We celebrated our daughter’s birthday here and we loved the experience. The service is sublime ! Waiters were so attentive that they would not allow us to pour our water, they were ready there. We requested some shells because our daughter asked if she can play with some and were offered some to play. The waiter serving us even sang a bday song and brought the desert with candles. Atmosphere: chic! White table cloth, napkins served nicely, beautiful fireplaces and warm. Food was amazing! Highly reccomend this place.

I'm surprised by all these positive reviews, but I understand that the Italians who live here have rightly forgotten good food so you satisfy them with little, but I'm a true Italian, and I avoid Italian restaurants abroad like the plague because I like to eat well... and to eat well you start with a very high quality product which cannot be found in Germany and then you have to know how to cook... unfortunately I found myself in this place not by my own will... But I knew how it would end, poor food not I liked nothing very over the top waiters... I'm not used to this type of service, I'm used to other restaurants... so what can I say, I hope to never go back again, very high prices for what I ate...

Eine Sinfonie für den Gaumen – ein unvergesslicher Abend im Ristorante Da Alfonso Am vergangenen Freitag hatten meine Frau und ich das Vergnügen, ein Acht-Gänge-Dinner im Ristorante Da Alfonso zu genießen – und es war nichts weniger als spektakulär. Jeder Gang war eine wahre Sinfonie für den Gaumen, meisterhaft zubereitet und perfekt abgestimmt. Der Abend begann mit einem liebevoll angerichteten Gruß aus der Küche, gefolgt von exquisiten Fischgerichten. Ein erfrischende und Rezeptoren neutralisierendes Zitronensorbet bereitete den Übergang zu den Fleischgerichten, bevor das Menü mit einer herrlichen Dessert-Variation und einem aromatischen Espresso seinen krönenden Abschluss fand. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die exzellente Weinbegleitung, die jeden Gang aufs Beste ergänzte. Doch nicht nur die Speisen und Getränke waren erstklassig – beeindruckend war auch die herzliche Atmosphäre, die das Team um Alfonso Penna geschaffen hat. Mit spürbarer Freude und viel Liebe zum Detail wurde jeder Gang serviert, und das Wohl des Gastes stand stets im Mittelpunkt. Das Ristorante Da Alfonso ist zwar im gehobenen Preissegment, doch jeden Euro absolut wert. A symphony for the palate and an unforgettable evening at Ristorante Da Alfonso Last Friday, my wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying an eight-course dinner at Ristorante Da Alfonso - and it was nothing short of spectacular. Each course was a true symphony for the palate, masterfully prepared and perfectly balanced. The evening began with a lovingly prepared greeting from the kitchen, followed by exquisite fish dishes. A refreshing and receptor-neutralizing lemon sorbet prepared the transition to the meat dishes, before the menu came to a crowning conclusion with a wonderful dessert variation and an aromatic espresso. We would particularly like to highlight the excellent wine accompaniment, which perfectly complemented each course. But it wasn't just the food and drinks that were first class - the warm atmosphere created by Alfonso Penna's team was also impressive. Every course was served with noticeable joy and great attention to detail, and the guest's well-being was always the focus. The Ristorante Da Alfonso is in the upper price segment, but absolutely worth every euro. Eat: Mostly very tasty. I particularly enjoyed the dishes with the red wine sauce (e.g. lamb) and the lime sauce with the fish. The fried potatoes were quite firm and dry after frying and deep-frying. The ice sorbet balls are served very simply but taste delicious. Service: Polite, good advice and not a long waiting time. Wonderful. Around 8 p.m., when the restaurant fills up, you have to be patient or have nice people to talk to. Ambiance: Nicely decorated for Christmas. The table is beautifully set. Noise levels can increase around 8pm, making it difficult to have a comfortable conversation. Unfortunately there was still music playing in the background. Only the bass was still noticeable. A recent visit was very sobering. The food wasn't served really warm. The flesh of the Madallion was as firm as I have ever experienced. The meatballs weren't cooked inside. Noodles and dumplings were offered for a goulash dish. I found the goulash portions to be too small. A scoop of ice cream is served carelessly. We had to wait an unusually long time for the dishes to be served. The rather high price does not match the overall quality. All four people in our group were not happy with their dish. On three previous visits the quality was good. Then you are willing to pay the prices quoted. The last visit, however, was sobering. This was probably our last visit because the quality varies so much.

