I am absolutely outraged by the appalling treatment I received at your restaurant. I came in, paid for my meal, and was served the wrong order. When I calmly pointed out the mistake, a member of your kitchen staff not only insulted me with the most obscene, personal language imaginable, but he also aggressively lunged at me, threatening physical violence. Thankfully, other staff restrained him, but the fear and disrespect I experienced were beyond any acceptable standard. Is it normal for a paying customer to be treated like this? To be kicked out of your establishment without cause, after I already paid, while my food was discarded? This is a gross violation of customer dignity and safety. I demand that the owner contact me immediately and address this horrific failure in service. This kind of behavior is intolerable.” Ich bin absolut empört über die katastrophale Behandlung, die ich in Ihrem Restaurant erfahren habe. Ich bin gekommen, habe für mein Essen bezahlt, und mir wurde die falsche Bestellung gebracht. Als ich höflich den Fehler ansprach, wurde ich von einem Ihrer Küchenmitarbeiter nicht nur mit dem obszönsten, persönlichen Vokabular beschimpft, sondern er ist auch aggressiv auf mich losgegangen und hat körperliche Gewalt angedroht. Zum Glück haben die anderen Mitarbeiter ihn zurückgehalten, aber die Angst und der Mangel an Respekt, die ich erlebt habe, waren über jede akzeptable Grenze hinaus. Ist es normal, dass ein zahlender Kunde so behandelt wird? Dass ich aus Ihrem Lokal geworfen werde, ohne Grund, nachdem ich bereits bezahlt hatte, während mein Essen einfach weggeworfen wurde? Das ist ein eklatanter Verstoß gegen die Würde und Sicherheit des Kunden. Ich fordere Sie auf, dass der Besitzer mich umgehend kontaktiert und dieses katastrophale Versagen im Service beseitigt. Dieses Verhalten ist unerträglich.

Geh schon paar Jahre hierhin und es war immer sehr gut, würde sogar sagen das beste Spießrestaurant und Quabeli in ganz München. Das einzige was mir fehlt ist eine original SPEZI und nicht von coca cola mezzo mix oder sowas .

Das Tikka-Kebab war gut. Es war gut durchgegart und schön zart. Der einzige Nachteil – der allerdings Geschmackssache sein kann – war, dass es ziemlich stark gewürzt war.

Nachdem ich meinen Zug verpasst hatte, saß ich einen Tag lang am Münchner Hauptbahnhof fest, und dieses Restaurant hat alles gerettet. Super freundliche Atmosphäre, fantastischer Service und absolut köstliches Essen – eines der besten Erlebnisse meiner München-Reise!

Wer Lust auf authentische afghanische/peschawarische Küche hat, ist hier genau richtig. Ich kann die Chapli-Kebabs und das frische Naan mit Chutney wärmstens empfehlen.

Einfach wow 🤩! Super lecker und das Ambiente und der Service ist so, wie ich es mag, ungezwungen und freundlich. Ein absolutes Highlight im Einheitsbrei Münchens.

Die Angestellten sind hilfsbereit, und vor allem ist es halal. Ich hoffe, ich konnte Ihnen einige Informationen darüber geben. Gott ist der Erhabene und Allwissende. Das Personal war außerdem sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, was den Besuch noch schöner gemacht hat. Wenn Sie in München nach leckerem Streetfood suchen, sollten Sie Mawlana unbedingt ausprobieren. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

Sehr leckeres afghanisches Essen mit authentischem Geschmack! Die Gerichte sind frisch zubereitet, großzügig portioniert und voller Aroma. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam, und die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich. Besonders die Kabuli Palau und die Mantu haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Sehr empfehlenswert – ich komme gerne wieder!

I hesitated to go into the shop for a long time because it was always full of men, even though I thought it looked great from the outside. But today I bought some mantu to take away. They were so incredibly delicious that I'll be back soon to try the other dishes too. 😋 It's also a nice place to eat inside; the atmosphere is lovely.

Food had NO resemblance of what pictures they displayed on their menu. Differing products on the plate and “minimalistic“ portions. When I brought this up, the guy shrugged his shoulders and simply said: “Then don’t come back”. Stay away, there are plenty of WAY better places in the neighborhood.

This is one of the many Afghan restaurants I highly recommend. They serve authentic Afghan barbecue, the wait staff is friendly, and the dining environment is pleasant. Everything is delicious, including the rice, sides, and flatbreads. It's a great place to satisfy your appetite and worth a try when visiting Munich.

Delicious Afghan food. Not exactly street food—you'll be done eating by the time you get there. A lively, fun atmosphere. I had the lamb, which was juicy and pink inside, just as it should be.

The freshly baked naan is crispy and chewy. The grilled chicken skewers we ordered are rich in spices and the meat is not too old. It is tender and juicy. The whole plate comes with rice, salad and side dishes. I think it is nutritionally balanced and great! Although there are few seats, it is spacious and not crowded, and the Middle Eastern music is played, which is very flavorful. A meal costs 15 to 20 euros, and a shared meal costs 55 euros.

