Must try in Munich. Afghan cuisine, amazing ambience, and decoration, hindi music. As an Indian couple we felt kinda home and expected some spices after the bland german food. My wife, hangry but eats half a portion, me running and ready to do the dirty work and do 1.5 portions. Here in germany the portions are big, so one would be enough for me. As i love to try out things, I always have to order to much. IT WAS WORTH IT! MUST TRY: Mantu - i will dream about this tonight. Kind of momos with beef soaked in a lentil sauce. Way better than momos!! Because my wife need chicken: Kabuli Palau - also very nice and a huge portion, enough for 2 small eaters Like a chicken curry with fried rice Special: really spicy sauces on every table.

As a last minute arrangement, we decided to have dinner at Kabul on new year’s eve. The service was fast and the portions were big. The restaurant is compact and it has a bit of a frantic feel about it, but somehow it all adds up to a nice buzz. The food was tasty and we enjoyed all the starters, main meals and deserts. We paid about €180 for 4 people, which is not cheap but it is reasonable value for 4 people having 2 or 3 courses each. Give it a try if you’re a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine and if you enjoy a relaxed setting 👍🏻👍🏻

Anyone who has rated this high has never tried authentic Afghan food, or those who have have never had good quality food in their life. Group of 5 so ordered various dishes to try everything out and all of them were so far off it was not even enjoyable. For the potatoes side dish it felt like they just used tin tomatoes sauce for the sauce itself. Nothing had proper flavour. The aubergine did not even come with yogurt topping and they offered yogurt sauce as a side which was flavourless. The rice should have used sela rice not basmati and I can't even go into all the other items. Very disappointing overall. The atmosphere was good but deco is like an Indian restaurant. Only came here due to reviews and star rating usually it's not wrong but I guess it was this time. Service was good staff are good. It's just the food that sucks big time. None of the 8 dishes hit the spot. Also drinks are bad too.

We went here to Restaurant Kabul on the recommendation of a friend. We were very excited about the large selection of dishes! The drinks and food came very quickly and the portions were huge! With an average price of 19.90 per main course, it's reasonable, but unfortunately you can't expect it in every restaurant these days. That's why we were pleasantly surprised and the quality of the food was also excellent. We had the rest packed up :-) we would love to come back!

This is one of the nicest Afghan restaurants that I've ever been to and I've been to quite a few. I live in the US and I'm really glad we came here during my trip to Germany recently. They have a lot of variety of authentic meals, from quick snacks to full on gourmet. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. They have multiple variety of rice dishes including a few different kinds of the poplar dish Qabuli. They have so many types of kabobs you're going to have to make a trip back to try them all. They make their nan fresh. They have various stews including vegetable or meat stews, so vegetarians welcome! The venue is cozy and has seating for small groups upstairs. If you're looking for more space, they have a party room downstairs. It might sound weird, but one way to judge a restaurant is to see how clean they keep the bathroom. If they're not good at keeping the facilities clean, I can only imagine what the kitchen would look like. 🤨 not to worry they have clean bathrooms!

The Kabul Restaurant in Munich offers an exceptional culinary experience with authentic Afghan dishes. The dishes are excellently prepared, aromatic and full of flavor. The service is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The freshly prepared kebabs and the delicious saffron rice are particularly recommended. An absolute insider tip for lovers of oriental cuisine!

The restaurant is an absolute eye-catcher! Every detail was right and the cards were something special. We felt very comfortable from minute one. Starter: For starters we had lentil soup. It was strong, spicy and pleasantly spicy! Perfect for these low winter temperatures! Intermediate course: We ate sweet baked pumpkin with fresh bread. Was rock solid. Main course: Both the lamb and chicken were fabulous. The cooking point was perfect and it was nice and juicy. The rice was perfect and very special in its own way. It was very intense and light and even the tomatoes, something so simple, became a flavor explosion here. Dessert: The dessert was definitely good, although it could have been a little sweeter for our taste. The service was also impeccable! Highly recommended!

