Great view and very nice service. Unfortunately I could only afford a warm cocoa as card payment is not possible and I had to leave hungry. Sorry, but card payments are not possible these days. This is the Middle Ages...

Nice ambience, very nice view of the North Sea, friendly service.

After a walk on the beach in November 24, we wanted to warm up a little. 1st plus point: the dog is allowed in. We chose potato pancakes/salmon and the Nordic fish soup (cream soup). Both dishes were really tasty. But the coffee time dishes (cream puffs, etc.) at the neighboring tables also looked really good. So a nice, entertaining stay with a dog and a direct view of the sea. Top.

We were here twice in the evening (Monday and Tuesday) and immediately found space (2 people). We enjoyed both the tomato soup and the goulash very much. The fries are modestly salted, but that's a matter of taste. The potato pancakes with applesauce are okay. On both evenings we warmed ourselves up with a pot of delicious sea buckthorn tea. As long as it is still light, you can enjoy the great view.

We were in Norddeich for a week. We had dinner at Utkiek on the first evening. Since then my daughter has wanted to eat there every evening. We did it again on the last day. I should give her 1000 stars, but that's not possible. On the first evening I had the herring with fried potatoes (mega) and on the second evening I had the “All In Burger” (even better). My daughter has had the fried fish burger twice and nothing else since then 🤣 In addition, the staff on both days was relaxed, personal and really nice. I have to be honest and say that I can't understand the opening times. It was packed both evenings and definitely didn't look like 6:30pm. Thank you for the great hospitality.

The place has a fly problem, disgusting, if I have to ask for milk with my coffee that's a minus for me, no napkins at the table. Service was very rude

Great view, friendly service, the food was a fried fish plate with fried potatoes and salad, the fried potatoes and the salad were good, but the fried fish was a disaster from Captain Igloo. The good Jever made everything right again.

The restaurant is absolutely recommended. The entire staff was friendly and incredibly hard working! But it didn't seem fake, but authentic. My little son fell asleep during dinner and the employee offered us a blanket for the way home. Really very nice! The food was very tasty. We all got well fed. And while we were eating we were also able to enjoy a beautiful sunset! Thank you very much for the lovely evening!

We had a latte, an East Frisian tea and a waffle with banana. Great view, nice service, waited a little longer due to the rush, but apologized very kindly. So far everything is good.

What can you say, the fact that shortly after we arrived people were lining up to get a table says a lot! At Utkiek today we were able to enjoy excellent food with a fantastic view and friendly service. The fresh waffles and apple pie that were served as dessert are not in the pictures but they tasted fantastic too! I would say you pay a little extra for the location, but it's within reason and I'm happy to do that with the experience!

We drank coffee in the afternoon in beach chairs. The cake and waffles were very good. In the evening you should reserve a table in the restaurant. The view of the North Sea and the sunset are breathtaking.

The view is fantastic, the tea is wonderful and the cake is a dream. You can happily spend your time here. The only drawback: the restaurant is very popular, so there isn't always a space available. :-)

I have never eaten such good fried fish as here! The food was superbly prepared. The salad is a dream. The homemade fries Fritz are simply good. And the sauces are simply brilliant. Thanks for the very good food! Another plus is the unique view of the North Sea....

The friendliness of the staff is underground. I have worked in the catering industry myself and I have never experienced such stroppy, unmotivated and overwhelmed employees anywhere. We have been vacationing in Norddeich for years, and we will avoid this restaurant from now on.

Once and never again! We waited 30 minutes for 2 soups, the tomato soup tasted like it came from a can, the goulash soup had no goulash and the bread was dry and hard! There was no apology for anything!

We sat outside several times for an "evening drink" during our vacation in August. The waitresses were always very friendly (special praise at this point) and the view (of the sunset) was unbeatable. Fair prices and well-chilled drinks.

Top service. Dream view of the North Sea. Delicious East Frisian beer and mega delicious burgers at normal prices! Oh yes, the rice pudding was also very good!

