Very tasty, good portions. The filled crepes are especially recommended.

A really lovely café with a cozy atmosphere. The coffee is delicious and freshly brewed – exactly what you want for a little break. The waffle was good, but more like a "regular" waffle and a bit pricey for what it was. Otherwise, everything is great – friendly service and a pleasant ambiance. I'll definitely be back!

We've been there twice. The ambiance is very simple, but the food is really delicious. You wouldn't guess it from the outside. Highly recommended! The service was friendly. Considering this restaurant is right in the center, I think the price-performance ratio is excellent!

Never had such a bad meal. Fried salmon, okay. Just a large, coarsely chopped potato on the plate, sauce from the packet, and a piece of lettuce with a few carrot zests 🥕 tasteless.

We had the herring platter. The fish was drenched in dressing. Soggy, and only three small pieces. The fried potatoes were dripping with rapeseed oil. It was absolutely terrible. The service and location were good. Once, never again.

It's beautifully situated behind the dike. The service was friendly. But that's unfortunately the only positive thing. Both cakes were subpar. The apple cake was dry, darkly baked, and barely had any apple. The cheesecake with meringue topping was old. The meringue immediately separated from the cake, forming a sticky, rubbery lump. The cake was already very dry on the sides. I returned it, but the waitress wasn't interested either.

A typical tourist restaurant. Service was good and attentive. The food was good, but somewhat carelessly presented (reminiscent of school meals in the East). A different lighting concept would take away from the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's ideal for a quick snack without wanting to linger.

Perfect meal after a perfect day by the sea. What more could you want? Three kinds of fish, all of exceptional quality and incredibly delicious. The portion was almost too big for one person to handle, but I couldn't stop eating. I was so excited that I didn't even think to take a picture. Attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended.

The waffles were very tasty and reasonably priced. The coffee and cappuccino were very weak. Unfortunately, dogs are only allowed on the partially uncovered terrace. Therefore, it's not a good option for us in the future.

Last night, after 8 p.m., I still had a nice meal. The portions were adequate. Of course, they were never enough for a guy. It was nothing special, just a standard schnitzel with fries, although the salad could have been bigger. Otherwise, it was really great. I'd be happy to come back.

A nice little shop in the heart of Norddeich. The cappuccino was delicious, as were the waffles. For the price, we expected a bit more waffle, but it was still tasty.

Attentive service, very good, plentiful, and tasty food. However, I find the surcharge for changes of up to €4 rather generous. That's only a habit in German restaurants; I don't know of any Croatian, Greek, or Italian restaurants. But the items you opt out of aren't reimbursed.

Two herring dishes on the plate – it was quick and tasty here. One was matjes with boiled potatoes, and the other was a "herring platter" (containing Bimarck herring and fried herring). Friendly service, cashless payment, other guests with dogs, but that didn't bother us.

I think one fish plate is enough for two normal persons.

Highly recommended for a restaurant in the heart of the tourist hotspot of Norddeich. Sure, it's not exactly a bargain, but the food was good and definitely filling. Schnitzel with fries: the schnitzel was very well cooked in the pan, the fries were excellent, not over-seasoned. A salad plate with pollock and garlic sauce: the fish was well cooked, the sauce was good, but some of the salad could have been cut a bit more bite-sized. Service was attentive and courteous. All in all, pleasantly surprised; we'd gladly return.

This was our second time here. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and you can really sit and enjoy your meal. Highly recommended.

