Fantastic location and competent staff

We were looking forward to a lovely evening last night. The ambience is absolutely fine. The food and service were subpar. I was very annoyed and asked myself how one sells one's guests for such stupidity. Instead of the Arrabiata I ordered, I received a really carelessly prepared Aglio e Olio. It was just a huge, slapped-on mountain of noodles. Unfortunately, I lost my appetite when I saw it. I pointed out to the waiter that I had ordered an arrabiata. Just 30 seconds later he came with this same Aglio e Olio and a portion of tomato sauce on top. I asked for spiciness because this food wasn't nearly spicy. It was oily, full of garlic and a tomato sauce. The waiter said, oh, they like it spicy, went into the kitchen and came back with the plate with chopped pepperoni from the jar. It was really disgusting. And: How stupid is the guest being sold for?! Can't you expect a perfect arrabiata for 15€?! My friend got salmon with avocado. The salmon smelled fishy (yuck) and was greasy. This was immediately retracted by the waiter after it was brought to his attention. Well, you can try it. Maybe the customer will eat it! No apology, nothing. You can make fun of yourself. This is not a good and certainly not a nice restaurant. No love for his guests and good food. Disgusting. I've never been so annoyed by a restaurant!

Restaurant well decorated but very noisy. Eat little quality, The truffle pasta was cold and dry Pizza dough was really good but the toppings were sparse and didn't taste convincing

We waited for the food for quite a long time. Pizza prosscioto was not fully cooked, mushrooms half green and soggy. The ravioli were already cold.

Super nice staff and great food in a cozy but modern atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Once and never again, we were there on Tuesday December 17th, 2024 around 8:45 p.m., and were quickly told by a very unfriendly employee that it was full here, there was nothing left here today. I've never experienced anything like that before. Even when the store is full, always remain friendly.

Nice place. However, the portions were a bit too small for me.

I am absolutely disappointed, the prices are getting higher and the pizzas are getting smaller and smaller, the salad wasn't as ordered, the avocado was missing and it was poor and bland.

The Osteria in Bad Homburg is a truly remarkable place! The service, especially from Fabrizio, is simply outstanding. He takes time for his guests and manages to read their wishes from their eyes. This personal touch makes the visit a special experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, and you immediately feel at home. The quality of the food and drinks is also first class. I can only warmly recommend the Osteria - a must for anyone who is in Bad Homburg!

Very nice restaurant, we were there for dinner with a larger group. Even though there were over ten of us, the food came at the same time. Pinsa was good, unfortunately a bit too cross.

Unfortunately a disappointment! I had ravioli with wild boar. The whole dish tasted like additives and not fresh at all!!! Absolutely outrageous for the price.

The ambience is okay, everything is good, but I think it's a shame that cold and motionless complaints are not taken seriously and I get a pointless, blunt apology because there was plastic in my food. I didn't get a replacement nor did I get a good argument for the guest despite a mistake, which can happen! To bend straight again no, it's just accepted that way, that's it once and never again. I should even pay for food that contained plastic, something like that doesn't work at all!! 😡 I would be okay on my own but for almost 50 euros in expenses it would still be possible??? Update to entrepreneurs no, I have to talk again, my wife is a witness that we would not be offered coffee or anything else. Their claims are false and I will definitely not eat with them again. As a rule, I rarely or never comment on “such visits” because, in my experience, every restaurateur always does his/her best to “make things nice” for the guests and “treat” them accordingly. But what we experienced here, on the first day of the Lantern Festival, was outrageous! We wanted to have a drink and something to eat in the hot weather with two children, all neatly dressed, the kids even know star restaurants. The restaurant wasn't even 30% full and there were only a few reserved signs on the tables. When I asked and at the same time stated where we could sit, I was met with such condescension that we decided to leave the store straight away. Just because you have an attractive, shaded spot in the middle of Bad Homburg and reasonably good reviews, you shouldn't put your nose as high up as a waiter in a white shirt who "rules" the seating. We know: pride comes before a fall 😀 . With the best will in the world, we cannot recommend this “Italian” to families willing to pay! ..

We had been here several times now. Every time a nice experience. The staff is very nice, friendly, polite and fun for everyone. The food is very very tasty. Sometimes you just feel welcome, almost like you are at home. Will definitely come here more often. Stay the way you are. Just class.

Pleasant atmosphere, good food, an asset to Bad Homburg

We recently dined here and while the food was decent, my overall experience was marred by the way non-German speakers and tourists are treated. First, the positives: the menu offers a variety of dishes, and what I ordered was well-prepared and flavorful. The ambiance of the restaurant is also quite pleasant, with a cozy interior and a good atmosphere. However, if you are an English speaker or a tourist, be prepared for a less than welcoming experience. The staff seemed noticeably impatient and unaccommodating towards those who struggled with the language. Service was brisk and curt, lacking the warmth and friendliness one would hope for. It felt as though the staff were more interested in serving local patrons, making the entire dining experience feel uninviting and uncomfortable. In conclusion, while the food here is satisfactory, the poor treatment of non-German speaking customers significantly detracts from the dining experience. If you don't speak German fluently or are visiting from abroad, you might want to consider other dining options where you will be welcomed and treated with the courtesy you deserve.

We had a very nice evening at Isoletta. The atmosphere was cozy, the food tasted delicious and the price was also reasonable. In addition, the staff was simply welcoming, joined in with jokes and gave us a drink on the house. Always my pleasure!

