IRMI in München

Went for dinner one night and enjoyed it so much went for a late bite after the football game. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. I have a food allergy and our server Edwin went out of his way to make sure with the kitchen staff that what I ordered was safe for me. He was knowledgeable and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend Irmi.

Booked a table for a special occasion, three months ahead and from 16,000km away, only to have it cancelled unceremoniously by the establishment at the last minute. Rocked up at the place on time only to be shown an iPad screen saying "Reservierung Storniert" and a royal wave.

Michelin-level cuisine, very elegant and unobtrusive service. Fish in tom yum sauce is more than food, it is a real food experience! ❤️

Classic German dishes in a modern setting. The seating in this restaurant is open and airy, giving almost a biergarten feel. Service was friendly and efficient, food was okay. The starter of cold cuts, cheese, and some vegetarian alternatives was quite nice. I had the meatloaf and sausage which was OK, but the duck, schnitzel, and vegetarian hamburger would definitely have been better choices.

Delicious food, I had a chicken burger and it was such a lovely place to eat, great staff and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

The only thing to rescue is the service, the waiter Ervin was super friendly, very attentive. The food is crazy expensive, kids menu of chicken with potatoes €18.5, lemonade €6.5. A water of 0.7 dl, €7.5. We spent €100 on a dinner for two adults and a 3-year-old child without alcohol. The food is correct but nothing out of the ordinary. I wouldn't go back.

The starter plate (bavarian) is nice, but be aware that it contains pork, but it's nice. My wife ate schnitzel, it was good but the potato salad on the side was mediocre.

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice. Good mixture of traditional Bavarian food and other dishes. Waitress were very busy and we waited 30+ minutes to get our order taken.

Despite the less appealing neighborhood near Munich Central Station, this restaurant offers a surprisingly elegant atmosphere, with delicious, beautifully presented food and friendly, attentive staff. A true hidden gem, perfect for a luxurious dining experience amidst the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended!

After a jam-packed “Wiesn” day, we simply went to Irmi. It was really tasty. The fried chicken was a poem. Juicy and crunchy at the same time. My buddy's Pfanderl would have been a good alternative. Maybe someone can explain to me what “Irmi” means.

Fantastic classic Bavarian dishes - I was spoiled for choice with the menu. I had the Giesinger brew goulash which was both tender and tasty and a weissbier to wash it down. The portion size was perfect too - not so much that I couldn't move. Would happily visit again to work my way through the whole menu.

Truly the highlight of my time in Munich. This place blew me away and is possibly the best food I've ever eaten. I'm not a culinary expert and the items I had did align with some of my favourite flavours, but even still. I also can't emphasize enough how unreasonably good the pulled pork burger is. Comparing it to other burgers is a disservice, something about it just combines and works on a level that really doesn't make sense. I suspect a part of it is that the burger format forces you to to get exactly the right mix of pork, sauce, and spiced apple in every bite. I'd love to see it get more attention with a different presentation, but I honestly don't know if it would work quite as well any other way. It's also a bit of a shame that the beyond excellent burger is paired with 'just' some perfectly cooked fries, but again probably a bit of an unavoidable sacrifice for the burger itself to work so well. The rest of the menu is also very good from what I saw and tried, whoever put the core menu together clearly understands nuanced flavour profiles. My gut feel is that there won't be any disappointments here, instead everything is great with some hidden gems. The atmosphere also always seems to be busy but never loud, conversation is always easy, with many tables in a concealed garden.

Unfortunately, despite the good reviews, I was disappointed. The food really wasn't good for the money. The extremely quick preparation time of 15 minutes could have told us that. The schnitzel for €33 was extremely dry and the fried potatoes were okay but really nothing outstanding. The goulash was good value for money but the meat was a bit tough. The apple spritzer also consisted of 90% water. The service was also ok and nice, but unfortunately we had to wait a long time until our plates were cleared and we got the bill. The best thing about the evening was the atmosphere in the courtyard. Overall I have to say it's unfortunately not worth the money.

We were staying near the train station and were looking for a place to have dinner that looked good. The place is very nice, it has a cozy internal space and an outdoor patio. The food was very good. We chose two typical dishes from the area, breaded chicken and pasta. They also have other options, all interesting. The attention was correct and friendly. Prices adjusted to quality and the city.

The food was nice and the waiter was really kind to us. We sat outside and we saw 2 mice going around us. That made the experience a bit disgusting and uncomfortable.