We had 3x menus, 1x a la carte, everyone was very satisfied.

At the reception the waiter told me something about football even though I hate football! My wife was recommended to have hot sauce with her meal even though she doesn't like hot sauce! Had to be exchanged! My wife's salad wasn't done amazingly either. Ok, everything was fresh. The boss wasn't dressed appropriately for such a good restaurant. I used to be used to better things.

In einer freundlichen italienischen Atmosphäre wurden wir mit einem leckeren 4 Gang Menü verwöhnt. Ob Scampi, baby calamari oder Filet von der Königsbrasse war alles auf den Punkt und lecker abgeschmeckt. Der Service war stets präsent und freundlich.

I had assorted seafood pasta, beef Capriccio pizza, and a bottle of Sauvignon. There is a surprisingly large amount of pasta. The pizza dough was a little thick, but it was seasoned well. It was okay for me, but my friend who went with me said the pasta was a little overcooked.

In ambiance, in choices of food and drinks, in service and in cleanliness! A great place to be, a family run business, always hospitable and friendly. Do not confuse with "asian" fish places. One expects prepared fish dishes from the Italian kitchen, not sushi or sashimi. For this you must visit other places! Bravissimo, Alfonso and Team! "professore"!!

In welchem Jahrhundert sind wir angekommen? In dem eine Frau, alleine nicht mal Mittagessen kann? Man wird von oben herab völlig unprofessionell behandelt, mit altem Salat abgespeist und bei Beschwerden behandelt wie eine Aussätzige. Die Salatblätter am Tisch zu zerbröseln war der Gipfel der Frechheit. Wo sind die äußerst charmanten weltberühmten italienischen Kellner? Hier zumindest nicht und ich rate jedem davon ab, diesen Abklatsch eines italienischen Restaurants zu betreten. Nie wieder!!

Everything to the best of satisfaction. We go there again and again. The food is of the finest quality and the service is so courteous and positive that it is second to none. The rooms are very exposed and have something very warm about them. Chef Alvonso is always happy to make something possible in terms of cuisine that is not on the menu.

A small cozy Italian restaurant in the middle of Bad Homburg. The prices are a bit above average, but the service and the quality definitely are on par with expectations. Pasta Gorgonzola was definitely as good as I had in Rome. Service was quick and professional.

Fairly good fare at this restaurant. My pizza was quite nice, great cheese on it. The Gnocchis were good, but as a dish it is not really balanced, a salad on the side would have been welcome. The service was very friendly, lots of smiles. We did not have to wait much at all, it was efficient.

Every time I visit Bad Homburg I go to the Da Alfonso restaurant because it is excellent. Everything is harmonious, the ambience, the food is excellent (both the starters and the fish specialties - I can especially recommend the lime sauce), the service is very attentive and friendly, the wines round everything off. It's always a pleasure to be able to eat here.

Ich war heute im Da Alfonso zu einem geschäftlichen Mittagessen. Ich hatte am Vortag über die Webseite reserviert und habe trotz Ruhetage umgehend eine Bestätigung erhalten. Top. Gegessen haben wir das Menu 3 (Lachs als Vorspeise und Dorade als Hauptgang) beide Gänge waren ausgesprochen lecker. Der Service war nett und zuvorkommen. Ich kann Da Alfonso Nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Direkt nach Taunus Therme Besuch.... Wir sind zufällig in dieses Restaurant gekommen und haben nicht bereut 🥰. Das Personal 💯, gut besucht zu Mittags Zeit trotzdem nicht zu lange auf Essen gewartet. Preise völlig akzeptabel 👍, geschmacklich sehr gut. Ich kann nur empfehlen. Tolle charmante Bedienung,die Seine Arbeit mag und Kunde mit deren Wünsche kein Störfaktor sind. Einfach Klasse Team 🍀💯👍