We were there for lunch with a group of 12 people. Our wish to sit outside wasn't fulfilled at first - but then it was - but we had the feeling we were being annoying when we then expressed the wish to separate the meat from the rest of the starter platter Vegetarian. Unfortunately, service has deteriorated a lot - I always enjoyed being there, also because of the friendliness of the employees. Food was good. We didn't feel comfortable or welcome. Well - maybe it was just us

The Pinsa is a very pleasant change from the classic pizza.

Pinsa and seafood were good as always. Ravioli was very small in quantity and not very good. We tried new cocktails, but we didn't like them. The weather was very hot. I guess there is no air conditioning. This makes eating difficult. The waiter was also a little aggressive.

Came for dinner and back for lunch the next day. Pinsa was absolutely superb, waiters are great too up for a laugh. Would reccomend.

Gets full stars from me. The food tastes very good, good wine, the dishes are very nicely prepared. I like the atmosphere on the terrace and also in the restaurant. Despite there being a lot to do, the service was polite and attentive. The price is right and is in the middle range. It was our second visit in a short time and we would love to come back.

We were here again after a long time and it was a bit disappointing. There is no pizza anymore, just Pinsa. You have to like it, I don't need it. My pasta with truffles was only lukewarm, but otherwise delicious. Last autumn a glass of Pino Grigio cost 5.90 euros, now it costs 7.90 euros, which cannot be explained by the VAT increase. Definitely won't be my favorite place

We had booked a table for 15 people on Saturday evening. Totally beautiful atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff who left no wish unfulfilled. The food came for everyone at the same time, it was super tasty and the weekly recommendation stands out from other restaurants, there is something for every taste, the portions for the children were not too much as usual in the usual restaurants. We are always happy to come back here. The outside terrace is also Mediterranean modern and invites you to linger.

The service is very good, unfortunately that's it. The decor is nice, but the acoustics are a disaster. The starters were ok. The pasta appears to be prepared and then warmed in the microwave. The taste was just mediocre. The price is definitely not justified for microwave pasta ***Update*** Reaction to the answer: In my review you see the word “apparently”. This does not make my statement an assertion, but rather my personal impression. That is also what is important in a service. I also only know of one microwave that leaves such marks when you heat up pasta. Maybe you can get these traces with another device. The fact is that the edge was hard and dried out and the sauce was curdled.

Ordered Pinsa Funghi E Salame for Italian food today Ordered a Spezi and was then served from the Mezzomix bottle (that's not possible). Unfortunately, the salami tasted very bad, with a strong fatty taste. My wife's apple juice spritzer also tasted like soda and less like apple juice. Because of my job I get around a lot in Germany and this was a pizzeria that I can't recommend. The restaurant itself is well furnished.

I had a fantastic evening with my girlfriend. The staff was extremely warm and friendly, the dessert was to die for!

Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante per due giorni consecutivi. Eravamo li per la fiera.Siamo stati accolti da un personale competente. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo.Lo consiglio perchè era tutto buonissimo.Fanno anche i tagliolini nella ruota di parmigiano. Andate se vi trovate nella zona. Il locale è accogliente, moderno .

To get straight to the point: simply fantastic! Four of us ate here yesterday on the recommendation of a friend. This would not have been possible without a reservation. The whole restaurant was full. Rightly so! The starter (bruschetta), main course (various pinsa and a risotto) and the dessert (a pinsa with Nutella and berries) for three people were incredibly good. Great ambience, attentive and eloquent service. Even the furnishings were very stylish. And to top it all, the price-performance ratio is right and not overpriced at all. Thank you very much to the entire team.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, das Restaurant war voll und die Mitarbeiter sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich trotz das es sehr voll war ,wir wurden freundlich begrüßt vom Restaurantleiter (fabrizio),man merkt die Mitarbeiter kommen vom Fach. Absolut empfehlenswert. Das Personal ist auf jeden unserer Wünsche eingegangen und war stets zuvorkommend und sympathisch. Der Restaurantleiter war ebenfalls sehr unterhaltend und freundlich und das Essen war einfach spitzenmäßig und die Getränke sehr gut. Kurzum, man hat sich rundum wohl gefühlt und wir werden dieses Restaurant definitiv öfters aufsuchen.

Enttäuschende Erfahrung bei Isoletta Bad Homburg. Trotz Reservierung am 20. Januar wurden wir die gesamte Zeit ignoriert, erhielten nach einer Stunde nicht einmal Wasser. Unfreundlicher und abgehobener Service. Das war das erste und letzte Mal bei Isoletta Bad Homburg. Letztendlich sind wir zu einem anderen, deutlich sympathischeren Italiener (Pane e Vino) gegangen und wurden sehr herzlich bedient.

Nachdem der Hauptgang (2 Pinsas) nach über einer Stunde nicht gekommen ist, haben wir uns entschieden, zu gehen. Wir hatten 2 Vorspeisen (€ 37,40) 2 Weine im Glas (€ 15) und Wasser mit Kohlensäure (€ 7,90) zusammen € 60,30. Abgerechnet hat das Restaurant € 67,80. Offenbar wollte man uns nicht gehen lassen, ohne das Trinkgeld noch abzurechnen. Nicht ganz die feine englische Art...

Ein Mega tolles Restaurant 😍 Hier stimmt alles. Das Essen ist mega lecker und sehr reichhaltig wer hier nicht satt wird der macht was verkehrt. Das Personal unglaublich freundlich, zu scherzen aufgelegt und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir können das Restaurant mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen
