Leider gabs in diesem 1 Sterne Restaurant keinerlei Grüße aus der Küche. Die einzelnen Gänge waren ok, aber nicht auf „Sterne Level“ Das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis war nicht gut. Für ein harmonisches Dinner auf höherem Niveau kann ich das Restaurant leider nicht empfehlen.

Sehr angenehme und legere Atmosphäre, wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Hier ist der Kellner nicht vornehmer als der Gast. Das Ambiente ist einmalig schön und gibt der Location ein ganz besonderes Flair. Die Lunch-Preise sind äußerst fair kalkuliert und großzügig proportioniert. Das Essen und die Getränke sind sehr gut ausgewählt und lassen das kulinarische Herz höher schlagen. Hier geht man sehr gerne hin! Ein großes Lob an die Geschäftsleitung und das gesamte Team.

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen, wir hatten 1x 3 Gänge a la card und 1x 4 Gänge im Menü. Sehr netter Service, auch bei Sternerestaurant-Neulingen wie uns, alle total freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gerne wieder, das Ceviche und die Bouillabaisse waren so unglaublich lecker. Die Gegend passt nicht so zum Restaurant, hatte Anfangs etwas Sorge, aber mit dem Restaurant war ich voll zufrieden. Ambiente/Ausstattung nichts besonderes, aber man kommt ja auch wegen dem Essen.

A fantastic restaurant! We booked a company party at Irma la Douce on relatively short notice. Not only did the ambiance live up to its promise, but the service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and efficient. We had a set menu that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We were more than impressed not only by the beautiful presentation of the dishes but also by the consistently high quality. We highly recommend this restaurant and would like to extend our sincere thanks once again to all the staff, from the planning stages to the execution of our event.

Unfortunately, we couldn't agree with the Michelin Guide's assessment. The food didn't meet the standards of a Michelin-starred restaurant. In particular, the main courses were unsatisfactory: the duck breast was too cold and the skin wasn't crispy enough. The red cabbage is significantly better in most cafeterias, the dumpling was disappointing, and the sauce lacked finesse. I'm usually not critical of small portions, but the bouillabaisse was definitely too small. You don't get full from three tiny pieces of fish, some mashed potato, and five mussels. However, the flavor of the stock was the culinary highlight of the evening. I'll say no more about the rest.

Als Gast fühlte ich mich sehr anonym behandelt, leider gar nicht persönlich empfangen. Die Weinberatung war mau, der Kellner/ Sommelier (?) nicht zu verstehen. One star is plenty, don't be fooled by the lunch price and the star rating. This place really deserves a star! Why?! I'd like to meet the inspector who awarded it. The waitress had long, loose hair, heaven forbid it wasn't tied back, so be careful with your plates. The wait for simple lunch dishes took forever. The waitress mixed up our orders with someone else's, then completely forgot about the appetizers, and the main courses sat on the hotplate for half an hour because of that mistake. What a disaster! The best part of the whole lunch was the beer. 🫣😭😡 I definitely don't recommend it for lunch!

The room is very impressive due to its height, but for my taste, the tables are too close together, about 40 cm apart. In this price range, I'd prefer a bit more privacy and not have the neighbor's butt on mine 😉. We were guided through the evening very friendly and with excellent wine recommendations. Only one server didn't quite fit the ambiance; for example, the tray with the accompanying ingredients was loudly placed next to me on the bench for several courses, making me jump every time. The food was very good, but not all of the courses were successful in our opinion. The oysters were very good, but the champagne was unevenly distributed (less than 0.1!), which shouldn't be the case in this segment. The tartar was fantastic! The two-course venison dish, the first course was rather uninspired and boring, while the second was a true explosion of flavor. The cheese from "Käse Ecke Waltmann" was excellent.

Food on the simple side for Michelin dinner dining, but this might be different if one opts out of the classics set menu and goes à la carte. Enjoyed the wine pairing especially. The service was mostly attentive but not overbearing. Decor and ambience were equally not over the top serious or tawdry, playful like the namesake film but in nuanced ways only.

