The reason for the visit here was the many above-average reviews here on the platform. There were 5 of us guests and we were very disappointed with the look and taste of the food. The accompanying sauce for the schnitzel was just a thick cream and gave the impression of having a bag as a base, the cocktail sauce for the loveless side salad came from a squeeze bottle (I could see it through the open kitchen door), the kibbles were dry, the accompanying dip was a mixture made from tartar sauce and garlic cream,... In short: food was disappointing. The ambience in the “main building” is rustic, the winter garden is airy, easy parking, friendly service… the latter is the reason for the very kind 3 stars

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend visiting the winter garden. The food is good, home-style and there are large portions at reasonable prices

Had lunch there with three people. Two pangasius fillets with potatoes and salad. First I have some soup. The whole thing for 14 euros. My son had a plaice with vegetables and potatoes and was also very satisfied. The portions were so big that we had the rest of the fish packed up. Very nice and attentive service. You can get your fill here. Thank you for the delicious food and the friendly service.

Great food in a “quaint” restaurant. Time has stood still when it comes to the interior, but if you're not put off by rustic oak and love good food, this is the place for you. At first I was skeptical about the steak because I had often caught tough ones in other restaurants. The waitress just said it had never happened before and I ordered this Medium Plus. And it came with one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Super juicy and fried to perfection. My husband - the schnitzel freak - ordered the three schnitzels and they were also super juicy and perfectly fried. The service with the drinks was something to die for. A seemingly new young waitress didn't look properly several times while making her rounds and missed an empty glass. However, the "old" regular waitresses immediately responded to the signal with an empty beer glass and promptly served a new one of the right kind (my husband and I drank different kinds). The prepared side salad served was fresh and crunchy and differed from the usual salads due to the Chinese cabbage used. The price-performance ratio is simply great and when the bill was paid, we also received the house's own nightcap schnapps "Our Orkan" and sweets. We will come back and continue to try our hand at the menu when we go to the next Norddeich vacation spot.

We've been going there for lunch for years. The service is very nice. Our dogs are also welcome. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

We arrived here in Norddeich for the first time today, wanted to grab something quick to eat and that's why we chose this location because we had reserved a table for Sunday anyway because of my friend's birthday....... Despite not having a reservation, we were able to get a place and what can I say, all in all, just great 🙏👏 Keep it up 💪🙂

A very cozy restaurant. Totally friendly staff. We were there with our dog and he was immediately given a water bowl. The food was super very tasty and a lot. We had a fish platter for 2 people. You even got a second helping of fried potatoes. At the end there was a little snack and a treat for the dog. It's best to book a table in advance

Very, very tasty and also very nice staff But: reservations are really important. It was our first time there and we were lucky and got a spot at a table with another couple without a reservation. Thanks to the couple and the staff We thought if we left at 5 p.m. it wouldn't be that crowded, but it is. I have to say rightly, because the restaurant has been my first choice since then.

Quietly located, lots of seats, super friendly service, soup is served before lunch, you rarely have it and then only on Sundays, large portions and a reasonable price. At the end of our short vacation, perfect.

Rarely have I been advised against a starter because of our menu selection. But the fish platter for 2 people made the starter completely unnecessary. We were both full and right. Rarely have I had such friendly, motivated service :) The restaurant is a bit remote from the center, but that doesn't make it any less good. We had the Holstein Schnitzel, which happened to be “Schnitzel Day” that day and the price was therefore reasonable for a holiday region. The extra sauce I ordered with it wasn't a problem at all, nor was changing the side dish. The meat was very tasty and juicy, but the breading that makes up a schnitzel was unfortunately soggy and fell off the meat, which ruined the taste and consistency a bit. All in all, it was still a good experience, and the toilets were also very clean.

Top food, very nice service! Were there again today. The food was simply great again. I would always recommend this restaurant.

Whenever we are in Norddeich, we visit this restaurant. All dishes are good and recommended. A little variety would be nice when it comes to salad dressing. Otherwise everything was great and always happy!