The visit to the Kabul restaurant was a highlight for us after a stroll through Munich: We were warmly welcomed and seated at a lovely table by the window. The menu should have something for everyone, we found it difficult to choose, but everyone was happy: the preparation was extremely tasty, slightly spicy, strong and fresh taste. The grilled skewers were cooked and roasted to perfection, the rice was cleverly seasoned, and we were all very satisfied. The service was very discreet and at the same time extremely warm, a real delight. Absolute tip.

Enjoy your meal. Price performance unfortunately in the yellow area.

We were there as part of a culinary city tour and were taken to the cellar, unfortunately there is no other way to call it. Dirty plastic tablecloths, stained plates, which were unfortunately very visible in the bowling alley atmosphere with fluorescent tube lighting. Vacuum cleaners and irons were also available, and the food and service were just great. No matter how good the atmosphere in the actual restaurant is, I will definitely not be coming back. We certainly didn't pay less for our tour than the other guests. Too bad.

Unfortunately, as a group on a city tour, we were banished to the basement, sorry that's not possible.

As guests in the beautiful city of Munich, we wanted to try a new taste. We weren't disappointed. We have never eaten anything so delicious and fresh with unique spices and ingredients. All five plates were emptied down to the last bite. Really great. Definitely try it.

The portions were huge! The food is amazing! The restaurant was spacious , plenty of seating and nicely decorated. The bathrooms downstairs were clean, the location of the restaurant seems to be located in a nice area where other Middle Eastern/ Arab stores and restaurants are.

I Uber eats the tekka kabob with qabuli pallow and I have to say it’s now in my top 3 favorite Afghan spots worldwide. The kabob and the qabuli were absolutely incredible. 10/10. The dish was authentic, flavorful, and incredibly delicious. I wish I had ordered more dishes but I was traveling through Munich and by chance happened to find this spot. This is a MUST try it if you’re in the area!

Had dinner here with my wife and family. Is restaurant is easily accessible by tram or by walking from the main train station. Service was excellent. The food was good however the veal was a little on the tough side and tasted more like stew beef than veal. The rice was excellent and the sauces were very flavorful.The portions were large.There is certainly nothing like this restaurant where I live in North Carolina.

Well lets start from price, portion is so big for kabul and it was 22 euro. When i see it i though OMG ITS SO EXPENSIVE, then when portion come i think 22 euro not bad. In table there was no salt i eat food saltless. And there was no waiter around so. Music is so loud and was cringy. I think they can do better playlist. Taste? Ye taste was ok i though but like i said saltless. Over all price? Performance? 10/5 I would just eat döner with same amount of meat 🫡 and döner is only 6 euro so.. Cola and kabul was 27.30 or something.

Were in Kabul again today and, as always, the food was great! Go there more often. Keep it up 👍

We spontaneously visited on Thursday evening. The first waiter was very courteous and nice, but the waitress who replaced him afterwards was a bit listless and gave you the impression that you were unwelcome. All I can say about the food is that it definitely wasn't fresh because we all had to suffer from nausea afterwards Very unfortunate

We were really happy with everything. The food was great, the decor is nice, the staff were very friendly. Special thanks to the shop owner Ahmadzai :) He was very friendly to us and always took care of his customers. We ended up getting our dessert on the house too. Thank you very much again.

Wir (meine Frau und ich) waren am Samstag Abend im Kabul zum Abendessen. Hier gibt es authentische afghanische Küche vom Feinsten - sehr wohlschmeckend und die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend. Hinzu kommt die freundliche Bedienung und man sitzt sehr angenehm. Wir hatten einen Platz am Fenster, das wegen der hohen Temperaturen geöffnet war. Sehr angenehm. Die Preise entsprechen dem, was man heute in München so zahlen muss. Es ist aber auch nicht überteuert. Wir können zum Besuch nur raten, besser dann einen Platz reservieren.