No!!! The food is the lowest of the low. The breading on the fish was some kind of slapped-together mess, and the fish tasted of nothing. The fried potatoes were mushy and had no flavor. Three different fish plates were on the table in less than 10 minutes. When asked if we liked it, we all said no and explained why, to which he said he couldn't give all three of us everything for free and then walked away. Shortly after, another member of staff came and asked again. We gave the same answer, and he also walked away, presumably talking to his colleague, because after that, the first waiter came back and got really grumpy with us. We were supposed to respect him and show him some respect, and he really yelled at my boyfriend. It's a good thing my boyfriend stayed calm, otherwise the waiter might have escalated things. That's awful. We had to leave, and we paid in full, with one more huge disappointment. Dear people, think carefully in the future about where you want to go and what you are willing to pay for your hard-earned money. This establishment is not worth it in every respect. We went back today for a discussion because we were very upset about leaving the restaurant last night, as you can easily tell from the first part of my report. Today we spoke with the waiter in question again and were able to clarify many things with him in a positive conversation. Together with this waiter, we found a good solution to the misunderstandings and left with a good feeling. My praise goes especially to this waiter, who turned the situation around for the restaurant. I would like to express my gratitude exclusively to him for this.

"Unusually," it's raining right now... so we quickly climb behind the dike and into the attic to watch the raindrops fall while sipping a coffee. Great place to hang out, dream, and watch the seagulls... Tip: the Labskaus is excellent - just as it should be!

Unfortunately, dogs are only allowed on the terrace, which we found a bit of a shame, as it was very windy and chilly that evening. The food and service were good. A wide selection on the menu.

Very good restaurant and good service. We were there for lunch and had an excellent meal. We had a plate of North Sea herring and a large salad. Everything was very tasty and freshly prepared. The prices are accordingly a bit higher. Unfortunately, there is one major negative point. Hence only 4 stars. For one liter of water (Gerolsteiner Sprudel), you pay a whopping €8.40. That's simply a rip-off.

Personally, I would recommend other restaurants in Norddeich. The food was okay, but it felt like it was pre-made. I had a fish platter, which was quite small for just under €30. I also think €7.50 for a side salad is quite a lot. Our son had a pancake with vanilla ice cream...but I think almost €18 for that is pretty outrageous. Especially since it wasn't particularly tasty. The cheeseburger at the next table looked like the pre-packaged ones from the discount store.

Nice location on the promenade. Friendly service. Unfortunately, the "freshly baked baguette" was just a slightly warmed supermarket baguette.

We ordered an iced coffee and an iced chocolate, the size was very small for the price and the cream was sour, I can't recommend it.

I ordered plaice fillet with fries, which was served unusually quickly. The fries seemed like simple frozen goods, and the fish didn't seem fresh either, more like it had been warmed up or frozen. For a restaurant on the North Sea, I expected significantly higher quality, especially at a price of just under €23. Perhaps I was just unlucky that day, but looking at other reviews, this doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. It's a shame, actually, it would have only been two stars, but I'm giving it an extra star for the friendly service.

A super cool experience. It was raining outside, but inside, despite being packed with a large group (including some wheelchair users), it was cozy and quiet. And the food was WOW—☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars, so delicious.

If you're hungry, you'll definitely get your money's worth. Schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and fries arrived piping hot. Service was prompt and super friendly. I'm full and satisfied, and I'll be back.

I wonder if this restaurant ever reads its guests' reviews. I don't think so. They could improve. The food was on the level of a bad snack bar. It was probably all just pre-made goods. The spaghetti Bolognese tasted of nothing. It was the worst spaghetti I've ever eaten. The North Sea crabs probably also came from a package, with salad, for €25, which is a disgrace. But you can deal with tourists. Simply put, a snack bar with seating and poorly prepared food. That's not how you build customer loyalty. 🤢🤮

The service was extremely unfriendly, with barely any German. There were five people and we weren't allowed to sit together. The waitress suggested we sit separately! The food and drinks were abysmal! The apple spritzer was more like still water with an apple flavor. The currywurst was incredibly soggy and undercooked! Disgusting! Never again! Better 0 stars than one!

So these prices are really too high. Offering a roll that wasn't even baked, with no spread, and just a slice of salmon and a much-too-thick onion for €12.90 is outrageous. Then offering crab sandwiches without butter or cocktail sauce, well, for €24.50, you should offer something. The spaghetti Bolognese lacked seasoning and was more like it came from a jar. The service wasn't exactly friendly either, and they should work on that.