A great restaurant. The lady from the service was super nice. He explained to me (Baden-Württemberg) exactly how to drink East Frisian tea and took the time to answer my questions. The food was very good. My steak was a little too bloody for my taste but nothing to complain about. At the end we got the house liqueur, which really rounded off the evening. The restaurant is beautifully and lovingly furnished. You come in and immediately feel at home. All in all, a must if you are in the area.

We went here for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. There was a really tasty and hot starter soup in a soup tureen. For the main course there was a generous portion of redfish and pangasius fillet with boiled potatoes, mustard sauce and salad. At the end, the dogs got a treat and we got a piece of candy. All in all, we were super satisfied and the service was very nice.

Typical East Frisian hospitality, down-to-earth, delicious food, a different meal on offer every day. If you definitely want a place, you should reserve or come straight away when it opens. We have been coming here at least once on every holiday for many years.

Very good restaurant with large portions of delicious food. We had dinner with four people and everyone was thrilled. Good selection at fair prices. All around good. But in season you have to reserve a table, which we did again. The only thing for some people is that dogs are allowed in the restaurant. But it wasn't a problem, you couldn't hear the dogs and if you're going on vacation, then you have to go with them. It didn't bother us.

Were invited here for dinner today. 6 adults and 3 children, top service, there is a children's menu for kids, food was brought in advance for the children. Our meals were also prepared in a timely manner and we have rarely had such a delicious, tender schnitzel. Very friendly service, there is also a play area for smaller children. Very friendly staff and good service. Salad with dressing is not to everyone's taste. The quality of the food we ordered was so-so...everything went very quickly and quickly...as always with fried potatoes.

Shortly before closing (still 20 minutes) we, 3 adults and 2 children, received excellent food. Freshly prepared, well seasoned and more than enough (we even packed it to take away). The children received their food immediately. Ours only took slightly longer. Very friendly and attentive staff. We were completely convinced by the overall food-service-price/performance package.

Very tasty food, service very attentive. Our dog was also warmly welcomed and offered water straight away. There are even treats for the dog when we say goodbye.

Very nice staff, we also liked the food and was rich. That's why I gave full points for a schnapps after dinner. Only compromises because the furnishings are a bit too rustic for me personally. A radio station was playing, but it was set so low that it just made a strange background noise in the room, but maybe that was just because we were eating under a loudspeaker. But all in all I would recommend the restaurant and come back.

A nice restaurant in and of itself. We ordered schnitzel with fried potatoes/croquettes. Unfortunately the food was completely over salted and almost inedible. The subsequent criticism was also not well received with the words: It's because of the bacon that it's salty

The food is home-style, the salad takes some getting used to! The service is friendly and attentive! The restaurant has an outdoor terrace, a winter garden and a cozy dining room!

Very nice service, very good schnitzel. The liver from the daily menu was also good. The portions are impressive 😉. Dogs very welcome. The specialty is suckling pig on certain days.

A very pleasant stay. Particularly noteworthy is the generous and lovingly prepared breakfast that Uschi prepared and served us.

The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was very relaxed. As a family we decided on the Kibberlings with fried potatoes. Kibberlings were actually very good, but unfortunately the fried potatoes weren't cooked through But otherwise we were happy with the restaurant

The service staff is friendly and nice, and it's also positive that you can take your dog with you. I can't say much positive about the food. The side salad was ready from the bag with cucumber and tomato, the salad dressing tasted like mayonnaise and ketchup. The dish we had was a grilled plate, which was nothing, the meat was boiled rather than grilled, the rice was not edible, the fries were good. Then we would have matjes, you can't really go wrong, the sauce wasn't homemade, the matjes was bought ready-made, but more of the cheap variety. The prices are way too expensive for the food, €23 for this grilled plate is crazy and the matjes €18.50. We were very disappointed had we promised more, so we won't be coming back and can't recommend it.
