We were very impressed with the fast and friendly service. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were given a lovely table by the window. The "Insalata Mista" was larger than expected 👌🏻. My wife had pasta and I had a pizza, which arrived very quickly—was it frozen? It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either! The dessert, "Cassata," was very tasty (unfortunately, it was just whipped cream from a can), but it's not an ice cream parlor! The drink prices are quite steep, though; a wheat beer costs €6! Despite the restaurant being full, the atmosphere is very pleasant. We would definitely come back!

Overall, something was missing that Italian flair. The bruschetta was bland, lacking fresh herbs, and the arugula on the topping didn't really help. And please, no sticks of mozzarella. The pizza was supposed to have that rich, deep pizza flavor of marjoram, thyme, good tomatoes, and a delicious cheese that clings to everything – hmm, unfortunately not. In fact, this same lack of Italian flavor extended even to the tiramisu. Unfortunately, there was no balanced sweetness, no Amaretto, and sadly, no espresso to add flavor. The whole thing was too sweet and not Italian enough. The service was very kind and friendly, but it's a shame that at one table, a person had to wait a long time for their food while everyone else was already served, and even had to ask for it. I've eaten there several times before, and I have to say that it has drastically deteriorated. It's a nice and pleasant restaurant with a great atmosphere, but please work on the quality of your food.

We were in Bad Homburg today. The restaurant looked very nice and cozy from the outside, so we decided to eat there. The food was incredibly delicious and very juicy. The atmosphere is very pleasant and lovely. We highly recommend this restaurant! 🥰😘

I dined at this restaurant and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The location, the ambiance, and the service were all superb. I was also very satisfied with my steak – top-quality meat cooked to perfection for well under €30. I will definitely be back soon.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. There were four of us, hoping to have found a good Italian restaurant – unfortunately, we were completely disappointed from the appetizers to the main course. The food fell far short of our expectations in terms of taste, and the service was very pushy and at times rude.

Today, strolling through the streets of this small town, we came across this restaurant. For two, we spent €52. We had a Prosecco as an aperitif, a quart of white wine, a Margherita pizza, a plate of macaroni with sausage, broccoli, and cherry tomatoes, and two coffees. Limoncello was complimentary. The table service was good. Overall, it was a very good experience. The only downside (for me) was that the pasta could have been cooked a minute less (but that's a personal preference). We'll be back with friends.

I went there for dinner with my wife. The meat was super tender. My pizza was very good. The service was friendly and quick. The prices were reasonable.

This will probably become our regular restaurant, or rather, it already is! The fact that this restaurant has been around for as long as I can remember speaks for itself... What I appreciate most is that it's Italian from A to Z, from the service to the food, the wines, and the interior! Highly recommended! I'm already looking forward to my next visit there!!!

Do you want to eat a frozen pizza that costs at least €11? Then you've come to the right place. Absolutely outrageous. I ordered a Pizza Diavola, and at an Italian restaurant, it's supposed to have spicy salami on it, not pepperoni. This kind of Diavola is actually only available as a frozen pizza. The best or worst: My brother-in-law's pizza was still cold in the middle. Like at an Italian restaurant in Italy? Absolutely not. Whoever says that has probably never eaten at a real Italian restaurant.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, and everything is decorated in Italian style. Our food looked good at first glance. But on second glance, we noticed a piece of leaf in our pasta with porcini mushrooms. We then pointed out the condition. She said it was from the porcini mushroom!?! When we asked where the porcini mushrooms were supposed to have leaves, the waitress remained silent and called a second waitress. She again said the leaf was from the porcini mushroom. Then, quite frankly, a third waitress came along and also said it was from the porcini mushroom. But when we asked where the porcini mushrooms were supposed to have leaves, this time he gave the correct answer, that it came from the area around the porcini mushroom. But it's not a big deal and you can't wash the porcini mushroom. He took the piece of leaf and ate it. 😂 I found the whole thing extremely unprofessional. You have to own up to your mistakes and not talk such nonsense. The food was otherwise mediocre, and another visit is out of the question for us.

Our regular spot. Yes, there have been occasional slip-ups, but mostly it's top-notch! It's the casual feel that defines it, something other places mask with a white tablecloth.

Well, unfortunately, not so convincing today... The tomato sauce on the pizza was a bit sour, and the parmesan was a bit old and dry... Otherwise, it was always great... Planned another visit to Pane e Vino. Enjoyed the Italian flair and the hospitality of the staff over pizza. The visit was worth it, as was the selection of food.