The large currywurst was cold, the sauce was also cold and very sparse, and the portion of fries felt more like decoration in terms of quantity. (Well, it was only meant for a small appetite anyway 😉) The Jägerschnitzel was okay, though.

Well located right on the path behind the dike. The pollock and baked potato were delicious, the fried potatoes and fries were unspectacular, and the bratwurst was only lukewarm. That can happen. The large salad plate with oil and vinegar dressing seemed more like a raw vegetable platter. Charging €1 for a carelessly served packet of mayonnaise and €2.50 for a change of side dish is more cheeky than anything to do with long-term customer loyalty.

Due to its proximity to the dike and beach, it's generally busy here, and prices are somewhat higher than in other restaurants. The staff is polite and prompt. The portions are quite large, and the food is tasty. Only the restrooms, which are too small and only accessible to people with disabilities, detract from the overall harmonious atmosphere. Currently (July 2025), pets (e.g., dogs) are no longer allowed in the restaurant. We will therefore avoid this restaurant in the future.

The waitress came to our table quickly and was very friendly. However, the quality of the food didn't match the rather high prices. The Bolognese sauce tasted like a baby food jar. The fries were rather soft, and the jacket potato was also very soft.

The service was nice. We ate there spontaneously. The menu is really extensive and covered everything with fish, meat and children's dishes. Our food arrived after about 7 minutes, which is really quick. The taste was bad, but in terms of quality it was good canteen food. The problem for me is the price and what is delivered. None of the meals were fresh or prepared in-house. Frozen fries, frozen meat, frozen fish. The sauces were from a tetra pack. The side salad was dried out and even the lemon slice with the fish was dry. You have to get used to that. I have no problem with 100 euros for 4 meals, but not when the food is of that standard. Unfortunately I can't recommend it unless you're in a hurry. Then always.

It's deteriorated considerably. The turkey steak was reheated and rock hard. The baked potato was cold, and there was nothing else on the plate, including no garnish. The schnitzel was a shoe sole, and the ketchup for the fries was extra (€1, and only pre-packaged). The cucumber and carrots in the salad, which cost €7.50, were dried out. Even the drinks were a shame.

We do not recommend this restaurant. They obviously use inferior quality products. The fries are small and thin, and then completely hard. When they can't even make fries, that's embarrassing! The potatoes with the fish were completely tasteless and unsalted. I had Jägerschnitzel (a kind of schnitzel). It was fine, but there was far too little mushroom sauce. But the most embarrassing thing is the service. There is hardly any greeting; you are simply left standing and have to ask where to sit. No one asks if everything is OK after the food has been brought (almost in record time). When the waitress asked if everything was OK while clearing the table and I said the fries were almost impossible to bite, she just twisted her mouth slightly. No comment, no regrets! Even when paying, no comment on my complaint, no regrets, no (small) compensation offered. Completely unfriendly and cold service. No smile, no effort to please the guests. I have worked in service myself, and this behavior is completely unacceptable. Maybe they'll take the criticism to heart. But as is so often the case, tourists always pass by unaware. They'd rather go to the neighboring restaurant. A stark contrast.

Never again, The price is unjustified. The atmosphere inside is like a cafeteria. We ordered, among other things, zander fillet. The fillet was boneless, the potatoes were huge, and the mustard sauce was lumpy. When the waitress cleared my almost full plate and asked if everything was okay, and I mentioned the aforementioned defects, she wanted to explain that this is how they get the fish delivered, etc. I didn't want to argue, which I told her unequivocally. She also wanted to argue again when I was paying. I think the chef is responsible for what he puts on the pan, and under normal circumstances, you don't argue with a customer. It should have made us suspicious beforehand, because the fish restaurants around the corner were full, and there were plenty of empty seats here.

Unfortunately, the food we ordered wasn't delivered. There was simply nothing for us. We paid for our drinks at around 6 p.m. and left.

The pancake was undercooked and completely flavorless. The spinach and egg on top were also unseasoned.
