Food was very good, ordered fries instead of fried potatoes. But it went wrong and each of us got extra fries on the house. Very friendly. Unfortunately there were no whiting. There are still Cologne constructions left over from the Corona times, which makes it a little oppressive

Nice, simple restaurant with a good selection of food and drinks. Service friendly, price-performance ratio good. Also easily accessible for people with walkers, wheelchairs, etc. The food was delicious and the portion size of many dishes was selectable - senior portion.

Restaurant directly behind the dike with indoor and outdoor seating. Simply set up. Very extensive menu. Prices appropriate to the location. Currently a lot of offers with kale. I just wanted to eat a little something and decided on the large baked potato with a herring fillet and housewife-style sauce. It tasted really good. Negative: 1 wheat beer 0.5 for 6.20 euros. I'll spare myself a comment on this... That cost 1 star...

Unfortunately I can't give any recommendations here. As drinks we ordered a Köstritzer with Cola Zero and a Köstritzer without Cola. We got two Köstritzer with Cola, although they tasted like regular Cola. Then the food came. The fish was on point, but the breading was over-seasoned. This could not be said about the mushrooms and the alleged fried potatoes. Speaking of fried potatoes. Extremely coarsely diced potatoes were served, which were very firm to the bite and had probably only been in the pan for a short time. Roasted aromas are absent. On the contrary. You only had the taste of potatoes in your mouth. The waitress didn't really listen, didn't respond to my comments about the food and you couldn't understand the waitress who brought the food. Conclusion. Once and not again! It's a shame actually.

The portions are very large, but unfortunately everything is just finished products. It's just too expensive for that. Cleanliness in the toilet also leaves a lot to be desired.

Food wasn't good: a Greek salad with roughly chopped cucumbers, canned cabbage and a few pieces of feta for almost €20. The waitress seemed to want to get rid of us and the toilets had their best days behind them.

Restaurant directly behind the dike, typical tourist restaurant. Drinks and food were served quickly. The burger we ordered was fast food restaurant quality, the crab soup we ordered was so spicy that my son couldn't eat it. You had to look for the crabs in there. Praiseworthy, the soup was taken back and other dishes were offered.

The food was very good and tasty. Not exactly cheap, but that's just the way it is behind the dunes near the beach.

In my opinion, price/performance doesn't fit at all. There are better places to stop for refreshments all around.

We ate here several times during our stay and were always very satisfied! The food was very tasty and the waitresses were friendly and attentive. We had our two dogs with us and this wasn't a problem at all.

Food with a chip shop character, it was enough to fill you up, mayo unfortunately only in small pre-packaged bags, lettuce leaf was wilted, apple spritzer was very thin and without fizz, service seemed very grumpy, I don't have to go back

The owner refused us on the pretext that there were too many of us: 4 adults and a child. The terrace was empty, the tables for 2, 4 or 6 people were free. Extremely disappointed to have had to leave the premises. Not suitable for families with children!

We were there for lunch, it wasn't busy and our dishes came very quickly. The food was delicious and the portions were good, unfortunately the prices are quite high these days. The total amount of the bill for 3 people amazed us for 3 dishes and 3 drinks. 5 years ago the food was significantly cheaper. The service was very friendly, the ambience is fine, there is still room for improvement.

Yesterday there were 6 of us who wanted to go out for dinner with 🐕 when I asked a waitress, she said the dog was only outside and showed me the direction. We went in that direction and wanted to sit there. At this point the gentleman came over, very unfriendly, tone: is the (colleague) disabled? No, we can't sit with 6 people. Pushing tables together is not possible. It's a shame if you don't want to make money. Working in a customer-friendly and customer-oriented manner is different. Especially since the first table was put together there. We will not visit this restaurant with a small group either.

Very nice service and delicious food. Dogs in the outdoor area “under the table” are no problem. It is also child-friendly and barrier-free access is available. A little more expensive, but really worth it.

I had Matjes Hausfrau with not so well seasoned fried potatoes, my wife had a really tasty pancake! Cold drinks, everything good all round!

Shrimp from the local harbor, herring from Emden. My wife had herring on brown bread with onions, perhaps the onions were a bit roughly chopped, not the end of the world. I had North Sea crabs on fried potatoes with a fried egg. I thought the fried potatoes were cut a bit large. Basically ok. 😊

We took a lunch break here on a bike tour from Greetsiel north. We ordered pike perch fillet, unfortunately the food was only at canteen level, a canteen from the 70s... The potatoes were not salted, the spinach was overcooked and tasteless and the fish, which had died twice, was drowning in an indefinable mixture of cheese and sauce.... The service was okay and quick, And the ambience... We were happy when we were back on the bikes.

