Delicious and authentic food. The meat was excellent, tender, and juicy. A very pleasant, quiet, and relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff.

Very tasty food, with some vegetarian options. One star deducted for the dodgy location, which isn't the restaurant's fault, but it makes me wonder if I should come back.

A good experience, but not entirely convincing. The service and decor are rather functional. Not bad at all, but nothing particularly outstanding either. I found it somewhat disappointing that an Afghan restaurant didn't offer Afghan tea. The appetizer was okay, but the spice selection could have been more varied. The main course, however, was a hit. The lamb was of good quality, and the okra was very tasty.

Delicious food and a modern atmosphere await you at this restaurant. All dishes are also available for takeout. The food is authentic and well-seasoned. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you plan to eat there on weekends or in the evening, it's advisable to reserve a table in advance.

Since I unexpectedly had to spend more time than planned in the main train station area today, I went looking for a nearby restaurant with good reviews. That's how I came across the restaurant "Pivasta." Without high expectations, I went to the address and was immediately greeted by a server upon entering. I asked if there was a table for one, which was offered to me in no time. Barely a minute later, I received cutlery and a menu. I opted for the lamb mince skewer and a yogurt drink called "Dogh." After the menu was closed, it was again barely a minute before the server came to my table to take my order. Shortly afterward, my drink arrived, which I immediately tried. A soft, cool yogurt drink, similar to Ayran but a bit smoother, also seasoned with dill and served with small pieces of cucumber. A very welcome stimulant for my hunger. Barely five minutes later, the server brought my order – minced lamb skewers with white and brown rice, okra, and a tomato sauce. The okra wasn't overcooked but perfectly balanced, and the tomato sauce wasn't overpowering. Both blended beautifully with the rice, whose soft texture pleasantly surprised me. The minced lamb was very subtly seasoned, with a spiciness that tingled on the palate and a subtle sweetness that complemented each bite. The white bread was still warm, soft inside and crispy outside, just the way I like it. All in all, my visit to Pivasta was a highly satisfying dining experience that I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants to understand the cultural cuisine of Afghanistan. My only minor criticism, though a very nitpicky one, is that the owners could invest a bit more in the interior design – however, the ambiance at Pivasta is already very pleasant and cozy. Although salt and pepper are on the tables, as you'll realize after the first bite, neither is necessary. It was a pleasure, and certainly not the last.

Anytime again!! Great restaurant!! Excellent and attentive service. All in all, 5 out of 5 stars. As you can see in the pictures, we had 3 starters and one of the main courses with lamb chops. Generous portions. Everyone was more than satisfied! If you're ever here, be sure to try everything! The lamb was so tender and juicy; I've never eaten meat like it anywhere else. Everything we ate was so good, but if I had to choose, it's definitely the lamb chops. Don't miss it! The Mantu was great, Pilaf was awesome. Small place with warm service. Definitely recommended!

First time eating Afghan cuisine and really liked it. We had the Borani Kadu- delicious! And then shared the Qabuli-Palau. Depth of flavor without being overly spiced. Really really good!

Had a wonderful dinner here ordered the lamb chops and the chicken tikka kebab along with a side plate of eggplant Every dish was amazing Some of the reviews really talked about the bread. I felt that the bread was average, but the rest of the dishes were incredible. They should be a must visit for someone who enjoys Middle Eastern food.

I ordered biryani, and it was so delicious I ordered it again. Excellent restaurant, wonderful people, father and son, and halal. Literally, this is the best biryani I've ever tasted in my life, even better than Indian restaurants. The vegetable samosas were delicious too.

A distinctive Afghan restaurant. The large rice, which we call Bukhari, is delicious. The pumpkin appetizers are excellent. The price is reasonable.

I ate at the PiVASTA restaurant and was completely impressed. The mantu and lamb chops were particularly outstanding – fresh, tender, and prepared with love. The quality of the food was top-notch! I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant – everything was very well-maintained and tidy. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. A visit that was truly worthwhile – I would gladly return and can highly recommend PiVASTA!

Went because of the positive reviews and didn’t disappoint. Shared all the courses and was amazing. Dumplings were excellent. For mains best dishes were lamb chops or tikka. But all was good.

Hidden gem, on a rowdy street. Nicely decorated, polite staff (especially Daria), and excellent food! Located on a street that isn’t very appealing, but once you step inside the restaurant you forget the outside atmosphere. Tried the following based on the waitress recommendation: Mantu - dumplings with ground beef and onions inside, covered with a sauce - this was delicious Gegrillte gehacte Lammspiess-Chalau - spicy lamb skewer with okra - not very spicy, just enough so you can taste it - absolutely delicious!! Naan Bread - not like Indian naan bread - this one is lighter and the sesame adds an amazing flavour Absolutely loved this restaurant and I highly recommend it.

Delicious! As a main course we had both lamb dishes and they were both really delicious! Perfectly cooked lamb chops and deliciously spiced lamb skewers. We had both a starter to share and a dessert. The service was also great!

It was so good and it smells so good! So comforting, very tasty, the taste of love in the dishes. Unfortunately, I don't remember the names of the dishes except for the Dahl, but they were all good! Even though I came purely for the beer, I still really liked it. The radler is mild in taste, very pleasant service (the only caveat is that the wait staff was wearing a stained T-shirt). The interior is interesting (gilded elements, copper taps in the restroom, brick walls in some places), the furniture is new and, most importantly, a perfectly clean toilet. Special respect for this!!

I ordered Chicken Tikka – the chicken was super tender, very tasty and perfectly seasoned. The rice was OK, but could have been a little more flavorful. The restaurant itself looks very nice, the atmosphere is pleasant. The location is good and the waiting times were pleasantly short. The service was friendly and attentive. The only criticism: the portion really wasn't very big for the price. I would have expected a little more. Still, overall a really good restaurant that I can recommend!

It was generally very tasty, but we were a bit lacking in spice (the oomph), but we don't know whether there is much spice at all in Afghan cuisine. Particularly noteworthy is the very friendly young female service staff. However, one star has to be deducted because we find the food - especially the starters - a bit expensive, especially in the Bahnhofsviertel location.

We spontaneously visited the Pivasta in Munich and were pleasantly surprised. The food was really excellent! The Ashak are particularly recommended as a starter - they are great to share and are a great start to the evening. The vegetarian biryani was aromatic and served with a very tasty curd. I would have liked some vegetables as a topping to round off the dish perfectly. I can also only recommend the Borani Badenjan-Chalau - delicious and ideal for sharing the dishes with each other. Another plus point: If the restaurant is full, you can also sit down at a table, which is great if you're hungry and just want the delicious food. Only the light was a bit too bright for my taste, which meant the atmosphere didn't seem quite as cozy. Nevertheless: The food was excellent and the service was very friendly.

Sehr gutes Essen bei sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Auch meine Frau hat ein leckeres vegetarisches Gericht erhalten. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hierherkommen.

A very good Afghan restaurant. At first we just wanted to have a drink because we didn't have much time. Then we felt like eating something. It was a very good decision. We loved everything we ordered. The lamb chop was perfectly cooked. The dumplings were exceeding expectations; they have such nice middle eastern flavors. The chicken was juicy and tender. Service was fast and friendly and the ambience is calming and relaxing. Love this restaurant.

Everything we tried was delicious. The "mantu" as a starter, and then super tender chicken and lamb ribs with rice and a delicious sauce. Nothing heavy. Not spicy either. If in Munich it is worth trying this Afghan food. The dessert we ate was typical Afghan like a milk pudding with pistachios, nothing imaginable. Very good. Excellent service.