We were pleasantly surprised by the food; it was much, much better than we expected. The beef tartare was fabulous – pure indulgence, the carbonara was a dream, the entrecôte was superb, and the best crème brûlée ever to finish – simply WOW! Highly recommended. The music selection was also excellent (just a tiny bit too loud – but we were sitting right under a speaker) and the service was top-notch; you could tell they enjoyed their job – please keep it up!

Optisch entsprachen die Gerichte keiner Sterneküche. Das Auge isst schließlich mit. Das eine Gericht (Blanquette vom Kalb) hätte auch aus einem Landgasthof stammen können. Das Risotto als Hauptgericht bestellt, hatte eher die Größe einer Vorspeise, so dass ein weiteres Gericht bestellt werden musste. Geschmacklich waren die Gerichte gut, aber mit Luft nach oben. My Husband and I celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary here and it was truly an incredible experience. For someone that has worked in Michelin Star Kitchens this is a prime example how you receive and maintain that acclaim. The food was seasonal and complexed. Our service was taken care o the highest degree with Aloel & Ben leading. They were attentive and patient especially with English speaking guest. Their steps of service were also to be praised. I think this restaurant may be a victim of its own reputation. Nothing about it struck me as Michelin quality, least of all the food. Don’t get me wrong, it was fine. We visited the restaurant in July for the Morgenpost menu. Given the price, this is obviously a challenge for the kitchen. Compared to other restaurants in this range, the result didn't completely convince us. The standout dish was the eggplant with cheese and spreadable sausage. It sounds boring, but it tasted fantastic. The rest of the course didn't quite measure up to this one. The service and drinks were absolutely commendable. The large room is beautifully decorated, and especially for a bistro-style restaurant, the spacing ensures privacy.

We visited this restaurant for the first time for the Morgenpost "July 2025" menu and were absolutely thrilled with both the menu itself and the excellent service and ambiance. Even the service at the entrance, when our wheelchair user was promptly lifted up the two steps in his wheelchair by two staff members, was fantastic! The same procedure was followed when leaving the restaurant, of course – thank you for that! Also worth mentioning is the table water, which is sparkling here, and the savings are passed directly on to the guests. Everyone was also given a glass of Crémant to start the meal, and pastries to accompany the included coffee at the end. And the bread and butter before dinner were simply divine. An all-round successful evening that invites us to return.👍

I was there for lunch. Stylish interior and pleasant ambiance. I chose red snapper with roasted potatoes and sorbet for dessert. The red snapper fillet was still raw inside. The roasted potatoes weren't crispy. For dessert, I had a carelessly served scoop of sorbet. The service was friendly, but a bit overwhelmed. Overall, disappointing for a Michelin-starred restaurant!

No better restaurant in Berlin for the money. The most relaxed and comfortable of the Michelin-stars, and probably the most reasonably priced. Strsightforward lunch menu delivers twice the goodness at half the price of other high end restaurants. Dinner is more elaborate but also straightforward, excellent and a joy. The restaurant is a touch understaffed, though it hardly detracts from the experience. Highly recommended.

Lunch is a local restaurant, not a restaurant. Very humble. So modest, in fact, that guests were allowed to bring two separate babies in strollers and another patron brought his dachshund. At least there was very little crying and no barking. At lunch, waiters are in T-shirts and jeans, and service is paper napkins, not cloth or linen. Just as good. I noticed a folded cloth napkin fall from its pile on the bar to the floor. The waiter picked it up from the floor and placed it back on the pile of clean napkins. Maybe the floor here is super clean. At least when the guest next to me dropped his paper napkin, the same server brought the guest a brand new one. Overall, I didn't find the service very attentive - but there were only 2 servers with no help trying to fit 40 two-course, 60-minute lunches for a main dining room with about 25 tables. The food for lunch wasn't bad, but nothing memorable. I have no reason to rush back. / Lunch is local eatery, not restaurant. Very unassuming. Das Morchel-Risotto mit vin jaune war ein Gedicht und der Steinbutt mit beurre blanc ebenso. Der elegante und zurückhaltende Chablis passte perfekt dazu, eine gute Empfehlung des Herrn aus dem Service! Das fruchtige Sorbet zum Nachtisch rundete alles wunderbar ab. Vielen Dank!