Today I was at the Afghan restaurant Mawlana in Munich – absolutely recommended! The freshly baked bread was a real highlight – warm, soft and full of flavor. And the Guabeli Uzbeki was just so delicious! 😋 A perfect combination of flavors that transported me straight to the streets of Central Asia. Authentic cuisine, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

One of the best Afghan places we’ve ever had. They keep the hot tandoor naan coming. Very attentive and nice staff. They speak Urdu, Pashto, German and English. Highly recommend the Qabuli pulao, their potato stew, and tea! Only thing this place needs is more space and some desserts.

I was at the Maulana restaurant in Munich with my four-year-old son. I ordered a Chapli Kebab and a Cola Zero, plus an extra portion of rice for my son. Unfortunately, the Chapli Kebab didn't meet my expectations at all - it was completely devoid of spices. It was particularly disappointing that my child was charged a whopping €10 for the small portion of rice. I find that pretty outrageous. In addition, the staff behind the counter was loudly talking on the phone the whole time instead of taking care of the guests. For me it was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime visit I won't come back

Service is very bad. The man who served us was rude and rude. When you asked for a bill, water or menu, the waiter ignored you or was talking to his buddies and pretended not to hear you even though you were almost screaming. Somehow didn't feel welcome in this cafe. Or because we are not Afghan? :( Thought the waiter had a bad day, but we were there 3 times and each time it was the same, apparently the waiter picked the wrong job. I took a friend of mine with me, in the end I was very embarrassed about the service, and then we were pissed and the food didn't taste good anymore. It was just a shame. Food isn't cheap either. There are dozens of cafes in Munich with better street food and service. Never again to Mawlana Street Food👎.

Stumbled across the store by chance. We ordered a minced skewer with rice. It tasted very good. The portion size is generous. You can also share the plate between two people. The restaurant is nicely decorated, there is music playing in the background and the restaurant is frequented by authentic guests. The only thing that was strange was that there were no women there to eat and only men were there. What is particularly positive is that the naan is freshly baked in-house and a lot of effort goes into displaying it.

Tried Qabuli Pulao, Chapli kebab and it was tasty. Service is good. It's a small setup but overall food is tasty. I wish if they can start afghan karhi as well. They have bring traditional dish Chapli kebab. Something new in Munich and not seen in any other restaurant. Overall good experience and recommended.

When it first arrived, I thought there was very good meat, but I saw that there was only a little meat wrapped around a huge bone. Döner is 6 euros but there is more meat in the doner. I paid 20.40 for coke and qabuli, I think it was too much. Pilaf was successful. I will never go again. Since the place is small, the waiter looks me in the eye before I even finish the meal, he quickly collected the plate before the coke was finished and left, what I hated the most. Payment at checkout was easy The plates were old. The cutlery was standing on the table, it does not come with the service.

Taste of the grill meat I cant forget and I can say mouth watering indeed. Service was great . The crew are competent and attentive. I would definitely come back for more hunger.

I recently visited Afghanistan Restaurant (formerly known as Mawlana) and was left disappointed by several issues that potential customers should be aware of before dining here. First, the restaurant appears to have undergone a name change from Mawlana to Afghanistan Restaurant, which isn't necessarily an issue, but what follows certainly is. The most concerning aspect of our experience was the significant discrepancy between what's advertised in their menu and what's actually served. We ordered their kebab dish, which clearly shows two kebabs in the menu picture, but received only one on our plate. When questioned about this, the staff simply stated that the picture on the counter display was "real" - a puzzling response that fails to address why their menu contains misleading images. The portion sizes in general were notably smaller than what's depicted in their menu photos. This kind of presentation feels deliberately misleading, as customers naturally base their ordering decisions on these menu images. Adding to our frustration, we were charged extra for bread, which should be a standard complementary item in this type of restaurant. For comparison, Sarah Restaurant, located just around the corner, offers much better value for money. With similar pricing, they provide larger portion sizes and include bread free of charge - as it should be. This stark contrast in value and transparency makes it difficult to justify returning to Afghanistan Restaurant.

Arrived from a 5 hour train ride from Prague and was really hungry. My husband recommended we try this place and yes I would recommend it! The food was great (if you don’t eat much, consider sharing a meal). I originally only wanted a salad to go with my meal instead of rice and the owner saw or heard what I wanted and gave me extra salad on the side. I highly recommend you to try them!

We went to Restaurant Molana in Munich this evening, an Afghan restaurant, and it was really a great experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the food. Each dish was prepared with care and love, and the flavors were simply outstanding. From the starters to the main courses – everything tasted excellent. If you are looking for authentic, tasty Afghan food, I can only recommend Restaurant Molana. If you are in Munich, you should definitely plan a visit there!
