As soon as you enter Hindukush, you're greeted warmly and attentively. The service is impressively fast yet personal – orders arrive at your table without any significant wait. Many Afghan guests dine here, which speaks to the restaurant's authenticity, but locals and tourists are equally welcome. The portions are generous, the food is exceptionally flavorful, and the meat is of the highest quality. I'd especially like to highlight the cardamom tea – absolutely extraordinary and a must-try on every visit. Overall, the team has won us over as regulars. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank them for their hospitality, the fantastic food, and the consistently excellent service. A restaurant we can wholeheartedly recommend.

Banging food!! Amazinggg!! Got this to go on Christmas eve and it's so good, my family loved it so much they wanted to leave a good review. Service was also amazing, they treated us warmly. They let us sit inside and served us tea while we waited for our food.

The food is really good. The brown rice is a must try. The portions are generous. The service was good - when they got busy towards the end of our meal the service dropped off as they were spread too thin but they do try really hard. The waiters are very polite and well trained.

I give Hindukush in Munich a 3-star rating. The restaurant has a few weaknesses that detracted from the overall experience. For one, the lamb chops were over-marinated, which masked the flavor of the meat. They were also a bit tough. Regarding the service: The waiter unfortunately forgot to add a drink to the bill. We pointed this out, and he brought us a new bill. However, he calculated the tip himself without asking us, which I didn't appreciate. Overall, the food at Hindukush was okay, but there are certainly better restaurants in Munich worth trying.

I was really not satisfied this time. The food arrived much later than expected and was unfortunately completely cold. As a result, it had hardly any flavor and I couldn't really enjoy it. It would be really important for the food to at least be delivered warm or hot if there's a delay. I sincerely hope you'll pay more attention to this in the future.

I'm in Munich for work, but I'm originally from Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Hindu Kush is within walking distance of my hotel and had excellent reviews – and rightly so! The food is truly delicious, the service is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is perfectly fine. Anyone in the area should definitely try this restaurant.

I really like this place. The prices are very good especially for lunch menu. The service is fast and sraff are nice. The fresh baked bread is excellent. Its not a perfect restaurant but since its not possible to give it 4.5 l am giving 5 stars.[ Not that it matters because these days every business rating is high thanks to the google policy in Germany that gives them the option to delete the comment and rating because it is defamation! I visited the Hindu Kusch Restaurant in Munich and was absolutely thrilled. The food was incredibly delicious and full of authentic flavors. The Afghan specialties were particularly delicious – perfectly seasoned and freshly prepared. The service was warm and attentive, making you feel immediately welcome. The atmosphere is also very cozy and inviting. The value for money is excellent – ​​really fair for the quality and generous portions. I will definitely be back and highly recommend the Hindu Kusch Restaurant!

Absolutely delicious — we devoured everything between the two of us! The portions were huge, the meat was fragrant, and the bread was both soft and crisp. We even took an extra serving of rice to go. Just a note: the yogurt-based drink might be an acquired taste if you’re not familiar with it.

This meal will keep you full for hours. I had a plate of lamb chops, and it was so deliciously seasoned. It came with flatbread on the side. I recommend pairing the flatbread with the dish. Simply dip a little into the sauce or dish. The wait is a bit long, but the dish is freshly prepared.

Great food! Service is pretty ok though. Staff is constantly busy, too busy to actually take a proper order. It is quite hard to get their attention, they seem distracted because they have more than 1 thing to attend to at the same time.

Very expensive, poor taste. I had to wait up to 17 minutes for my order. Imagine, you can feed five people a meal in Frankfurt for a similar price.

The food was really good when the place first opened. Now it tastes subpar, and the portions are tiny. As if that weren't enough, our waiter was disorganized and rude. I think he was the head waiter. The cash register system was broken or glitch-ridden; it suddenly stopped working. So we were forced to go to the nearest ATM and withdraw money, paying a €5 fee. When we mentioned that we now had to pay a fee because their technology wasn't working, they said, "So what?" What we found worst was how unfriendly the staff was.

So basically the service was so bad, we waited for more then 30 minutes for our food while people who just came got their food already, and they do have their favouritism, the service is very slow, the food is good but the service and everything else is bad.

This place is very slow and might take an hour to deliver your food, and it's also very expensive. I wouldn't recommend coming here. They can't even bring you two Cokes.

While trying to chew and swallow it, I complained to the management. They told me so in their replies. What can we do? It was as if I had to go there, wash the rice for them, and look inside. On my second visit, there was a bug in the food. I mean, worm, I didn't know what to do; I was disgusted. I officially went and called the administrators. I wanted them to put an end to this disgrace. The men told me. What can we do? All the products come from Afghanistan in ready-made bags. We simply pour it into the kettle and boil it. If you're served stale bread at an Afghan restaurant, it's definitely not a good Afghan restaurant. The food was cold and not particularly tasty. We ordered three chai, and the man brought a pot of chai, which is more expensive. When I asked for it while paying, the people there booed and gaslighted me. I should have gone to one of the numerous other restaurants on the same street instead.

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was okay but the Chutney pots were visibly dirty as they were probably used by multiple customers in one day, tables weren’t wiped down, the Green Tea with Cardamom in menu was just a simple tea made with teabags, staff was handling food without wearing gloves. On top of the poor hygiene, the staff were unprofessional. They ignored us for a while, didn’t seem to care about the customers. The management needs to teach the staff how to welcome a customer or take an order? I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values cleanliness and good service.