All in all very disappointing, the starters in particular were characterized by their tastelessness. Main courses tasted okay, but the fish I ordered was the smallest portion of fish I had ever been served in a restaurant. The four very short, thin asparagus spears didn't make the cabbage fat either. The cheese platter at the end was downright cute, 6 tiny pieces of cheese that couldn't be recognized as such with the naked eye. The service was very good and therefore the best in this restaurant. In summary, very disappointing, there are much better French people in Berlin.

Ein unvergesslicher Abend im Irma La Douce Unser Besuch im Irma La Douce war ein echter Genuss – von Anfang bis Ende. Das Team ging äußerst professionell auf alle unsere Wünsche ein und sorgte für einen rundum gelungenen Abend. Das Essen war einfach hervorragend: kreativ, durchdacht, mit erstklassigen Zutaten und einer Präsentation auf höchstem Niveau. Dazu passte die exzellente Weinauswahl, die nicht nur qualitativ überzeugte, sondern auch preislich fair abgestimmt war. Besonders erwähnenswert ist der Service: aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und dabei stets unaufdringlich. Man spürt, dass hier echtes Gastgeber-Herz steckt. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch – Das Team von Irma La Douce hat uns wieder einmal absolut überzeugt.

We tried the lunch menu. It was extremely disappointing! I understand that they want to offer a cheap lunch. But I can't understand why the quality of the food is extremely bad and no longer pay attention to the standard. Risotto cooked hard, still too runny, salt missing. Steak, fish tastes like nothing, hardly seasoned. Overall, the entire meal unfortunately had no taste. We expected something more…

Mit Freunden wieder einmal bei Irma - und wieder ein wunderschöner Abend. Aufmerksamer, aber nie aufdringlicher Service, hervorragende Weinempfehlung (danke dafür!) und insgesamt sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Beim Essen ein Stern weniger, da unser Favorit, das Bœuf Bourguignon, diesmal einen Tick weniger zart und etwas faseriger war als gewohnt. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Fascinating deco place. Excellent food. We took the catfish as a starter and the buiabes as the main course. On the service I observed that with the glass of prosecco as an aperitif that we paid for, we were not even served a canapé, we were not provided with fish cutlery or a matching glass of wine.

Ein schönes Restaurant mit eigenem Charme. Leckeres Essen und eine gute Weinauswahl, obwohl der Wein überteuert ist. Generell sind die Preise im Restaurant überdurchschnittlich und für den alltäglichen Besuch ist so ein Restaurant natürlich nicht geeignet. Zwei warme Gerichte, Wasser und eine Flasche Wein kosten für zwei Personen etwa 180 €, wobei der Wein als der billigste ausgewählt wurde. Was den Service im Restaurant betrifft, gibt es 7 von 10 Punkten. Aber die Köche verdienen 10 von 10 Punkten.

Been wanting to try their special Mittagsmenu and it was very good value. On a beautiful day they’ve got outside seating and it’s a quaint lunch spot. The mittagsmenu is very simplistic featuring limited number of items. Standout item is the duck and that was really well done rich in a sauce but creamy. Proper duck Coq au vin. I would not recommend the fish and chips being it just wasn’t that special nor tasty. All in all great lunch spot and great Mittagsmenu deal. Without ordering drinks and just 2 mains you can easily spend under 40 euros.

