An excellent quality restaurant that I would like to visit again. A charming maître who accompanied us through the rooms and throughout the evening. His art of guiding us through the menu and the matching wines was also excellent. It's no exaggeration to say that this isn't all that common in Berlin. The food was very good. We (5 people) mainly had the truffle menu, which was of a very good standard and the other dishes were also good. The entrecôte that was served to one of us was excellent. The entire team was very well coordinated and very friendly. The only thing to complain about was the music selection and the volume. It was still a nice evening and we are already looking forward to meeting there again.

Die Einrichtung des Restaurants ist leicht französisch gehalten. Der Raum ist groß und die Tische stehen ausreichend voneinander entfernt. Das Weinberatung war sehr fundiert und das Essen entsprach den Erwartungen in Punkto Qualität welche man ein einem Sternerestaurant hat. Insgesamt ein gelungener und schöner Abend.

Throughout the evening, our glasses were not regularly refilled, to the point that I was about to ask if they could simply leave the bottle at our table so we could manage it ourselves. Initially, we assumed that the two staff members were simply overwhelmed with the volume of guests, and we even felt bad for them. However, as the evening went on, we began to notice that other tables were receiving ample attention while ours was consistently overlooked. The server had time to chat with other guests but seemed to neglect our table. We couldn’t help but wonder whether this had anything to do with us speaking only English, or perhaps because we were a same-sex couple. Either way, the service was poor, and it’s for this reason alone that we’ll likely not return. It’s a shame, as the restaurant has much potential, but the service aspect clearly needs serious attention. I appreciate the young team's new culinary concept of moving away from luxury cuisine and instead concentrating on well-made, changing classics at more than acceptable prices and in an uncomplicated atmosphere. On a Monday evening I had three delicious versions of mussels with fries, a delicious mayonese, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, mousse au chocolate, an expresso and a 0.75 liter of water for 39 euros. People like to go to Irma La Douce.

In dem wunderschönen Restaurant wurden die Erwartungen an ein Sternerestaurant nicht erfüllt. Beim Service hätte man sich mehr Gastfreundlichkeit gewünscht. Das vegetarische Angebot war sehr übersichtlich, der Blattsalat mit Burrito war lieblos und langweilig zubereitet, die Salatblätter z. T. lappig, die Tomatensauce hatte die Qualität einer Fertigsauce. Die nach Rückgabe als Alternative gereichten dünn geraspelten Zucchinischeiben waren lecker, hätte man aber auch selbst schnell zubereiten können. Das Waldpilz-Risotto hatte eine gewisse Raffinesse, die man sich auch von den anderen Gängen gewünscht hätte. Eine leckere aber ansonsten vollkommen gewönliche Creme brulee erhält man in einem Restaurant ohne Stern in derselben Qualität zu einem normalen Preis. Dass nicht einmal ein Amuse gueule gereicht wurde, rundet den Eindruck, dass der Gast hier nicht im Mittelpunkt steht, ab. Wir werden dieses Restaurant nicht noch einmal besuchen.

This is a lovely place with a one star Michelin rating. Our server, Pablo, took good care of us. The food was a mixed bag but on balance was positive. I had the small carbonara as an appetizer, but it wasn’t hot. I had the entrecôte, but it was rather tough even though a link medium rare. She had the oysters (excellent) and risotto (good but nothing special). The sour dough bread was first rate. The wine list was expensive, but I found a good Haut Medic for 58E. We would probably go back.