We love coming back to Utkiek every year Everything is just right, from the friendly welcome to the atmosphere to the food and ice cream afterwards.

Service was very inattentive, we waited 25 minutes for drinks, this was the second time. In such a situation, service is the be-all and end-all, things have to be done quickly. Unfortunately it wasn't given. Had to drink my drink quickly as my booked boat trip began.

The food and the service were really great, the ambience is also unbeatable in terms of the view, but you could definitely do more with the space, because with such young owners you would expect a somewhat modern design. You can still stay true to the North Sea style 😉and work a little more on hygiene in the sanitary areas.

I had homemade fries from a local farm, very tasty, I can't comment on the rest. A scoop of ice cream for €1.30 is a bargain these days. Great view of the sea. A cramped powder room in the basement.

Nice view over the dike and to the sea. Also outside seating. Often very windy and cool. Then you sit inside. Because it's small and cozy and warm, it's usually full straight away.

The location outside is really great, but only a few tables. The ice cream is okay for the money.

I can only recommend a very good restaurant.

We were in Norddeich for a long weekend at the beginning of June. Since the weather was unfortunately very mixed, we often sat in the Utkiek and had a drink or a snack. We were mostly lucky to get a table after a short wait. The view is awesome and the service is all very, very nice. The cake, the goulash soup and the rice pudding were also very tasty.

Restaurant with a great view. When the weather is good you can sit in a beach chair in front of the restaurant. Super friendly service. If you want to grab a bite to eat, you're in good hands here. Cakes, ice cream, waffles and cream puffs. The small hearty dishes are also very tasty. I really liked the currywurst in a glass.

Restaurant with beautiful sea views. There is no fresh sea fish on the menu, only frozen, breaded wild salmon. Shovel-shaped plates, in my opinion, also don’t really suit the place.

Restaurant right on the dike, with a wonderful view of the North Sea... Prices are absolutely ok for this location. Menu clear and not overloaded. From burgers to schnitzel, everything your heart desires. In addition to the menu, there is an ice cream menu. This time we only had 2 sundaes, spaghetti classic for €6.50 and a spaghetti blueberry with fresh berries for €7.80. Service very friendly and attentive. There are around 35 seats outside... It's always worth a visit...

Very comfortable to sit outside. Service is nice. Coffee and waffles taste good. View is great. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties as there are too many steps. Women's toilet in the basement is very small.

Wir haben uns nach einem schönen Deichspaziergang auf einen Kaffee hier her zurück gezogen. Das Café ist klein und gemütlich und man hat einen schönen Ausblick auf die Nordsee. Neben Kaffee, Kuchen und Eis kann man auch andere Speisen bestellen. Diese sahen sehr gut aus. Wir hatten zum Kaffee ein Spaghettieis, dieses war sehr lecker. Der Service war super und das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Eine klare Empfehlung von unserer Seite.

Staff friendly, atmosphere great, food delicious. But in my opinion it doesn't match the price/performance ratio. €6.20 for a small glass of iced chocolate is simply excessive

I'm only giving it two stars because the restaurant employee took the dog leash from us and checked the bags hanging on it to see if they were full. We just tie the empty bags to it so that we always have one on hand. As a rule, we throw our used poop bags in the trash. In short: we found it outrageous. The coffee was good, as was the apple strudel. Nevertheless, we won't go there anymore. A pity!!!

Super delicious food, served by very friendly staff, and with a view of the North Sea. What else can you write? It was just really good. We went here for dinner three times during our holiday week. The homemade fries with potatoes from the region are amazing. Be sure to check out the All in Burger if you want a decent burger.

The drinks are pleasant and the food is quite large, just the price is a bit expensive. Otherwise ok.

It's a must when you're here. Pleasant atmosphere, beautiful view of the North Sea and the Drachenwiese. Just relax.

View phenomenal. Everything we ordered was delicious. The child was also very busy with the little children's corner. Going to the toilet is exciting. We would love to come back 😊