Good restaurant with solid pizza

The food is good; I've eaten a variety of dishes several times – and mostly enjoyed it. The side dishes (e.g., with scalopine) weren't great, frozen vegetables, but OK. The service is OK, but 'variable.' Somehow, solo guests (I often eat alone) don't seem to be highly valued, even if I eat 2-3 courses with wine, etc. 'Everyone' gets offered amaretto/limoncello/..., but I, as a solo guest, never get one. It's just noticeable.

I ordered seasonal, homemade pasta with asparagus and gamberi - the asparagus, brown instead of green and from a can, with 3 gamberi. The second dish, Carbonara - the Italian version was ordered with egg and no cream, but because both dishes were warmed up in the microwave, the egg in the Carbonara looked like scrambled eggs. There were also fresh spring onions in both dishes. A no go! A half-Italian woman like me was then tried to explain what traditional Italian cuisine is like. Arrivederci, a non mai vederci.

We've eaten here for the 4th time now and there's nothing negative. Staff was always friendly and in a good mood. The food was always very good, whether pizza, pasta or salad! Price/performance is absolutely ok.

Unfortunately, the Spaghetti Vongole was only mediocre. For this dish, spaghettoni would have been a better choice instead of spaghettini. Also missing was the scent of vongole, garlic, wine and a good olive oil - everything that usually makes this dish so special. Unfortunately, of the first ten Vongols I removed, all were empty. Too bad! I would have prepared them a little differently. Just a small recommendation – warm greetings from Antonio from Sicily.

After visiting the Taunus Therme, we felt a little hungry and so the Pane e Vino restaurant was just right for a late lunch. My wife had a first-class Tonno pizza and I had the homemade pasta with wild boar goulash. Also very good. All of this with fair prices and very friendly staff. What more could you want? Absolutely recommended and we would be happy to come back.

Here you can get typical Italian dishes at good prices. Everything tasted delicious and was served quickly. The only thing that could be improved would be friendlier service. Otherwise highly recommended.

We got this restaurant in the hotel as a tip and ate here yesterday. The store was really very full but we were still served quickly and very well. We also really enjoyed the food and the price was absolutely fair. When talking to the people sitting next to us, we were told that it always tastes good here, there is great service and that they eat here very often. The food also came to the table very hot, remarkable given how busy it was. I can only recommend this restaurant.

It is a large place and probably is heaving later in the evenings. We were there 6 pm so rather early. The service was fine, some waiters friendlier than others. It is dimly lit - perhaps to make it romantic but I needed a torch to read the menu. They have a wide variety of choices from the economical to the extravagant - with prices in the same ranges. It's a very large place and can accommodate many diners. Would be interesting to see what it's like later on.

We spontaneously went to Pane e Vino for the first time. The atmosphere is quite cozy, but unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. The dishes were rather carelessly prepared and we expected better in terms of taste. The salad was very balsamic-heavy and the pasta dish with porcini mushrooms was very oil-heavy. The cannelloni were ok. The staff seemed extremely stressed, even though there was actually enough staff for the number of guests. All in all, we had hoped for a little more from our visit to Pane e Vino.

Umar is a very friendly waiter, what personal service! We ate here twice, were recognized and treated as regular customers. The gnochi and pasta are divine, panna cotta is to die for and the staff is very friendly! The prices are very cheap, so we can learn a lot from them in the Netherlands. The gnochi are definitely handmade, melt in your mouth and the restaurant is highly recommended!

We have been regular customers at Pane e Vino in Bad Homburg for years. The food is always of reliable quality, whether salad, pasta, pizza or the meat dishes. I find the service to be friendly and accommodating. A big plus for us is the continuous opening hours, especially on weekends.

I have to say please please please. There's more to it. 1. Were there recently. The service, fast, fast, fast. Not personal, not friendly, not open. 2. My companion had the new wine (we had ordered a different one) poured into a glass that still had wine in it. NoGo 3. At the end I wanted to drink a limoncello. It didn't say it was on the house. 2 were on the house and mine was settled at 4.50. impudence Guys, the food was OK. If you don't care that people come and you want tourists. Keep it up... If you want regulars, put something on it. More is possible. Good luck

I used to eat at Pane e Vino very often. The bill has now increased by almost 70% and then a 15% service fee is automatically added to the bill without consultation. Unfortunately we are out and you have lost us as loyal customers...