A bit meh restaurant, which is not enough for German standards. Started with a beef tak taki which is very expensive €26.50 and a sandwich with tatziki and two other toppings of which I didn't know what they were. But it wasn't really good either. Main course, a chicken burger and grilled chicken, were also not very good in terms of price-quality ratio. The chicken burger is fine, but you might as well go to McDonald's, considering the price is €20. The grilled chicken was served with crazy potatoes in cucumber sauce? We thought that was very strange....

We ate here last night based mostly on the restaurant having better reviews than most around. Our experience was so bad that I felt I needed to sleep on it before providing a response. My Fiancé has a pistachio allergy, which wouldn’t seem to be an issue being that nothing we ordered was listed as containing nuts. We both ordered the same dessert (a vanilla Creme brûlée equivalent) and fortunately I was the first to take a bite. When I realized there were pistachios I stopped her from eating just in time. We asked one of the servers if we had maybe misinterpreted the allergen menu, and she even confirmed that they were not listed. She said she would have another one made without pistachios. Here’s where things got much worse. We were presented another desert which we were assured did not have pistachios. It did. We should have scraped it apart and checked visually for her safety, but we assumed the verbal confirmation would be enough. Second bite in it was realized when the itching started. She had to immediately run back to the hotel room to grab medication and get things under control. I cannot describe how frustrating this was. Eating abroad with allergies is always risky and we understand that. However, I have never had an experience where it was explicitly stated that a dish would not contain an applicable allergen and it did. Extra star was for front of house crew (Ervin and co.) being great. They were operating on information given them, and similar to ourselves could not have known without tearing the dish apart.

Expensive and not the best German food. I would look up other genuine places.

Average food and drinks, waited around an hour for a burger and small cutlet with potato salad that was sub par. For reference there were several tables seated after my party of two and served well before us. Would not recommend

The restaurant is located right next to the train station. This is the restaurant of the Le Méridien hotel. It has large rooms. The menu is varied, with local recipes.  The cheese spatzles and goulash were very good as well as their burger. There is a generous children's menu with choices for the youngest. The food is good, the service was good, friendly, warm and fast.

The food was decent. The set menu isn't always good everyday and the A la carte has very limited choices. The interior was quite nice but some sofas of the booth had some insect that bit on skin that would cause irritance. They also had some issues with their fridges and stock on the day, so some drinks and foods weren't available. The waiter were very nice and apologized to us about the matter.

The server think he is making a joke,but not funny at all. The serve NOT polite to non german customers. The food comes with big portions. The burgers is so yummy. Restaurant inside the hotel.

Bavarian food for vegetarians! I came here in February and tried the vegetarian Mixed Bavarian Starter Plate and then had the vegetarian Irmis Pfanderl and I was really impressed. Finding Bavarian food that caters to vegetarians can be a bit tricky but I would definitely recommend this place if you want to try it. The service was fantastic as well.

Serving up Bavarian cooking in a modern and cosy setting. We had the Irmis Pfanderl, Potpurri (fish) and the Spargelfanne Jungschwein and all dishes were tasty and well cooked. We like it a lot and will most certainly be back!

💰 Here you can save with NeoTaste 💰 The three of us ate at IRMI and were unfortunately quite disappointed. First of all, you can't reach anyone by phone to make a reservation. We then arrived at the restaurant and there was error after error, especially in the service. At first we were greeted in English, but after it was clear that we were German, we were still given the English card. First we ordered a water with three glasses and three drinks. Instead of three glasses there were only two and instead of a non-alcoholic light beer there was a non-alcoholic wheat beer. The waiter here was so nice and brought me another light beer after I had drunk the wheat beer - that was very nice! Then we ordered. 2 starters and a main course. After about 45 minutes of waiting for the starter, we asked when it would arrive and after a few minutes it was there. The waitress put the food in front of us and asked if we would be ready for the main course in 10 minutes, as the kitchen was almost ready. We agreed and started eating them. After about 5 minutes and when about half of the starters were still there, the waitress came and asked if she could bring the main courses... The starters tasted very good. The snack board was generous and the salad was delicious. Unfortunately the main courses were nothing. Two burgers for over €20 and a salmon trout that was overcooked. The next problems were when paying. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't read us our bill again and so we ended up with one too many water on the bill. We brought this up and were told that we couldn't book back until the end of the month, but they would invite us for a fruit schnapps. Of course, inviting is relative here... All in all, not a successful visit and we probably won't be back.

Recommendation! Good address and significantly better than almost everything nearby! Through NeoTaste we found this really good restaurant with good service and ambience. Because of the good reviews, I tried the fried chicken, although with such things you are often disappointed with dry, hand-made, incorrectly prepared food, a waste of money. But not here. It was so good that Irmi is now on our list to visit in Munich and I'm looking forward to testing the whole menu soon. By the way, the homemade lemonade is also good (it has to be for 6.50). Finally, carnivores seem to get their money's worth here and with nice service. Thanks to Julian here!