The two of us were there for dinner yesterday. I can only give it 3 stars overall. First the positive... The restaurant is stylishly furnished, very nice ambience. The food was actually mixed. First of all, the two main courses. These were really excellent, of the best quality and really highly recommended. The main courses would definitely be a reason to go there again. We had the entrecote and beouf bourguignon. Both dishes were simply perfect. For dessert there was creme brulee, which was also very good and recommended. Unfortunately I had to deduct points for the starters. The beef tartare with the half-raw egg was rather plain and average, nothing special, and just too expensive for what was served. The same applies to the salad. It was nicely dressed, but certainly not exceptional and even for a leaf salad it was too expensive. Both starters lacked the pizzazz and finesse that would justify the price. This worked for the main courses, although they were a bit more expensive, so as a guest you're happy to pay more for top quality and superbly seasoned and prepared dishes. Finally, about the service, which was very discreet but very attentive during the meal. Professional, friendly and always there when you needed someone. That was great. What really left a very bitter aftertaste was the manner of the reception. We got there a few minutes ahead of time, which normally shouldn't be too much of a problem. However, the restaurant manager took us out very decisively. So we had to wait outside for 4 minutes. I don't even want to know if he does that when it's below zero outside. We, as well as another couple, found this to be very rude. We were very surprised and did not feel welcome there in any way. There was a lack of warmth and hospitality. The overall picture is therefore not consistent and definitely falls short of expectations. Despite the very good main courses and dessert, we probably won't go here again due to the lack of hospitality. But that's just our opinion, maybe. the good man had just had a bad day.

Spacious Brasserie. Nicely designed. Simple Menu but very well executed. Plus factor: Al la carte with wine pairings for each dish. Service was in a bit of disarray at the beginning. Bread was served well before we received the drinks ordered. Paired wines were initially forgotten with the starter. It picked up after that.

Probably the best lunch deal in town. Top quality and great price. We were there at lunchtime for a special occasion. The service was incredibly friendly and the food was simply great. Since we were a few people, we had pretty much everything that was on the lunch menu (main courses between 11 and 16 euros, I mean) on the table and everyone was more than satisfied - really delicious. (Tip: the dessert is definitely worth it! I had the mousse au chocolate, delicious.) In my opinion, it's really uniquely good value for money. We'll definitely come back more often now and certainly in the evenings for the "full menu"!

Wir waren wieder einmal im Irma La Douce. Das Ambiente - nach wie vor sehr gediegen. Unsere Kellnerin war auf Zack, aber Lächeln war nicht so ihr Ding. Beim Blick in die Weinkarte ging mir dann die Kinnlade runter. Die Weinpreise sind seit unserem letzten Besuch regelrecht explodiert. Beim günstigsten Rosé bist du mit 62 EUR die Flasche dabei. Die Speisen sind auch selbstbewusst ausgepreist. Ein Krabben- Cocktail (mit 3 Gambas) für 25 EUR. Die Portion des Entrecote's hätte gern auch etwas grösser sein können. Alles in allem - für Geschäftsessen: hochpreisig, aber so what. Für ein privates Dinner: schlicht zu teuer.

I honestly don’t know how the restaurant has a Michelin star. The food was fine but not worth the price. They use very simple products without giving that twist you are expecting from a Michelin restaurant. The recommended us a wine which gave us a terrible headache. We both felt sick the whole night afterwards. I, unfortunately, can’t recommend it.

This restaurant has a charming brasserie feel with attentive service, which immediately sets a welcoming tone. However, the menu was somewhat limited. I ordered the steak tartare, which featured great cubes of steak, and while there wasn’t a side of frites, the delicious bread made for a perfect pairing. My vegetarian friend found the menu lacking, with only two options available, one of which surprisingly didn’t include any vegetables. On a positive note, the dirty martini was hands down one of the best I’ve had. The restaurant is unpretentious for a one Michelin star establishment, but we felt that the food experience didn’t quite live up to the expectations that come with that rating.

Today we were able to eat at Irma la douce and found the quality of the food to be very high quality, light and, despite everything, tasty. I personally didn't find the chairs comfortable, but that's why I deducted a small star. Tatar - very tasty, chewy, soft, components well balanced. Oysters - one of the best in Berlin (but could be a bit colder for me personally) Spaghetti - creamy pasta cooked to the exact second Instead of porcini mushrooms there were chanterelles, which were unbeatable in terms of quality We also had the Boeuf Bourguignon, which is cooked until tough for a long time, personally not necessarily my taste but all around, delicious food Bouillabaisse Sud which is a signature main course was amazing! All in all, we will definitely come back and the price-performance ratio here matches other “top shops”. Thanks to the whole team for the presentation and love of food.

