To whom it may concern, I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to your restaurant. First and foremost, I thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was delicious, and the service was both quick and friendly, which I truly appreciated. However, I did encounter an experience at the end of my visit that left a lasting negative impression. Before paying, I was asked if everything had been to my satisfaction, and while I responded affirmatively, I also offered some honest feedback, mentioning that I found the portion of rice served with the main course to be quite small. I was hoping this would be taken as constructive criticism, but the response I received was a rather dismissive suggestion that I could simply order more rice. My comment was meant to highlight that for the price of a main dish, it’s hard to justify being charged an additional €2.50 for a portion of rice large enough to feel satisfied. I accepted the situation and asked for the total bill. I was then quoted a price higher than what the actual amount turned out to be, which led me to leave a higher tip than I might have, as I wanted to recognize the overall good service. It was only after I had left that I realized the actual total was lower than what I had been told. This left me feeling quite disheartened, especially considering the dismissive remark earlier. I’m writing to you because, having worked in the service industry myself for many years, I know that in today’s competitive landscape, customer orientation is key to long-term success. Experiences like this one can lead customers to think twice before returning, even when the food is excellent. While this may not have an immediate impact if business is good, such interactions can affect customer loyalty in the long run. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. Very tasty food, nice service and everything happens super quickly. I can highly recommend the fried dumplings as a starter and Ganjang Chicken. The only thing I don't like is the atmosphere with the tables very close together. I just don't feel very comfortable sitting arm-in-arm with or between other people.

Never again ! Service is unacceptable! I was told this afternoon that I am not allowed to occupy a free table as a single person, as you have to leave this only free table for four people. Although the free table was not reserved and I could have finished my lunch in 15 minutes and left the table free again. I have never experienced anything like this in any other restaurant in Freiburg, simply outrageous! You should respect the customers a little more, even if it's busy lunch time.

My visit to Jeju Korean Bistro in Freiburg was really great. The food was excellent, you can taste that everything was homemade. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and clean. We would definitely like to come back! It always seems to be busy, which shows how popular it is.

We were warmly welcomed with strollers! The map is small and clear. The food really tasted very good and the staff were all very nice too! If you want good and authentic Korean food, this is the right place for you. Gladly again :)

The service was quick depending on the number of guests (it was quite full) and the interior is simple but not unpleasant. Had the Dolsot Bulgogi Bibimbab (hot stone vessel in which rice with marinated beef and various vegetables is served) and it is similar to what you get in Seoul, so too sweet for my taste, but the rice and toppings were perfectly fine. The fact that you don't get any banchan (side dishes) with the dish is a minus, but the kimchi (which you have to pay extra for) is plentiful and relatively good.

I've only ever eaten Korean BBQ and wanted to try bibimbap this time. Since the menu here is very clear and most of it consists of this dish, I was in good spirits and wasn't disappointed. I thought it tasted very good and you could add some extra seasoning with the sauces that were served with it. Plus, my beef was super tender. This was very rare in a restaurant and was my highlight of the dish. The hot bowl was really great because it made the rice nice and crispy. Unfortunately my drink had a bit too much ice cubes added to it, which lost some of the flavor of the plum drink - which was a bit of a shame. At first glance, the atmosphere was also authentic and inviting. You just shouldn't look too closely because then you'll notice a few defects here and there. But I would eat there again at any time and I felt very welcome there.

What a great place. Unfortunately we don't come to Freiburg too often but this bistro is definitely a 10/10. Service, speed, quality all excellent!

A great addition to Freiburg's slowly growing scene of higher quality asian eateries. Food is authentic Korean "bistro" food (ie no Korean BBQ but other, typical dishes like Bibimbap). The interior design is also really nice.

Food could have had more service. is planned so minimally that you pay extra for each part. Even for something as fundamental as an egg in BiBimBap, that really amazed me. non-organic, non-regional, 2€ surcharge. I got tired of looking at it on the map. otherwise nice Korean cuisine, as I'm used to. Very sweet two waitresses. Eloquent, nice, can express themselves elaborately in German and have a pleasant manner.

A Western employee has a poor service attitude. There were still plenty of tables outside, but she kept me waiting. I have eaten here many times, not the first time🙂

Been here for the first time (as a couple). We enjoyed it very much, the kimchi was to die for. The two main courses (chicken and bulgogi) were on point. We'll be back! :)

This is a typical korean restaurant like you could see in others cities. The dishes lack flavor, but the products are fresh and the service makes up for this small negative point.

The food was ok. The map was very clear. The food we ordered, three different dishes, wasn't something we would say WOW... It tasted good, but wasn't well seasoned. Or the three of us were unlucky. I know different somewhere else. Still, I think it's good. Thanks for the service.