A friendly brasserie/lounge with a friendly welcome: quality traditional dishes, attentive service, view of the pleasant interior garden. You will have a good time there.

In three dishes out of four, ingredients were missing or it was a completely different dish. When I gave it back, the cold meat was “well done” and tough, served again with the side dishes after more than 10 minutes, instead of “medium rare”. The service was very accommodating and accommodating. Nevertheless, we will never visit Irmi again. A pity!

Yesterday I was in Munich on business with colleagues and had made a reservation online at Irmi for 6 p.m. and 5 people. Everything went really well and the atmosphere was really, really nice. At first I thought, oh dear, what is this, but then inside it's just beautiful. Very clean tidy and welcoming. We found the inner courtyard (beer garden) particularly beautiful, which we were able to enjoy yesterday in the most beautiful sunshine in Munich. The restaurant is a 3-minute walk from the main train station and therefore ideal for eating before a train journey. The only thing that was very difficult was the parking situation in Munich main station, lots of construction sites and changed driving directions and the prices in the nearby parking garages of 12 to 15 euros an hour were a real disgrace. We recommend the Marsstr car park. At 3.50 euros per hour, it's reasonable and it's about an 8-minute walk from the restaurant. The food was very good and of excellent quality. We had crusted roast with dumplings, Braumeister goulash with dumplings, citizens with sweet potato fries and scallops on lukewarm potato salad! The portions were pleasantly large and tasted excellent, the dumplings were handmade and very tasty, the potato salad was homemade and the 3 scallops were fried very well, and the mega burger with homemade rolls was also a real treat. We were definitely not here for the last time. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Just as you would like, attentive but not intrusive. Thank you for the great hospitality. We will be back!

The “Irmi” was a highlight of our weekend trip to Munich. Very inconspicuous from the outside - super nice inner courtyard!🌸🌷 Very good service and really tasty food. The chicken burger with sweet potato fries is highly recommended! Would love to come back.

The German sampler platter was fantastic! We sat in the courtyard and it was very nice. Thanks to Julian for letting us try the apricot schnapps. We look forward to returning.

Swung by Irmi in Munich's heart. Bavarian food done right. The fish is a standout - totally great. Meat goulash could be better. Don’t miss the pumpkin soup too.

This restaurant is located at Le Meridien Munchen. It is a breakfast venue for guests. We had breakfast here, and I think it had a pretty good variety. The room is long and narrow, so I had to walk about 50 meters round trip to pour my own juice or coffee.

IRMI Hospitality - 4/5 Selection - 4/5 Quality of Food - 4/5 Overall - 4/5 Decided to rely on the Google reviews to find a spot for a unplanned dinner location. We got lucky and found IRMI across from our hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the manager as it seemed they were running short on staff. No worries though, he took care of us. Knowing we had no reservation, we figured we would have to wait. Not the case. Luckily they had a table they were using as a family style seating. He asked if that was okay and we were all over it. Better yet it was right next to the bartender and his greatness! The manager dropped us off and asked if we would like something to drink. Being so close to the bartender, we asked him and he said “ I got you!”. From there the bartender helped us select our drinks for the rest of the night. Showing us the tastes of Germany. It was awesome. Note we never got his name, but he was like the jolly green giant. Couldn’t miss the guy. As for dinner, Ervin had us covered and did an exceptional job the whole evening. Even as busy as he was, he managed to take care of us during our dinner. It was noted that everyone was the same way. They really worked as a team. You could see it. Dinner was simple, Ervin suggested the Irmis Pfanderl and it was everything he said. To the point that the guy sitting next to me said while ordering, “I’ll have what he had!” He even said he loved it too. The wife enjoyed here Bavarian chicken burger, but even more so enjoyed here fries. Something about them she said. Overall, the experience was delightful and we would suggest to anyone. If I could suggest anything, that is to the management team. Looked like your staff was doing everything they could to keep up and doing so with a smile. However, the patrons were noticing the lack of staff and things were turning as we left. Maybe an extra hand or two would of done some good that night.

An excellent restaurant, however it was difficult to spot from the street outside. There is no clear (enough) signage and took me a couple of minutes to find out. I suspect you can entrance from the marriot Hotel as it appears to be linked. Service is brilliant and very attentive. Food is great, on par with another two restaurants we have had in the past two days.