I was attracted to this place by a review that said the place was good but lacked creativity and flair. I dared to hope that this was a bat signal for me, a restaurant that its its energy into getting the basics right. I often order the same dishes at this sort of place, tartare, entrecote, boulliabaisse. I was not dissappointed. Extremely simple presentation, perfect portion size (which I would describe as medium). Rich food with intense natural flavours. Staff were genuilely friendly but not intrusively chatty. That's a hard balance to get right. We left this restaurant in a very good mood, which even lasted to the next day. Best boulliabaisse in Berlin, possibly best tartare too. Some notes: the atmosphere is generally pleasant, but they need to pick a direction and stick to it. Quirky? Classic? Rock and roll? The lighting in the wine shelves at the back is too cold and makes it look like a supermarket, this should be turned off. Also, shortening the name to IRMA would I think be much more memorable.

This is the place to go if you want perfectly executed French cuisine with a touch of novelty while sticking to tradition! We chose the tasting menu: every course was sublime, but the “Bouillabaisse” was stunning: what an explosion of taste! This filtered “bouillon” had a very intense flavor and came with various perfectly cooked fish. We could taste the chef’s identity behind each dish and enjoyed eating at this table. We would return even if it’s “just” for the “Bouillabaisse”.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Irma La Douce. The ambiance is very elegant and tasteful. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. I particularly liked the concept of composing your own menu. The portions were substantial, so I'd suggest that unless you are very, very hungry, you should just take a starter and a main dish. I was very full after four courses :)

Sehr schönen Abend in einem sehr "entspannten" Ambiente. Im Vergleich zu andere doch etwas "spießigere" Sterne Restaurant, fand ich den Abend im Irma la douce durch das entspannte Ambiente sehr angenehm. Die Bouillabaisse ist ein muss... super intensiven Sud... perfekt gegarte Fischstücke... einfach WOW!

The overall rating of three stars despite the remaining good rating is simply due to the lack of value for money. I don't understand the new concept. I used to get a delicious meal for reasonable money in portions that didn't leave me hungry. It's a shame... I learned this just from the example of my beloved Boullabaisse

One of the most elegant and well put together experiences in Berlin today. The service was exquisite: attentive, warm, not at all fussy, and the food was spectacular, particularly the fish tartlet and the concentrated bouillabaisse. While the wine list is rather pricy, there are opportunities for good price/value ratio. A wonderful treat and highly recommended!

I was there with my family for my birthday. I found the food wonderful - the arts of French cuisine are carried out here with variety and delicate care - it is very creatively implemented and not boring. For me the highlight was the boeuf bourguignon with the wine accompaniment

Ein zauberhaftes Ambiente und grandiose Speisen haben uns einen tollen Abend im „Irma la Douce“ beschert. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, jemals vorher ein so köstliches, perfekt zubereitetes Entrecôte, das förmlich auf der Zunge zerging, gegessen zu haben. Auch das Rindertatar als Vorspeise, das von hervorragender Qualität und Würze war, sowie die Bouillabaisse konnten überzeugen. Der Abend war für uns ein kulinarischer Genuss, und das stilvolle Ambiente des Restaurants harmonierte damit wunderbar. Als sehr angenehm empfanden wir, à la carte essen zu können und uns nicht auf ein Menü fokussieren zu müssen. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Very friendly service, the music creates a cozy atmosphere. The food was excellent: meat on point, unusual combinations. Recommended: Stöhr intermediate course, Bouillabaisse main course, pistachio dessert. The burrata starter was not a revelation, but still good. Great wine recommendations.

Big disappointment for a star restaurant. Very uninspired, unimaginative cuisine. You have the feeling that the chef has run out of desire or ideas. Here everyone lacks passion and heart and, above all, the will to pay attention to details. The service was really disappointing. A hastily mumbled something or other was supposed to explain the dishes. Even when asked, it was quickly mumbled out again. When asked about a non-alcoholic accompaniment, reference was made to the main course. For the main course, only my companion was asked for drinks and I was ignored. These are completely new sales-reducing experiences in service 😉 There was no fish cutlery for the unspeakable bone fish, which tasted very good! Wow. The crème brûlée was accompanied by the “matching” soup spoon that you could really “enjoy” with. I recommend that guests here bring their own dessert spoons and fish cutlery. We weren't given any more water either. Some other tables do. The ambience is quite appealing, but I feel like I've seen the unimaginative standard lights on the tables in every other fine dining restaurant. At star level I expect more creativity. Conclusion: The restaurant management is a disaster. The service poorly trained. The food uninspired.