Good morning, Ordered 3 scoops of ice cream there last night 7/7/24, vanilla, nut and straziatella. You couldn't eat it, it had a lot of components that had a jelly-like consistency. (Not frozen properly) I asked, then they explained that the freezer keeps defrosting itself. Wouldn't always be properly frozen and shown up more often. This shouldn't happen There were no discounts etc. I wouldn't eat ice cream there anymore

Unfortunately, the high prices are more due to the prominent location. The food is rather average. The hollandaise sauce was particularly disappointing.

The food was plentiful and tasted good. My schnitzel was just a little very fatty. My partner's Cordon Bleu, however, doesn't. So I think the pan was just a bit too cold. Can happen. But the schnitzel was still juicy and not fried to death. The drink order took a little too long for me but the food was ready really quickly. However, the service itself was very friendly and therefore the criticism is not relevant to me. From my first visit last year I know that dogs aren't a problem either. In terms of price, it's absolutely reasonable and the quantity is okay (you'll get full). Thumbs up

I actually eat there every time I'm here. I was always very satisfied. This year I came here with two friends and I have to say I am very disappointed. Dogs are no longer allowed in... We arrived around 9 p.m. and wanted to eat something. All three of us wanted fried potatoes instead of boiled potatoes. The whole time there was loud sorting around us, according to the motto: just don't stay too long. We want to call it a day. When the food came, there was boiled potatoes despite the other order. That's what we said and with a lot... we all had fried potatoes. We had just had the last bite in our mouths when the waitress (or boss?) came and wanted to collect. That was around half past nine. When we paid we noticed that everyone had a surcharge of €5 because we wanted different potatoes. I'm willing to pay an extra charge, but for the three of us that was a mere €15. We got up and left... I've never felt so unwelcome anywhere.

Service is ok, but towards the Seestern right in the corner, the portions are too small and too expensive. The Diekster Fischhuus is also cheaper and the portions are also much larger.

The restaurant is located directly behind the dike and you had the choice between places in the sun or in the shade. The salad is a joke. White cabbage from the bucket, grated carrots, some iceberg lettuce and a dollop of dressing in the middle. The turkey breast strips were of course cold. The whole thing costs just under €20. No thanks! Never again.

The location is very nice, the food is good... What surprises me very much... no matter which review I read, no one writes anything about this outrageously inflated price for 1 bottle of Gerolsteiner Sprudel for 8.40 euros!!! How can something like that even be permissible... it really borders on outrageous... non-alcoholic beer 6.20.-!!! Absolute punishment for non-drinkers...what a shame!!

We just got out and I have to say the food was very tasty but I wasn't full 🥲 The waiter with the pigtail came across as very disgusting and annoyed. Therefore, unfortunately, a point is deducted.

Looks delicious food, but the cashier with the braid has a very disgusting manner... so wouldn't come back again even though the food was really very good. Then you accidentally gave 10€ too little and people looked at you strangely and some saying was pressed.

At the weekend I ate a large pancake with baked cherries and vanilla sauce for €17.90. Little cherries, no vanilla flavor in the sauce, just sweet and mushy. In response to my cautious criticism, the waitress said they hadn't had any complaints yet.

Food was okay, but nothing more and really overpriced. Was our first and last time. The breading of the paprika schnitzel wasn't crispy, but rather soggy and it cost €24... Just like the brat currywurst with fries for €10.90, in my opinion it was nothing other than a fried/fried Viennese sausage with fries. I don't have to have it again. There are other places with better prices where it still tastes good.

Everything on the plate is swimming in fat, neither the fried potatoes nor the breading of the schnitzel is even remotely crispy. The food was carelessly slapped onto the plate and completely overpriced. Definitely not recommended!

We ate at Diekster Köken on the way back from Norderney. The location is very central to the action but behind the dike. The service was extremely friendly. The food came after a short time and was very tasty and very well prepared. We will definitely come back on our next Norderney tour and enjoy the excellent food again. 5*****

Food was OK. We were almost the only guests. Had a table near the counter. Waiters leaned against the counter and talked, all the while staring at our table. Was very uncomfortable! We regretted eating there.

The best thing about the restaurant is definitely the location. Especially for tourists, as many souvenir shops and the beach are within easy reach. The selection of food and drinks is huge. However, the food is very expensive and the portions are far too large. The staff are sometimes rude and impatient. The toilets have an unpleasant smell and are too small.

I ate there twice with my husband and dog. In one review someone wrote that their "dog is no longer welcome..." I can not confirm. On the last evening there were even 5 dogs visiting. This worked 95% of the time. We went back to the holiday apartment full and satisfied :-D
