Irish Pub in Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe

I spontaneously went to the pub with my brother... and was in the middle of the karaoke Party with a goth look and friendly, weird, funny people. That wasn't the last time! -)

We went on a Saturday afternoon. The shop was full. He had an amazing live program. The singer had a perfect voice and presence. His prices are reasonable. We had a few beers and ate Bangers & Mash, which was delicious. We had a great time.

It was a great evening in a great location, we will definitely go there again and stop off

Characteristic place, you eat and drink well. The possibility of eating outside is nice. The interior is well cared for.

Best of all, the food is good and the staff is very friendly. You are always welcomed in a friendly manner and we try to accommodate special requests. Conclusion: I can highly recommend the pub. Most people will like it very much.

Cozy pub with friendly service, decent drinks and a good menu. I didn't eat anything so no rating.

Unfortunately had a negative experience. We came with a larger group and it took a while before anyone even took care of us. The boss wasn't very cooperative either and wanted to go to the door with one of our group to clarify something. We then left the restaurant. There were further discussions with the boss and an employee in front of the restaurant, which didn't lead to anything.

You will get the world best chicken wings here! I have no idea how they do them, but they’re delicious

We have had dinner here several times as a group. The service was always friendly and quick. The beer selection is good and the burgers and ribs are very tasty. Paying with a credit card is also possible 👍🏼 Football games are also broadcast here on several screens, so that as a group you can spend nice evenings with sport, good food and beer in a nice Irish pub atmosphere.

Best pub in town. Lovely service, great food, top ambience and the karaoke nights every Friday are very fun. Many thanks to you guys!

I'm super disappointed! This used to be our favorite bar, we went there every weekend. It's absolutely understandable that everything is a little more expensive these days and I would never complain about that. But prices for the food have remained almost the same. The portions were simply halved. I paid just under 15 euros for my meal and was still hungry afterwards. The homeopathic portion of fries - which will probably be the cheapest when shopping - was really a laugh. The waitress kept us sitting in front of empty glasses until we went to the counter and got our drinks. In addition, we were left sitting in front of the eaten plates for over an hour, when we asked politely we were told it was just too busy (the shop was 3/4 full, so it was a relatively quiet evening) and then the waitress came away empty-handed (!!!) went into the kitchen instead of taking 4 plates with us. Then around 11 p.m. they said they wanted to close in half an hour... On a Saturday evening with around 30+ guests?! It's really a shame, things were different under the old owner back then!

Quaint little pub, delicious food, friendly service, I was there with a large group in 7/2023 and there was dancing in the next room, ground floor entrance, right next to Rewe, I'll be happy to come back

Guinness is there and traditional pub food like fishburger. Liked the place and the owner is native English speaker.

Waren gestern Abend 04.05. essen. Nach 45 min. habe ich höfflich gefragt wie lange denn das Essen noch dauern würde. Die Antwort der unmotivierten Bedienung war wortwörtlich: so lange es halt dauert, da der Koch noch nicht da sei. Die Person hat eindeutig Ihren Beruf verfehlt. Hätte man uns das nicht vorher sagen können. Dann hätten wir gewusst woran wir sind und hätten uns evtl. eine Alternative überlegen können. Die Burger kamen nach einer Stunde und waren kalt, dass alles bei 50€. Und die Ausrede vom Koch: Gestern war viel los und es war alles leer und wir mussten noch einkaufen gehen. Leute das kann doch nicht das Problem des Gastes sein. Ich komme ursprünglich aus der Gastronomie, bei mir hätte es so was nicht gegeben.

I went there with friends for karaoke night & it was a lot of fun. :) The server was really nice and given the fact how crowded it was, he was really quick with the drinks as well. I enjoyed the cheesy garlic bread. Great choice!

Great people, great service, a sunny dark place. In the winter, you can sit inside, but as soon as it is warm enough you can also sit outside. And it is always fun. Here, you can sing karaoke or listen to live music. You can drink or eat and drink. It is always nice and fun. It is a pleasure to be here. Card payment is accepted.

Sehr schönes kleines Lokal. Das Essen sehr gut mit sehr guten Preisleistungsverhältnis. Ideal zum Fußball schauen. Hier trinkt man gern sein Kilkenny. Hervorzuheben das sehr freundliche Personal, sehr lobenswert. Ein Ort zum wohl fühlen.

Update 11/2022 Livemusik mit Alessandro: Sehr cooler Entertainer mit hohem Spassfaktor, Burger mit Süßkartoffeln sehr lecker und Oharas Bier als Empfehlung (hell, süffig). Personal stets gut gelaunt und für jeden Spaß bereit ;-) Sehr cooles Team. Mindestens Zweisprachig 😎. Super Bier und Whisky. Nette Menschen. Gutes Essen. Volle Empfehlung.....

Really enjoyed quiz night. Great beer, excellent food and great service. Our new go to pub. It has everything there to be able to enjoy from early till late. Proper home cooked shepherds pie was delicious. Will be back after Christmas.

Die Getränke sind ok, auf Essen werde ich hier in Zukunft verzichten. Die Bedienung ist langsam und unaufmerksam.