Poco puedo opinar de este restaurante en cuanto a comida se refiere, llame por teléfono sobre las 14 horas, el restaurante según google cerraba a las 15 y ya por teléfono me advirtieron de una manera no muy cordial que si llegaba mas tarde de las 14:30, la cocina estaría cerrada. Llegamos sobre las 14:20 y nos atendieron muy bien, un camarero muy atento y simpático y como teníamos prisa y no queríamos complicar a la cocina pedimos un par de pizzas y Lasagna que suelen tener preparada los restaurantes. Todo genial, vimos algunos platos pasar y todo tenia una pinta espectacular, sobre todo los platos de pescado. Se ve que trabajan con muy buen producto y lo saben tratar como es debido. La comida llego mas o menos rápido. Mi recomendación es que si vas a este restaurante, pide platos de pescado y de pasta con pescado. La pizza como podras comprobar por las fotos no es su especialidad, ni por presentacion ni por sabor. Lo que no me gusto nada fue el trato final que recibimos por parte del dueño o encargando, el cual vino a traernos la cuenta, y a cobrarnos. El trato en ese momento fue como si fuéramos clientes de segunda por lo que habíamos pedido supongo, a penas nos miro y ni nos pregunto que tal la comida. Le dimos propina y no dio las gracias. La situación fue un tanto incomoda. Un grave error por su parte, debería tratar por igual a todos los clientes.

Obwohl mein Mann und ich weder viel noch teuer bestellt hatten, wurden wir sehr nett, höflich und zuvorkommend bedient. Auch der Chef war sehr freundlich. Das Essen war lecker und „wie in Italien“, dabei bin ich eine anspruchsvolle Genießerin. Eine relativ übersichtliche Karte finde ich sehr gut. Nichts erschlägt mich mehr als 100 Speisen, die kaum frisch sein können. Leider wohnen wir zu weit weg. Andernfalls wären wir ganz sicher wieder zu Gast gewesen.

Leider war an diesem Tag das Essen nicht besonders. Vielleicht auch nur das Mittagsangebot.

Nette überdachte Terrasse, sehr aufmerksame Kellner. Leider ist die Pizza nicht wirklich überzeugend, dabei auch eher gehobenes Preisniveau. Aber der Hammer ist das Weizenbier für 6 Euro, und dann noch das schnöde Schöfferhofer in einem Glas von Krombacher. Irgendwie schade, passt nicht so recht ins sonst gute Bild vom "Da Alfonso".

Als jemand, der stets ein kritischer Gast ist und hohe Erwartungen hat, ist es nicht leicht, mich vollends zu überzeugen. Doch das Alfonso in Bad Homburg schafft dies jedes Mal aufs Neue. Das Essen ist nicht nur optisch ein Genuss, sondern auch geschmacklich unvergleichlich, wobei jeder Bissen von Perfektion zeugt. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist warm und einladend, was den kulinarischen Genuss perfekt ergänzt. Hinzu kommt das ausgesprochen freundliche Personal, das mit seiner Herzlichkeit und Professionalität den Besuch zu einem besonderen Erlebnis macht. Die Weinauswahl rundet das Ganze ab und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Bei jedem meiner Besuche wurden meine hohen Erwartungen nicht nur erfüllt, sondern regelmäßig übertroffen. Das Alfonso ist für mich in Bad Homburg ein absolutes Highlight und ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Extrem leckeres Essen in charmantem italienischen Flair sowie super freundlichem Service, freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch

Selten so authentisch italienisch gegessen. Super aufmerksame und nette Bedienung. Preis-Leistung absolut top!

