Overall, our visit was okay, as we went to one of our favorite restaurants full of anticipation, but the disappointment outweighed the disappointment. We'll give Coyota Cafe another chance soon and see if it was just a bad day (regarding food preparation, wheat beer, etc) or if this is the new standard. I will probably only give 5 stars again when the 3 enchiladas are available again.

I've been eating at Cojote for years. We were there yesterday for the first time in a long time and were immediately surprised with a new menu. Many dishes were replaced or changed by other things. My favorite dish was always the three small burritos with different fillings, which unfortunately are no longer available in this form, but there is only one large burrito. In terms of prices, prices have also risen extremely. I have to say, I won't be visiting Cojote again anytime soon unless the menu changes again. It's a shame that so many changes have been made to the menu as the old menu was perfect. Unfortunately, a lot was copied from the Iguana restaurant in Saarbrücken when it came to the menu. However, I hope that the old menu comes back. However, it has to be said that the staff at Cojote is always very friendly and always responds to the customers' wishes. The service at the table is always quick and you don't have to wait long to pay or order.

Ich war mit einer Freundin zum Mittagessen im Coyote. In unserem servierten Salat, waren mehrere Raupen drin!! Absolut ekelhaft!!!

Eine einzige Katastrophe, geschehen gestern Abend 19 Uhr , nicht reserviert aber nirgendwo an den tischen eine Reservierungs Karte , nach Ansprache mit unsympathischer Bedienung und keines Fach Wissens sagte man uns alles reserviert, was gelogen war meiner Meinung, denn unmittelbar danach kam eine Gruppe mit 6 Personen ca. Rein auch ohne Reservierung das meine Frau und ich gehört hatten rein und plötzlich war Platz dar 😕, werden diesen Laden Somal wir öfters dar waren im leben nicht wieder betreten, bitte um Fachpersonal

Ist mein Lieblingsrestaurant. Der beyond meat Burger ist einfach super, so wie die hausgemachten Limonaden.

Wir hatten gestern zur Happy Hour einen schönen Abend. Cocktails waren lecker. Selbst der alkoholfreie Evergreen war ein Genuss, sodass ich sogar einen 2. davon bestellt habe. Der Service war super freundlich und die Cocktails waren auch schnell da, obwohl der Laden voll war. Da sind wir im Bezug auf Wartezeiten aus anderen Lokalitäten was ganz anderes gewohnt. Wir kamen ohne Reservierung. Und dennoch hat man uns im Rahmen der Möglichkeiten zwischen den Reservierungen einen Tisch angeboten. TOP!

Wir lieben das Coyote Café! Selbst nach dem 100 Besuch, ist das Essen und Service super. Ich hatte das erste mal etwas zu beanstanden und man hat es mehr als perfekt gelöst. Einfach nur wow! Das Essen und die Cocktails schmecken super lecker. Die Preise wurden nach und nach etwas angepasst, was ich aber absolut verstehen kann. Für diese Qualität und Service bezahle ich gern ein paar Euro mehr. Dennoch sind es humane Preise und in der Umgebung wenn nicht sogar im Saarland das beste mexikanische Restaurant! Wir treffen uns gerne mit Freunden dort, mal zu essen oder zur Happy Hour für die Cocktails ubd wenn keiner zeit hat gehen wir auch allein hin. Wenn es schnell gehen muss, haben wir das Essen auch schon vorbestellt und dann zu Hause gegessen. Wobei man sagen muss, dass wir auch im Restaurant gegessen hätten wenn wir einen Platz bekommen hätten. Der Service und das essen kommen sehr zügig. Am besten immer anrufen und reservieren, das Restaurant ist sehr beliebt :D

Wir haben die zwei vegetarischen Salate gegessen, beide waren super lecker! Der Ceasar Salat ist etwas wenig, aber auch super lecker. Die hausgemachte Sauce mit Knoblauch ist sehr zu empfehlen! Dazu bekommt man zu Beginn ein paar Nachos mit Sauce, was das Warten aufs Essen sehr angenehm macht. Dazu hatten wir die Nachos mit Käse und Dip, die kann ich immer empfehlen, waren schon immer für den Preis empfehlenswert. Für 20 Euro wirst du hier satt (ohne Nachtisch aber mit Getränk). Service war perfekt. Super nett, super schnell! Ambiente: Die Tische sind alle sehr nah beieinander. Mir persönlich gefällt das nicht, so nah an anderen Leuten zu sitzen es ist relativ laut und eng. Trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen!

Après la double porte, un décor chaleureux. Les plats sont copieux, le Signature Burger est à recommander, le Beef Quesadilla, double galette savoureuse est à mentionner, le service attentif et cordial. Un lieu à privilégier à proximité de la place centrale.

Oh...nicht sehr gut. Leider wurde durch das Essen alles ruiniert. Ich habe Hähnchenfilet bestellt. Sie brachten mir ein verbranntes, verschobenes Stück Fleisch – man konnte es nicht einmal Fleisch nennen. Dies ist an den Koch gerichtet! Der Service ist ausgezeichnet, die Kellner sind sehr aufmerksam. Und was die allgemeine Unzufriedenheit glättete, waren die Cocktails. Auf höchstem Niveau!

Der Grund für die schlechte Bewertung ist, das unser reservierter Tisch einfach an jemand anderes vergeben wurde weil wir ein paar Minuten zu spät waren. Wir reden hier von ca. 5 Minuten. Deshalb meine Empfehlung, einfach ohne Reservierung hin gehen und jemand anderes seinen Tisch klauen. Das Personal ist in dieser Hinsicht sehr hilfsbereit wie wir gesehen haben. Wir waren hier seid vielen Jahren Stammgäste da es wirklich eine schöne Location ist und das Essen ist auch gut. Aber man muss sagen seid längerer Zeit geht die Servicequalität zunehmend zurück und durch solche Kundenverachtenden Machenschaften wie jetzt gezeigt wurden, werden wir dort nicht mehr zu Gast sein.

Sehr gutes essen und trinken. Hausgemachte Limo sehr lecker. Ich hatte die Spare Ribs mit BBQ Sauce und Süßkartoffeln als Ersatz für normale Pommes (mag die Süßkartoffelpommes lieber). Meine Frau hatte überbackene Nachos und meine Kinder einen Burger mit Pommes und die gegrillte Hähnchenbrust in scharfer Schokosauce. Alles in allem ein wirklich gutes essen und ein sehr netter Service. Es war voll und wir hatten Reserviert, würde ich auch empfehlen. Preis/Leistung Top, mit 4 Personen, Vorspeise, Hauptspeise, Churros, Getränke und Espresso keine 120€. Gerne wieder.
