For 50 euros you don't get any cutlery or serving (when you pick up your meal).

Four of us enter, two adults and two children, in a thunderstorm. I ask for a beer at the counter, the owner tells me that you can only eat, not drink, but everyone around me has beer. I point to the tap, and he tells me it's broken. But clearly he doesn't want us, he tells us to go to an Italian restaurant, basically, send us away so we don't get welcomed wet. What can I say? Goodbye.

This is the best food I've ever tasted. Yesterday, I placed a large order for pickup for my guests at home, and the restaurant was very helpful and generous. I would always eat my favorite Kabuli Pulau here.

We were the only guests there and had to wait 45 minutes for food. In my opinion, the food and drinks were completely overpriced. For example, a dhow cost €8, whereas an Iranian restaurant costs €4, and the main course averaged €25. The waiter wore a stained apron, and the tray we were served drinks on was also dirty. That put me off my appetite. The waiter doesn't speak German, which led to a misunderstanding over our order. So, the value for money is very poor. We didn't try the food, so I can't rate it.

Been wanting Afghanistan Palau for a while and this restaurant is not far and has good reviews. It didn't disappoint, just the appetizer has very small portion with 2 pieces of bread. We got lamb dish one is the 104 which was lamb cubes inside the rice, the other was lamb haxe (lamb shank), the meat was better with the haxe but the rice was better in the 104 dish.

Extremely delicious food! Everything's homemade, you can taste it! The dumplings and rice with raisins and chicken skewers were great :)

The first thing you must try here is the Kabuli Pulao. The rice is so fragrant and tasty, and the mixture of spices is on another level. I have been here twice and did not have to wait long, however I came a few minutes after they reopened in the evening which I don’t think is a peak time for them.

The food was so delicious! The eggplant appetizer with naan was particularly amazing, and there was a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Service was very friendly; everything just took a little longer, but that's not a problem when the food is so good!

Unfortunately, our order was very late and when the food was brought out it was cold. These are the two major drawbacks of the restaurant. Another strange thing is that both the waiter and the cashier asked personal questions!!!! The prices of the food were also a bit high compared to the service and quality of the food.

We visited this restaurant yesterday and were absolutely thrilled! We ordered dishes 159 and 163 – both were incredibly delicious. The portions were generous, everything freshly prepared, full of flavor, and perfectly seasoned. The lamb was a particular highlight – incredibly tender and grilled to perfection. You can simply taste the love and skill that goes into the cooking here. We were equally impressed by the warm hospitality and attentive staff. From the very first moment, we felt welcome and completely at home – you rarely experience such a warm atmosphere in Munich. We'll be back soon – a true gem for anyone who loves (or wants to get to know) Afghan cuisine!

Food was great. But service and ambience are not. It's too cramped, tasteless facilities. The waitresses were all inappropriately dressed and one of them couldn't speak any German. Order taken incorrectly. But they were very friendly. Everything would be ok if it hadn't been so damn expensive. The presentation of a home service shed and the prices of a high-end restaurant do not match. Was the first and last time...

Order via Lieferando: for 23-28 euros per portion, some rice and 3 pieces of meat... and a mini side dish - one meal only came with a potato side dish instead of the minced meatballs ordered (1 potato). Very stingy portions, expensive prices.

Very tasty food, and we also got green tea.

The starter of fried eggplant with tomato sugo and yogurt was very successful. The chicken skewer was also very grilled and the spinach side dish was very tasty. Since I can't tolerate chili spiciness, I'm also very grateful that it wasn't seasoned with it in the first place. The room temperature could be a little higher in winter, but overall a very pleasant atmosphere.

Great place for Afghan food. We went for a birthday of twelve people. Although the place is a little small for so many people, the place is cozy and you are comfortable. As for the food, the quality is great, and the quantity is enormous. Totally recommended.

It was a very nice evening, with nice service, cozy space and incredibly delicious food! Our meat dishes with rice and vegetables as a side dish were very, very good, wonderfully seasoned and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back and will make reservations just to be on the safe side because it got very full very quickly.

The Herat is an absolute insider tip in Munich - the dishes are extremely tasty and a real experience for those who are otherwise more used to German cuisine. The owner is very friendly, only the seating inside is a bit tight. Absolute recommendation from us!

The starters were very tasty! The main courses were basically good too, However, the chapati bread was a bit dry and hard. The service was very courteous and nice. At the end we even got a small dessert on the house.

A friend wanted to try something different to celebrate his birthday, and he definitely made the right decision by choosing this restaurant. First, I think the service was a bit slow, but this was compensated for by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. The restaurant is quite simple but cozy and charming. As for the food, all of our dishes were exquisite beyond words. We started the meal with an interesting appetizer which consisted of deep-fried pieces of chicken with three different sauces, with the red one being the most captivating due to its sweet-spicy touch. I had a lamb dish which was basically diced lamb, rice, and eggplants. The lamb was extremely tender and perfectly cooked. The rice with nuts and orange was juicy, tasty, and tremendously well-seasoned. The eggplants with their tomato sauce provided the perfect balance to the dish. All of my friends also praised the uniqueness and flavors of their dishes, making this place an excellent choice for a perfect and delicious dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Delicious Afghan food! In Herat there is a large selection of different Afghan dishes. The service is attentive and quick. The lamps are nice, but otherwise the ambience is rather random and sometimes a bit worn, which is a bit of a shame. Because the food is fantastic. It came to the table very nicely prepared. Everything was wonderfully seasoned. I would definitely visit the restaurant again, but then sit in the attractive outdoor area.

Sehr schönes kleines Restaurant.....wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Orientalische Kissen, orientiertalische Musik. Netter Service. Und dann das super leckere Essen. Zur Verkürzung der Wartezeit kam ein "kleiner Gruß aus der Küche", dann genossen wir die Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte ..... sowohl vegetarisch als auch mit Lamm- oder Hähnchenfleisch. Für mich war der Reis mit Bitterorangenschale und Granatapfelkernen, dazu Aubergine, ein wahrer Genuss. Große Portionen, faires Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

It was the first time I ate Afghan cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised by the oriental taste. The place is small but charming, I had a reservation and ate very well. The wine and cocktail are also very good. We will come back.

I flew in from Barcelona into Munich and had the urge to try Afghani food. Like most of us, I did my google search and checked the rating and decided to go to Herat Restaurant. A smaller place close to my business meeting. I was the first customer for the evening dinner. After looking at the menu I tried the lamb kabab with salad. I must say that it was out of this world good. Gave my compliments to the proud owner - Homayon. A very nice, down to earth individual with a passion for great service and food for this restaurant. My vote - a must try when you are in Munich.

Very tasty food. However, we almost froze to death in the restaurant. Four men...! Other guests left their down jackets on. We sometimes put our winter jackets back on despite the thick wool sweater, but our feet got ice cold over time. A pity.

The Borani Kadu is very good. I also had a meat skewer with rice with bitter orange, I have never had such wonderful rice. The restaurant is very small, I recommend making a reservation.