Schöner Pub. Wir haben am Tresen Platz genommen und wurden sofort freundlich Empfangen und bedient. Verschiedene Biere incl. Guinness vom Fass.

Sehr leckeres Essen, besonders die Burger. Es gibt Irish Beer und sehr guten hausgemachten Eistee. Preise sind absolut in Ordnung.

Nett eingerichtet aber leider nicht sehr aufmerksam im Service - wir wurden etwas stiefmütterlichbehandelt. Essen dauerte sehr lange war aber dann auch wirklich lecker. Als Entschuldigung gab es einen Shot gratis. Das hat uns ein wenig versöhnt.

Pub trovato per caso mentre cercavamo un locale a Bad Homburg. Locale accogliente, servizio molto cortese, buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Per un cottage pie, una bistecca con rosti e insalata, un chicken curry con riso basmati, un piatto di onion rings, una porzione di patate, una 4 birre medie, 2 acque minerali abbiamo pagato circa 75 euro. Ottima musica!

Great Irish beer, great hamburgers—the best in town!—and wonderful French fries. A very pub-like atmosphere. I've eaten there many times and it is always terrific.

Wir waren im Pub auf einen Absacker vor ein paar Monaten. Normalerweise erwartet man typisches uriges und gemütliches Pub-Flair. Hier wurden wir leider enttäuscht. Die komplette Einrichtung sieht ziemlich lieblos und in die Jahre gekommen aus. Auch wenn Pubs immer ein wenig "ranzig" sind, strahlen sie dennoch ein gewisses Britisches Flair aus. Hier jedoch Fehlanzeige. Schade und nicht zu empfehlen.

Ein typischer Pubbetrieb wie man ihn von den Britischen Inseln kennt. Häufig voll, mit Bildschirmen und Fußballübertragung sowie typischen Pubgerichten. Sehr empfehlenswert der Mittwoch. Dann ist 'Burger-Combo-Day' und es gibt Burger zum ermäßigten Preis inklusive ein Guiness. Sicherlich keine Hochburg für Feinschmecker, aber das waren Pubs noch nie und sollen es ja auch nicht sein.

Für ein schnelles Guinnes gut geeignet. Die Küche ist unbefriedigend und hat mit Gastroessen wenig zu tun. Pommes OK. Saucen sind dazu gekauft und was vom Koch wirklich zubereitet werden muss ist mangelhaft. Das Geld ist wo anders besser aufgehoben.

Reservation was cancelled because we came few minutes late. Staff didn't even talked with us. She said that she doesn't have time for discussions because she is to busy so we had to leave

We went here for a meal on our first night in Bad Homburg as we were looking for somewhere close to our hotel as we were tired. The bar itself is welcoming and the draft German beer (Bitburger) was very nice indeed and decent at €3.60 a pint. We had a couple of pints and it was consistently good. Very pleasant barman who also doubled up as a waiter. We sat in the main seating area and had a main meal each. The food was good quality, very generous portions and decently priced. Plenty of screens if sport is your thing. It isn't fancy - but it is a pub, not fine dining!

Ratings are always a personal thing. Some find the smallest of detail to moan about. Here, the food is good, large portions and the Chef knows how to cook a steak. Service has always been friendly and quick. Yes, sometimes during their busiest periods it can be slower than normal but nonetheless acceptable. From some reviews here you'd think they booked a Michelin Star restaurant rather than a sports bar! Noisy? Give over, it's a sports bar people....

Nothing spectacular, doesn’t look very clean, it’s premises average. If you sit near the kitchen you will be covered with the smell of fried potatoes and fried chicken. Guiness beer is good, but that’s about it. Not a place to eat .

Called and made a reservation. Arrived and told the waitress our name. Were looked at like we were aliens. Got it sorted. She said that she didn't write our reservation down because there was plenty of space before the football game crowds arrived. Waited to place our order while said waitress chatted with a friend. Other patrons were getting impatient. 15 mins later, Made our order. I ordered a burger. Not bad. Beef patty was overlooked and dry. Chips were not fresh. Had been sitting around or under a heat lamp for a while. Heard good things. Expected more. Left disappointed. Does not have an Irish pub feel. If you had a choice between Oberursel and Bad Homburg...go Oberursel!

Really excited to visit here. My family live in Bad Homburg and every time we visit we mean to eat at the Irish Pub. Booked a table on a Friday night. One bar maid/waitress. Very slow service. Asked for fish, chips and peas. Came without peas. Asked where they where? No peas.... Ok can we have beans? Got a huff and puff. Also ordered curry sauce which arrived frozen. Over €75 for 2 dry and tasteless fish and chips, a stew, burger and an over cooked platter. Very disappointed.

Hatte leider keine Zeit und Muße zum Abendessen, sondern nur Lust auf ein gepflegtes Bier. Da ist alles, frisch gezapft sehr ok. Stout, Ale passt wohl am besten, aber auch das Pils ist ok. Scheint die Zuflucht für die Ortpolitiker nach mehr oder weniger anstrengenden oder frustrierenden Sitzungen im Rathaus zu sein. Deshalb auch der große Männerüberschuss. Da fällt die flotte, junge und hübsche Bedienung richtig auf.
