As always, packed with beautiful sunshine. Had to wait a bit for service, but there were only two of us. In the evenings we often sat there and played games and drank delicious beers. Unfortunately they now close at 8pm due to a lack of staff. But we'll be back next year.

A wonderful evening in the guest's house in Norddeich! Our waiter Toni made the evening absolutely unforgettable - super friendly, always in a good mood and simply wonderfully personable. He served us with a smile and made sure we didn't lack for anything. Toni always had a relaxed saying on his lips and rounded off the mood perfectly. It was a fun evening with some drinks and lots of laughs. Big compliments to the entire team and especially to Toni – we'll be happy to come back here!

An absolute gem in Norddeich! The guest's house is a restaurant that we always enjoy visiting. The team here is super friendly and always ensures a good atmosphere with a warm smile and a humorous saying on their lips. It feels like you're staying with friends. The atmosphere is great and the selection of drinks is just right! Unfortunately, you sometimes notice that the great service and friendly atmosphere is marred by a few rude guests. But the team always remains professional and friendly - I have the greatest respect for that! A huge thank you to the guest's house and the wonderful staff who are there with so much commitment and good humor. I have been coming here with my family for 28 years and we are already looking forward to the next visit! I can't understand all the negative reviews - many people should think about what gastronomy actually means and what livelihoods depend on it!

Great store with a beautiful view right on the beach. The service is friendly. The food is okay in terms of price and performance.

I recently visited the guest's house in Norddeich and was completely thrilled! I was warmly welcomed as soon as I entered - the staff even greeted some guests with a handshake, which created a particularly personal atmosphere. All the employees were consistently friendly and made sure that you felt comfortable with their humor and good mood. There was a lot of joking, but always in a respectful and authentic way. A really great place to have a drink and fully enjoy the hospitality. Absolutely recommended!

I would prefer to give 0 stars. The store is the last hole. Waiter is extremely unfriendly and insulting. The shop closes at 8 p.m. and throws the guests out before the end of the game, even though sky is advertised. Orders will only be taken half an hour before closing time. Don't deserve any stars, go somewhere else!!!

The staff is friendly and helpful, it's a shame that you have to get the food yourself and even if you eat in the restaurant you get the food in plastic or cardboard bowls otherwise, well, the price is just about right

Very full, service in the bar truck overwhelmed

After a lovely walk across the deck we came upon the guest's house. Despite it being full, we received our drinks quickly and the food was ready quickly. It's just very pleasant to enjoy the good weather right on the beach. The toilets were clean, but had to be unlocked with a chip that was available to guests at the counter. In any case, we really enjoyed our little break there.

Food is advertised, there is no information or maps about it on site and there is hardly any trace of service. In an empty restaurant you will often be looked at but not served. Absolute no-go service. You won't be greeted either!

Location beautiful. Operation outside was totally overwhelmed as only 2 people were deployed.

The location is wonderful, you have a wonderful view of the North Sea, the food and drinks are good. During the season there is live music twice a week, special sports highlights and the Bundesliga conference are broadcast. My next visit here is definitely planned!! The negative reviews from the staff here are really unfair. Everyone can't do more than work. Some guests are simply rude on site and should think about their own tone.

Overall, we really liked the guest's house in Norddeich. What was particularly positive was the quick service and the friendly staff, who made our stay pleasant. The food was solid. We didn't expect that you had to order the warm food separately from the baguette, but that wasn't a problem. Nevertheless, the ambience was convincing: the house is spacious and the view of the Wadden Sea is simply fantastic. The place is perfect for unwinding, especially on the terrace when the weather is nice. The overall very good atmosphere and the friendly staff round off the visit. We'd love to come back!

You often wait quite a long time for service

Waiting for half an hour for drinks, staff overwhelmed even though the shop isn't completely full, and they also urgently need to work on politeness.

There you always have the opportunity to go to a toilet and there is a restaurant outside and inside, the view is just beautiful

So, apart from the view, the way guests are treated here is absolutely subterranean & when it comes to dog owners, they go the extra mile & refer to some house rules!! Yes, you generally read them before you enter a restaurant. This is how I imagine the house of the "uninvited guest".

We went here for drinks with a group last night. So far we have always had a very friendly waiter with a lot of humor. But yesterday a young waiter served us in a shameless manner. From now on they close at 9 p.m. When we wanted to order another beer shortly before 9:30 a.m., he said very harshly, if only a small one. When paying, we pointed out his unpleasant tone. If you don't like it, you don't have to come here. Was his comment. Actually it was our regular place. Not anymore. Too bad!

