Der geschmorte Kürbis ist eines der besten Gerichte, die ich je gegessen habe. Ich werde in Zukunft bei jeder Reise nach oder über München einen Zwischenhalt hier einplanen.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal im Herat Restaurant, nachdem es uns von vielen Freunden empfohlen wurde. Obwohl wir schon oft afghanisch essen waren, hat uns dieses Restaurant wirklich überrascht. Das Essen überzeugt mit einer einzigartigen Kombination aus orientalischen Gewürzen und sorgt für ein außergewöhnliches Geschmackserlebnis. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Besitzer Homayoun, der uns sehr herzlich empfangen und mit seinen Empfehlungen hervorragend beraten hat. Man merkt sofort, mit wie viel Leidenschaft und Liebe hier gearbeitet wird. Wir werden auf jeden Fall bald wiederkommen! Für uns ist das Herat Restaurant das beste afghanische Restaurant in München. Absolute Empfehlung!

Absoluter Geheimtipp! Leckeres Essen, entspannte Atmosphäre und das beste Lamm aus München. Der Besitzer ist super nett und berät dich zu seiner Speisekarte, wenn man ihn darum bittet. Unbedingt den Kürbis zur Vorspeise probieren :)

Wir waren an einem Freitagabend gegen 17.30 Uhr spontan zur zweit hier essen. Kann nur empfehlen früh am Abend zu kommen, später war viel los. Das Essen war super lecker; von Vorspeise zum Dessert. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Große Gruppen sollen reservieren, besonders wenn die Terrasse Herbst/Winter nicht auf hat.

Es war wirklich unglaublich lecker. Besonders der Reis. Da sind allerlei andere Geschmacksträger drin wie saffran gekochte Mandeln und Orangenschalen...super!

Ein kleines Restaurant weitab von den Touristengebieten, das Essen ist ziemlich kalt, und ich kann einen Besuch dort nicht empfehlen.

Kleines Restaurant mit fantastischem afghanischen Essen. Wir waren zu viert und jeder war mit seiner Wahl (vegetarisch sowie nicht vegetarisch) zufrieden, was äußerst selten vorkommt. Der Service war auch sehr herzlich - alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Essen schmeckt super lecker. Vor Allem Kabobe Tekka und Mantu , Qaboli Ich habe über Lieferando bestellt , würde immer wieder bestellen

Wir waren rundum begeistert vom Restaurant Herat. Schon beim Eintreten wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt. Der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und stets bemüht, jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker, frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich hervorragend abgestimmt. Man merkt, dass hier mit viel Sorgfalt und Leidenschaft gekocht wird. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können das Restaurant Herat uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Ich kann dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Das Ambiente ist hervorragend, der Inhaber äußerst zuvorkommend, und das Essen war vorzüglich. Wir haben hier unser neues Stammrestaurant gefunden. Eine klare Weiterempfehlung.

Super leckeres afghanisches Essen. Nicht so fettig und schwer wie in anderen afghanischen Restaurants (die wir in München bereits ausprobiert haben) und wahnsinnig vielseitig gewürzt! Fanden die anderen afghanischen Restaurants schon gut. Aber Herat ist nochmal um Welten besser!!!! Nur zu empfehlen! P.s.: Haben bisher nur die vegetarischen Gerichte probiert. Aber hier sowohl Vorspeisen, als auch Hauptgerichte. Immer gerne wieder!!

Your food was bad. The quality was poor. It wasn't Afghan food. Your kofta had no flavor and your food was far too expensive.

Overall very good restaurant, small and cozy. Food is excellent and also healthy, not fatty or heavy. Portions are quite big. The lamb was very tender, rice was rounded and well seasoned, and the spinach was great too.

The food is generally delicious, but the amount of meat and chicken is very small, and the prices are generally high.

The wrong website is listed; if you order directly from them, the order is logged after 20 minutes, and they claim it's not being processed through them and they're not responsible. Better not order from them!

Good food on a quiet street, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside.

I regret to say that the worst restaurant i have visited ever in Münich. I have been told by the manager that simple rice cost 10 euros and Qabili palaw costs 25 euro so I have ordered Qabili palaw with 25 euros and received just simple rice with separate little meat and vegetable. Although the qablili Palau should include meat in it. The rice was not soft but hard. I will never visit this restaurant anymore and recommend no one to visit. I have gave one star just for good behaviour. I regret to visit such restaurant. Kabul Zaiqa restaurant offer tasty food with cheaper price for example such palaw with just 16.99 and 19.99 euro

We were the only guests there and had to wait 45 minutes for food. In my opinion, the food and drinks were completely overpriced. For example, a dhow cost €8, whereas an Iranian restaurant costs €4, and the main course averaged €25. The waiter wore a stained apron, and the tray we were served drinks on was also dirty. That put me off my appetite. The waiter doesn't speak German, which led to a misunderstanding over our order. So, the value for money is very poor. We didn't try the food, so I can't rate it.

Been wanting Afghanistan Palau for a while and this restaurant is not far and has good reviews. It didn't disappoint, just the appetizer has very small portion with 2 pieces of bread. We got lamb dish one is the 104 which was lamb cubes inside the rice, the other was lamb haxe (lamb shank), the meat was better with the haxe but the rice was better in the 104 dish.

The first thing you must try here is the Kabuli Pulao. The rice is so fragrant and tasty, and the mixture of spices is on another level. I have been here twice and did not have to wait long, however I came a few minutes after they reopened in the evening which I don’t think is a peak time for them.

Unfortunately, our order was very late and when the food was brought out it was cold. These are the two major drawbacks of the restaurant. Another strange thing is that both the waiter and the cashier asked personal questions!!!! The prices of the food were also a bit high compared to the service and quality of the food.

We visited this restaurant yesterday and were absolutely thrilled! We ordered dishes 159 and 163 – both were incredibly delicious. The portions were generous, everything freshly prepared, full of flavor, and perfectly seasoned. The lamb was a particular highlight – incredibly tender and grilled to perfection. You can simply taste the love and skill that goes into the cooking here. We were equally impressed by the warm hospitality and attentive staff. From the very first moment, we felt welcome and completely at home – you rarely experience such a warm atmosphere in Munich. We'll be back soon – a true gem for anyone who loves (or wants to get to know) Afghan cuisine!