All die guten Bewertungen können wir in keinster Weise nachvollziehen. Es werden Preise wie in einer Großstadt aufgerufen für eine Qualität und Präsentation wie in der Provinz (was Bad Homburg letztlich ja auch ist). Das einzig genießbare war der Fisch. Die Vorspeise von meinem Menu (45€) war so unstimmig und lieblos angerichtet ( getrocknete Tomaten auf Avocadomus (nein, Guacamole geht anders), mit Artichocken aus dem Glas und Tortillachips vom Discounter. Punkt. Der Zwischengang bestand aus zerkochten Orechiette mit noch zerkochterem, geschmacklosen Brokkoliebrei. Wäre ich 6 Monate alt, hätte ich mich vielleicht gefreut. Ab da war dann Schluss für mich, das Zeug ging zurück. Die Spaghetti Al'oglio, die stattdessen kamen, waren ok. Mehr aber auch nicht. Die Kaisergranaten mit 44,50€ waren lächerlich klein. Aber immerhin frisch. Wir hatten beide Fisch als Hauptgang. Der war frisch und genießbar. Die offenen Weißweine ( ich habe zwei probiert ) sind ehrlich gesagt wenig bis gar nicht genießbar. Den Pinot Grigio kann man maximal zum Kochen nehmen. Ich habe ihn nicht runterbekommen. Der Sauvignon blanc ist erträglich. Der Service wirkte insgesamt etwas gestresst und wenig aufmerksam, aber freundlich. Insgesamt keine gute Erfahrung. Wir waren schon fast überall auf der Welt und auch in Deutschland essen. Aber hier muss dringend an der Qualität gearbeitet werden.

Tolle Bedienung, gute Karte, leckeres Essen. Wir waren heute mit 6 Personen geschäftlich dort essen. Der Besuch war spontan, da wir noch Zeit hatten bis zum nächsten Termin. Das Tagesmenü mit Ravioli und wolfsbarsch war perfekt. Beim nächsten Besuch in Bad Homburg kommen wir wieder.

The waiter was knowledgeable about Italian food and wine, he was on point the entire night.We were treated like family. I think the entire staff was Italian. The appetizers, meals, desserts, and wine were amazing. The owner hugged each of us when we left.

Nach dem Besuch bei Da Alfonso bin ich immer sehr zufrieden. Das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich, nett und gibt gute Empfehlungen. Auch die Möglichkeit, aus einer Hauptspeise eine Vorspeise zu erstellen, ist hervorragend geglückt. Offene Weine sind ebenso zu empfehlen wie Flaschenweine. Die Qualität der Speisen ist vorzüglich. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir waren an einem Samstag Abend, zum Glück mit Reservierung, zum ersten Mal bei Da Alfonso. Die Bedienung war sehr direkt, was man mögen muss, aber in Verbindung mit dem Ambiente entspricht das unseren Erfahrungen in Italien, wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Meine Frau hatte ein 4-Gänge Menü bestellt u.a. einen kleine Salat (sehr raffiniert verfeinert mit Wasabi Nüssen Grantatapfel u. Feldsalat)), Kürbis-Buttercreme Suppe, als Hauptspeise eine Goldbrasse gegrillt, als Nachspeise Parfait des Tages... ...ich habe mich als Vorspeise auf das Rindercarpaccio mit Rucolasalat und als Hauptspeise auf die Ravioli mit Ricotta-Spinat-Füllung beschränkt und immer wieder bei meiner Frau genascht (natürlich ihrem Essen). Al Aperetif hatten wir beide einen Prosecco und als Wein eine Flasche Sud Primitivo di Manduria, sehr beerig und trotzdem trocken. Uns hat bis auf dem Spinat, der zu knoblauchlastig war, alles hervorragend geschmeckt. Für uns war es ein toller Abend - gerne wieder!

Super freundlicher Service trotz vollem Lokal. Sehr schmackhaft und angenehm zu sitzen... große Auswahl an Speisen. Nicht billig, aber diese Qualität hat ihren Preis. Gerne wieder