Hello everyone, so I don't understand the negative reviews? We have always received courteous service, the staff have always been friendly and always have something to say. The drinks and food are always good too. I think the bad reviews come from professional complainers who are not happy with themselves and the world. It's better for them to stay at home and have fun there. On the outdoor terrace you can enjoy the Wadden Sea, the good air, the drinks and the friendly service. We like being in the guest's house and have been doing so for about 15 years.

Went there for a small snack. Two fried fish with rolls and one chicken nuggets with roll. Everything was freshly prepared. The fried fish was two fish fillets in batter, with rolls and sauce. 8.90 euros each. We all got well fed. The only thing that didn't work was ordering and delivering the drinks. One waiter seemed quite overworked. Otherwise very good and we will definitely come back again.

Waited 45 minutes for a beer. The waiter outside said that the guests had time because they were on vacation. We were then informed that our small dog was not allowed on the lap because the table was a "dining surface" and the dog could touch it with his snout. Unfortunately, the guest's house was not very hospitable.

In the evening we sat outside on the covered, wind-protected terrace and enjoyed a beautiful view of the Wadden Sea. Outside you had the opportunity to order and eat small dishes from the “feed hatch”. The prices were okay.

My daughter thought her chicken nuggets were tasty, the fries were okay, but the fried fish! Terrible! It might have been tasty if it had been properly descaled first. So it wasn't a fun meal.

Dude, I was here for the first time today with my brother-in-law from the north. What I experienced there was really the worst thing ever. The service was totally unfriendly and when we asked after waiting 10 minutes whether we could order, she told us to just wait another 10 minutes. Then she just ran away and laughed. That's not how you treat guests! The guy should really look for another job. I would also like to talk to the boss if you want.

You can sit there very well, outside or inside. Nice service. The sea buckthorn spritz was particularly delicious.

We won't go there again because the service is very unfriendly and there were lots of broken glass under the tables. We also noticed that not a single table was cleaned. We wiped with a wet wipe. It was pretty dirty afterwards. Only the beautiful view earns it one star. It used to be much more comfortable there.

It's a nice view, but it was too crowded for us. As others have already written, you feel like you are in a large open-air canteen.

Super friendly waiters Apparently Axel is no longer there. The waiters seem to be overwhelmed, with this company two are definitely not enough. They still try to take the order quickly.

Depending on the service staff, you may be served quickly and humorously or slowly and annoyed. Accordingly, we felt comfortable or not. What we (a group of 6 people) didn't understand on both evenings (Friday and Saturday) was the "last call" about 2 hours before the designated end time even though there was still a lot going on. The location by the sea/dyke is of course great. The bistro/restaurant part also offers a small menu with delicious food. We can recommend the fried fish and kibbeling.

Live music on Wednesdays. Really great.

You probably shouldn't complain about €4 for a portion of fries at a tourist hotspot, but what you can complain about is the bad service! We particularly noticed the gentleman in the "feed hatch" reception area as being extremely unfriendly! It's a shame, we can't come here anymore! 3 stars only because of the good location.

Had a latte and a cocoa there. The service was super funny, just my sense of humor.

Unfortunately the currywurst was very bad; The sauce was absolutely subpar and only tasted like vinegar and bucket goods... definitely better on previous visits. Service was ok.

Fish cake on the fin and a shandy. Can't say anything, no demands, no disappointments 😉

We were just there and wanted to have a drink. We were rudely turned away at the counter: "We're being served!" After waiting for 10 minutes, we spoke to a service person, but she stopped accepting!! ?? and didn't want to serve us. Service is different. Too bad.

Nice atmosphere. Dogs are allowed in (must be clean & dry and stay under the table). Drinks came quickly. A snack took almost 60 minutes to arrive (pretzel with salted butter for 3.50 euros). When we asked, we were rudely approached by the waiter. He seemed visibly overwhelmed/annoyed. Ok, it was full and it looked like there was a staff shortage (3 people in total) - so it could well have been that something went wrong. But when asked, even overwhelmed staff should remain friendly to the guest...

You can sit there, look at the sea and enjoy the sun. As usual in Friesland, drinks and food are available there for young and old. Beach feeling.