Yesterday, I ate kimchi stew in Strasbourg, and soybean paste stew here in Freiburg. The taste of soybean paste stew is perfect for our taste. It is said that locals here also enjoy eating it. It's fascinating. The soup is made with thinly sliced ​​radish, pumpkin, and mushrooms, and also includes tofu. It blows away the greasy taste of cheese and meat that has lasted for nearly two weeks and gives you the strength to continue your trip again. I will eat dinner here tonight too. Highly recommended👍

Unfortunately, the authentic Korean cuisine offered in Jeju does not correspond to the true flavor intensity and variety of real Korean cuisine. The Bibim Bab in the hot stone bowl, which looked beautifully presented, is simply bland. The proportions of rice and toppings were simply not right. Even the important and typical chili paste was not refined in terms of taste. The pancake with spring onions and seafood impresses in Korea with its crispy consistency and high proportion of seafood and vegetables. What we were served was a flatbread that was far too thick, heavy and tasteless. The proportion of spring onions and seafood was pitiful. The two fried chicken dishes with different marinades were also coated with far too much batter. This means there is no typical crunch effect and the consistency is more reminiscent of tortellini. As if increasing the volume with a thick layer of dough wasn't enough, both chicken dishes were served with potatoes. Absolutely no go! It should only be mentioned in passing that the chili marinade is not authentic and the chicken radish vegetables served with it were completely tasteless. The kimchi stew was very salty for my taste, but my daughter enjoyed it. Conclusion in terms of taste intensity there is no comparison to real Korean cuisine. The food shouldn't be adapted to German tastes either, because all my German friends who are enthusiastic about Korean cuisine have always first learned to appreciate and love our food either privately or in Korea. Finally, from Korean to Korean. You should serve 3 types of side dishes as a service with every meal! 4 cubes of Gag Tugi (radish kimchi), 3-4 slices of Da Mu Zi (fermented radish) and a few pieces of Go Chu (pepper) with a dollop of Denjang (fermented bean paste) doesn't cost the world, but visually enhances it immensely and, above all, is authentic Korean gastronomy. Best Korean food in Freiburg. We come very regularly and get a place promptly even if you can't make a reservation. The waitresses are very friendly and on the ball. The food comes to the table very quickly.

Found by chance while visiting Freiburg, it was an opportunity to taste Korean cuisine. The place is small and there is also the possibility of eating outside in the summer. Fast, attentive staff and good food. Average prices. I recommend it without reservations.

The Jeju is a real enrichment for Freiburg's city center. Very good and attentive service rounds off the good food. Simply something special, cooked with love. Even though Korean isn't really my thing, it was really good.

Restaurant that offers Korean dishes. The staff is very friendly. The service was perfect. I am more divided when it comes to dishes. Theokbokki and kimchi Jjigae dishes are very good. The Dolsot Bulgogi (hot pot) is good but nothing more. It lacks a little flavor. The Bulgogi kim-bap, Yachae kim-bap and bulgogi (cold bibimbab) are very average. Mainly for a lack of flavor.

Very authentic Korean in the heart of Freiburg. For our (German) standards, the food was very well seasoned and balanced. Service was very nice and accommodating. They also went out of their way to help my gluten-free friend. Dogs are no problem either and water was even brought without asking. Unfortunately the seating inside is a bit cramped (bistro style). Very warm inside in midsummer (despite the fan).

This is the best Korean restaurant we have ever eaten at. We tried bibimbap and fried chicken in many German cities. It's really cozy here and the food is delicious. My children and I love it very much.

Basically it was ok, the service was very good, otherwise a very manageable shop. However, I have to deduct a star because I missed the WoW effect. The food was too monotonous for me, I would have expected something with gradations of taste.

Very tasty authentic Korean cuisine. The theokbokki and kim bap were very tasty. The Kim-Bap roll in particular is definitely worth it for the price and can also be perfectly shared. But my highlight were above all the crispy vegetable mandus and also the crispy Korean fried chicken, absolute recommendation!

With two days left before my family trip, I came back to Freiburg after traveling from Freiburg to Colmar and wanted to eat Korean food. I went to Jeju Island. I was told there was a wait of about 20 minutes, so they showed me a seat while I was waiting, so I looked at the menu and saw that there was a variety of menus. The menu I ordered was bulgogi, stone pot rice, and vegetables. I ordered stone pot rice and soybean paste stew, and although it was expensive, the portion was plentiful and the stew was delicious. I was very happy to see that one of the staff was not Korean but spoke Korean well.

Really good service was there with a few friends and a small child. Unfortunately they only have one high chair, which is a shame. We were unlucky that it was already occupied. Otherwise the menu is manageable, but all the dishes are perfectly coordinated and very delicious!!

Loved this meal. The food is so fresh and tasted so flavourful. The potatoes and kanpoongi were perfectly cooked - the dolsot bulgogi bibimbap with an egg on top was one of the best we have had. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and friendly service.

Very tasty Korean food. It is not possible to make a reservation, so there is often a queue in front of the restaurant. In our case we had to wait about 10 minutes. The restaurant is rather small and therefore quite narrow and loud. The service was nice and helpful. The food and the portions were very good. I would recommend the restaurant.

I, from another city, have eaten much tastier Korean chicken many times. I was even a little disappointed because I've only heard good things. In my city it is even cheaper by far. Personally, I wouldn't eat there again. I don't think there is a large selection of Korean chicken in Freiburg, so you would really like this. Kimchi was also very soggy and not crunchy at all.

