Very disappointing: bad food, unfriendly service, and long wait times. Absolutely not recommended.

I visited the Hindu Kusch Restaurant in Munich and was absolutely thrilled. The food was incredibly delicious and full of authentic flavors. The Afghan specialties were particularly delicious – perfectly seasoned and freshly prepared. The service was warm and attentive, making you feel immediately welcome. The atmosphere is also very cozy and inviting. The value for money is excellent – ​​really fair for the quality and generous portions. I will definitely be back and highly recommend the Hindu Kusch Restaurant!

Absolutely delicious — we devoured everything between the two of us! The portions were huge, the meat was fragrant, and the bread was both soft and crisp. We even took an extra serving of rice to go. Just a note: the yogurt-based drink might be an acquired taste if you’re not familiar with it.

This meal will keep you full for hours. I had a plate of lamb chops, and it was so deliciously seasoned. It came with flatbread on the side. I recommend pairing the flatbread with the dish. Simply dip a little into the sauce or dish. The wait is a bit long, but the dish is freshly prepared.

Great food! Service is pretty ok though. Staff is constantly busy, too busy to actually take a proper order. It is quite hard to get their attention, they seem distracted because they have more than 1 thing to attend to at the same time.

The food was really good when the place first opened. Now it tastes subpar, and the portions are tiny. As if that weren't enough, our waiter was disorganized and rude. I think he was the head waiter. The cash register system was broken or glitch-ridden; it suddenly stopped working. So we were forced to go to the nearest ATM and withdraw money, paying a €5 fee. When we mentioned that we now had to pay a fee because their technology wasn't working, they said, "So what?" What we found worst was how unfriendly the staff was.

Very expensive, poor taste. I had to wait up to 17 minutes for my order. Imagine, you can feed five people a meal in Frankfurt for a similar price.

So basically the service was so bad, we waited for more then 30 minutes for our food while people who just came got their food already, and they do have their favouritism, the service is very slow, the food is good but the service and everything else is bad.

This place is very slow and might take an hour to deliver your food, and it's also very expensive. I wouldn't recommend coming here. They can't even bring you two Cokes.

Hello everyone. One day, while eating rice at this restaurant, I took a stone out of my mouth—that is, out of the rice I was eating. While trying to chew and swallow it, I complained to the management. They told me so in their replies. What can we do? It was as if I had to go there, wash the rice for them, and look inside. On my second visit, there was a bug in the food. I mean, worm, I didn't know what to do; I was disgusted. I officially went and called the administrators. I wanted them to put an end to this disgrace. The men told me. What can we do? All the products come from Afghanistan in ready-made bags. We simply pour it into the kettle and boil it. Is there such a disgrace?👎🏻

If you're served stale bread at an Afghan restaurant, it's definitely not a good Afghan restaurant. The food was cold and not particularly tasty. We ordered three chai, and the man brought a pot of chai, which is more expensive. When I asked for it while paying, the people there booed and gaslighted me. I should have gone to one of the numerous other restaurants on the same street instead.

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was okay but the Chutney pots were visibly dirty as they were probably used by multiple customers in one day, tables weren’t wiped down, the Green Tea with Cardamom in menu was just a simple tea made with teabags, staff was handling food without wearing gloves. On top of the poor hygiene, the staff were unprofessional. They ignored us for a while, didn’t seem to care about the customers. The management needs to teach the staff how to welcome a customer or take an order? I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values cleanliness and good service.

The food was prepared completely carelessly - dry meat, bland spices and the rice was half raw. The portions were tiny compared to the price, and unfortunately the staff were unfriendly and seemed annoyed when we politely asked for some water. The atmosphere was also unpleasant - loud, messy and not at all inviting. I cannot for the life of me understand how this restaurant can have such good reviews. Maybe it was different once, but today it was just bad. I definitely won't be coming back.

The first impression of any restaurant is its ambiance, but unfortunately, this establishment lacks any noticeable atmosphere. The music selection is uninspiring and does little to enhance the dining experience. However, the most disappointing aspect is the service. The staff appears untrained and unfamiliar with proper guest service etiquette. Additionally, the drinks are served either in plastic bottles without a glass or directly in cans, which diminishes the overall dining experience. The lassi is bland and lacks any distinct flavor. While the food itself is good, several key elements—such as service quality and presentation—are missing, leaving much to be desired.

I had a chicken durum for a quick snack and it was incredibly delicious and flavorful. Apart of chicken they put fried and fresh veggies which gives nice texture and mix of temperatures and wrap it into fresh flatbread. It’s a bit pricy, but absolutely worth it.

Wohl sehr authentischer Afghane. Gäste sind zu 90% Landsleute, daher scheint das echte afghanische Küche zu sein. Zu jedem Essen gibt es ein leckeres Fladenbrot. Teigtaschen waren vorzüglich, Auberginen etwas sehr ölig. Sehr voll und sehr laut. Bedingung aber schnell und zuvorkommend. Schon um 18 Uhr bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt - also unbedingt reservieren.

One of my favorite lunch spots. Service is friendly and quick, food is tasty and the portions generous. I recommend Kababe Morgh (barbequed chicken breast with salad and fresh flatbread) and to drink warm black tea or cold dogh (joghurt with sliced cucumber and herbs).

It was my first time in Hindu Kush and I was very surprised at how delicious it was. We ate both Mantu and Ashak, both very great! Personally, I liked Ashak more as it had minced meat gravy on top. At Mantu the dumplings were larger. But both in the combination were great. You can tell that it's home cooking because the store is very busy. The dishes that arrived at other tables also looked large and tasty (be careful, very large portions of rice)

Very good with wonderful service!!! We arrived to Atrium Hotel after a long days journey and the hotel recommended Hindukush. We were hesitant to come because of latest reviews, but it was packed with guests so we decided to go and so glad we did because our experience was 5 stars across the board!! We had lentil soup (delicious!!!) and shared the large plate of lamb chops, also very tender and delicious!!! The flat bread they have is so unique with a mixture of crunchy and chewy. They are very large and we ate 3! We loved it so much we will for sure be back!

The first time I asked about a place to pray, they responded as if they had no idea. The prices were too high. Qabuli Palaw wasn't what I expected. The kebab was either undercooked or burnt.

This restaurant is an absolute disgrace! Today I only ordered a Machicha Palaw, a Chalaw, water, and Ayran. Since I was with my child, they brought extra French fries without asking. The bill was an absolute disgrace: 47 euros! They don't issue bills and only accept cash. In the end, I paid 50 euros, but the waiter didn't give me any change. Even though I asked twice, he acted like he hadn't heard me. Since I was with my child, I didn't want to escalate the situation any further and left. Conclusion: Avoid this restaurant at all costs! The waiters behave like robbers.