This night, I was destined to fall into the arms of "Girl Emma". Before leaving Berlin, I originally planned to revisit "EINS44", a very unique German restaurant, but considering that the subway was on strike and it was not easy to get there, I instead booked a Michelin-starred restaurant "Irma la Douce" (taken from the title of Billy Wilder's film "Emma") which is closer to the film festival. I visited last year and left a good impression. Since it is within walking distance, I decided to go here instead. When I arrived, I discovered that I was the first guest. Sascha, the restaurant manager and sommelier, was very chatty and knew how to find topics. It seemed that we had known each other for many years. During the conversation, I discovered that this store and "EINS44" were owned by the same owner. He laughed and said that I was destined to be unable to escape their clutches that night. Showing photos of last year's meal, he said that one of the dishes had been replaced. Since I like to eat fish (he concluded this from last year's photos), he solemnly recommended Turbo (European halibut). As for the wine pairing, he quickly made suggestions, no objection, please go ahead. Just like that, I earned another unforgettable dinner. Three oysters and Carbonara (pasta with bacon and egg sauce) were the appetizer, European halibut was the main course, and the dessert was nuts with chocolate ice cream. The portion was just right and the aftertaste was endless. Before leaving, Sascha smiled and asked, "Is it better than "EINS44"? Ha, as expected, the fellow disciples will still compete with each other. We burst into laughter at the same time. We are all awesome. We must bring friends again another day.

Netter Laden. Personal ist bemüht aber wenig aufmerksam (z.B. Buttermesser fehlt, kein Wein zur Vorspeise, Rechnung kam erst nach der dritten Bitte). Sehr überschaubare Karte. Für die Kategorie 1 Stern günstig. Ich muss aber nicht nochmal wiederkommen, da gibt es zu viele bessere Alternativen.

En general muy agradable, sin embargo, no estoy seguro de si este restaurante merecía una estrella 1 de Michelin. La calidad de los platos es sin duda alta y si usted está buscando un lugar que sirve clásicos franceses como el bourguignon de ternera, sopa bouillabaisse o crema crême brulee, esta es una buena dirección. Todos los platos vienen con vino maridaje por copa, que es un muy buen maridaje y fue perfecto. Definitivamente buen restaurante y conocen su oficio, sin embargo tal vez no tan creativo como otros restaurantes michelin - estrella. Precio - sabia que estaba bien para un restaurante de estrellas Michelin (pagamos 250 , - euros por 3 platos de comida con maridaje de vinos) . La decoración es elegante y recuerda a un clásico bistró de lujo de París.

We were there for the Valentine's Day menu and were very impressed with the food and service. We will definitely come back and try out the menu. Friendly service that is very attentive and great ideas when it comes to food - definitely worth a visit for the price.

In November 24: Spacious Brasserie. Nicely designed. Simple Menu but very well executed. Plus factor: Al la carte with wine pairings for each dish. Service was in a bit of disarray at the beginning. Bread was served well before we received the drinks ordered. Paired wines were initially forgotten with the starter. It picked up after that. February 2025: service is still so-so. No cocktails, just basics. Smelled like fish when entering. Execution is still on point but all in all it’s overpriced for decent Bistro level cooking and tiny portions. Nineteen EUR per 0.1 Glass wine pairing... There's definitely better options around for good French Cuisine in Berlin.

Sounds promising, but doesn't deliver. The oysters and mussels were wonderful, but the rest was unfortunately disappointing. The ceviche was boring. Very small plates, but high prices. It seemed uninspired and random, with no real common thread. The service was too arrogant for me. There was no recommendation or advice about the wine, and the plates were carelessly placed in a very odd order. If the tipping expectations aren't met, you are treated condescendingly as a guest. That hasn't happened to me in a long time. I had high expectations and, unfortunately, I'm not sad that I can't do this again.

Brilliantly creative cuisine and someone who understands how to use "simple" ingredients well. Respect! Two years ago, we had the non-alcoholic accompaniment and have never been offered such great drinks since. The service was outstanding. Thank you very much. The various strategies in the menu have been interesting to follow over the years. Unfortunately, the harsh and perhaps annoyed, bitter tone of the owner/chef in response to the comments here irritates me. I wish you continued success!

An outstanding experience. The food was inventive and delicious, the alcoholic pairings (primarily cocktails with a couple of wine options) were thoughtful and perfect complements to the courses. And the service was excellent, everyone was friendly and genuine, always ready with a warm smile and a great laugh (and I'm so grateful that everyone spoke flawless English, it's not lost on me how spoilt I am that we're made to feel so welcome).