Ate their machicha pulao and its so delicious, lamb was so easy to come off from the bone love it. Would come here again but sadly its my last day here, great restaurant. Sending wishes from a singaporean

We had a Groupon voucher for a 4-course meal, were served very well and the food was simply fantastic! Oriental spices and a great taste experience. Really great!!! There were also many Afghan or Arab guests there with children, and it seemed very child-friendly. The portions were very generous and we were really full!

I have had the absolute worst food poisoning of my life after visiting this restaurant… nearly ended up in hospital. The restaurant was empty the night I went, maybe I was served something leftover…? Either way, this had made me extremely conscious of where I go eat and considering the quite high rating of this place, it’s not reassuring at all to say the least.

An Afghan restaurant in the center of Munich My experience was (chicken biryani/mixed appetizers/vegetable samosa). The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are good. I recommend it 👍🏻

The food was so delicious. I ordered a veal with rice as a main dish + side for 24.5 EUR. The portion was quite good and more than enough for one person.

Beautiful decor... nice service, food... I love discovering new flavors... And I admit, I had a few recipes from my friends from Afghanistan and I made them... they were tasty, but they reminded me of other flavors (e.g. Indian cuisine). At this point, to be fair, I will add that I ordered chicken in coconut milk. The pomegranate and almonds were a great addition. My point is that there was a lot of rice and not much sauce. I would like to emphasize that the dish was tasty but it did not charm me, this is just my opinion... if you want to try Afghan cuisine, come! And try it! Because each of us has different tastes... and maybe I chose too simple a dish, but maybe it's because I don't like too spicy dishes. As for the prices... well, it's not cheap, 20 euros... per dish, but it could have been worse

When we paid we were asked to pay more than what was on the menu. The bread was moldy and after two days I still have a stomach ache from the mantu I ate. Just never there again!

The goods are really amazing and the quantity is good as well. I have tried many afghan restaurants and this has one of the authentic tastes. I would totally recommend to others!!

The food and the service are good, but could be more authentic with the interior and music: interior is generic and for some reason Spanish guitar music was playing the whole evening.

Let's start from the fact that I had booked for New Year's Eve, some time before and I had been confirmed. We arrive and they tell us that we had to leave the table at a certain time, I wonder if it hadn't been better to say it before. That said, if you really want me to go away at least bring me food in a relatively quick way. Instead a lot of time just to take the order. Everything was completely in chaos, but I can also understand it in the holidays. I don't understand rudeness, I don't understand that. That said, although I was a little disappointed with the food due to the service, it was very good and plentiful. Prices are average for Munich, so not exactly low. Let's say I would have preferred normal treatment, I'm not saying good, eh. I recommend experimenting with this very well done cuisine but arm yourself with patience and a lot of good will so as not to fail.

I would never suggest this restaurant, specially the Qabuli that I experienced today. The food seems to be kept from 3 days ago.

Such an experience, would love eat here again. The food was 10/10. For appetizer we had Maschaua soup which had lentils, beans in it and Borani Kadu. For main dish we had Quabeli Palau and Narendj Palau. Both were great but i think the lamb palau was better. The place is so nicely decorated and the waiter was kind.

Best Afghan food of my life, lamb was great and the soup tasted very good. Staff super friendly and the atmosphere was amzing. Would recommand to everyone. Got free desert which just make it better. Will come back soon.

I ordered online and had to look for my meat under a mountain of rice. When I found it, I was able to enjoy 4 small pieces! NEVER AGAIN

If I could I would give 0 stars Not good service, there were 4 of us but we were only brought 3 cutlery, we ate 3 times even though we ordered 4 times... we ordered 2 cokes and a mango juice and a tea. We were brought 2 mango juices and a cola (vice versa) tea didn't come at all after my husband told them he had ordered tea, they told him that he never ordered it, and because all that wasn't enough, the food wasn't fresh either. Thank you very much, I'll never come back!!!

Very bad Afghan food, the rice was hard and very bad food that I have eaten so far.

Yesterday I ate the 24 eggplants with peppers, tomatoes and yogurt curd sauce, simply brilliant. I haven't eaten something this good in a long time 😋
