Arkaden Brasserie & Cafe in Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe

I came here for coffee and cake. I found it quite cozy. The cake selection was okay. The coffee was delicious.

I went there for the first time today and chose something from the lunch menu. I ordered the salmon fillet with green sauce and potatoes for €17.90. It was okay, but it wasn't really filling. My beer was taken away from me, even though there was still some left in the bottle, while I was in the restroom.

The air-conditioned interior was a joke. Sweating is inevitable. The air in the smoking area in front was more pleasant. Two women served. The first was simply incompetent (to the point where you had to completely correct the second's order or send it back), the second seemed annoyed; hospitality hardly came across. Card payments were not accepted, and there was no receipt for that either. All in all, we were quickly out again. I'm still annoyed that they even had to tip for that.

Why don't they remove the "Air-conditioned..." sign when the room is stuffy and hot? The coffee and cake were fine, but the service was unprofessional. Friendly at the table, but behind the counter, the guests were spoken of in a very derogatory manner. Remember: Not all older people have poor hearing!

Tucked away in the arcades, this inexpensive, friendly café offers a wide range of dishes. The biggest advantage this time of year is the air conditioning. The ambiance is otherwise perfect for a stay, even a longer one.

It was a pleasure! Praise for the food, fast and tasty, with great decor. Praise for the service, fast and friendly. We'll be happy to come back! We saw it too late: the first hour of parking is free for guests. Great, next time then! In the heat: an air-conditioned interior, very nice!

The cordon bleu with fries 🍟 was very good. The service was very friendly. The ambiance is also very nice. We'll be back.

Good ambience, attentive service, actually good. There's always something missing that you want to order in terms of drinks. Or, iced chocolate was ordered on two different visits. On the second visit it was served completely differently than on the first, which I don't understand. Therefore, there is still a need for improvement if something is constantly not there.

We went to the Arcade Café for lunch today. Schnitzel Hawaii with fries for €9.90 instead of €14.90. The food quality was canteen level, clearly visible frozen and convenience products including shaped meat and canned pineapple. The portions weren't particularly large either. The service staff did not stand out for their speed. Even though there was hardly any customer, it only took about 10 minutes to clear away. The drinks prices are completely outrageous: a small 0.2 liter apple juice spritzer costs an incredible €3.50. This can hardly be surpassed in terms of cheekiness. Even the 0.25 liter apel wine is cheaper at €3.30, although that is considerably too high. Conclusion: canteen food at gourmet prices. Never again.

Occasionally a bit cramped and sometimes a bit cramped. Price level acceptable for the location. Diverse range of dishes.

Unfortunately I can't say anything positive, cleanliness, well, but what was worse was the food, which corresponded to mediocre canteen standards, schnitzel was molded meat champions from a can, sauce tasted like it came from a bag. Wasn't my first visit, but my last

The older female waitress struck us as very unpleasant; she was very unfriendly and disrespectful towards her young, very friendly and patient colleague. She constantly reprimanded him, bossed him around, and commented on almost his every move. He tried very hard to do his job well and was surprisingly calm and patient with his colleague. She also made negative comments about the guests in the room, especially a group of older people. She seemed very unfriendly and disrespectful, but she was friendly right in front of the guests. But her comments were unmistakable. These comments were heard throughout our visit. Very unprofessional, I've never experienced anything like that... We ordered a dish called Backfisch Burger or something similar - we were brought Backfisch. The waiter said the dish was called a burger, but it wasn't a burger. We didn't understand that. The order was taken on the cell phone and there was no paper bill. A nice atmosphere with mediocre food and unsuitable service, a shame!

The food really wasn't that good. But what was worse were the staff, who were loudly arguing and shouting at each other. It was all so unprofessional. Furthermore, the connecting door to the smoking area outside was permanently open, so the restaurant smelled of ashtrays. It wasn't particularly appetizing.

The place and food environment everything was amazing would definitely visit again

After the change of ownership, the café took on a new life. It is clean and renovated with taste. The food tastes good, the prices are reasonable and there is a smoking and a non-smoking section. The café also impresses with a large selection of food and spirits.

Today we had something to eat at the Arkaden Café. My wife had a schnitzel with green sauce and I had a liver dumpling soup. The service was very accommodating and we felt we were in good hands. After we ordered, the food came to our table very quickly. The food was hot and freshly prepared and everything tasted very good. The atmosphere is very nice, modern and tidy. You can't complain about the prices either, we paid less than €30 for two main courses with an additional small fries for our child and three drinks.