Nice small Korean restaurant right in the heart of Freiburg. It's pretty popular so you may have to wait a bit to get seated since there are no reservations. The interior is nicely decorated and the overall ambience is very relaxed. The food on the other hand was a little disappointing. There are no side dishes, like I've come to expect from most Korean restaurants I've went to. The kimchi I ordered separately was pretty expensive and tasted like convenience store kimchi. The bibimbab was a generous portion that tasted good, but was mostly rice. Overall for the price you pay I'd only recommend going here if you're really craving Korean food. Unfortunately there are very few other options in Freiburg.

A small Korean restaurant I discovered by chance. Around 13:30, perhaps because it was the late lunch hour, I got in in 5 minutes even though it was Saturday. Bibimbap, kimchi stew, kimbap, kimchi pancakes, tteokbokki, soy sauce chicken, etc. were all generally delicious. The makgeolli served in a kettle was also delicious. Perhaps because I come from Switzerland, where prices are high, the prices feel very reasonable.

Just the room is small... otherwise top kitchen!!!

Nice small Korean restaurant with some amazing food. The fried chicken is really good, crunchy yet juicy. The staff was super nice and accommodating of the constantly changing size of our group, it was very appreciated. All of our group was very satisfied with their selections, will definitely go back!

The only Korean restaurant in town. The food selection are limited but the taste are good but not as spicy as it should be.

Super tasty and authentic food. Tastes like it was cooked by my Korean friend! Kimbap is highly recommended, kimchi is very tasty and fresh and bibimbap is also super tasty. Portion size is perfect, you are full but not overcrowded. We will definitely come back and eat our way through the menu piece by piece.

Nice shop, friendly staff, but unfortunately the food isn't convincing at all. The kimchi was soggy, had no bite and tasted like it was bought from an Asian market. The Mandu, which I received just 2 minutes after ordering, also tasted bought and not fresh. The third dish I had was Gim Bap. Unfortunately they were completely over salted and therefore tasted like nothing else. The tea was declared as matcha, but was probably a less intense Korean green tea powder. A pity. Anyone looking for authentic Korean cuisine will be disappointed here.

About the atmosphere: It's a bistro, pretty loud at lunchtime. The chairs are comfortable, not too cramped, tables of different sizes. Everything in lacquered black and gold. If the volume doesn't bother you, you'll feel comfortable. Tip to the restaurant: deafening noise when you throw cutlery into the cutlery drawer in an open space! That doesn't have to be the case? Important: No reservation. About the food: on a stopover to Japan we learned to love Korean cuisine. I really wanted the Bibimpap in the stone pot again: and you can get it here!!! You can order in a bowl or (a little more expensive) in a stone pot. Clearly: stone pot. I was thrilled 🤩 really like in Seoul 😋 The bistro was sought after by many Asian-looking people at lunchtime (I assume that they know this cuisine): it shows that it is good here. Personally, I don't find Korean cuisine to be that spicy; everyone could season their bowl with soy sauce and a sweet and sour sauce. The beef is also recommended. Conclusion: Recommended. I would love to come back!

Nice little restaurant! Food came hot from the kitchen, but unfortunately it got really cold in the metal bowl after a short time. For about €2 more you can get the stone bowl, which keeps the food warm throughout. That was a bit questionable for me for the price... The taste was great, the staff were nice and the food was on the table very quickly.

We went to JeJu for lunch on Wednesday. Unfortunately the food was cold and tasteless. I'm not a fan of eating in metal dishes anyway. If it's still cold, it won't get any better. The food itself was dry and if you only get flavor with soy sauce, that's just not enough for this price. Maybe the warm pot is better, but the bowls are not recommended. Value for money is poor. You get much better in Freiburg. Service and ambience are good.

Finally an authentic Korean bistro in the whole 200km radius surface area! The staff is great and super helpful! One of them is Korean so be sure to chat with her and ask her more about the food and customs! Kimchi spicy and fermented as it should be! Definitely recommended’!

The restaurant is busy, but it is very difficult to get a seat. The ambience is quite ok because of the high number of customers. I think if you sit further back in the restaurant it's even better, because if you sit right at the entrance it quickly gets cold on cold days. Otherwise it has nice facilities. The service is quite okay. The food for me was pretty bland and didn't really have any flavor. But the way the food was presented looked very nice.

Leider nehmen sie keine Reservierungen auf. Aber wir haben trotzdem Plätze bekommen. Sehr leckeres koreanisches Essen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Wir hatten Tteokbokki bestellt👉🏻 Achtung für die, die Schärfe nicht gewohnt sind: die Soße von Tteokbokki ist sehr scharf. Geschmacklich dennoch gut. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserer Bestellung: - Dolsot Bulgogi zu dem 2 Soßen zum Selbst-Dosieren serviert würde. - Yangyum Chicken: Reis ist im Preis inklusive. Schmeckt süßlich, LEICHT scharf. Fritierte Chicken und und Kartoffeln waren knusprig trotzdem eingeschenkt in süß -scharfer Soße. Fantastisches Essen zum Empfehlen! 🫰🏻