We had the 3-course menu with beer accompaniment. The food was very good and the beer too. The timing of the food and the service were ok. The spots from the ceiling aren't very comfortable, but the ambience isn't bad

This modern Bavarian restaurant in the heart of the city of Munich is a „ must visit“ in town . we got a truly kind welcome by the waiter Ervin and our waitress Ana was really amazing in wine recommendations and food as well . I can give 5* stars without a shame

I think this location is overrated (in self-portrayal and reviews). The table was easily reserved online. The sign "Wait to be seated" is to be taken seriously, the staff doesn't seem to have an eye for arriving guests. We waited. It took a few minutes until we were shown to the table. But: After that the staff lost sight of us again: no menu, no question if we would like something to drink. At some point I made my presence known (raise hand) and later the menus were brought. Positive: The beer tastes good, Munich. The food (goulash) was slightly overcooked with little liquid and a bit too dry, my wife's salad (baby spinach salad) was served without bread, which should be included in this price. The ambience is really nice, but the noise level increases when groups are chatting animatedly. Conclusion: Below average price/performance ratio.

Extremely incredibly salty food, there were 3 of us and each of us could only eat a few bites of each dish. The soup tasted like salt water, it actually hurt the throat.

The Irmi restaurant in Munich not only offers first-class food, but also service that goes far beyond the normal level. The Bavarian dishes are delicious and authentic, and the staff are happy to accommodate individual requests. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. What is particularly impressive is that even after the kitchen has closed, the kitchen is not closed until the last culinary delight has reached the guest. This dedication to customer service makes Restaurant Irmi an outstanding dining experience.

We've spend a night in Munich and wanted to have something to eat in the evening. Somebody recommended to us to eat at Irmi and I'm happy we did it. Each of my family was ordering a different dish from the menu and we enjoyed taste of each single one. We travel a lot around Europe but also to America and Asia and sometimes we feel our expectation is settled high, as we've had an opportunity to taste a very good kitchen and we also like cooking ourself. Irmi is one of the places where we recommend you to go, doesn't matter whether you are meat or vegetarian lover. Good kitchen and friendly atmoshere makes the place to be worth visiting.

The Irmi is located near the main train station in Munich. The service is classic Bavarian, but modern. We received a very friendly welcome and were served attentively throughout the evening. The food was very tasty. Since we were there as a large group, we gradually had a lot of different dishes throughout the evening, which were simply placed in the middle of the tables and everyone took what they liked. I thought that was very good. The absolute highlight for me was the Kaiserschmarrn. It was the best I've ever had. Definitely try it!

Wir haben dort die Wartezeit zum nächsten Zug genutzt und Krustenbraten und Käsespätzle gegessen. Die Käsespätzle waren mehr als ausreichend. Der Krustenbraten war lecker, kam aber sehr trocken daher. Auf Nachfrage wurde eine kleine Portion Soße gebracht. Preise waren noch angemessen. Das Essen kam nach kurzer Wartezeit. Für einen Zwischenstopp gut geeignet, da fußläufig nur 5 Minuten zum Bahnhof.

I came in about 1-2 hours before closing and they were doing final call for the kitchen, glad they were able to take my order. I got the beef goulash with potato dumplings with a side salad. Very delicious, not too salty and the potato dumplings were so fluffy. Beef is very tender. On the slightly pricier side for Munich but I feel like it was very high quality, modern take on German food!

The food was okay. Maybe even good, but compared to other restaurants in München definitely not at the top. The prices are insanely compared to many other restaurants. The atmosphere was not cozy. With that; the waiter always tried to manipulatively make you choose the most expensive things; especially the wines at almost any table around us. Definitely not clear what the fuzz is about. Again; many other restaurants which are better, less expensive and in much nicer places.

This spot is great for some traditional Bavarian food with a modern spin. Good vibes, good food and fantastic service from our waiter Ervin.

No booking, but were promptly seated. Not obvious from the front, but rather large inside. One Pfanderl and one Bavarian Chicken Burger later and we were both stuffed. Lovely food and the chips were some of the best we’ve had. Slightly expensive for what we had, but would recommend nonetheless.

Schönes, großes Restaurant hinter einem unauffälligen Eingang direkt am Hauptbahnhof. Moderne bayerische/österreichische Küche. Schneller, freundlicher Service. Wir hatten Wiener Schnitzel und Brathendl, beides war vom Preis top, von der Qualität okay, mehr nicht. Dazu gab es eine gute Ingwer-Limonade und Sauvignon Blanc plus prima Espresso zum Abschluss. Pro Person 50 Euro. Passt.