Not sure how this restaurant came to its Michelin star rating. The service was not rude per se but mumbled/spoke so quickly it was as impossible to understand what was being said. My partner asked for a non-alcoholic pairing suggesting to dinner and was told that this would again be offered later on during the meal (it was not). The meal was otherwise superbly uninspired and partially inedible. The fish was served with the bones, but without a fish knife. We were picking out fish bones the entire time during this course. Perhaps something I would expect in a small homey restaurant when you order a fresh whole fish, but this could have really been a filet. I understand that cooking fish with bones is sometimes preferential but couldn’t the kitchen have removed them shortly before serving? I can’t remember what it tasted like because I was too busy spitting fish bones out throughout the meal. The boeuf bourguignon was tasty but the potatoes which accompanied it slightly undercooked (simple boiled potatoes). I would have also expected some level of innovation on this end. Bread served prior to dinner was from Domberger (and fine), but again served with uninspiring simple butter. Overall we had higher hopes for a starred restaurant (and are no strangers to fine dining).

Found by chance after a visit to the P61 gallery. Super delicious food with a great wine pairing with French white and red wines. Oysters gratinated, guinea fowl as an intermediate course and as a main course Boeuf Bourguignon and Bouillabaisse, each with great fresh products in a tasty broth. A very competent and very attentive service with detailed knowledge of every course and every wine. A very nice, positive and relaxed, mega-tasty evening. Our new favorite French cuisine. We will definitely see each other again.

Great atmosphere. Large room with good acoustics. Great wine selection and recommendation. Service attentive, but felt understaffed. Had to pour ourselves more wine. The food was good, but in our opinion nothing special (e.g. there were 3 boiled potatoes with the boeuf bourgignon). Starter too salty.

After reading some negative reviews due to the change in ownership, we were initially unsettled. However, completely baseless. Absolutely friendly service, lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Also worth highlighting is the very good price-performance ratio of the surprise menu as well as the sufficiently large portions! The portions were just as big as the normal main courses a la carte. We like to eat very well and we all agreed that we hadn't eaten so well in a long time. The only small suggestion for improvement: my main course (Chickenwomanizer) arrived a little lukewarm. If necessary, preheat the plate more. But otherwise excellent. The quality of the food, the location and especially the service are great.

The food was very impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire set menu. I also really appreciated the ambience and design of the space—it was lively without feeling overcrowded, and the blend of chatter and music created a pleasant background for our dinner. However, I’d like to provide some feedback on the service, which felt quite uneven. Despite noting my date’s shellfish allergy, the staff repeatedly offered us oysters and later poured oyster sauce over a dish that could have otherwise been enjoyed without worrying about the allergen. Additionally, a glass of wine that wasn’t finished was taken away too soon, and the pacing between dishes was sometimes too long, which disrupted the overall flow of the experience. That said, we absolutely loved the food and still recommend visiting the restaurant. We hope the service improves so Hallmann und Klee can shine even brighter.

Stuffy Asian-fusion boredom that is neither fish nor meat. Culinary wise, it is overshadowed by Good Friends and every Ishin restaurant in Berlin. Showy wine list with bottle prices of up to 16 thousand (!) EURO. Who wants that today?

Inventive cuisine, with some very interesting flavors and textures. We went for the 6 courses menu and wine pairing, which was a +4 hours adventure. Tables and the dining room itself are quite small.

Sounds promising, but it doesn't hold up. The oysters and mussels were wonderful, but the rest was unfortunately disappointing. The ceviche was boring. Very small plates, but high prices. It seems uninspired and random, with no real common thread. The service was too arrogant for me. There was no recommendation or advice about the wine and the plates were carelessly placed in a very strange sequence. If the tipping expectations are not met, you as a guest will be treated condescendingly. That hasn't happened to me in a long time. I expected a lot and unfortunately I'm not sad that I can't do it again here.