There's actually a nice atmosphere and it's in a great location. Unfortunately, when we were there, some of the wait staff were sick, which is why one of the terrace areas was closed. However, there was no sign or anything like that there. Some guests also had their drinks in front of them. Since we didn't know, we sat down and the waitress took our orders. Everything still without problems. When he brought the order, however, he laughed at us and said, "How stupid are the Germans that they don't notice that if there are no ashtrays or salt shakers on the tables, the area is closed." We felt it was audacious to insult and laugh at the guests like that. Shortly afterwards, the same man slammed the door to the outside area and simply ignored new guests. My recommendation to the store, get a sign. The area was busy with guests and the whole place was otherwise very full. So it didn't seem like the part was closed. Except for the missing salt shaker and ashtray. It could have been a non-smoking area. And not every restaurant has salt on every table.

Because there is a shortage of staff, we were not served, and the offer that we could get our own food and bring the dishes back was also rejected.

Stopped there again today. Beer from the kiosk is much cheaper from the bottle, but also goes well with fries and fried fish. Both the fries and the fried fish were perfect again. Fries crispy, crunchy and well seasoned. The fried fish is brilliantly baked, crispy on the outside and to the point on the inside. The service staff, from reception to delivery, are highly motivated, always friendly and very hard-working. Top team keep it up. Yes, the prices... I put up the current price table and clearly everything is getting more expensive. But the employees also have to be paid well (I hope), otherwise no one will do the job anymore.

Prices are now expensive, although many things have become cheaper again and are not passed on to the guests.

Always a must on every Norddeich holiday! Always happy to come back. Drinks and food great!

Right on the promenade, nice to sit and relax

Eating, drinking, sitting comfortably, we love being there on holiday.

Were there today, you can completely forget about it, first you had to let us know that we were sitting there and then we waited for over half an hour for someone to come and take our order, then we waited another over half an hour for our drinks because Eating was self-service and you had to get it from outside (totally stupid in a restaurant) and then we left the food behind. When our drinks finally arrived after half an hour, we could forget about them - Coca Cola tasted like water and had no fizz at all.

Super tasty. Prices are perfectly fine. The portions are large and the food is always hot

The food is loveless fryer stuff. Some of the staff were rude and unfriendly. Tried it often, but it doesn't get any better. Tip: Fish sandwiches at the kiosk and drinks outside at the beer cart. Then it's fine

We ate in the feed hatch a total of 3 times during our holiday here. The fried fish is simply delicious. My daughter and my boyfriend also enjoyed the curry sausage fries. The fish cake roll was also great. Nothing to complain about. The drinks must be ordered separately. The waiters were all friendly. All in all very recommendable.

We bought fried fish from the feeding hatch on Norddeich beach. There was a lot going on, but the food was ready quickly (less than 10 minutes). The fried fish was nice and crispy and delicious. The good piece including garlic cream cost €8.90. You can also pay on site by card. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When we are on vacation in East Frisia (preferably off-season), we stop here almost every day on our bike tours to drink a beer with a wonderful sea view. Always freshly tapped and every now and then a fries. By the way, they have always been very tasty.

Okay for a snack. There are typical snack foods such as fries, currywurst and fried fish. Food has to be ordered and picked up yourself, service for drinks is very slow. Payment only possible in cash.

We were exchanging ideas here and got caught in a rain shower and then received our ordered food very quickly. We enjoyed it very much and would always like to come back.

No card payments, neither inside nor outside. I don't understand the concept, you have to get your own food outside, even if you sit inside you won't get anything there, the service for drinks is pretty slow, if you've been noticed after 15 minutes, something will come at some point.

We wanted to have a little something to eat and drink with 2 small children and were immediately reprimanded (as we walked in the door) that you couldn't get into the restaurant/pub with a large stroller and that you should put it outside. The tone was very inappropriate at the moment and there was no constructive solution or anything like that. We then went somewhere else where children were welcome.

Unfortunately we can't say anything about the food as we had already waited 20 minutes for a waiter to order something to drink. When after 20 minutes the waiter for the outside area didn't even manage to look at us after passing by several times, the nice ladies at the next table became active; they had already been waiting for 30 minutes to place an order. One of the ladies asked inside whether it was possible to order a drink inside, but was rudely referred to the waiter outside. To mention this again, the waiter in the outside area is the one who has a neck, but does not seem to use it for the activity for which it is attached to the body. When one of the ladies intercepted another waiter outside, he just said that he wasn't responsible for ordering drinks. The lady pointed out to him that my girlfriend and I had been waiting for 20 minutes and she had been waiting for 30 minutes. She was then told in an extremely (un)friendly manner, "Then just wait another 30 minutes." Then they left. If you could give 0 out of 5 stars, I would actually like to give -1 star.