Me and my friend went to this cozy-looking cafe - which reminded me of my good times in Milan - for a cup of coffee and some evening chat. Shout out to young people: Do not make our mistake and go there on an Sunday evening!! They are a group of old mean people there who would stare at you and judge you and when you finally stand up to leave they would start commenting about you in German as if you don't understand a word.🤦‍♀️ The staff were cool though

Four of us ate there today. We ordered 3x Schnitzel Viennese style (with fries and cucumber salad) and 1x schnitzel with fries, cream sauce and cucumber salad. We were brought two portions of very cross-fried schnitzel, the cream sauce was more of a tomato sauce and the cucumber salad was completely forgotten. When we asked, we were given 4 mini bowls (more suitable for dips) each with about 4 slices or pieces of cucumber of different thicknesses from very thin to 0.5cm and a touch of vinegar diluted with water on top. It had nothing to do with cucumber salad. We told the staff about all of this on site. We definitely won't be coming back

The interior has something from the past, but the service and the kitchen are great.

My friend and I wanted to have breakfast around 11:15 and ended up in this cafe. The service was friendly. The path through the porch, which is intended for smokers, was ok at first because only 2 people were smoking there. When we left the cafe there were now around 12 people sitting in the porch. The glass door between the cafe and the porch didn't close properly and smoke wafted into the cafe. And the cold too. I had to air my clothes at home and wonder what kind of separation that is... Very uncomfortable and shouldn't be like that. When ordering breakfast there was also a strange surprise: there were only 2 rolls left (poppy seeds and sesame) and the seeds had to be baked first. In the end we took the two rolls and got a loafy baguette with them. Why is coffee served before breakfast? Probably so that you can order another one. It was only a small cup. Initially only raw ham was offered, but then cooked ham was emphasized. 1 small packet of butter for 2 rolls? It doesn't work at all. The cheese was fantastically tasty! This calmed our irritation a little about such a strange breakfast offering. We paid almost €27 for this experience (2x breakfast, 2x cheese, 2x ham and also 2x coffee, the 2 requested portions of butter certainly ended up on the bill) and will definitely not go to this cafe for breakfast again. Unfortunately we didn't get the invoice "on paper". The order was taken on the cell phone and the waiter came to the table to pay without an invoice. The problem with the smoking area should be addressed.

Ich weiß nicht, woran es lag, mein Essen Salat mit Pilzen war sandig und zwar bei jedem Pilz. Die Spaghetti Bolognese waren butterweich und die Soße unterer Durchschnitt. Die Wartezeit war sehr lange. Einzig die Pommes waren brauchbar und verhindern letztendlich eine noch schlechtere Bewertung. Zusammen mit einer jungen freundlichen aber überforderten Bedienung.

Der kaffee schmeckt nicht es scheint älter zu sein

Das Gesamtpaket von Service, Personal und Essen passt, die Preise für Bad Homburg okay. Die Spargelcremesuppe kann ich nur empfehlen.

Wir waren 2x dort. Beim ersten Mal für Kaffee und Kuchen, war lecker. Beim zweiten Mal für Leber und andere warme Speisen. Es sind halt Bad Homburger Preise, also kein Schnäppchen. Gemütliches Ambiente. Service war zügig und freundlich.

Man kann hier sehr lecker essen und bei schöner, ruhiger Hintergrundmusik entspannen. Der Fisch butterzart, Gemüse sehr lecker mit einer ausgezeichneten Sauce.

Wir waren Heute zum ersten Mal hier Essen. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr schön, die Bedienung freundlich und das Essen war sehr lecker. Es gab gar nichs zu bemängeln. Bis zum nächsten Mal......

Super freundliche Bedienungen, schöner Raucherbereich, Preise für Bad Homburg absolut fair. Wir mögen es sehr. Es sind gute Nachfolger des Lathers.

This restaurant doesn't accept credit cards. Debit cards are accepted over 30 euro. 19th century. The coffee is good though

Ich frühstücke dort gerne wenn ich mal die Zeit dazu finde - immer lecker und eine immer freundliche Bedienung mit einem Lächeln auf den Lippen.

Such a nice restaurant managed by friendly people... Kurbis soup was very delicious with many different flavours.

It is located in side the Arkaden. The staff is kind and the place is pleasant. We had a very good latte Macchiato and great fresh cheese cake with apricot.

Unser Besuch am 23.04.22 in dem Restaurant Cafe & Brasserie in den Arkaden in Bad Homburg mittags war recht enttäuschend. Mittagsangebot Spargelgericht rechtfertigte kein Lob. Spargelmenge auf dem Teller gerade einmal 2 Stangen. Also sehr überschaubar, gerade jetzt zur Spargelzeit. Das Minutensteak dazu war auch nur auf Grund seiner Größe gerade so auf dem Teller wieder zu finden. Dazu wurde auf meinen Wunsch statt Sauce Hollandaise zerlassene Butter gereicht Ein Fingerhut voll, also sehr sparsam. Mein Urteil: keine positive Empfehlung. Für meine Reklamation hatte man nur ein Schulterzucken!!!!!!!
